Title: Best Episode by Room - Day 26: Heart Room
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 31, 2014, 02:28:47 AM
I just thought of a neat idea for another poll. We have determined the best episodes different ways by teams, production days, etc. I thought it would be neat to determine the best episode by individual room? Basically, you vote for the best episode you think is associated each room. Each poll will be dedicated to a room that held multiple artifacts. Rooms with only one artifact (Well, Laser Light Room, etc.) will not be part of this poll. ;)

So let's start off with the Observatory (Sundial)!

Previous Results:
Observatory (Sundial) - "The Star of Sultan Saladin" (5 votes)
King's Storeroom (Season 2) - "The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe" (4 votes)
Shrine of the Silver Monkey (Season 1) - "The Collar of Davy Crockett" (4 votes)
Viper's Nest - "The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata" (4 votes)
Dungeon - "The Lost Logbooks of Magellan" (4 votes)
Dark Forest - "The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King" (4 votes), "The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain" (1 vote)
Spider's Lair - "The Pendant of Kamehameha" (4 votes)
King's Storeroom (Season 3) - "The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible" (4 votes)
Room of the Ancient Warriors - "The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great" (5 votes)
Shrine of the Silver Monkey (Season 3) - "The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen" (4 votes)
Pirate's Cove - "The Helmet of Genghis Khan" (5 votes)
Mine Shaft - "The Lucky Medallion of Atocha" (5 votes)
Tomb of the Ancient Kings - "John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine" (5 votes)
Tomb of the Headless Kings - "The Good-Luck Watch of Empress Eugenie" (4 votes)
Quicksand Bog - "The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain" (3 votes), "The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta" (1 vote)
Medusa's Lair - "The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor" (4 votes)
Holes of Python - "Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress" (5 votes)
Throne Room - "The Electrified Key of Benjamin Franklin" (4 votes)
Observatory (Stone Column) - "The Milk Bucket of Freydis" (4 votes)
Room of the Secret Password - "The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus" (4 votes)
Chamber of the Sacred Markers - "The Mussel-Shell Armor of Apanuugpak" (5 votes)

Featured Episodes:
The Star of Sultan Saladin
The Oracle Bowl of Delphi
The Belly Button of Buddha
Alexander and the Gordian Knot

I voted for Sultan Saladin as the best episode that came out of this room. ;) It was easily the only episode I really like, and the episode is also very fun. :mrsilver:  So this is an easy vote for me. Buddha was an average episode, but I don't think highly of it. And Gordian Knot and Oracle Bowl were average and boring.

Star of Sultan Saladin, same reasons.

Star of SS easily.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day One: Observatory (Sundial)

And Sultan Saladin wins the best Observatory (Sundial) episode.  :mrsilver:

Next up is the Season 2 King's Storeroom. I am not going to cover the rooms in order either. So I will be jumping around a lot. ;)

Here are the episodes in the Season 2 King's Storeroom:

The Bone Necklace of the Blackfeet Chief
The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe
The Jeweled Necklace of Montezuma
The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon

I voted for Enormous Iron Nose Ring as the best episode from this room. It was a fun episode all the way through, and Joel's dominance made it memorable and fun to watch. ;) The temple run can be overrated at times, but Joel was still a good contestant and better than most other ones.

I like the other episodes too, but Nose Ring is the best of the bunch. All the other ones should've honestly been wins too. Probably one of the very few rooms that featured actual decent episodes.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day One: Observatory (Sundial)

Nose Ring, easily. The rest were nothing special.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Two: The King's Storeroom

Oh yeah, and I fixed the OP. Since we are now covering the King's Storeroom. ;)

Iron Nose Ring for sure!
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Two: The King's Storeroom
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 02, 2014, 04:42:08 PM
And we can move onto our next room! Enormous Iron Nose Ring wins the best episode for the King's Storeroom (Season 2).  :mrsilver:

Next up is the Shrine of the Silver Monkey (Season 1). I am going to cover the Shrine separately for each season since there were a lot of artifacts in that room. ;)

Featured episodes:
The Golden Cup of Belshazzar
The Golden Chains of Zenobia
The Silver Saddle Horn of Hannibal
Robin Hood and Marian's Ladder
The Collar of Davy Crockett
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Three: Shine of the Silver Monkey (Season 1)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 02, 2014, 04:45:37 PM
None of these episodes were special at all. I voted for "Davy Crockett" though because it becomes the closest to being likable. It was competitive and interesting all the way through, and the win is much better than "Robin Hood's" win. Although none of these episodes were remarkable in anyway.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Three: Shine of the Silver Monkey (Season 1)
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 03, 2014, 03:20:41 PM
Also voted for Davy Crockett. But like Stone Marker said, none of these episodes were special at all.

