Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 21px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone."

"Ooh, the Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone!" Kirk says in response. "Well the legend is set, and one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Coonskin Cap.  Will it be:
"Daren and Stacey of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Joe and Lauren of the Blue Barracudas,
"Sean and Tabitha of the Green Monkeys,
"Bryan and Ashley of the Orange Iguanas,
"Lionel and Jessica of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Josh and Emma of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "but in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  First, they must cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today:
"In front of each team are three ropes: one that goes straight across the Moat, and two that crisscross in the middle.  When I say go, one player from each team will grab onto the higher rope and walk across the lower rope.  And when the ropes cross, they'll have to switch their feet to the other rope.  When the first player steps onto the deck, it's his partner's turn to cross."
"When the second player steps onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.  ARE WE READY!"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"Just a second?" Olmec replies. "Okay, let?s go."
"All right then," Kirk replies. "On your marks, get set, GO!"

The teams send their first players onto the rope bridges, but after a little while, the Green Monkeys?, Orange Iguanas? and Silver Snakes? first players are much further along than the other three players crossing the Moat.  The girl on the Orange Iguanas is the first player to switch her feet to the other rope, the other teams beginning to catch up.  And so the first player to step off onto the deck is instead the girl on the Silver Snakes, with the girl on the Orange Iguanas only a few seconds behind her.
?It?s comin? back to a close one!? Kirk comments as the boy on the Green Monkeys steps off the bottom rope. ?Dunno who?s gonna win, it?s not over yet!? The boy on the Red Jaguars steps off the rope only a few seconds later, the boy on the Blue Barracudas and the girl on the Purple Parrots right behind.
?We got Green Monkeys in?? this is said roughly thirty seconds later when the girl on the Green Monkeys rings her gong? ?Blue Barracudas in? Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes! That?s it! We?ve got our four teams right here!? Kirk appears standing next to the Red Jaguars. ?Red Jaguars strong all the way through the Moat.  They?re goin? on to the Steps of Knowledge, along with the Blue Barracudas?? the camera goes right down the line to show each qualifying team? ?and the Green Monkeys? and the Silver Snakes! Orange Iguanas and Purple Parrots gave it a great effort too.  We?ve got a great gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? Bryan, Ashley, Jessica and Lionel will each be receiving a copy of How to Eat Fried Worms on DVD.

Rediscovery EP: The Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone
« Reply #1 on: April 16, 2007, 04:23:21 PM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone.  But pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you one step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"Born in Pennsylvania in 1734 was one of the best-known American frontiersmen.  His name was Daniel Boone.  He served in the French and Indian War, but is most famous for being a skilled hunter and trader.  Only a few years before the Revolutionary War began, Daniel made his way past enemy Indian lines and founded the first city in what we know today as Kentucky, but the Indians were not pleased.
"'You not belong in our land.  Turn back.'
"'Nothin? doin?! I got this land fair and square.'
"'If you not leave, we take your girl.'
"The Indian chief then captured Daniel?s daughter Jemima and took her away.  Daniel secretly followed the chief, but since the trip took a few days, he had to stop and hunt for food.  One day he caught a number of raccoons, and used the pelt of one of them to make a hat for himself.
"When Daniel finally caught up to the Indians, he put on his new coonskin cap, grabbed his musket and ambushed the men who captured Jemima.  He managed to defeat the chief and rescue his daughter, but his coonskin cap disappeared in the fray.  Your quest is to retrieve the Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone and bring it back here."

