The camera returns from break to zoom out to show the entire Temple with the games in front as the pendant splits. Kirk is now standing in front of the Temple's steps with the teams at his sides. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s get to know our two tough teams."
"On the Green Monkeys, we have Chris: he plays second base in baseball and he wants to be an architect when he's older. And his partner here is Lauren; she loves to play ping-pong and she wants to be a pediatrician when she's older. Let's hear it for the Green Monkeys!" The brown-haired boy and the brunette girl with a braided ponytail tied by a crimson-red scrunchie applaud with the audience.
"And on the Purple Parrots, we have Robert: he plays track on his school team and his best event is the 70-yard dash. And his partner here is Samantha; she's a cheerleader at her school and her favorite subject is literature. Let's hear it for the Purple Parrots!" The blond boy and the freckled auburn girl with a braided ponytail tied by a blue scrunchie applaud with the audience.
?You guys ready to play?? asks Kirk.
?YEAH!? The players reply.
?Okay, so girls go get ready for the first Temple Game, guys go get ready for the second Temple Game,? Kirk says, pointing in different directions, and the players walk offscreen. "In the Temple Games, each team is competing to get?" he opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "Pendants of Life. They're gonna need those Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple. There are three Temple Games, and Olmec, tell us about Temple Game number 1."

Olmec begins:
"For pirates to get back and forth to the Caribbean, they had to take maps and an atlas to guide them while they were there. In this game, you will retrieve four portions of the New World atlas. When Kirk gives the signal, crawl to the first cube, grab the first part of the atlas, come back and put it in the proper place on the board. Then, go back to get the next piece of atlas. Along the way you must try to avoid the swinging obstacles. If you?re hit, you?ll have to go back and start again.?
?The first player to place all four parts on the board? or the player that?s correctly placed the most atlas parts in 60 seconds? wins.?
The camera fades to Kirk. ?Well this may be a quick collection of just one map," he says. ?Let?s get the sandbags back in position and start swinging them.? The spotters do just that. ?And now let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set, GO!?
Lauren and Samantha crawl out to the first cube immediately and neither girl gets hit. However, on the second attempt, Samantha is hit at the second cube, while Lauren successfully gets the second part with 42 seconds as Samantha restarts. On the fifth attempt for Samantha, she gets the second piece of map with 28 seconds left as Lauren goes back from being hit. On the sixth attempt for Lauren, she gets the third piece with 11 seconds left as Samantha has to return to the start. Ten seconds later, the clock explodes, indicating that time's up. "Okay," Kirk says. "Let's count 'em up. The Purple Parrots got one, two pieces of the atlas; and the Green Monkeys had one, two, three pieces of atlas! Green Monkeys win the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds briefly as Lauren high-fives Kirk. "The Purple Parrots can still catch up in the next game 'cause it's worth a half-pendant. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game number 2."

Olmec continues:
"Like any other pirate, Bluebeard would always keep all his gold and other valuable possessions in his castle. Here, you're going to store away some golden objects. You're now harnessed into a rotating lever and when Kirk gives the signal, run around to the pedestal, grab a gold artifact and come back around to place it in your bin."
"The first player with more gold artifacts at the end of 60 seconds wins."
"When I was a kid, I always used to keep my stuff stored away like this," Kirk says. ?And now let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set, GO!?
Chris and Robert run around and try to have enough momentum to get a gold piece, but only Robert does and drops it in his bin with 51 seconds. On the next two attempts for Chris, he's too low to get the gold until the 33 second mark where he grabs a piece and gets it in his bin. The boys each get some more gold artifacts at almost the same time until Chris fumbles to grab another piece and then the clock explodes to indicate time's up. "Okay, stop right there!" The spotters each stop the two players and bring over the baskets. "The Green Monkeys had-" he pulls out a necklace, small shield and what looks like an orb-"One, two, three golden artifacts; and the Purple Parrots have-" he pulls out a lighthouse, jeweled egg, tall calix and a scepter-"One, two, three, four gold artifacts! The Purple Parrots get the half pendant of life!" The audience applauds briefly. "It's tied up one half apiece. The third and final game's worth a full pendant and Olmec's gonna tell us about it."

Olmec narrates:
"While on his way through the Spanish Main, Bluebeard destroyed ships that were a part of the Spanish Caravels. In this game, you're going to sink three of the Caravel's galleons. One of you is suspended in a sack and when Kirk gives the signal, your partner will swing you towards one of the ships and sink it by knocking it down.
"The first team to knock down all 3 ships or whoever's further along at the end of 60 seconds wins!"
The camera transitions from Olmec to Kirk. "This is for the Temple," he comments. "Let's put 60 seconds on the clock," The clock appears onscreen at the bottom-right corner. "On your mark, get set, GO!"
Lauren and Samantha pull Chris and Robert back towards them and aim at the leftmost statues. On the first two swings, nobody knocks the ships down, but on the third attempt for the Purple Parrots, they get the middle one down with 46 seconds left and about 12 seconds later, the Green Monkeys knock down the rightmost one. On the next five swings, both teams miss, but with 9 seconds left, Green knocks down the leftmost one and 4 seconds later, Purple gets the rightmost one down and then time's up.
?That?s it! Time's up!" Kirk runs over as the spotters stop the sacks holding the boys and they stop swinging. "Both teams knocked down two ships, so it's a tie! They each get the full Pendant of Life!" The audience applauds for a moment. "It's now a Pendant and a half apiece, we go to the tiebreaker pedestal."