Davy Crockett wins the best episode in this room space. ;)

Next up is the Viper's Nest. Featured episodes:
The Silver Horseshoe of Butch Cassidy
The Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Appleseed
The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 04, 2014, 11:21:49 PM
I voted for Emiliano Zapata as the best episode. What a fun episode all the way through featuring one of the best teams of Season 2. I love this episode and one of my all time favorites on the show. It was a classic episode for sure!  I like Mush Pot Hat too and think it is an underrated gem. But Zapata wins this one though.  ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest

Applewood Amulet, easily. It was an excellent episode and it does NOT deserve any of the criticism it gets.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 05, 2014, 01:32:54 AM
Seriously, how can anyone say Applewood Amulet is a bad run just because Olivia Emma and Robert get an easy path? It's not like they chose their path, it's not like they asked the producers to make things easy just to inconvenience the audience at home. Robert and Olivia Emma were very fast players, and knew what to do in every room, and never got turned around once. So what if they didn't find the half pendant? That's just being nitpicky. And even if they had lost, guess what? I would still think highly of this run. Sorry to rant, but it just bugs me that it's been considered a bad, undeserved win in the past because heaven forbid they get an easy path. Olivia Emma and Robert were a great team, and they deserved to win.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: AimYourBrent on September 05, 2014, 07:26:22 PM
There are exactly ZERO bad things to say about Applewood Amulet.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 05, 2014, 08:32:09 PM
Exactly. As far as I'm concerned, it was just as flawless as the likes of Atocha AND Lucky Pillow, both filmed the same day. Easy path be damned.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 05, 2014, 08:41:39 PM
People like to pick on runs like Applewood Amulet and Galileo because a lot of people praise them while no one recognizes their precious Geronimo or Butch Cassidy. I know people have different opinions and I don't expect them to like these runs at all. But when they nitpick about everything like comparing Olivia-Emma to Christina from Nathan Hale just because she passed the half-pendant is going way over the top. Was she lucky? Sure, but her run did not end in triple capture. I am sure we would criticize her like we do for runs like Nathan Hale or Priceless Portrait where the contestants pass up the obvious half-pendant. And every temple run had some lucky moment in them, even the likes of Apanuugpak and Pirate Captain.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 05, 2014, 08:44:48 PM
Yeah, people just don't like the likes of Applewood Amulet and Galileo just because we don't give other mediocre, undeserved runs praise. It's just this whole "let's bring other runs down just to make our favorites look better" mentality. If it wasn't for that, then I would've had a MUCH easier time taking them all seriously.

And by the way, Kristen from Priceless Portrait actually DID pick up her half pendant. She didn't pass anything up at all.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 05, 2014, 08:50:00 PM
Not only that, but some people argue that if one contestant does something that means its comparable to another contestant. For example, they feel that Olivia-Emma should get criticized like Christina from Nathan Hale for passing up her obvious half-pendant. Or that Joel can't be praised because he made the same mistake as Ron. Contestants like Ron and Christina have no redeeming value because they were the runs that screwed up their runs. Olivia-Emma and Joel won their runs because they had some redeeming qualities about them and proved them. So I refuse to argue with people that compare these players to obviously inferior ones.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 05, 2014, 08:53:33 PM
Yeah, and people give Olivia Emma a hard time because her layout was so "easy." Yet Paula gets nothing but praise for getting a cupcake layout. And honestly, Olivia Emma's layout really wasn't that easy, AT ALL. She ran into the hardest rooms Season 2 had to offer at the time. So obviously, it's gonna take some time to finish those rooms. You can't expect a team to get a hard layout and then win with over a minute to spare, ala Benzibab. It doesn't work that way. Even if she had Nostradamus' layout, I bet they still would've won. So the haters don't know the HELL they are talking about.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Four: Viper's Nest
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 05, 2014, 10:34:31 PM
That's another thing that people like to argue is about temple layouts. They think just because Applewood Amulet's win was very close it means that Olivia-Emma and Robert will lose in every other layout. They will definitely win in a layout like Levitating Dog Leash or even Golden Pepperoni. I'd like to think that teams will adjust accordingly to their layout. And like you mentioned, not every win has to be with the same amount of time as Benzibab. And honestly, that temple win was way too simple. Kevin and Annie were a fast team, but the bottom floor of Season 3 was way too simple. Same with Butch Cassidy and Paula's win. She finished with a lot of time because the bottom floor was much easier than the top floor.

