Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 51px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Imperial Seal of Justinian."

"Oh, the Imperial Seal of Justinian!" Kirk says in response. "Well the legend is set, and one of the six teams will have the chance to retrieve that Seal.  Will it be:
"Johnathan and Alison of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Jason and Karina of the Blue Barracudas,
"Gregory and Ariel of the Green Monkeys,
"Evan and Cassandra of the Orange Iguanas,
"Phil and Samantha of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Jim and Morgan of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they must cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today:
"In front of each team there's three icebergs that?re floating in the Moat.  When I say go, one player from each team will run over the icebergs to get to the other side of the Moat.  Then his partner'll run across too, but if a player touches the icebergs with a part of a body other than their feet, they?ll have to start over."
"As soon as the second player steps onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs are going on to the Steps of Knowledge.  Hey teams? are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"Indubitably!" Olmec replies.
"All right!" Kirk laughs his response. "On your marks, get set, GO!"

?There they go!? announces Kirk as the boys on each team work their way across the icebergs.  The first player on the Purple Parrots has a slow start and stays a bit behind the rest, while the Orange Iguanas get their first player across before anyone else does.  The boy on the Blue Barracudas follows suit, then the Red Jaguars is the third team to get its first member across.
?Takes a lot of strength to get across that freezin? Moat!? Kirk comments as the girls on each team start across.  The competition looks like it?s going to the Orange Iguanas, until the girl slips and lands hands-and-knees on the last iceberg; the spotters tell her to go back, but soon after the girl on the Blue Barracudas hits water rather than ?ice? with her foot and effectively walks into the Moat.
?We got our first team, we need three more!? Kirk comments as the girl on the Red Jaguars runs over to hit her team?s gong.  The Silver Snakes hit their gong a moment later. ?There we go! Two more teams can make it to the Temple!? The second players on the Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas try their hardest to make up for lost time, but the other two teams still beat them out.
?And that?s it!? Kirk announces as the fourth gong sound is heard; the camera shows him with the Red Jaguars in front of their gong. ?Red Jaguars did a nice job getting across.  Going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Red Jaguars?? the audience applauds, and each qualifying team is shown briefly on camera? ?and the Green Monkeys? and the Purple Parrots? and the Silver Snakes! The Blue Barracudas and Orange Iguanas, great effort too.  We got a nice gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? Jason, Karina, Evan and Cassandra will each be receiving a backpack provided by Eastpak.

Rediscovery EP: The Imperial Seal of Justinian
« Reply #1 on: June 15, 2009, 11:54:04 PM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "The quest continues, and now it?s time for Olmec to tell us about the Legend of the Imperial Seal of Justinian.  But pay attention, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"One of the greatest rulers of the ancient world was Emperor Justinian.  Known as 'the Emperor who never sleeps,' his emphasis on talent rather than noble upbringing helped him expand the city of Constantinople into the center of the Byzantine Empire.  He was also known for reconstructing the great church, the Hagia Sofia, and his new legal system.
" 'Your Imperiousness, sir, are you sure you want to do this?' asked Justinian?s scribe, Tribonian. 'It seems very drastic.'
" 'I?m absolutely sure!' replied Justinian. 'Maybe no one?s tried to completely change the legal code in our empire, but it must be done.  See to it!'
" 'Um? Aye-aye, Your Bossness, sir,' said Tribonian, and he got to work writing down the words Justinian dictated.  When he was done, the emperor took a good look over it all.
" 'Perfect!' he declared, and marked the newly-named Code of Justinian with his Great Seal.  You must find the Imperial Seal of Justinian and bring it here."