Two spotters roll in the tiebreaker pedestal, then walk off as the boys run over to it? joined by their female partners mere seconds later? and stand behind their respective gongs as directed by Kirk. "Okay, here's the tiebreaker rules. In a moment, Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you. You'll have three seconds to answer and I must accept your first response. If you're right, you and your partner will be going inside the Temple in search of The Map to Captain Bluebeard's Treasure. But if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other team a chance. All clear?"
The players nod in response.
"Olmec!" Kirk shouts. "What's the final question?"

Olmec asks:
"Which of these lakes is a present-day source for oil in the Americas: Lake Tanganyika, Lake Huron or Lake Maracaibo?"
Chris hits the gong first: "Lake Maracaibo."
There is a brief pause.
?That? is? correct.?
"The Green Monkeys are goin' into the Temple!" Kirk declares as Chris and Lauren high-ten and hug several times. Then he walks over to talk to the Purple Parrots. "Purple Parrots were a superb team all day from the Moat to the Temple Games. They aren't going away empty-handed 'cause here's what we have for them." Robert and Samantha will each be receiving a copy of Ice Age: The Meltdown on DVD.
The prize goes offscreen, and Kirk is now standing with the Green Monkeys. "Now we're gonna see if the Green Monkeys can make it through Olmec's Temple and retrieve the Map to Captain Bluebeard's Treasure right after the break!" The camera zooms out to show the whole Temple and then stops on the Treasure Map in the Dark Forest and then fades for commercial.

The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the Legend of the Map to Captain Bluebeard's Treasure. Teams, you have pay attention, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec starts to tell the legend:
"One of the most cunning, bold and meanest pirates of them all was Bluebeard, who lived during the mid-1600s. His original name was  Eduard de Barbe-Bleue and he lived in a castle on the island of St. Thomas and he was a ladies' man, charming many women who lived nearby. Once, while he was in the Spanish Main of South America, he captured a Spanish Caravel and obtained all the treasure, including a beautiful maiden by the name of Senorita Mercedes.
"Hey there, mi senorita! How'd you like to come to my castle?" he asked.
"Oh, mi amigo," Mercedes said. "I would love to go!"
"When they got back to the castle, Bluebeard kept her, beloved but inviolate, at his tower. Legend has it that while he was away, Mercedes discovered all of his treasures and love letters from other ladies. In an outrage, she let the whole town pillage all of his gold and jewels. The jealous girls, in return accused her of being a witch and threatened to burn her at the stake. But, she was saved at the last minute by Bluebeard's return.
"Bluebeard! You came back for me!"
"Anything for my little lady and my treasure!"
"As a returning gift, he gave her the map to his treasure and when they died, the map vanished for decades. Years later, it made its way to the Temple. Your task is to find the Map to Captain Bluebeard's Treasure and bring it here."

"Thanks a lot, Olmec!" Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So tell us, where is this Map to Bluebeard's Treasure?"
Olmec replies:
"The Map to Captain Bluebeard's Treasure can be found in the Daaaaark Forest." The camera zooms in on the Treasure Map on the second gold door behind the rightmost tree, then it fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple. Olmec, we're now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
"Which of these was Bluebeard's original name: William Kidd, Jack Sparrow or Edouard de Barbe-Bleue?"
The Silver Snake boy hits the marking first: "Edward da Barbie-Blue...?"
"Correct,? replies Olmec.
?Okay Silver Snakes, step down!? says Kirk. The Silver Snakes then move down one step. ?Next question, Olmec.?

Olmec asks:
"Did Bluebeard live in a castle on: Port Royal, St. Thomas or-"
A stomp by the Purple Parrot girl interrupts Olmec: "St. Thomas."
?That is correct,? Olmec replies, and the Purple Parrots go down a step.

Olmec asks:
"Did Bluebeard live in the: 1800s, 1500s or 1600s?"
The Green Monkey boy buzzes in first: "Uh....1600s...?"
"That is correct," Olmec replies as the Green Monkeys go down a step.
"It?s tied up on the second step,? Kirk narrates. ?Olmec, next question."

Olmec now asks:
"Which of these was the name of the maiden that loved Bluebeard: Mercedes, Alejandra or Vitoria?"
No one stomps down for a second, but the Green Monkey girl then stomps down: "Mercedes...?"
?That is correct,? Olmec replies, and the Green Monkeys move down another step.
?Just like that, the Green Monkeys are only one step away from Olmec?s Temple,? says Kirk. ?Olmec, next question.?