And Emiliano Zapata wins the best Viper's Nest episode!

Next up is the Dungeon. Featured episodes:
Blackbeard's Treasure Map
The Keys to the Alhambra
The Lost Logbooks of Magellan
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Five: Dungeon
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 06, 2014, 11:37:55 AM
Man, I hate all of these episodes. They were among the worst featured on the first season. I voted for Lost Logbooks because it was the lesser of the three evils. Although Jessica sucked balls in the temple and I hate this run like the other ones. It is only fitting that a crappy room has crappy episodes associated with it.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Five: Dungeon
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 06, 2014, 03:57:50 PM
Wow, I hate ALL the episodes. But I'll go with Magellan. It's best of the worst, and it's more forgettable than it is bad.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Five: Dungeon

Wow!! What a dump truck of episodes!! Went with Lost Logbooks. And this is officially the ONLY poll this episode will ever win.

Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Five: Dungeon

Lost Logbooks wins the best Dungeon episode.

Next up is the Dark Forest:

The Lost Love Letter of Captain John Smith
The Sacred Ring of Sultan Suleiman
The Missing Weather Maps of Charles Lindbergh
The Upside-Down Compass of Henry Hudson
The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain
The Mysterious Manuscript of Mary Shelley
The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Six: Dark Forest
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 07, 2014, 03:48:33 PM
I went with Mummified Hand as the best episode. Wow, look at this episode list. There were four triple captures on this list alone. I chose Mummified Hand though because I felt the temple run is the strongest of the others on that list. Either that run or Useless Map. But I felt Maggie and Josh's performance was strong despite the mistake Josh made of taking a different path. But really, all of these episodes were disappointing.  :o
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Six: Dark Forest
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 07, 2014, 03:50:21 PM
I also went with Mummified Hand. Like Stone Marker said, it's the strongest episode out of the above list.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Six: Dark Forest

Mummified Hand gets most of the votes for this room, while Useless Map gets 1. ;)

Next up is the Spider's Lair with only two episodes:

The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan
The Pendant of Kamehameha
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Seven: Spider's Lair
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 10, 2014, 02:04:12 AM
I went with Kamehameha. This was an exciting episode and one of the best losses of Season 1. One of my all time favorite losses even if it ended in triple capture.  :mrsilver:

And another reason I voted for Kamehameha because I would never vote for... Golden Cricket Cage.   :x
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Seven: Spider's Lair

Kamehameha. For obvious reasons.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Seven: Spider's Lair
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 13, 2014, 12:43:11 AM
And Kamehameha wins this room space with 4 votes.  :mrsilver: No one will ever vote for you, Cricket Cage. ;)

Next up is the King's Storeroom (Season 3)!

The Bent Shaving Pan of Jedediah Smith
The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible
The Enormous Feather of the Me Linh
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Eight: King's Storeroom (Season 3)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 13, 2014, 12:47:54 AM
I voted for Bent Shaving Pan as the best episode. One of the strongest losses on the show. Irish moves slower than most Season 3 girls through the temple and gets lost in every single room. And Brian, despite having over 30 seconds, doesn't make it past the bottom floor. Such a talented team that got shafted by a brutal and cheap temple guard. :afro:

Just kidding. :P I voted for Ivan the Terrible. This was the best loss on the show and featured one of the best teams ever. I can't see how anyone can't defend Travis and Elisa after this layout. I love this temple run and it even ranks higher than most wins. If they had Bent Shaving Pan's layout, it would've been like Roland for them. I think I actually like Enormous Feather more than Shaving Pan.  :afro:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Eight: King's Storeroom (Season 3)
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 13, 2014, 12:50:30 AM
Ahahahaha, nice fake out.