"Thanks Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So, tell us, where is that Imperial Seal?"
Olmec replies:
"The Imperial Seal can be found in the Knights? Barracks." The camera zooms in on the Seal hanging over the railing, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom step will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we?re now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Was Justinian ruler of the: Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire or Brit???
A stomp by Alison interrupts Olmec: ?Byzantine???
?Correct,? answers Olmec after a second-long pause.
?Nice job, Red Jaguars, step down,? encourages Kirk, and the Red Jaguars move down onto the second level. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Was the new legal code for the empire known as the: Byzantine Constitution, Imperial Code or Code of Justinian??
Alison rings in again: ?Code of Justinian???
?That is correct, replies Olmec.
?One more correct answer, Red Jaguars, and you?re going on to the Temple Games,? says Kirk as the Red Jaguars move down again. ?Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec now asks:
?According to our legend, was Justinian?s scribe named: Tiberius, Tribonian or Trigon??
Johnathan stomps down first, then whispers the answer to Alison, who speaks up: ?Try-bone-ian??
?That is correct!? shouts Olmec, and the Red Jaguars move down to the bottom step.
?Woah! Just like that, the Red Jaguars are moving on to the Steps of Knowledge? I mean the Temple Games!? Kirk announces. ?We still need one more team, who?s it gonna be: The Green Monkeys, the Silver Snakes or the Purple Parrots? Let?s keep going, Olmec.?
Olmec then asks:
?Is a seal a: Symbol pressed into wax, Kingly letter opener or Fish-eating mammal??
After some hesitation, Ariel gongs in: ?A wax symbol???
Olmec pauses, then replies: ?Correct.?
?All right, Green Monkeys on the board!? Kirk comments as the Green Monkeys move down to the second step. ?Next question.?
Olmec continues:
?Which of these churches did Justinian reconstruct: St. Basil?s Cathedral, Notre Dame or the Hagia Sofia??
Ariel hits the marking first again: ?Hagia Sofia!?
?That is correct,? answers Olmec, and the Green Monkeys are urged to move down to the penultimate step.
?One more correct answer and the Green Monkeys are movin? on,? Kirk says, ?but the other teams still have a chance to stage a comeback.  Olmec, continue.?
Olmec does so with the question:
?Which of these great empresses was Justinian?s wife: Catherine the Great, Theodora or the Dragon Lady??
As the third choice is read, Samantha rings in: ?Theodora.?
?Correct,? replies Olmec.
?Silver Snakes can still score,? Kirk comments as the Purple Parrots move down to the second step. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Was the capital of the Byzantine Empire at: Constantinople, Moscow or???
Ariel gongs in: ?Constantinople.?
?That is correct!? declares Olmec, and the Green Monkeys jump down to join the Red Jaguars at the bottom step.
?We got our two teams moving on!? Kirk announces, moving onto the Steps behind the two qualifying teams. ?The Green Monkeys and the Red Jaguars! Purple Parrots, Silver Snakes, come on down, you gave it a great effort.  You?re not going away empty-handed, here?s what we?ve got for you.? Phil, Morgan, Samantha and Jim will each be receiving a small sports package provided by Regent.
The camera shows Kirk standing behind the excited qualifying teams, who are high-fiving each other and celebrating. ?We?ll see these two teams go head-to-head for the rights to enter the Temple,? he says, ?and we?ll do it right after this!? The camera closes in on Olmec, whose mouth opens with a gate-lowering moan before the show fades to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Imperial Seal of Justinian
« Reply #2 on: June 15, 2009, 11:54:39 PM »
Kirk is now standing in front of the Mine Shaft between the two remaining teams. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s hear it for Ariel and Gregory of the Green Monkeys!? The straight-brown-haired girl and blond boy clap along with the audience. ?And Alison and Johnathan of the Red Jaguars!? The strawberry blond girl with freckles and tall, short-haired boy applaud with the audience.
?Why don?t you go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says as the players walk offscreen. ?Let me pull out a Pendant of Life?" He opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera. "They?re playing for those, and the winning team will need those Pendants to protect themselves from the DREADED Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  There are three Temple Games.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec begins:
?The Code of Justinian was made of many different sections and clauses.  In this game, you will only need to retrieve parchments containing four of the sections of the Code of Justinian.  When Kirk gives the signal, crawl to the first cube, grab one of the parchments, then crawl back with it and place it in your bin.  Then, go back to get the next speech.  Along the way you must try to avoid the swinging obstacles.  If you?re hit, you?ll have to go back and start again.?
?The first player to get all four parchments? or the player that?s further along after 60 seconds? wins!?
The camera fades to Kirk. ?Put 60 seconds on the clock,? he says, and a countdown clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?Let?s get the sandbags back in position and then let?s start swinging them again.? The spotters do just that. ?On your marks, get set, GO!?
Ariel and Alison take off, but neither player is very fast.  Ariel brings in her first parchment with 52 seconds remaining, but Alison doesn?t get hers in for another couple of seconds.  Both players are slow and cautious, but even so, Alison is hit with a sandbag at the :42 mark and has to start the second round over.  Ariel brings back her second parchment with 38 seconds on the clock.
?This is tough, it takes a nice timing,? Kirk comments as the girls head out again.  Alison and Ariel both get their parchments at :32, but Alison, having a shorter path back, returns first with 26 seconds to go and puts in her second parchment.  Ariel gets her third parchment in a couple of seconds later, however.  Alison later returns with her third parchment with only eight seconds left, but by that time Ariel has already started to come back with the last one for the Green Monkeys.  She gets it in with four seconds left, ending the Temple Game early.
?That?s it! Come over here, you guys!? Kirk calls as he appears onscreen. ?Green Monkeys, Ariel, got all four parchments before time ended, giving her the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds. ?Red Jaguars can catch up in the next game, it?s worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.?