Olmec now asks:
"When Bluebeard was away, did Mercedes find all of his: silver and gold, diamonds and money or treasures and love letters?"
The Red Jaguar boy rings in: "All of his jewels...?"
?That is not one of our three choices,? replies Olmec. "The three choices are-"
As Olmec is about to reread the choices, the Silver Snake girl cuts him off: "His treasures and love letters from other girls in the town."
?That is correct,? says Olmec, and the Silver Snakes step down again.
?Silver Snakes are tied with the Green Monkeys and are one step away from the Temple Games,? Kirk narrates. ?Red Jaguars and Purple Parrots can still catch up. Next question, Olmec.?

"In which of these chains of seaports did Bluebeard meet Mercedes: the Irish Main, the Spanish Main or the British Main?"
After a second, the Green Monkey girl rings in: "The Spanish Main."
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, and the Green Monkeys get to move down to the bottom step.
?We?ve got our first team going to the Temple Games,? says Kirk, ?but who?s gonna join them: the Red Jaguars, the Purple Parrots or the Silver Snakes? Next question.?

Olmec now asks:
"When the girls of the town came to the castle did they accuse Mercedes of: Kidnapping, witchcraft or theft?"
The Red Jaguar boy hits the marking: "Witchcraft...?"
"That is correct," Olmec replies as the Red Jaguars move down a step. "This match is heating up," says Kirk. "Next question."

Olmec asks:
"Which of these was the penalty of being a witch: Beheading, poisoning or burning at the stake?"
The Purple Parrot boy buzzes in: "Uhh...burned at the stake?"
"That is correct,? says Olmec, and the Purple Parrots step down again.
?Purple Parrots are one step away from the Temple Games,? Kirk narrates. ?Red Jaguars can still catch up. Next question, Olmec.?

Olmec asks:
"Which of these was another famous pirate who was also a ladies man: Calico Jack, Long John Silver or Henry Morgan?"
The Red Jaguar girl stomps down and guesses: "Calico Jack...?"
"Incorrect," Olmec replies. Then the Purple Parrot girl gongs in: "Henry Morgan...?"
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, and the Purple Parrots can move down to the bottom step.

?We?ve got our two teams right here!? announces Kirk. ?The Green Monkeys and the Purple Parrots! Red Jaguars and the Silver Snakes gave it a great effort too. They're not going away empty-handed, we got a great gift for them, and here's what it is." Andrew, Nicole, Jeremy and Mandy will each be receiving a backpack provided by Eastpak.
Kirk is standing at the bottom of the Steps of Knowledge between the Green Monkeys and the Purple Parrots. ?These teams are gonna be playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?and they?re gonna do it right after this!?
The camera zooms in on the waterfall and then the pendant joins together to fade to commercial break.

The camera winds and twists its way through a lush jungle of many plants and then it ends at the base of an ancient Mayan temple. The giant stone head at the base of the temple starts to say:

"Legends of the Hidden Temple!" The pendant joins together and then zooms out to show the whole Temple. With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now!

Kirk comes right down the Temple stairs. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Thank you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lots of treasures that're protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards. Only Olmec knows about each of the treasures in his Temple. Which one are gonna hear about today?"

"The legend of the Map to Captain Bluebeard's Treasure," Olmec answers.

"Oh, the Map to Captain Bluebeard's Treasure!" Kirk says in response. "Well the legend is set, and one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Treasure Map. Will it be: -the camera pans to each team in order of introduction-
"The Red Jaguars," The short-haired boy and the dirty-blonde girl applaud.
"The Blue Barracudas," The tall boy and the equally tall black girl applaud.
"The Green Monkeys," The brown-haired boy and the brunette girl with a braided ponytail applaud.
"The Orange Iguanas," The short-haired boy and the dark-haired girl with glasses applaud.
"The Purple Parrots," The blond boy and the freckled, auburn girl with a braided ponytail applaud.
"or The Silver Snakes?" The somewhat tall boy and the curly-brown-haired girl with a ponytail applaud.

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "but in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple. First, they must cross the moat, and Olmec's gonna tell them how they have to do it today:
Olmec narrates: "Before you are two parallel bars that span the width of the Moat. Each team has four wooden planks. When Kirk gives the signal, one player from each team will take the planks and put them on the bars to build a bridge. You'll both crawl out onto the planks, and then the second player will grab the plank that's close to their back and hand it up, move on up, and keep going like that until you're both at the other side of the Moat. If either one of you falls or if you miss a plank, you'll both have to start over again. When both players get off the bridge on the other end of the Moat, run over and hit the gong." Kirk slams down on the Silver Snakes' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round."
"All right, let?s get started,? Kirk says. ?Hey teams, are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"I've been waiting and I'm so ready!" Olmec shouts as a response.
"All right," Kirk replies. "On your mark, get set, GO!"