And I also voted for Discarded Seal, for same reasons. The other two runs is one team I'll never feel sorry for (Bent Shaving Pan), and another is a team that did NOT deserve to go to the temple (Enormous Feather). I think I might actually like Enormous Feather better than Bent Shaving Pan. So you're not the only one who feels that way. At least Karisa grabbed her artifact.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Eight: King's Storeroom (Season 3)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 13, 2014, 01:10:14 AM
I am one of the few people that hated Bent Shaving Pan since day one. I mean it took Irish 2:30 to make it to the Room of the Ancient Warriors. And Brian was a piss poor excuse for a second runner. Nothing redeemable about this temple run at all. It is just as crappy as Xerxes and Mt. Kilimanjaro from the same day. I like Enormous Feather more, and that run boils my blood too.  :o
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Eight: King's Storeroom (Season 3)
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 13, 2014, 01:19:19 AM
I never really thought anything of Bent Shaving Pan, until it got undeserved praise. And for no reason. It just came completely out of the blue. But I really, really hate it now. It's one of those episodes I usually skip over while re watching episodes. When even Enormous Feather is a better run in comparison, you know you're screwed.

Discarded Seal wins the best episode for the King's Storeroom.

Next up is the Room of the Ancient Warriors. Featured episodes:

The Snow Cone of Mt. Kilimanjaro
The Dried Apple Half of William Tell
The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd
The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza
The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Nine: Room of the Ancient Warriors
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 14, 2014, 11:27:24 PM
I voted for Jewel-Encrusted Egg as the best episode! This was a special episode that ended our favorite show with a blast!  :mrred: The producers went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. Sforza was a great episode too, but I love Jewel-Encrusted Egg's win a little better. Belle Boyd is a good episode that is underrated.

Go away Snow Cone, you do not belong in the presence of these amazing episodes.

Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Nine: Room of the Ancient Warriors

I always thought it was weird they put two artifacts in the same room for the same production day. They didn't do that in any other days for the entire season. I guess they wanted to create gimmicky layouts.  :?:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Nine: Room of the Ancient Warriors
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 14, 2014, 11:34:20 PM
Galileo's Cannonball and Dead Man's Hand were both in the Mine Shaft. But then again, it was the first production day. Also, the Pearl Necklace and Melted Head were both in the Quicksand Bog, filmed back to back. Even though they were both on different production days.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Nine: Room of the Ancient Warriors
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 14, 2014, 11:38:48 PM
I forgot about Galileo and Dead Man's Hand. Also, Anne Bonny and Snake Bracelet were both in the Torch Room and back-to-back. I was wrong, it happened more than once.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day Nine: Room of the Ancient Warriors
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 14, 2014, 11:40:20 PM
Only different was Snake Bracelet = win. Anne Bonny = loss. But of course, this is about Catherine the Great here. Whatever, we all know it's going to win. Since I doubt anyone will vote for Sforza.

Catherine the Great wins this room space!  :mrred:

Next up is the Season 3 Shrine of the Silver Monkey. ;)

The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack
The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen
The Ivory Hunting Horn of Roland
The Broken Trident of Poseidon
The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 10: Shrine of the Silver Monkey (Season 3)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 16, 2014, 11:37:25 PM
I voted for Metal Beard as the best episode from this room. It was tough choice between Bandit Queen and Metal Beard, but I went with the Purple Parrot win. TJ and Randy's performance was definitely stronger and the ending was more exciting. But both episodes are of equal preference for me, but Miriam drags her team's victory down a little bit.

PS: Go die in a fire Bifocal Monocle.