"Thank you Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So, where?s the Raccoon-Skin Cap?"
Olmec replies:
"The Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone can be found in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey." The camera zooms in on the Coonskin Cap on the camera-left shelf in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  All right Olmec, we're now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Was Daniel Boone: an Englishman, an American, or???
Daren buzzes in first: ?American???
?Correct,? replies Olmec.
?All right, step down!? Kirk shouts, and Daren and his partner Stacey move down a step. ?Red Jaguars on the board.  Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec asks:
?Was Daniel famous for being a skilled: Hunter, Politician, or???
Emma stomps down first: ?A hunter???
?Correct,? Olmec answers.
?Okay, step down!? Kirk says, and the Silver Snakes move down a step. ?Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Which of Daniel?s relatives was kidnapped: His daughter, His wife, or His sister??
Stacey gongs in: ?His daughter???
?That is correct,? Olmec answers, and the Red Jaguars move down to the third step.
?Red Jaguars are now only one step away from the Temple Games,? Kirk explains. ?But we?re lookin? for two teams.  Next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Was Daniel?s daughter named: Julia, Jessica, or Jemima??
Lauren rings in: ?Jemima???
?Correct,? Olmec replies, and the Blue Barracudas move down one step.
?There?s enough time for the Green Monkeys to catch up,? Kirk comments. ?Next question, Mr. Olmec.?
Olmec asks:
Was Jemima captured by???
Tabitha stomps down first: ?Indian chief???
?Correct,? Olmec replies, and the Green Monkeys move down to the second step.
?It?s anybody?s game now, I guess,? Kirk narrates. ?Let?s continue.  Olmec!?
Olmec now asks:
?Daniel founded the first city in Kentucky.  Was this city called: Booneburg, Boonesborough, or Danielsdale??
After a moment of hesitation, Sean rings in: ?Boonesburg.?
?Incorrect,? Olmec answers.
Then Emma stomps down: ?Boonesborough???
?That is correct,? replies Olmec.  The Silver Snakes move down to the third step.
?Silver Snakes are now tied with the Red Jaguars,? Kirk says. ?There?s still time for the other teams to catch up.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec continues:
?Did Daniel serve in the: French and Indian War, the Revolutionary War, or the War of 1812??
Lauren gongs in: ?Nnn? French and Indian???
?That is correct,? Olmec answers as Lauren says ?war.? The Blue Barracudas then move down to the third step.
?There?s still time for the Green Monkeys to catch up,? Kirk explains. ?I think we?re ready for the next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Was Daniel born in: Georgia, Pennsylvania or New Hampshire??
Josh buzzes in: ?Uhh? Pennsylvania.?
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, and the Silver Snakes move down to the bottom step.
?All right, we?ve got one team that?s goin? on to the Temple Games,? Kirk explains. ?But who?s gonna join them: the Green Monkeys, the Red Jaguars or the Blue Barracudas? Let?s keep it going.?
Olmec then asks:
?Daniel fought in a battle in the French and Indian War which took place in Pennsylvania.  Was this battle: the Battle of Fort Frontenac, the Battle of Qu?bec, or the Battle of Monongahela??
Tabitha buzzes in, but takes a second to answer: ??? Mon-o? guh-heel-uh??
?That is correct,? replies Olmec, and the Green Monkeys move down a step.
?It?s all tied up on the second-to-last step!? Kirk announces. ?This next question might decide who goes to the Temple.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?What treaty was signed ending the French and Indian War: the Treaty of Versailles, the Treaty of Paris, or the Treaty of Ghent??
Sean gongs in and guesses: ?The Treaty of Paris???
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, and the Green Monkeys join the Silver Snakes on the bottom level.
?All right! We?ve got our two teams right here!? Kirk announces, walking up to the back of the bottom step. ?The Green Monkeys and the Silver Snakes! Red Jaguars and Blue Barracudas gave it a great effort too.  We?ve got a great gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? Daren, Joe, Lauren and Stacey will each be receiving a $50 U.S. Savings Bond provided by Skechers.
Kirk stands between the two winning teams on the bottommost Step of Knowledge. ?These two teams will be playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?and they?re gonna do it right after this!? The camera views the cheering members of the audience, then fades to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone
« Reply #2 on: April 16, 2007, 04:30:30 PM »
Kirk stands between the two teams and in front of the Steps of Knowledge. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s talk to our team players.? He turns to the camera-left side of the screen to interview the short-dark-haired girl on the Silver Snakes. ?On the Silver Snakes, we have Emma.  How old are you??
?Twelve,? Emma replies.
?Now, I understand you like swimming and singing, and you want to be a veterinarian,? Kirk says. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well,? Emma explains, her brown eyes lighting up, ?I? like animals, I wanna help animals.?
?Sounds nice,? Kirk says, going to talk to the brown-haired boy on the camera-right side of Emma. ?And your partner here is Josh.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? Josh replies.
?And I understand you?re all into basketball,? Kirk says. ?Tell me about that.?
?Uh, I watch the games on TV a lot,? Josh tries to explain.
?Favorite team?? Kirk asks.
?Umm? probably the Lakers,? Josh replies.
?And you play basketball a lot too, right?? Kirk asks.
?Yeah,? Josh answers shortly.
?All right,? Kirk replies. ?Let?s hear it for the Silver Snakes!? The audience applauds for a moment, and Kirk goes to talk to the brown-haired girl on the other team. ?But on the Green Monkeys, we have Tabitha.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? replies Tabitha.
?And you?re into cheerleading and you?re? in a rock band,? Kirk reads on the index card in front of his face. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well?? Tabitha begins, ?I sing and, um, I?m learning to play guitar.?
?Does the band have a name?? Kirk asks.
?The Sisters of Rock,? she replies. ?It?s an all-girls band.?
Kirk then goes to interview Tabitha?s short, blond teammate. ?And Sean, how old are you??
?Eleven,? Sean answers.
?And you?re in a rock band too,? Kirk reads. ?Tell me about that.?
?Um, I play the drums,? Sean replies, ?just learning how for a couple years now.?
?Does your band have a name?? asks Kirk.
?No? um? we?re still thinking of one,? he explains.
?Well you guys?re gonna have to make some music in these Temple Games,? Kirk comments. ?Let?s hear it for the Green Monkeys!? The audience applauds again.

