The Treasure Room / The broken sword of King Arthur
« on: October 04, 2007, 02:16:17 PM »
After a REALLY long wait of over a year, I finally get around to continuing this.  Hopefully i won't do that again, and I'll make a goal of getting this all up by the end of the year.

"Okay, you're now standing on the steps of knowledge," Kirk said.  "In a moment, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, step on the ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you'll move on to the next level.  If you're wrong, or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance."

He steeped back and told Olmec that they were ready for his first question.

"What is the name of King Arthur's wizard?" Olmec started.  "Merlock, Merlin, or Copperfield."

The Blue Barracudas rang in with Merlin and moved down.

"Who was the knight that King Arthur faced in our legend?  Sir Lancelot, Sir..." Olmec said, before being stopped by the Orange Iguanas.

"Sir Lancelot!"  the girl on the team said, and they moved down to join the Blue Barracudas.

"Who gave Arthur Excaluber?  Merlin, Lancelot, or the Lady of the Lake" Olmec asked, and the Orange iguanas answered with the Lady of the Lake, moving one step away from the temple games.

"Which country was King Arthur supposively a king of?  France, Great Bruitain, or the United Kingdom."

The Blue Barracudas guess France but get it wrong.  The Green Monkeys get it right with Great Britain and move down.

"How did Arthur get his first sword?  It was given to him, he found it, or he pulled it out of a stone."

The Orange Iguanas came in with the right answer with "pulled it out of a Stone" and moved on to the Temple games.

"The Orange Iguanas have made it to the Temple games." Kirk proclamed.  "We still need one more team.  Who's it going to be?"

"Where was the stone that his first sword was located?  The center of town, in the..." Olmec started, before the Blue Barracudas answered with "The center of town"

The Blue barracudas got their final question right, and joined the Orange Iguanas at the bottom.

"We got our two teams.  It's the Orange Iguanas, and the Blue Barracudas.  The Silver Snakes and the Green Monkeys gave it a great effort too.  We got a great gift for them, and here's what it is." Kirk said

*They get two Akklaim video games*

Next:The Temple Games.

That's fine.  I can wait for season 5.  And the reason it's story like is that's the way I'm used to writing, since I write a lot of fan fiction for other fandoms

At the word GO, all the players stepped onto the board and started to balance their way across.  The Blue Barracudas had a misstep and fell in, but the others made it across fine.

As the second players started, the Barracuda player hurried to make up for lost time, and was able to (barely) make it across. Just as the Green Monkeys finished up and rang in 1st.

The second player on the Purple Parrots and Red Jaquars also fell, as the Silver Snakes and Orange Iguanas rang in 2nd and third.   Before the Jaquars and Parrets could get back to try again, the Barracudas got across and rang in 4th.

"Okay, that's it, that's it." Kirk yelled.  "Man, Green Monkeys, you just blazed across.  Going on to the steps of knoledge are the Green Monkeys.  And the Blue Barracudas.  The Orange Iguanas.  And the Silver Snakes.  The Jaguars and the Parrots gave it a good effort.  We have a great gift for them, and here's what it is."

*They get Kooshlings*

"As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the broken sword.  But pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can brinhg you a step closer to Olmecs temple," Kirk said

The greatest king of Camelot was King Arthur.  Legend said that whoever could pull a sword from a stone in the middle of the town square would one day rule the land.  Arthur was able to do it as a young lad.

Some time later in life, he was riding on his horse.  he was challenged to a duel by a knight named Lancelot, who in the future would become one of the knights of his famous round table.  Not one to turn down a challenge, he accepted.  He lost the duel when his old sword broke.

"You will pay for that, Lancelot," Arthur vowed.

He went back to the wizard Merlin, to see if he could do something.

"I can do nothing about this sword," Merlin said.  "So we need to get you a new one.  And I can get you the best sword in the land, owned by the Lady of the Lake."

"Hope she's pretty," Arthur said

Merlin led Arthur to a lake, where a beautiful lady stood in the middle.  Next to her, held by a hand, was the sword Excaluber.

Arthurs old sword was cast aside, and found by a phesant.  It soon found it's way to the temple.

Your quest is to retrive the broken sword of King Arthur and bring it back here.

"Thank you, Olmec," Kirk said.  "Tell us, where is the broken sword?" Kirk asked.

"The Broken Sword of King Arthur can be found in the tomb of the Headless Kings," Olmec answered.

"I wonder whether one of those kings is King Arthur," Kirk remarked

In the next segment:The steps of knowledge

"Legends of the Hidden Temple!" Olmec yelled, as the croud cheered.  "With your guide, Kirk Fogg.  And here he is now!"

Kirk swong in on a rope, dropping down in front of the steps of knowledge, and steps up them.

"Thank you, Nice to see you.  Nice to see you, Olmec," Kirk said.  "Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards.  Only Olmec Knows the legend behind each of the traeasures of his temple.  Which one are we going to hear about today?"

"The legend of the broken sword of King Arthur,' Olmec said.

"Oh, the broken sword of King Arthur.  Well, the legend is set, and one of these 6 teams are going to retrive the broken sword.  Well it be...the Red Jaquars..."

They cheer and pump a fist.

"...the Blue Barracudas..."

They have both fists in the air.

"...the Green Monkeys..."

Each of them had one finger in front of the camera.

"...the Purple Parrots..."

One brings a fist up, and the other holds her finger out.

"...the Orange Iguanas..."

They imitate the Blue Barracudas.

"...or the Silver Snakes."

They also pump a fist.

"They'll have to pass some pretty tough physical and mental tasks, and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's temple.  But first, they have to cross the moat, and Olmec will tell us how they'll have to do it today," Kirk said, turning towards Olmec.

"Before you is a board that streches across the moat.  When Kirk gives the signal, one of you steps onto the board and walk across it to the other side.  If you fall off, or if a knee touches the board, you must go back, and start again.  Once you're across, it'll be your partners turn to cross.  Once both of you are across, run over and hit the gong..."

Kirk hits the silver gong

"The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round." Olmec finished

"Alright, teams, are you ready?"Kirk yells.

They all yell out their conformation.

"Olmec, are you ready?" Kirk asks

"Let's rock." Olmec says.

"Okay, on your mark, get set, GO!" Kirk yells.

In the next part, we'll have the moat crossing, and hear of the legend

There could be a door in the back.  most rooms have doors like that.

Anyways, i sometimews see temple guards gesture to the contestant, like he's saying "Give me that pendant."

Okay, we all know that the artifacts are places in seemingly random places (except for the pit, ledges, and crypt).  But are there any you can think of that were put in a room that seemed to fit?

The heart shaped pillow, for example, was placed in Medusa's Lair.  But the thing is, Medusas Lair usded to be the Heart Room.