Next up is the Pirate's Cove with only two episodes:

The Helmet of Genghis Khan
The Moccasins of Geronimo
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 11: Pirate's Cove
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 18, 2014, 12:42:17 PM
I voted for Genghis Khan as the best episode from this room. This win was just plain average and unexciting, but I definitely prefer it over the overrated Geronimo. I hate Geronimo with a passion.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 11: Pirate's Cove

Genghis Khan. Crazy that there were only two.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 11: Pirate's Cove

Season 1 had a lot of rooms with short-lived appearances, so there were very few artifacts in those rooms. Luckily they did away with that in later seasons. Either way, Genghis Khan gets the most votes with 5 votes.  ;)  :mrred:

Next up is the Mine Shaft:

Galileo's Cannonball
Wild Bill Hickok and the Dead Man's Hand
The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora
The Lucky Medallion of Atocha
The Plumed Headdress of Cosa Rara
The Golden Goblet of Attila the Hun
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 12: Mine Shaft
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 19, 2014, 12:56:03 AM
Wow, this room featured two of my most favorite episodes for each team.  They were both strong, great, and memorable episodes. My choice for this one is Atocha. I slightly prefer this one over Galileo. It's nothing to do with Galileo at all. In fact, this vote was very close. I hope either one of these episodes win the vote for this room TBH.  :mrorange:  :mrsilver:

Also voted for Atocha, for same reasons. Galileo would be my second choice. Haters can suck it, they're both amazing temple runs. :mrsilver: :mrorange:

Lucky Medallion wins the best episode for this room!  :mrorange:

Next up is the Tomb of the Ancient Kings. Featured episodes:

John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine
The Trojan Horseshoe
The Paintbrush of Leonardo Da Vinci
The Stone Marker of Leif Erickson  8)
The Mask of Shaka Zulu
King Tut's Cobra Staff

Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 20, 2014, 02:28:31 PM
I voted for John Sutter as the episode from this room space!  :mrblue: One of my all time favorite episodes that was memorable from beginning to end. This was one of the best episodes of the first season and the entire show! Jennifer and Damian was a very strong team with a good plan in the temple. And Kirk was equally as excited as them too.  :mrblue:

Luckily Youtube can't vote in this poll because we know which one would win. :P

Shaka Zulu! Duh!!

Jk, John Sutter. But wow, a lot of notable episodes here, albeit for very different reasons. I'm looking at you guys Paintbrush and Stone Marker!
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 13: Tomb of the Ancient Kings

But Paintbrush and Stone Marker are the two most forgettable episodes ever. It was only made known by our name changes of it.

Although Paintbrush is clearly the better episode. Dumb artifact, but great episode title. 8)

Stone Marker is not forgettable. Keeli is famous now for her interview. 8)  :mrred:

And Map to the Lost Gold Mine wins the best episode for this room!  :mrblue:

Next up is the Swamp. I am combining the Season 1 and 2 Swamp episodes together since there aren't many episodes in either room and they are pretty identical to me.  ;)

Featured episodes:
Henry VIII's Great Seal
The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte
The Silver Cannonball of Grandy Nanny
The Stone Head of the Evil King
The Shriveled Hand of Efoua
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 14: Swamp
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 22, 2014, 02:48:08 PM
I voted for Great Seal as the best episode from this room space. It was easily the best episode compared to the others on this list, who were all either forgettable or really bad. And it is one of my favorite episodes anyways, so I had no choice but to vote for it!  :mrsilver:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 14: Swamp

Great Seal wins the best artifact for this room space!  :mrsilver:

Next up is the Tomb of the Headless Kings:

The Smashed Printing Plate of Frederick Douglass
The Royal Torque of Queen Boadicea
The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu
The Good-Luck Watch of Empress Eugenie
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 15: Tomb of the Headless Kings
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 23, 2014, 05:00:51 PM
I voted for Empress Eugenie as the best episode from this room. This was an exciting episode from beginning to end, mostly because it was the last day of the show. ;) The temple run was very exciting and comical at the same time. Jay shouting at Janeen and the temple guard touching Janeen's ass was hilarious. Also, Jay was a beast himself. I love Queen Boadicea too, but the earlier rounds weren't as exciting as Eugenie's was. Even though Jay and Janeen should've won moreso than Lissy and Nate. ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 15: Tomb of the Headless Kings

Good-Luck Watch wins this one unanimously!