?Why don?t you go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says as the players walk offscreen in different directions. ?In the Temple Games, teams are competing to win?" he opens his pocket and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "Pendants of Life.  The winning team will need those Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through Olmec?s Temple.  There are three Temple Games, and Olmec? tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec begins:
?In Daniel Boone?s time, people got from place to place on horseback, and in this game, you must prove your horsemanship.  Hold on tight to the horse you?re lying on, because when Kirk gives the signal, the horse will begin to spin.
?The player that?s still on the horse after 60 seconds? or the player that stays on the longest? wins.?
The camera fades to Kirk, who is standing in front of the mechanical horse. ?It?s gonna be a bumpy ride,? he says. ?Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock then appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Tabitha and Emma hold on tight to the mechanical horses as ?they?re gettin? tossed around clockwise,? in the words of Kirk.  The machine starts spinning counterclockwise after about fifteen seconds, but shortly after the rotations reverse direction, Emma falls off with 32 seconds to go.
?Whoa! That was wild!? Kirk says, going over to declare a winner. ?Great job by both teams, but Green Monkeys stayed on the longest, so they get a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds for a moment as Kirk goes to talk to Emma. ?You? uh? had some trouble staying on there,? he says to her. ?Tell me what happened.?
?It? surprised me there,? she explains. ?I didn?t? um, expect it to go the other way.?
?Well, no worries,? Kirk replies. ?Silver Snakes can catch up in the next game, it?s also worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?Daniel had to follow the Indians? path when they captured his daughter Jemima.  In this game, you must follow their trail.  When Kirk gives the signal, climb on the wheel and adjust your weight to make the wheel spin.  When it makes one full rotation, it means you have traveled one mile toward the Indians? territory.  The player who travels the most miles toward the Indians? territory in 60 seconds wins.?
?All right, they?re on the road again,? comments Kirk. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock then appears in the corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Sean and Josh take off at a good pace, but use different methods trying to turn the wheel.  Sean turns it by running just on his feet, but Josh goes along on all fours.  Having less support on the wheel, Sean falls right off with 44 seconds left, while Josh keeps going until there?s 35 seconds to go.  They each stick with their plans, but each fall off a few more times before the ceiling lights flash to end the game.
?Okay!? Kirk shouts, running over to check the scoreboards. ?Green Monkeys got 8 miles to finding Jemima, Silver Snakes got 13 miles! Silver Snakes get a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds for a moment as Kirk goes to talk to Sean. ?You? uh? had a tough time staying on the? uh? the wheel,? he says. ?What happened??
?Well, um,? Sean begins, ?I dunno? I guess I couldn?t keep balanced.?
?Well you can win this next game and go to the Temple,? Kirk says. ?It?s the third and final game.  It?s worth a full Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec narrates:
?Once he got to the Indians? camp, Daniel had to take them down to rescue his daughter Jemima.  Now you must take down the group of Indian warriors in front of you.  When Kirk gives the signal, lob a cannonball at one of the warriors on the wall.  Then you partner will place a cannonball in the slingshot and aim at the warriors on the wall.
?The first team to knock down all four warriors ? or the team who?s knocked over the most warriors in 60 seconds? wins.?
?It?s all tied up, a half Pendant apiece,? Kirk reminds the audience. ?Whoever wins this game goes to the Temple.  Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock then appears in the corner of the screen, and Kirk steps to the side. ?On your marks, get set, SHOOT!?
Cannonballs fly everywhere, bouncing off the gongs and splashing into the Moat.  The first target is knocked down by the Silver Snakes, with 36 seconds left.  Green Monkeys knock one over with 29 seconds to go, then a couple more are knocked over as time begins to run out.  The ceiling spotlights flash not too long after, and Kirk runs back onscreen from the camera-left edge to declare the winner.
?Well,? Kirk says. ?Green Monkeys got two down, Silver Monkeys got two down, it?s a tie? they each get a Pendant! That gives them each a Pendant and a half, we go to a tiebreaker! Bring out the tiebreaker pedestals!?

