The Heart Room / Temple Guards

I would be a little freaked out, but not to the point that I would just bolt out of the temple like the kid at the end of Henry VIII's Great Seal.

One more thing I just noticed after watching the first episode:  When the backrunner was exiting through the Gong Room, Kirk said he had to "Gong the gong".  2 things there: First, I think he meant to say ring the gong, and second, the kid didn't have to do anything because he had the ladder and all the doors were open, so he could just run out.  Based on those two factors, I hereby declare a Fogg-Up on that Temple Run.

2 exciting wins highlight today's Legends doubleheader.  As mentioned, the first episode sees one of the most hilarious Steps rounds in history, and in #2, we get to see one of the best Purple Parrots teams in the show's run.  Good stuff today.

EDIT: I just realized both items today were located in the Shrine.  Interesting

Today's episodes:

John Sutter and the Lost Map of the Gold Mine
The Silver Saddle Horn of Hannibal

The first ep is a classic, with more Fogg-Ups than most episodes combined, and another hilarious moment at the end of the Temple Run.  The second features a frustrating Temple Run where bad luck does the team in.

2 Season 1 eps, and two of the more frustrating Temple Runs on the show.  The first ep features one of the most pathetic backrunners the show saw, while the second half of the doubleheader sees the winners actually grabbing the artifact, but certain mistakes (including a Fogg-Up that caused the backrunner to make an unnecessary detour) prevent them from escaping.

Ahh... 2 goodies today: One of two episodes where part of the Monkey is dropped, and the legendary episode where the Temple Guard scares the crap outta the poor second runner. Two of the classic moments in Legends history.

Ah, the famous Moccasins of Geronimo ep.  One of the top 3 best solo Runs ever.

As for the Bent Shaving Pan, that team didn't really make any mistakes, they just encountered bad luck in the Room of the Ancient Warriors (encountering the Temple Guard just one room away from the shaving pan) and time was too short for the second player to do anything.

Heh, ironically, that Mysterious Manuscript episode we've been talking about is part of today's Nick GAS Legends doubleheader.

Another good Fogg quote comes from The Golden Jaguar of Atahualpa.  It came after the second temple game, where the teams had to slide down the chute as far as they could, and whoever had the longest distance at the end won.  The teams slid down so much that Kirk quipped, "By the looks of things, you look a bit soapy."

Not exactly a Fogg-up, but of the same ilk.

In the Mysterious Manuscript of Mary Shelley (thanks for the upload BTW), after Olmec's description of the third temple game, Kirk goes "Oh, I've played this game before. It's called Ring Around the Monster!"

Kirk musta felt like an idiot after that bomb.

LOL, reminds me of Wesley Eure's bad jokes when he hosted Finders Keepers, another classic Nick game show.

The Dead Man's Hand Steps of Knowledge:

Olmec: "Which of these men was a friend of Wild Bill and later fought a battle at Little Bighorn - General Grant, General Custer, or Colonel Sanders?"

Silver Snake: "Colonel Sanders!" (The KFC dude)

You can tell the Snake wanted to be anywhere but there at that point.

Jason from the Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradomas.  When his attempt to grab the Pit rope failed, he made the very smart move of using the Dog Leash to help him reach the rope.