Olmec continues:
?In his time, Justinian had to put down a number of rebellions in the Byzantine Empire.  In this game, you?ll only be confronting an army of four.  When Kirk gives the signal, load your slingshot and fire a cannonball at one of the soldiers on the wall.  Then reload your slingshot and do it again.
?The first player to knock down all four soldiers? or the player that?s knocked down the most soldiers in 60 seconds? wins.?
?Okay, they?re gonna be knockin? down soldiers here,? Kirk says. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?Oh, better get outta the way? I don?t wanna get hit.? He runs offscreen to the right side. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Johnathan and Gregory take aim at the targets, but initially Johnathan keeps aiming too low.  Gregory sticks to the right, but gets lucky and knocks down his first target for the Green Monkeys on only the second try.  He and Johnathan both come close to scoring with :45 left, but for both of them the target doesn?t fall over.
?This game takes some good aim,? Kirk comments. ?Not how Justinian did it?? Neither player is a crack shot, it turns out.  Johnathan and Gregory both have trouble getting the slingshot to fire where they want it? Johnathan more so, but he gets his first target down with just twelve seconds remaining.  All the while, most of Gregory?s shots were just too light; he has much better aim than Johnathan, but none of his shots are powerful enough to get another target down.  At the last second, Johnathan gets lucky again and knocks over a second target for the Red Jaguars right before time runs out.  A pattern of ceiling spotlights flashes to indicate the Temple Game is over, and Kirk reappears on screen.
?That?s it,? says Kirk, gesturing to the playing fields as he tells the results to the audience. ?Green Monkeys got one soldier down, but Red Jaguars got down two, giving them a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds briefly. ?So it?s all tied up, a half Pendant apiece, we go to the third and final game, it?s worth a full Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3.?

Olmec narrates:
?Under Justinian?s rule, the Byzantine Empire became a powerful trading nation.  In this game you will do some trading with your partner.  When Kirk gives the signal, grab a gold artifact and run out to meet your partner at the middle of the path.  Then pass the gold treasure to your partner, who will slide back and place it in your team?s treasure box.  Then go back and try it again.
?The team with the most pieces of gold in their treasure box after 60 seconds wins.?
?It?s all tied up half Pendant apiece,? Kirk reminds the audience, ?so this?ll decide who goes to the Temple.  Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock then appears on the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
?There they go! Lookin? like a mirror image!? Kirk comments as both teams make the first trade at the :48 mark and the girls both go back to drop the artifacts in with 44 seconds left.  The second round is a bit different, however; the Red Jaguars make the trade-off with :32 remaining and get the second gold artifact in with about 28 seconds to go, but Ariel?s difficulty making it back up to the middle in the second round costs the Green Monkeys some time.  They get the second artifact, but it doesn?t make the bucket until the :24 mark.
?This is a close match,? Kirk comments, but with 18 seconds to go, Johnathan loses grip on the sides and is sent backwards by the bungee cord strapped to his back.  Alison goes back to try and start around the same time, while the Green Monkeys inch closer to each other.  Ariel, however, slips with :12 left and has to start over; Gregory tries to hang on for her.  She doesn?t make it up in time; the Red Jaguars reach for a trade-off with a few seconds left, but the ceiling spotlights flash before Alison can make it back and put the artifact in the bucket.
?Time?s up guys, let?s count it up!? Kirk says as he comes onscreen.  He goes out to the space between the two tracks with the raised edges and grabs the buckets. ?Red Jaguars got?? he pulls the treasures out as he counts? ?one, two objects.  Green Jaguars got one, two objects! It?s a tie? bring out the tiebreaker pedestal!?

?Okay, just stand behind there, Red over there, Green over there,? Kirk says, and the players follow Kirk?s gestures and stand behind the pedestals. ?Here?s the tiebreaker rules.  In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you.  You?ll have three seconds to answer and I must accept your first response.  If you?re right, you and your partner will be going inside the Temple in search of the Imperial Seal of Justinian.  But if you?re wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other team a chance.  All clear?"
The players nod in response.
"Okay, Olmec!" Kirk shouts. "We?re ready for the final question!?