The players run over to the tiebreaker pedestals and stand behind their gongs as directed by Kirk. ?Okay, here?s the tiebreaker rules.  In a minute, Olmec is gonna ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you.  You?ll have three seconds to answer and I must accept your first response.  If you?re right, you and your partner will be going inside the Temple, but if you?re wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance.  All clear?"
The players nod in response.
"Olmec!" Kirk shouts. "What is the final question??

Olmec asks:
?Which of these men was another American frontiersman who fought in the Texas Revolution: Davy Jones, Davy Crockett, or???
Emma hits the gong first: ?Davy Crockett???
?Say that again??? Kirk requests, holding his microphone up to Emma?s mouth.
?Davy Crockett??? she repeats.
After a brief pause, Olmec replies:
?That? is? correct.?
Emma lets out a scream of joy and jumps up and down, then high-fives Josh as the audience cheers. ?Delayed reaction by Olmec,? comments Kirk, ?but he?s made his choice.  The Silver Snakes?re goin? to the Temple!? Josh and Emma can be seen shaking hands with Sean and Tabitha as Kirk walks over to the Green Monkeys. ?These guys gave it a great effort too.  Here?s what we?ve got for them.? Sean and Tabitha will each receive an Eastpak backpack.
Kirk stands behind the Silver Snakes at the tiebreaker pedestal. ?We?ll see if the Silver Snakes can make it through Olmec?s Temple and retrieve the Raccoon Cap? right after this!? The camera zooms out and pans up to view the spotlight-decorated ceiling, then fades to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone
« Reply #3 on: April 16, 2007, 04:33:20 PM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs with his hands on Josh and Emma's shoulders. "Welcome back to Legends," he says to the camera before turning around to talk to Olmec. "Olmec!" he shouts. "The Green? Silver Snakes broke the tie, and now have proven themselves worthy, and have earned the right to enter your Temple.  But before they go, can you give them any hints to help them retrieve the Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone?"
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
"You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Great Chasm.  Then, race into the Forbidden Fountain.  Place the correct bowl to tip the scales, and you could choose to go up into the Burial Pit, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Dungeon.
"Climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Dark Overlook, and correctly place all three torches to open the door to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, where you can grab the Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, and you could advance into the Laser Light Room.  Find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and swing on the rope back across the Great Chasm.  Then, pass through the Room of Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone." Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 1 ? Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am," Emma answers.
"Very well Emma," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Coonskin Cap.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and it'll be Josh's turn to enter and try his luck.  Hidden somewhere inside the Temple is the other half of your Pendant.  If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life.  If you can reach the Coonskin Cap, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how:"
?   For just making it into the Temple, they?re both going to get a camping package from Outdoor Products.
?   If they can grab the Coonskin Cap within three minutes, they?re also going to get matching $500 Toys ?R? Us gift cards.
?   And if they can get the Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone out of the Temple before 3 minutes is up, they?ll both be cruising to the Bahamas! A four-day cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line, with two pools, volleyball and basketball courts.  Norwegian Cruise Line.  It?s different out there.  A four-day cruise to the Bahamas, for a prize package totaling $14,872!