The teams all take off at more or less the same rate. The Orange Iguanas and the Red Jaguars seem to have a lead over the others, but the Green Monkeys are right behind them, followed by the Blue Barracudas. The Red Jaguars keep their lead and they're first to hit their gong. A few seconds later, the Green Monkeys begin to pass up the Orange Iguanas and they lock in as the second team.
The Blue Barracuda girl almost falls through the planks, but quickly recovers. The Purple Parrots come out of nowhere and lock in as the third team. A second later, the Orange Iguanas drop their plank, but they pick it up and go a little more quicker. The Silver Snakes get much more faster on the home stretch, however. As the Moat's mist begins to slightly vanish and the Moat has only three-quarters of mist remaining, the Silver Snakes zoom past the Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas and they claim the fourth position.
"That?s it!" announces Kirk. "We?ve got our four teams! Silver Snakes blazed through the Moat in that last minute! They?re going on to the next round, and so are the Purple Parrots?" the camera moves to each of the teams as Kirk announces their team names? "and the Green Monkeys? and the Red Jaguars! The Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas gave it a great effort. They're not going away empty-handed, we've got a great gift for them for playing and here's what it is." Lee, Trynina, Tyler and Maureen will each be receiving a $50 Savings Bond provided by Nestle.

The Treasure Room / LOTHT Renewed EP: The Silver Thimble of Betsy Ross

Temple Run Summary
Episode 4: The Silver Thimble of Betsy Ross

Season: 1
Layout: 1
Result: Made it!
Time Remaining: 0:01
Team: Red Jaguars
Pendants Won: 1 1/2
Location of Artifact: The Room of the Ancient Warriors

If I could describe this Temple Run in 3 words, it would be amazing, groundbreaking and EPIC! The Red Jaguars of Derrick and Kristen were a spectacular team all the way, despite coming in second in the Moat and the Steps of Knowledge and turning it all around by winning a Pendant and a half in the Temple Games. these 4 people from the classic Legends have made a one-second victory: Olivia-Emma from the Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata, Tarrah from the Milk Bucket of Freydis, David from Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress and Jammin' Jon from Galileo's Cannonball. But, one more's been added to the list: Derrick from The Silver Thimble of Betsy Ross!

Kristen was a pretty smart player and she really knew what she was doing. She must've watched it on Nick GaS before, 'cause she knew what to do it all eight rooms she covered. She eventually made it all the way to the Room of the Secret Password, where she was taken out with 1:27 left. Derrick was just the same, but he was slightly slower than her but he still knew what he was doing. He made it all the way to the Room of the Secret Password in only thirty-five seconds and he completed both objectives of the next two rooms. In the Room of the Ancient Warriors, he grabbed the Thimble with thirty-plus seconds and escaped via the high road. This team deserved their trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Trivia and Records:
-This is the first time a one-second win has been recorded in Renewed's history.
-The hidden half-pendant's location was nowhere in sight, but it didn't affect the outcome of the Temple Run.
-This is the second episode where the players' names are mentioned, but the interviews are cut out.
-This was the first time overall that the Red Jaguars went to the Temple, and the second team victory achieved.[/img]

[the camera is on the left shelf in the Shrine and them it zooms out to show the Temple Games as the pendant splits]
>>Kirk: Welcome back to legends! Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest! So let's hear it for Derrick and Kristen of the Red Jaguars! And Kevin and Julia of the Green Monkeys! Okay, why don't you get ready for the temple games and I'm gonna tell ya what'll happen here. In the Temple Games, these teams will be competing to win Pendants of Life. The winning team will need the Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way Olmec?s Temple. There are 3 Temple Games, and Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #1.

>>Olmec: During the American Revolution, George washington and some of his men camped out at the harsh and snowy Valley Forge for one wniter. Now, you are trapped at the mountainous portion of Valley Forge and must escape! When Kirk gives the signal, take the backpack, throw it up to the next level, jump through the netting and grab the next backpacks until you make it to the top. When you're at the top, place the backpacks on the Freedom sign, which will mean you will have left Valley Forge! The first team to leave Valley Forge or the player who's further along in 60 seconds wins!
>>Kirk: Let's leave this snowstorm! Let's set 60 seconds on the clock. On your mark, get set, GO!!!!
[Kristen and Julia grab their backpacks, throw them up to the next level and then they launch themselves there, it happens again on the next level, on the last level, Kristen has problems jumping up to the final one, causing Julia to place her backpacks on Freedom with 22 seconds left]
>>Kirk: That's it! They did it! The Green Monkeys did it in only 38 seconds, so that lets them get the half pendant of life!
[the audience applauds]
>>Kirk: Dont' lose hope, Red Jaguars. You can still catch up in the next game 'cause it's worth a half and Olmec will now tell us about it.