Olmec asks:
?Today, is Constantinople known as: Kiev, Istanbul or Budapest??
Alison hits the gong first: ?Istanbul???
??THAT IS CORRECT!? shouts Olmec, and the Red Jaguars jump onto each other, hug and jump around.
?Olmec?s made his decision, he?s sending the Red Jaguars into the Temple!? Kirk announces; he high-fives Johnathan. ?Nice job!? He then goes to talk to the Green Monkeys. ?Great effort by the Green Monkeys too.  Here?s what we?ve got for them.? Gregory and Ariel will each be receiving a copy of the Sonic Riders Nintendo GameCube game.
The camera cuts back to Kirk standing with the Red Jaguars behind the tiebreaker pedestal. ?We?ll see the Red Jaguars try to make it through Olmec?s Temple with the Imperial Seal of Justinian,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera zooms in on the Imperial Seal in the Knights? Barracks before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Imperial Seal of Justinian
« Reply #3 on: June 15, 2009, 11:55:14 PM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs. "Welcome back to Legends," he says to the camera before turning to talk to the Red Jaguars, Johnathan and Alison. "You two have proven yourselves worthy and earned the right to enter the Temple.  But first, Olmec?s gonna give you some information to help you retrieve the Imperial Seal of Justinian."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Abandoned Cave.
?Climb up the ladder into the Planetarium, and spin the correct sphere to open the door to the SHRINE of the Silver MOOON-key!  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks, where you can grab the Imperial Seal.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, but be careful? one of the suits of armor could be possessed by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you'll have to give up a Pendant of Life! Next, race up to the Laser Light Room, find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Room of Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 1 ? Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am!" Johnathan raises his hand as he answers.
"Very well, Johnathan!" replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Seal.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Alison's turn to enter and try her luck.  Hidden somewhere inside the Temple is the other half of your Pendant.  If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life.  If you can reach the Seal, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Imperial Seal of Justinian in three minutes, and you will be handsomely rewarded? and here's how!"
?   First, they?re each going to receive camping gear provided by Outdoor Products.
?   If they can grab the Imperial Seal within three minutes, they?re both going to receive Compton?s Interactive Encyclopedia on CD-ROM, provided by Compton?s New Media.
?   And if they can get the Seal out of the Temple before three minutes is up, they?ll both be cruising to the Bahamas! A four-day cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line, with two pools, volleyball and basketball courts.  Norwegian Cruise Line.  It?s different out there.  A four-day cruise to the Bahamas, for a prize package totaling $14,270!

"All right! Let?s get ?em on that cruise!" Kirk says before turning to Johnathan. "Let?s get Johnathan out in front.  Mouthpieces in.  Lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec hums as he lowers the gate.
"Set the clock for three minutes.  On your mark Johnathan, get set, GO!"