Next up is the Quicksand Bog:
The War Fan of the 47 Ronin
The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta
The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain
The Lily-Crested Crown of Clovis I
The Melted Head of Madame Tussaud
The Pearl Necklace of Gwalior
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 16: Quicksand Bog
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 24, 2014, 11:24:00 PM
I voted for Lost Hornpipe as the best episode. This was a classic episode and great from beginning to end. It featured also one of the best teams ever on the show!  I love Chandragupta too and Andrea's win was solid. But I find that Lost Hornpipe has more going for it than Andrea's win. Jessica and Jarrid owned everything!

Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 16: Quicksand Bog
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 27, 2014, 12:57:08 AM
I knew Brent would vote for Chandragupta. It was a great episode, but I voted for Pirate Captain for the same reasons as the Paintbrush. It was a slightly strong episode and win. ;) And Pirate Captain wins this room space. ;)

Next up is Medusa's Lair:

The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor
The Ivory Elephant of Scheherazade
The Leopard-Skin Cloak of Annie Oakley
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 17: Medusa's Lair
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 27, 2014, 12:59:47 AM
I voted for Annie Taylor as the best episode.  :mrblue: Missy and the whole episode is a classic. It is not only the best episode from this room, but the best one on the whole show.  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:

Next up is the Season 2 Shrine. ;)
The Secret Battle Plan of Nathan Hale
The Golden Stallion of Ali Baba
The Diary of Dr. Livingstone
The Missing Eye of David
The Lost Lion Tail of Little John
The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid
The Broken Wing of Icarus
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 18: Shrine of the Silver Monkey (Season 2)

I voted for Snakeskin Boots as the best episode from this room.  :mrpurple: It was a classic episode that featured one of the most memorable storylines on the show. It is one of those episodes where you must watch, even if your a casual fan. None of the other episodes hold a candle to PP Pwnage.  :mrpurple:  :mrpurple:  :mrpurple:  :mrpurple:

And with five votes, Billy the Kid wins the award for this room space.  :mrpurple:

Next up is the Jester's Court. ;) I am adding Dolley Madison to the list too since that was the only episode in the Season 2 version. ;)

The Bonnet of Dolley Madison
The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain
The Thornwood Gavel of Judge Roy Bean
The Dried Ear of Corn of Sojouner Truth
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 19: Jester's Court
Post by: The Red Jaguars on September 30, 2014, 09:53:43 PM
I voted for Sir Gawain as the best episode.  :mrorange: One of my favorite solo wins on the show, even after watching it a million bazillion times. Tiffani was a great solo runner and I can't really complain about her performance. She got the job done and it was a solid effort all the way through. Dolley Madison was good too, but too many mistakes cost this team a win. I can't stand Thornwood Gavel and Thornwood Gavel at all.  :afro:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 19: Jester's Court
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on September 30, 2014, 11:18:39 PM
There were two episodes named Thornwood Gavel?

And I voted for Sir Gawain, no questions asked.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 19: Jester's Court
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 01, 2014, 03:38:55 PM
*Dried Ear of Corn, not Thornwood Gavel. ;)

And speaking of Thornwood Gavel, I am shocked someone voted for it. :o Did they mean to vote for Sir Gawain? I like the earlier rounds of Thornwood Gavel, but the temple run is just as bad as Enormous Feather and Missing Weather Maps. Even Dolley Madison is way better than Thornwood Gavel.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 19: Jester's Court
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on October 01, 2014, 03:43:13 PM
Yeah, maybe they did mean to vote for Sir Gawain. Unless they really like the quirkiness Thornwood Gavel had.

Regardless, vote changing has been enabled.

And Sir Gawain wins this with 4 votes, while Thornwood Gavel gets 1 bote. ;)

Next up is the Torch Room:

The Medal of Sir Edmund Hillary
The Snake Bracelet of Cleopatra
The Treasure of Anne Bonny
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 20: Torch Room
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 02, 2014, 04:17:44 PM
I voted for Sir Edmund Hillary as the best episode.  :mrsilver: Even though Danny and Tara made a few mistakes, their temple performance was still strong and exciting. I like this run a lot better than Snake Bracelet. If Danny and Tara had the Snake Bracelet layout, they would've beaten Benzibab's time.  :mrsilver:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 20: Torch Room

Next up is the Throne Room. Featured episodes:

Elizabeth I's Golden Ship
The Electrified Key of Benjamin Franklin
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 21: Throne Room
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 03, 2014, 01:21:05 AM
I voted for Benjamin Franklin as the best episode from this room. It was not the best episode and it did have a few fails, but it was much more exciting and eventful than Golden Ship. And I rather watch a team spend all 3 minutes coming close to the artifact than one slow ass team spend half of their run traveling through 4 rooms. Joe brings shame to my name too.  :afro:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 21: Throne Room

Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 21: Throne Room

As many problems Electrified Key had, it looks like Apanuugpak compared to Golden Ship. With that thought in mind, this episode wins the Throne Room's best episode with 4 votes. ;)

Next up is the Observatory - Stone Column. ;)

The Walking Stick of Harriet Tubman
The Cracked Crown of the Spanish King
The Very Tall Turban of Ahmed Baba
The Mask of the Man in the Iron Mask
The Milk Bucket of Freydis
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 22: Observatory (Stone Column)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 11, 2014, 01:12:34 AM
I voted for Milk Bucket as the best episode. :mrpurple: It was a a very fun episode and miles better than a certain win from this room. ;) Tarrah was a much stronger contestant than Shane, and I don't see how anyone can refute this at all. Especially considering Tarrah's path was tougher than his run. ;)  :mrpurple:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 22: Observatory (Stone Column)

Freydis. No questions asked.

Does anyone else find Ahmed Baba overrated? I do.

Freydis and it's not close. And yes, Baba is overrated.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 22: Observatory (Stone Column)
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on October 13, 2014, 07:58:50 PM
THANK YOU!!!! Of course Ahmed Baba is overrated. It's way overhyped and not as great as it's made out to be. Come on now, how can anyone NOT like Freydis? Everyone knows it's by far the most exciting win on the entire show. Tarrah was a trooper, and she deserves all the praise she gets. I'd almost go as far as saying she's on the same level as Missy in terms of greatness. Who's with me on that?

And view 1,000 of this thread. Whoo hoo. :mrpurple:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 22: Observatory (Stone Column)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 13, 2014, 08:08:17 PM
Freydis is a much better win and episode than Ahmed Baba. Freydis is a great episode from beginning to end, while I remember next to nothing about Ahmed Baba.  Tarrah's win was also more exciting than Shane's also. Especially the ending where it keeps you at the edge of your seat whether Tarrah would pull it off or not. Shane's run did not do the same for me. :S

And Freydis wins this room with four votes! :mrpurple:

Next up is Holes of Python with two episodes. ;)

The Dragon Lady and the Blue Pearl
Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 23: Holes of Python
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 13, 2014, 08:11:56 PM
Man, this room featured two great episodes.  :mrorange:  I had to give it to Lawrence of Arabia though because it was a great episode from beginning to end. It was also one of the most exciting wins too. Hell, I think it might be the best episode ever! Blue Pearl was exciting too, but it can't really top Nickelodeon's first episode. ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 23: Holes of Python

Lawrence of Arabia. Another obvious one. Next.

Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 23: Holes of Python
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 13, 2014, 08:17:27 PM
Actually, I think Lost Gold Mine can give Lawrence of Arabia a run for its money. :mrblue: Another classic episode that is exciting and quirky from beginning to end. Most people seem to agree with this too. :mrblue:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 23: Holes of Python

Lawrence of Arabia wins this room space with 4 votes. ;)

Next up is the Room of the Secret Password. ;)

The Silk Sash of Mulan
The Golden Pepperoni of Catherine de Medici
The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus
The Lion-Slashed Jacket of Sacagawea
The Lost Taj Mahal Turban of Aurangzeb
The Mystical Spellbook of the Imperial Wizard
The Ruby Earring of Benzibab
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 24: The Room of the Secret Password
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 15, 2014, 04:14:15 PM
There were a couple of good episodes that were wins in this room. But I placed my vote with Nostradamus. This was a solid and exciting episode all the way through. Good legend, close temple games, and a strong team victory to top it off. :mrorange: One of the few wins that people don't praise enough. BENZIBAB!111!!1 was a good episode for almost the same reasons, but I like the Nostradamus win over this one. ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 24: The Room of the Secret Password
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on October 15, 2014, 04:36:22 PM
Another vote for Nostradamus here.

Quite frankly, I find Benzibab overrated. Am I the only one who doesn't like it?
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 24: The Room of the Secret Password

I find it to be slightly overrated as well.