>>Olmec: When Betsy Ross first made the flag, there were only 13 stars for the 13 original colonies. In this game, you must complete the American flag by getting the stars at each point. You are now in a giant wheel representing the carriage rode by important Americans, and when Kirk gives the signal, roll your carriage towards the last point, grab the first star and roll back to the start to place it on the flag. Then, roll to the first point and grab the second star and do it again. Then, roll to the middle point and get the third star for your flag. Do this four times to complete the flag and whoever finishes the American flag first wins!
>>Kirk: This is the most crazy way a flag's been made! Put 60 seconds on the clock. On your mark, get set, GO!!!!
[Derrick and Kevin roll their wheels to the last pedestal and Derrick is first to grab the first star, followed by Kevin 2 seconds later, both boys roll back to the first pedestal and grab the second star with 45 seconds left, but Derrick is remarkably faster on getting to the middle pedestal while Kevin has trouble rolling his wheel over the bumps and Derrick gets the third star with 26 seconds and then gets to the last one and grabs it with 10 seconds left as Kevin begins to catch up, the clock explodes on-screen, signaling that time's up]
>>Kirk: That's it! Let's count 'em up. Green Monkeys had one, two stars; Red Jaguars had one, two, three stars. The Red Jaguars get the half pendant of life!
[the audience applauds]
>>Kirk: It's now tied with a half-pendant apiece and whoever wins the final Temple Game goes to the Temple. Olmec, tell us about temple game #3!

>>Olmec: Throughout the American Revolution, the Americans worked very hard to take down the British and win independence. Now, you're about to take down some of the British soldiers and their generals. When Kirk gives the signal, the player on the ground will throw a boulder up to their partner, who'll catch it and fly towards the soldiers and drop it on one of the six soldiers. Then you'll do it again for as many times as possible. The first team that knocks down all six soldiers or the team that's further along in 60 seconds wins!
>>Kirk: It's a knockout to the British! Let's set 60 seconds on the clock. On your mark, get set, GO!!
[the girls on the bottom throw the first boulder to the boys who are suspended in the air and on the first attempt, only Red knocks down a soldier, on the second attempt, both teams knock down a soldier, on the next four attempts for Green, they miss, on the eighth attempt for Red, they knock down their fifth soldier with 18 seconds and as Green knocks down 2 soldiers simultaneously, Red knocks down the last soldier with 7 seconds left]
>>Kirk: That's it! We got a winner right here! The Red Jaguars knocked down all six as Green Monkeys only knocked down three soldiers; that gives the Red Jaguars the full pendant, so they have a Pendant and a half, Green Monkeys had a half, the Red Jaguars are going to the Temple!

The Treasure Room / LOTHT Renewed EP: The Silver Thimble of Betsy Ross
« on: April 02, 2010, 02:58:21 PM »
[The teams are all standing at the top of the Steps of Knowledge]
>>Kirk: As we continue our quest, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about this Silver Thimble of Betsy Ross. But teams, pay attention 'cause your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to the Temple.

>>Olmec: The most famous seamstress in the American Revolution was Betsy Griscom Ross. The maker of the original American flag, she was once a Quaker, until she married a non-Quaker and was banished from the group for life. In 1776, shortly after the American Revolution had begun, General George Washington asked her this: "Mrs. Ross, I'm so sorry to bother you, but how must we defend ourselves from those nasty Redcoats?" "I think you need to fight a little harder." "Yes, but we're gonna need a symbol to keep our patrioticity!" "Maybe I can do something..." pondered Betsy. In exactly 2 weeks, Betsy had sewn up a flag with stripes and 13 states to represent the colonies. "How'd you do that, m'lady?" "Oh, nothing, I owe it all to my lucky silver thimble." And for her work, the flag was renowned across the colonies, but her Thimble was soon forgotten. Your quest is to find the Silver Thimble of Betsy Ross and bring it back here!
[camera fades back to Kirk]
>>Kirk: Thanks, Olmec. So, tell us... Where's the Thimble?
>>Olmec: The Silver Thimble can be found in the Room of the Ancient Warriors!
[camera zooms in on the Thimble on the left pedestal in the Ancient Warriors, then fades back to Kirk]
>>Kirk: Okay, teams. You're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec's gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you'll move a step down. But if you're wrong or run outta time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The 1st 2 teams to make it to the bottom step will make it one step closer to olmec's Temple. Olmec, we're now ready for your 1st question.

