So after creating a blog for the upcoming Retro Nick Shows, I posted a blog a couple of minutes ago that mentions Phantom's Temple to being nostalgic about Legends of the Hidden Temple and even the view of my past, even listening to a song on Youtube that I just can't stop listening to.

It's a long time overdue for a blog like this.

Check it out:

Comments would be nice, so do so.

The Jesters' Court / In Regards...
« on: June 14, 2010, 12:07:47 AM »
So I wanted to tell you guys...

33
So in the upcoming weeks, we will be doing our first podcast show and hopefully it will be published on iTunes. Now I'm also sure we can also post the podcast onto Youtube so that some of you guys can check it out as well. Now I am thinking of having the Youtube version private so I can get some of your feedback and maybe work our way up to put out on iTunes.

As of now, we haven't done any recording yet, but I do want to say beforehand that I will be giving some shoutouts to this forum; Phantomsden and himself for being one of my favorite, yet very small-knit forums about one of my favorite Nick shows, and Ed's Nicklegends for being the site that led me to this place and led me to this hot mess of a website.

« on: May 26, 2010, 09:07:38 PM »
Recently, I made my first online chat with someone on this board. I talked to the The Dark Enforcer a couple of days ago, but even so, Asian Legends Fan found me first, but I haven't spoken to him so far.

So if you wanna just chat on Skype or stuff, PM me or anyone who does have a Skype account.

The Moat / Is Music/Television Show Playing Here?
« on: May 21, 2010, 06:54:48 AM »
I think this is one of the strangest things to be found here so far, but right now, I can hear a television show going on my speakers, but no video at all.

So we all know that he was mentioned in one of the Legends episodes. Apparently, the family that holds Edmund's ashes will not scatter them at the top of Mt. Everest.

If there were to be an new Legends of some kind, this could be a nice artifact for the show.

The Treasure Room / We could do a Podcast about Legends
« on: April 07, 2010, 12:39:44 PM »
So I got the idea of having a podcast dedicated to the game show Legends or many more. I would love to do one someday with some of the other members on this forum, but what resources do we need to make a podcast? Well I pulled up some links on directions to start or create a podcast.

http://radio.about.com/od/podcastin1/a/aa030805a.htm

http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html

Another problem I'm having is that I don't want to be alone on this idea, but as what happened in the past, everyone here wants to do one cool thing (like getting an interview from a former GUTS contestant), but how are we gonna work together fairly to get it done?

So this is only a concept and I didn't want to contact the owner or mods, rather share this idea to all members and try to see what you think.

The Moat / terms.pdf?
« on: March 29, 2010, 11:17:39 PM »
So almost everytime I come here, a window pops up (I know it's not an internet pop-up), but a download for this file called 'terms.pdf'. I have previously downloaded the same file of the name and got a virus.

The Dark Forest / So how was your winter vacation?
« on: January 12, 2010, 01:57:49 AM »
Well as of now, I'm still on vacation and I'm in the Philippines as of the 12th of January at 7:51 P.M. I'm in the island of Palawan and I'm sweating here and I'm on my relative's laptop. I'm staying in my uncles place which is almost the size of a mansion. The crazy thing is that I have about 20 relatives living in the place. Almost 12 to 14 of them are my young cousins. I guess there's nothing else to do in the Philippines other than making babies. I won't be here a lot since I can only get to a computer where its morning at my house.

I'll tell more about my vacation later on or after I come back home.

The Dark Forest / Google Wave
« on: December 08, 2009, 06:39:34 PM »
So recently, I got an invitation to an open BETA version of Google Wave, a new web application where we can apparently chat live at anytime. I'm still not sure what it really does, but if anyone has heard of it and you would like an invitation, I'd be welcome to give you one. Just PM me your email address and I'll give you an invite if anyone wants to join.

The Jesters' Court / Movie Discussions
« on: November 29, 2009, 08:52:45 PM »
So why not open up one already?

Any good movies you've seen? Maybe a movie that "changed" your view on life (e.g. Donnie Darko, Kids, Chipmunks: The Movie)?

The Dark Forest / Ken Ober of MTV's Remote Control passes away
« on: November 16, 2009, 10:13:43 PM »
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1626376/20091116/story.jhtml

Now some of us who were not born during the 80s to watch MTV or were teenagers at that time, but he was known to host a game show that was not music on MTV, which was the beginning of the end of music airing on MTV.

It's kind of sad to see that even Legends of the Hidden Temple and many other game shows during our childhood were actually good programming before the execs at Nick somehow lost their edge, just like their mom company, MTV. We had shows that had depth and existentialism like no other. I worry about my young cousins watching Disney or Nick shows that seem to have no good face value. It's all hosh posh with all these shows today. I would love to have my cousins watch Pete & Pete or Legends, but whenever I get a glimpse of Disney's programming, it seems like I'm watching one show that must last for about 12 hours.

I can't stand about 90 percent of Nick, CN, or Disney's programming.

No, about 95 percent of their programming is almost unbearable. There are some that say that Spongebob is good, but it only gives a few good chuckles to some laughs, but that's about it with some of their segments.

The Temple Games / Ask A Stupid Question, Get A Stupid Answer
« on: October 03, 2009, 08:21:19 PM »
So the basic premise is to ask ANY question that might be stupid or anything random and the next person answers the question in a stupid, funny, intelligent (but considered stupid), or maybe in a cerebral way, for example:

-Why is Kirk Fogg considered a bad host?

--Because he's not clear on what he's saying.

The Dark Forest / Club Nintendo
« on: October 02, 2009, 11:27:43 AM »
So Nintendo of America has a website for people who purchase new Nintendo products can register their games for coins, in which members can use them for exclusive rewards. Every Wii game is 50 coins and DS is 30.

So far, I have collected many games and almost got to 700 coins and recently, they just released three new Legend of Zelda posters for 350 points.

The Moat / Ads, ads, and more ads
« on: October 01, 2009, 05:43:24 PM »
So I want to bring the attention to an ad if you've been getting it on top of the ad area. I've been getting an ad about a web game called "Envoy". When I joined this site, I've noticed the ad as any regular game being advertised as a strategy game which you can play forever. Over the course of time, I've noticed that the ad has been getting more "sexist" if you would call it.

Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about:

It just starts to go down to the next image. Now it may not be the size, but I'm giving you an idea of it.

I've also noticed that there has also been audio ads where some person announces that you just won a $1,000 gift certificate to some department store. I'm just tired of these types of ads popping up.