?There he goes!? Kirk shouts out. ?Up the wall into the Temple!? Johnathan storms up into the Room of Temple Gongs and heads into the front of the room immediately.  He hits the leftmost gong, automatically opening the door to the Bridge, but as he races for the door he?s met by the first TEMPLE GUARD!
?Woah! There, Temple Guard!? Kirk remarks. ?Gotta give ?em one of his Pendants to move on!? Johnathan quickly hands over the Pendant of Life to the guard and then goes off into the Bridge with 2:50 remaining.  Unfortunately, the door leading into the Laser Light Room doesn?t open, so he doubles back and descends into the Crevasse (2:43).  After a very short time among the ledges, Johnathan hits the actuator for the upper crawl tube and climbs down into the Mine Shaft.  For this episode it takes seven rocks in the bucket for the stone slab covering the door to rise all the way, but Johnathan saves time by putting in the rocks two at a time.  He hits the actuator for the Crystal Cave door and signals for the half Pendant on the actuator by looking at Alison and pointing at it for two seconds.  He then slides into the Crystal Cave, but in the corner of the room lurks the second TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh! Go Alison!? Kirk shouts, sending Alison on her way as Johnathan is taken out of the Temple with 2:19 remaining. ?She?s got a half a Pendant; Johnathan showed her the other half, smart move!? Alison jogs up into the Room of Temple Gongs and across the Bridge, meeting the same locked door Johnathan did not too long ago.  After a while, she goes back into the Room of Temple Gongs and climbs down into the Crevasse (2:05).  She gradually descends as deep down into the ledges as possible.
?That?s not the?? Kirk begins as he watches Alison climb down and go across into the old Cave of Sighs entrance players used to enter or leave through fifteen years prior (1:49). ?That?s not where you go out of there!? Alison turns her head to Kirk and the cameraman. ?You gotta go back up and go to the Mine Shaft!? Alison looks around.
?You gotta go back up!? repeats Johnathan.  Alison gradually climbs back to the top of the ledges, finally seeing the crawl tube Johnathan used to leave the Crevasse and entering the tube with 1:30 remaining.  She goes through the Mine Shaft at a fair pace, bypassing the half Pendant on the actuator in the process.
?She just passed up the half Pendant in the Mine Shaft!? Kirk shouts, and Alison looks around.  She walks back towards the door she went through to enter the Crystal Cave.
?Go back! Go back!? Johnathan yells several times. ?Look on the button! Go back Alison!?
Alison crawls back through into the Mine Shaft, and grabs the half Pendant off the actuator with 1:17 left, after lingering in the doorway for a moment.  She then goes back into the Crystal Cave and pulls down the stalactites.  Although the second stalactite (the one behind the ladder) opens the door into the Junction of the Secret Shafts, Alison pulls down the stalactite stage-left of the ladder as well and then climbs up the ladder to try and enter the Dragon?s Lair.  However, the door is locked.  With exactly a minute left, she goes into the Junction of the Secret Shafts, where she meets the final TEMPLE GUARD!
?Woah, Temple Guard again! Give ?em the Pendant!? Kirk shouts.  Alison slowly gives up the Pendant halves, but the guard lets her go on with one half to save time for the team.  With 52 seconds left, the guard leaves; Alison walks across the room, hits the actuator for the closer crawl tube, but the door doesn?t open.  After a little stalling, she tries the other crawl tube and enters the Switch Inferno (0:40).
?She?s in the Room of the Many Switches!? Kirk comment as Alison appears in the room and looks around. ?She can try to go up or bust through the wall!?
?Just go through the wall!? Johnathan yells out. ?Go through the wall!?
After looking over at Kirk and Johnathan for a moment, Alison goes over to the breakaway rock wall connecting the Switch Inferno and the Abandoned Cave.  She gently pushes the wall, then pushes harder a second time and climbs through into the Abandoned Cave with just thirty seconds to go.
?Thirty seconds left! Hurry Alison!? Kirk shouts.  Alison looks over to listen to him, then wades through the rubble on the ground to get to the ladder which would take her into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. ?She goes through and she?ll be just one room away!? Unfortunately, the door doesn?t open; after Alison tries to snake through the ladder, she climbs around it to get to the actuator, but the door doesn?t open after she tries it twice.  With just eighteen seconds left, Alison climbs back down that ladder and wades across the room to get to the other ladder, which would take her up into the Planetarium (0:10!!).  She climbs up and enters the Planetarium? but we?re out of time!
?Oh! So close, they were only two rooms away!? Kirk remarks, his hand on Johnathan?s shoulder. ?Johnathan cleared out a nice path, Alison couldn?t quite finish up, but they still get the camping gear, and we gotta get outta here.  Join us again for more adventure and another great Legend of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? The camera shows shots of the Knights? Barracks, Shrine of the Silver Monkey and Junction of the Secret Shafts as the credits roll.

Rediscovery EP: The Imperial Seal of Justinian

Temple Run Summary
Episode 51px]

Name of Artifact: The Imperial Seal of Justinian
Season: 2
Layout: 3 (7 overall)
Result: Failed acquisition
Time Remaining: N/A
Team: Red Jaguars
Pendants Won: 1.5
Location of Artifact: The Knights' Barracks

This was a pretty unexciting episode, actually.  The only thing that was close to exciting was that the Temple Games competition came down to a tiebreaker, but the games themselves, as well as the legend, were pretty boring and uninspired.

Even this team was the typical match-up of a good player and a dimwitted one.  Johnathan completed three room objectives in good time, but after he was taken out in the Crystal Cave with 2:19 on the clock, Alison went in.  She spent what seemed like forever in the Crevasse, passed up the half Pendant in the Mine Shaft before going back for it and was absolutely clueless in many of the rooms.  She really didn't have that many difficult objectives to complete, but it took her over a minute and a half to get across the bottom floor, made even worse by her trying to break the rock wall by gently nudging it.  She was forced up from the Abandoned Cave into the Planetarium, where time ran out immediately after her arrival.

Trivia and Records:
This is the first time the Planetarium had to be entered (the "Empty Spice Jar of Christopher Columbus" doesn't count, because the player took a wrong turn there)? as the top-corner room for only fourteen episodes, it was very rarely entered.  It's the first episode where the Red Jaguars beat the Green Monkeys, and features one of the most-butchered names for the Switch Inferno: "The Room of Many Switches."