Btw voted for Nostradomus.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 24: The Room of the Secret Password
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on October 15, 2014, 08:48:21 PM
Benzibab is really overrated. It was a great team effort, but that layout was WAY too easy. Even Sforza's layout was harder than that. Even if it wasn't by that much. That's why I'm not gonna vote for it.

I like Nostradamus better. :mrorange: It's a great win and it doesn't get praised much AT ALL.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 24: The Room of the Secret Password

Another vote for Nostradamus here.

Quite frankly, I find Benzibab overrated. Am I the only one who doesn't like it?

kamehameha is going to make a return and smite you for that. ;)

I like Benzibab, but I definitely don't think it is on the same level as Nostradamus. Most of the wins with a lot of time on the clock (except Nose Ring) are not that great anyways. Nostradamus is much better than this one. Although I will take Benzibab over boring crap like Silk Sash and Lion-Slashed Jacket. ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 24: The Room of the Secret Password
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on October 15, 2014, 10:47:40 PM
Nah, kamehameha would just flood the forums with requests for BENZIBAB!!!! episode downloads.

And yeah, I agree. I much prefer wins where it's a closer finish over wins where there's plenty of time to spare. Oh well, at least it's not Golden Pepperoni, right? You know, the "worst temple run ever" according to YouTube? ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 25: Chamber of the Sacred Markers

Nostradamus wins the best episode for this room. :mrorange: Sorry kamehameha. :P

Next up is the Chamber of the Sacred Markers. ;)

Battle Flag (Paintbrush can type out the rest of the title. ;) )
The Marble Armrest of Xerxes
The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce
The Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein
The Mussel-Shell Armor of Apanuugpak
The Lost Whale Bone of Pytheas
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 25: Chamber of the Sacred Markers
Post by: The Red Jaguars on October 17, 2014, 12:47:34 AM
I voted for Mussel-Shell Armor as the best episode. Easily the best episode from this room, and for good reason too! Gator just owned the temple and it was a solid team victory. Aside from Battle Flag, the other episodes sucked or were just too forgettable. :afro:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 25: Chamber of the Sacred Markers
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on October 17, 2014, 12:48:29 AM

Okay, I want to take on this thread too, just like the artifact thread. Which room did you want to cover next, Stone Marker? We're doing the Chamber now, and Apanuugpak wins it unanimously. But which room were you gonna cover after that? And give me an exact order on what you wanted to do next, please. It would help speed this thread up even more. ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 25: Chamber of the Sacred Markers
Post by: The Red Jaguars on November 20, 2014, 11:05:24 PM
I think we covered every possible room that held multiple artifacts. IIRC, we have not covered the Room of the Secret Password or Heart Room. That should be it. ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 25: Chamber of the Sacred Markers
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on November 21, 2014, 01:02:18 AM
I think we've done the Room of the Secret Password. The Heart Room I'm pretty sure we didn't cover. You can take that one if you want, then conclude this thread. Up to you. ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 25: Chamber of the Sacred Markers
Post by: The Red Jaguars on November 21, 2014, 04:08:46 PM
Not to mention, the Room of the Secret Password was covered on this very same page. And yet I still missed it. :P Moving on, Mussel-Shell Armor wins the best episode for the Chamber.

Next room up is the Heart Room:

Ponce de Leon and the Lost Fountain of Youth
The Helmet of Joan of Arc
The Codebook of Mata Hari
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 26: Heart Room
Post by: The Red Jaguars on November 21, 2014, 04:11:08 PM
What an unremarkable and lackluster episode selection. I guess it is only fitting for something as lame as the Heart Room. Anyways, I chose "Joan of Arc" as the best episode. This episode is not good in anyway, but it is average at best. And the other two runs had more flaws and two stupid second runners who deserve more criticism. I just can tolerate "Joan of Arc" more than the others.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 26: Heart Room

Joan of Arc. It's the least pathetic compared to the other two.

Title: Re: Best Episode by Room - Day 26: Heart Room

Yeah, Season 1 did not have very good Heart Room artifacts, did they? All of them are forgettable and/or bad. O_O

And I guess that covers it for this thread? Assuming we really have covered every room space.