"All right, let?s get ?em on that cruise!" Kirk says, excited. "So Emma, maybe you could tell us your strategy, and how you think you're gonna get to the Coonskin Cap."
"Well," Emma begins, "We?re gonna go right across the top, and get in there to grab the Cap? and if that doesn?t work, we?ll just go across the bottom and? come up from under it."
"I hope it?ll work out for you," Kirk replies. "Put your mouthpieces in.  Let?s get Emma out in front.  Lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec moans as he lowers the gate.
"And let's set the clock? for three minutes.  On your mark, get set, GO!"

Emma races up the stairs of the Temple and runs up into the Room of Temple Gongs. ?There she goes!? Kirk shouts. ?Into the? the room where she?ll have to find the right one of those to open the door!? Emma starts with the furthest-right gong and slams it down, and it lights up blue.  Then she hits the second-rightmost one and it lights up silvery-white.  The door into the Great Chasm opens, and she goes through it with 2:41 left.  She leans out to grab the rope and swings across the gap, then hits the actuators there. ?She tried the Laser Light, that doesn?t open,? says Kirk, ?she tries the Burial Pit, that won?t open.  Looks like she?s goin? down into the Forbidden Fountain!? Emma jumps down into the gap and hits the actuator to open the door into the Forbidden Fountain. (2:25) She takes a bowl and places it on the scales, but it doesn?t open any doors.  She ends up trying three of the four bowls before anything opens, but then the door to the Junction of the Secret Shafts opens.  For some reason, Emma tries climbing up the ladder to reach the locked door in the ceiling, but then she goes through the open one to meet the first TEMPLE GUARD!
Emma shrieks, then hands her Pendant to the Temple Guard.  A little shaken, she jogs across the room to enter the Switch Inferno, and it?s the first door she tries that opens! [1:48] ?Just like that, she?s right under the Shrine of the Silver Monkey!? Kirk shouts as Emma frantically hits the actuators on the left wall. ?Josh?s cheering her on!? After hitting all eight actuators on the left wall, Emma hesitantly moves to the back wall and searches for actuators there, having to jump up to reach some.  The sixth actuator she hits on the back wall (located between the middle and stage-right golden doors) opens the stage-left golden door.  Emma then goes into the shaft behind the door, climbs up and enters the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. (1:13) She reaches up onto the camera-left shelf and grabs the COONSKIN CAP!
?There you go! All the doors are open!? Kirk shouts.  Emma looks around for a second, then runs into the Knights? Barracks.  She runs up the steps into the Laser Light Room, then runs down into the Great Chasm. (1:03) She reaches out for the rope, having a tough time grabbing it with only one hand, but she gets it after a few seconds and swings across.  She then runs into the Room of Temple Gongs, heads down the stairs and nearly tackles Josh to the ground out of excitement after she crosses the gate with 49 seconds left!
?They did it!? Kirk announces to the audience. ?With? 45 seconds left! Unbelievable!? He then turns to talk to Emma. ?Emma? that was amazing! How did you do that??
?I dunno, all the doors? opened, and, um, I? got to go right in there,? Emma replies.
?Well you did a great job,? Kirk replies. ?Josh didn?t even get to go into the Temple, but he did a great job too.  You both get the camping packages, the Toys ?R? Us cards? you?re goin? to the Bahamas!? Josh and Emma high-ten each other as Kirk is talking, then Emma hugs Kirk, still excited. ?We gotta get outta here.  I don?t wanna, but we gotta.  Join us next time for more adventure and another Legends of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? The camera zooms out, then fades to view the Junction of the Secret Shafts as the credits roll.

Temple Run Summary
Episode 21px]

Name of Artifact: The Coonskin Cap of Daniel Boone
Season: 2
Layout: 1 (5 overall)
Result: Made it!
Time Remaining: 0:49
Team: Silver Snakes
Pendants Won: 1.5
Location of Artifact: The Shrine of the Silver Monkey

There just weren't enough Season 1 episodes with an artifact in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey for an artifact to have been retrieved from there successfully.  The result here was a solid solo win, with a path resembling that from the original show's episode "The Ivory Hunting Horn of Roland," but Emma wasn't fast enough to record quite as remarkable a time as Yakerra did nearly twelve years before.  Nevertheless, Kirk's excitement throughout the episode made it fun to watch, and it was still nice to kick off Season 2 with a win.

Trivia and Records:
This was the first episode of The Rediscovery in which a victory was achieved with the artifact in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, and the first time that the Green Monkeys were pitted against the Silver Snakes in the Temple Games.
