Title: Olmec's woman voiceover
Post by: op12 on January 26, 2007, 11:46:41 AM
Does anyone remember which episode it was where Olmec was doing a woman/girl's voice? It was one of the funniest moments in the show, and I don't know which one it is in.

Thanks!

First, welcome to the forums! I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here.

Dee Baker did a lot of woman impressions throughout the three seasons of the show... And ironically, I can't remember them well enough to name an example. But they're out there.

Uhm... any episode with a woman in the Legend would have Olmex doing a woman's voice... Take your pick.

He did a really poor impression of Apanupec's wife in The Mussell Shell Armor episode. I know he also played Grandy Nanny (which I felt was a really good impression). The other female voice that comes to mind is Dolley Madison, but I'm not 100% sure that Dee Baker played her or not.

You knew Apanupec's wife to make such a judgment?

I forget, did he also play the voice of Little John in her respective episode?

...I thought he played all the voices... Most of'em were the same anyways.

Olmec (Dee Baker) Did every voice. not a single one was by someone else. Which when you think about it makes the most sense

Well I know that, but I mean which characters in the legends spoke? There were some legends where Olmec simply narrated and did not voice any character, such as The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte.  I was asking whether or not The Lost Lion Tail of Little John fell into that same category.

Every season 2 & 3 episode has a character speaking in the legend.

Maybe not, but to help cut the profile down I'll take out one from each category and remove some of the spaces.

Anyway, back on topic.  I remember he had to voice Ben Franklin's wife in that episode.  So we got Cleopatra, Bilqis, Empress Theodora, Granny Nanny, Apanuupak's wife, Deborah Franklin, Little John, Belle Starr, and Annie Taylor (hopefully in chronological order here.) What else?