>>Olmec: Which of these was Betsy Ross' jobs--
[the Green Monkey girl rings in and says "Seamstress"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Green Monkeys go down a step]
>>Kirk: Okay! They're doing good, Olmec, next question.
>>Olmec: Did she make the 1st flag during the Mexican Revolution, French Revolution or American Revolution?
[the Green Monkey girl rings in and says "American Revolution"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Green Monkeys move down a step]
>>Kirk: Now the Green Monkeys are a step away from the Temple games. Next question, Olmec!
>>Olmec: Who was the general who asked for the flag--
[the Green Monkey boy stomps in and yell "George Washington!"]
>>Olmec: That is coorrect!
[the Red Jaguars move down a step]
>>Kirk: We have our first team right here! They're the Green Monkeys! Now we need one more team: Is it gonna be the Silver Snakes, Orange Iguanas or Silver Snakes? Next question.
>>Olmec: Was Betsy originally a Shaker, Quaker--
[the Silver Snake girl rings in and yells "Quaker!"]
>>Olmec: That's correct!
[the Silver Snakes move a step down]
>>Kirk: Silver's coming up good! Red and Orange can still catch up. Next question, Olmec.
>>Olmec: Did General Washington cross the--
[the Red Jaguar boy rings in and yells "He crossed the Delaware River!"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Purple Parrots move a step down]
>>Kirk: Great job! Looks like there might be a comeback from Red! Olmec, next question.
>>Olmec: Which of these countries was the US battling against--
[the Red Jaguar girl rings in and yells "Britain!"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Red Jaguars move down a step]
>>Kirk: Now the Red Jaguars're just 1 step away from joining the Green Monkeys! Next question.
>>Olmec: Did the American Revolution happen in which of these centuries--
[the Orange Iguanas ring in and say "1700s"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Orange Iguanas move down a step]
>>Kirk: Orange team's right in this now! Silver still can catch up. Next question, Olmec.
>>Olmec: Which of these states was Betsy Ross born in: Missouri, Louisiana or Virginia?
[the Orange Iguanas ring in and say "Virginia"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Orange Iguanas move down a step]
>>Kirk: Orange and Red're just a step away from the Temple Games! Olmec, next question.
>>Olmec: Which of these oceans does the Delaware river flow into: the Indian, Pacific or Atlantic?
[the Silver Snake boy rings in and says "Pacific"]

[the Red Jaguar boy rings in and says "Atlantic Ocean"]
>>Olmec: That's correct!
[the Red Jaguars move to the last step]
>>Kirk: We have our 2 teams right here! They're the Red Jaguars and the Green Monkeys! The Orange Iguanas and the Silver Snakes gave it a great effort too. They're not going away empty-handed, here's what we have for them:
[Ben, Stephanie, Peter and Danielle will each be receiving SpongeBob: the Yellow Avenger on XBox 360.]

>>Olmec: Before you hang the remains of an ancient columnnade. When Kirk gives the signal, both of you must grab onto the first platform and swing to the next one. Then, continue your way across the Moat. If either of you falls, leaves one player on the previous platform, or if a knee touches the platform, you must both go back and start again. Temple Run Summary
Episode 3: The Dried-Out Pen of John Kennedy

Season: 1
Layout: 1
Result: Failed acquisition
Time Remaining: n/a
Team: Silver Snakes
Pendants Won: 1 1/2
Location of Artifact: The Shrine of the Silver Monkey

This temple run had a really difficult design. Jeremy was almost immediately caught by a temple Guard in the Ledges, but then tried to follow and beeline the direct path to the Pen before retreating to the Storeroom and completing the entire central shaft before being removed in the Tomb. Ashley followed his footsteps but did not have a prayer in just going to the Shrine-Forest passage to have a better chance of getting the Pen. Sadly, all of this cost them their trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Trivia and Records:
The Moat in this episode was finished in record time: 18 seconds; as well as the first episode where the players' named are mentioned, but they're not interviewed.

11
[the camera is on the 1st wall painting in the Court while the pendant splits]
>>Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! Ashley and Jeremy have proven themselves worthy and have earned the right to enter Olmec's Temple. But first, Olmec's gonna give them some information to help 'em retreive The Dried-Out Pen of John Kennedy.
>>Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeletons, and pass into the Pit of the Pendulum. Knock over the column, and climb into the King's Storeroom! Smash the clay pots to find the key, that will lead you into the Chamber?of the Sacred Markers. Match the symbols on the right, to those on the left, and pass into the Rooom? of the Ancient Warriors! Place yourself in the correct armor, and open the door to the SHRINE of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Room? of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription, and shout it out to open the door to the Pharaoh's Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Quicksand Bog, where you could smash through to the Dark Forest? but beware the Temple Guards that may inhabit the treeeeees! Find the key in the tree and you'll enter? the Jester's Court! Press yourself against the correct wall painting, and you'll gain entry to the Tomb of the
Headless Kiiiiiings! Pull the vines to release their bones, and attach the
missing skull to its proper king! Then, race through the pit, CLIMB through
the Ledges, rrrrrrace down the STAIRS and back through the Temple Gate! The choices are yours and yours ALONE! You won 2 pendants in the Temple Games. Who's going first?
>>Jeremy: I am!
>>Olmec: Very well, Jeremy! When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way toward the Dried-Out Pen. Hidden inside the Temple are Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Ashley's turn to enter and try her luck. Hidden somewhere in the Temple is the other 1/2 of your pendant, if you can find it, you'll get an extra life. If you can reach the Dried-Out Pen, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish. Return through the gates with the Dried-Out Pen in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how:
[for just getting into the Temple, they'll win a Polaroid digital camera that allows them to take 10-megapixel photos that can be printed and shared easily, all from Polaroid]
[If they grab the Pen within 3 minutes, they'll also win a DiamondBack mountain bike. The new DiamondBack Outlook & Lustre 1: These 21-speed mountain bikes can handle trails and pavement, all from DiamondBack]
[If they can bring the Pen out of the Temple before 3 minutes're up, they'll be going to Magic Mountain! They'll stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Valencia Six Flags, with an outdoor pool and spa. Plus, enjoy all the rides at Six Flags Magic Mountain!]
>>Kirk: The Silver Snakes have a good chance, I hope. Mouthpieces in. Olmec, lower your gate!
[Olmec hums and lowers his gate and then his lights go off.]
>>Kirk: Put 3 minutes on the clock. On your mark, get set, GO!!!
[Jeremy races into the Crypt, where he goes down to the Ledges, where he meets the 1st guard with 2:49; he climbs into the pit, knocks down the column and takes 30 seconds to climb into the King's Storeroom and heads into the Chamber and completes the objective and goes into the Tomb, where he is removed with 1:16 left, Ashley goes in and follows his path and completes the Court and Forest objective before running outta time in the Bog]
>>Kirk: She got caught in the Storeroom, but she made up great time and she was only 2 rooms away. They get the camera; I know they had a great time, so did I; we gotta get outta here, we'll see you next time for another Legend of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!
[the credit starts rolling, showing several panoramic shots of the Temple and is on the Shrine-Bog doorway where the 2006 Nickelodeon logo on the bottom part of the screen appears]
[shows Stone Stanley logo]
[Legends of the Hidden Temple was recorded in front of a live studio audience at Nickelodeon Studios in Universal Studios, Florida.]

12
[the camera is on the trampoline game equipment and then zooms out to show the contestants while the pendant logo splits]
>>Kirk: Welcome back to legends! Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest! So let's hear it for Kevin and Brianna of the Purple Parrots! And Jeremy and Ashley of the Silver Snakes!

>>Olmec: To sign the document about the Bay of Pigs Invasion, JFK had to sign it atop the White House! Now you must get the document up to the top of the White House. Before stand 3 levels of the White House and when Kirk gives the signal, launch yourselves to the netting, climb thru and collect the documents as you go. Then, do same for the next one until you get to the top. The 1st team to get their documents to the top or the one that's further along in 60 seconds wins!
>>Kirk: Looks like it's gonna be a climb up Capitol Hill here. Let's set 60 seconds on the clock. On your mark, get set, GO!!!!
[Brianna & Ashley jump and launch themselves using the trampolines to get thru the next level, they both get the 1st 2 documents and on the next one up, Brianna starts having trouble launching herself to the last level while Ashley gets to the final one and puts her bag on the pedestal at the top, ending the game with 28 seconds]
>>Kirk: That's it! Silver Snakes kept it quick and accurate all the way, while the Purple Parrots had more trouble. Ashley got to the top first, giving them a half pendant of life!
[the audience applauds]
>>Kirk: Don't worry, Purple Parrots. You can catch up in this next game 'cause it's worth a half-pendant. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.
>>Olmec: When the invasion occurred, the US troops had to scramble to get to Cuba as soon as possible. You are chained to a wall, and now you must get to Cuba. When Kirk gives the signal, maneuver yourselves along the wall until you reach the slot and you can pass thru. The first team to get to the slot marked Cuba, or the team that's further along wins.
>>Kirk: Looks like we're gonna sail, and I gotta say von boyage! Let's set 60 seconds on the clock.
[0:60 appears on the bottom-right hand corner of the screen]
>>Kirk: On your mark, get set, GO!!
[Kevin & Jeremy begin moving thru the maze and going thru the metal loops while being secured to a chain; Jeremy has trouble midway, giving Kevin an opening and ending the game with 13 seconds to go]
>>Kirk: Oh, goody! Kevin made it to Cuba first when jeremy screwed up, and that was solid. The Purple Parrots get a half Pendant of Life!
[the audience applauds]
>>Kirk: It's a 1/2 pendant apiece. We now go to the 3rd and final game, which is worth a full pendant. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game 3.
>>Olmec: When the Cubans got the invasion ready, the US Navy was required to double their ships as quick as possible. Now you will have to chance to double the ships. When Kirk gives the signal, the 1st player will throw a ring to their partner, who'll then catch it, fly to the ship and drop the ring there. They'll keep alternating like that for the minute. The 1st team with 6 rings on the ship or the team with more rings in 60 seconds wins!
>>Kirk: It's anybody's game and whoever wins goes to the Temple. Let's set 60 seconds on the clock. On your mark, get set, go!
[The girls begin throwing rings to the boys in the air, on the 1st 2 attempts, Purple misses and Silver gets 1, after 3 failed tries in exactly 51 seconds, the Snakes get their 2nd ring on their tower at the last second before the Parrots can]
>>Kirk: Okay, time's up! Purple had none, whereas Silver got 1... 2 rings; which gives 'em a full pendant, making it  1 1/2 pendants; Purple Parrots had a 1/2 and the Silver Snakes are goin' into the Temple!
[The Silver Snakes cheer and clap]
>>Kirk: Purple Parrots gave it a gallant effort as well. They're not going away empty-handed, here's what we got for them.
[Kevin & Brianna will be receiving back-to-school SpongeBob accesories]
>>Kirk: We'll see if the Purple Parrots can make it thru Olmec's Temple, and retreive that Dried-Out Pen of John Kennedy, and we're gonna figure it out right after this!
[the camera zooms in on the trees in the Dark Forest and then fades to commercial break]

13
[The teams are all standing at the top of the Steps of Knowledge]
>>Kirk: As we continue our quest, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about this Golden Necklace of Acamapichtli. But teams, pay attention 'cause your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to the Temple.

>>Olmec: One of the most famous and legendary presidents was John Fitzgerald Kennedy. A former Navy officer who fought in World War II against the Japanese, the nation declared him a hero. Legend has it that after winning the 1960 election, a rebellion known as the Bay of Pigs invasion erupted. A group of Cuban exiles plotted to get the US Government's support to overthrow Fidel Castro, the dictator of Cuba. When John heard about this plan, he instantly was distraught: "What am I gonna do? Those Cubans'll be sure to take us out after they defeat Castro!" He sadly was right. They did overthrow poor Castro. It was so embarrassing that it shook the Administration, so political leader Che Guevara decided to send John a note pledging him to take action on the Cubans. But as he was writing his signature, his pen dried out. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, another conflict between the US and Cuba erupted and JFK was assassinated afterwards. The dried-out pen, however, found its way to the Temple! Your job is to find the Dried-Out Pen and bring it back here!
[camera fades back to Kirk]
>>Kirk: Thanks, Olmec. So, tell us... Where's the Dried-Out Pen?
>>Olmec: The Dried-Out Pen can be found in the SHRIIIINE of the Silver Monkey!
[camera zooms in on the Pen on the 3rd shelf, then fades back to Kirk]
>>Kirk: Okay, teams. You're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec's gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you'll move a step down. But if you're wrong or run outta time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The 1st 2 teams to make it to the bottom step will make it one step closer to olmec's Temple. Olmec, we're now ready for your 1st question.

>>Olmec: Was Kennedy president of--
[the Purple Parrot boy rings in and yells "United States!"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Purple Parrots go down a step]
>>Kirk: Okay! They're doing good, Olmec, next question.
>>Olmec: Did Kennedy win the 1952 election, the 1948 election or the 1960 election?
[the Silver Snake girl rings in and says "1960 election"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Silver Snakes move down a step]
>>Kirk: Alright! We got a game goin'. Next question, Olmec.
>>Olmec: Was the name of the Cuban dictator
[the Red Jaguars stomp in and yell "Fidel Castro!"]
>>Olmec: That is coorrect!
[the Red Jaguars move down a step]
>>Kirk: We have a really smart group here! Next question.
>>Olmec: Was the JFK born in which of these states: Texas, Illinois or Massachusetts?
[the Blue Barracuda girl rings in and yells "Massachusetts!"]
>>Olmec: That's correct!
[the Orange Iguanas move a step down]
>>Kirk: Everybody's on the board! Next question, Olmec.
>>Olmec: Did run office from
[the Purple Parrot boy rings in and yells "1961 to 1963!"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Purple Parrots move a step down]
>>Kirk: Great job! Now, Purple Parrots are just 1 step away from the Temple Games. It's now anybody's game, next question.
>>Olmec: Which of these countries was involved in--
[the Silver Snake girl rings in and yells "Cuba!"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Silver Snakes move to the last step]
>>Kirk: We have our 1st team goin' to the Temple Games! It's the Silver Snakes! Now we need 1 more team, who's it gonna be: The Purple Parrots, the Blue Barracudas or the Red Jaguars? Next question.
>>Olmec: Is the current capital of Cuba: Lima, Caracas or Havana?
[the Purple Parrots ring in and say "Havana"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Purple Parrots move to the last step]
>>Kirk: We have our 2 teams right here! They're the Silver Snakes and the Purple Parrots! The Red Jaguars and the Blue Barracudas gave it a great effort too. They're not going away empty-handed, here's what we have for them:
[JR, Jenah, Christian and Mia will each be receiving SpongeBob: The Complete 3rd Season on DVD.]
