Title: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Twelve: Red Jaguars
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 05, 2013, 11:31:18 PM
Just another poll now that the "Rate the Bottom of the Central Shaft" topic is done. This time around, I want to make a poll for each of the six teams to determine who everyone finds to be the top 3 male players on each team. For every team, you can vote up to three different males who you believe to be the best of that particular team. The top 3 males with the most votes after voting is over will be considered 1 of 3 males of that team. Each poll will last for about 24 hours. I also included players who didn't make it to the temple either into the poll if you want to factor other reasons for your voting. ;)

Top 3 Males Results:

Red Jaguars
1. Nate ("The Royal Torque of Queen Boadicea") - 7 votes
2. Nick ("The Missing Weather Maps of Charles Lindbergh") - 6 votes
3. Steve ("The Keys to the Alhambra") - 4 votes

Blue Barracudas
1. Josh ("The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King") - 6 votes
2. Quentin ("The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu") - 6 votes

2. Jason ("The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus") - 5 votes

Purple Parrots
1. T.J. ("The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen") - 6 votes
2. Tony ("The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid") - 5 votes

Silver Snakes
1. Zac ("The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen") - 6 votes
2. Shem ("The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan") - 5 votes

Bottom 3 Males Results:

Green Monkeys

3. Thomas ("The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack") - 5 votes

Purple Parrots
1. Claude ("The Lost Lion Tail of Little John") - 5 votes
2. Brian ("The Sacred Ring of Sultan Suleiman") - 5 votes
3. Derek ("The Upside-Down Compass of Henry Hudson") - 4 votes

Otherwise, we will start off with the best temple team.  :mrred:

The best three Red Jaguar males in my opinion are:

1. Nate (Queen Boadicea) - He was very strong all day and had a solid effort in the temple. After Lissy was taken out with only 2 minutes left, Nate completed 5 rooms and grabbed the Royal Torque with 15 seconds left. He was even smart enough to take the high road out of the temple!

2. Nick (Charles Lindbergh) - He was simply amazing once he reached the Pit. The way he completed the Laser Light Room was badass and made it all the way to his sixth room in a minute time span. Too bad his player ruined it.

3. Steve (Alhambra) - It was either him or Kris, but I went with Steve just because of the way he moved through the bottom floor of the temple. Even if his path was very easy, that was an amazing speed to run through. And just like Nick, it was his moronic partner that ruined everything. Kris was good too, but Steve was a little more impressive speed wise.

Steve (Alhambra), Nick (Missing Weather Maps), and Nate for me.

Steve, Nick, and Nate also. Notice how they all appeared in different seasons.

It looks like the winners are Nate (7), Nick (6), and Steve (4). All three players will make it to the top 3 list.

Now I will set up the poll for the Blue Barracudas. ;)
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Two: Blue Barracudas
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 06, 2013, 06:50:54 PM
The 3 best Blue Barracuda players IMO are:

1. Josh (Mummified Hand) - He did good before the temple run and was very dominant in the temple. He moved fast and had one of the fastest Silver Monkey assemblies.

2. Quentin (Red Sash) - Another Barracuda boy that owned before the temple and did good in the temple. He did a good job as a second for Brandy and almost pulled off a one second grab for the Sash.

3. Brett (Dr. Livingstone) - It was either him or Damien from Map to the Lost Gold Mine. He didn't do too bad and won it for the team. He was more of a filler anyways.

I also said Josh, Quenten, and Brett. They're the only male Blue Barracuda players I was even remotely impressed with to be honest.

Someone voted for Mr. Monster Monkey!

I chose Josh, Quentin, & Keith.

I voted Josh, Quentin and Brett like everyone else.

I think we can move onto the next team now. The results were spread all over the place, but Josh (6), Quentin (6), and Brett (6) all had the most votes. I am surprised that no one voted for Mitchell. And I am glad too he didn't get any votes. :P

Next team up though is the Green Monkeys.

This one was tough because a lot of these male players were great, but I voted for David (Lawrence of Arabia), Gator (Mussel-Shell Armor), and Jarrid (Pirate Captain):

1. David - He was a solid player in the temple. He moved fast, had a quick Monkey assembly while holding all 3 pieces at the same time, and his temple exit was easily the best on the show. I didn't think he would pull it off the first time, but David owned.

2. Gator - Gator was awesome also. This team wouldn't have won if he never entered the temple. I wish we had more contestants like him.

3. Jarrid - Aside from the small detour into the Room of the Secret Password, Jarrid was a great second runner and he dominated a tough layout. He was great.

There were a couple of other players I wanted to vote for: Jay, Travis, and Jonathan to name a few.

Before I go to bed, I want to move onto the Orange Iguanas since it seems like everyone already voted for the Green Monkeys guys. The winners for the Green Monkeys are Gator ( 8 ), David ( 8 ), and Jarrid (6).

And the next team will be the Orange Iguanas. Let me set the poll. ;)
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Four: Orange Iguanas
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 08, 2013, 02:17:19 AM
The poll is now set. I voted for Ty (Atocha), Jason (Levitating Dog Leash), and Mike (Judge Roy Bean).

1. Ty - Ty was one of the best male players on the show. He owned the earlier rounds on the show and did an awesome job in the temple. The pendant drop did not phase him at all and he was fast and smart to take the top route out of the temple.

2. Jason - Another smart Orange Iguana player. He followed up on Elizabeth's steps pretty well and was clever to use the Dog Leash in the Pit.

3. Mike - He was strong the whole day for his team and he had the fastest Silver Monkey assembly ever. Too bad his partner ruined it.
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Four: Orange Iguanas

I also voted for Ty, Jason, and Mike from Thornwood Gavel. They're pretty much the only Orange Iguanas male players I even like. Naturally, I only picked players who actually entered the temple.
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Four: Orange Iguanas

I too voted for Ty, Mike and Jason. The rest weren't really anything special.

Looks like I'm one of the two that picked Matt, along with Ty and Jason. I simply thought Matt was slightly better than Mike. Ty and Jason were obvious choices.
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Four: Orange Iguanas

I think we can move onto the Purple Parrots now. The three best Orange Iguana voted players are Ty (6), Jason (5), and Mike (5).

Now we move onto the Purple Parrots. ;)
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Five: Purple Parrots
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 08, 2013, 10:59:26 PM
The poll is now up. My three choices for the best Purple Parrot players are TJ (Egyptian Queen), Tony (Billy the Kid), and Shane (Oracle Bowl).

1. TJ - He was a very fast and solid contestant. He owned the bottom floor of the temple and was very supportive of Randy. No matter how hard their layout was, TJ would've made great time.

2. Tony - He was strong all day just like TJ. While his temple exit was kind of poor, Tony still got the job done and I think he deserves being on this list since he was part of the Purple Parrots very first win.

3. Shane - He was a beast throughout the whole episode and carried his team mostly to the temple. In his short time in the temple, Shane made great time too. It was Jackie that ruined everything. -_- Shane should've gone in second.

Post by: PurpleParrot319 on August 08, 2013, 11:03:30 PM
You have Randy in the poll instead of T.J. :P

I voted for T.J., Tony, and Milk Bucket's Chris. I remember Chris being very dominant before the temple run. He didn't enter the temple, but I thought he was very good in every other round. Shane was very close to getting my vote instead, but Shane made the bad mistake of taking the direct path in his run. T.J. and Tony were obvious picks.
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Five: Purple Parrots
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on August 09, 2013, 12:43:04 AM
Yeah, Randy was a girl, TJ is what you want on the poll. ;)

And I also voted for TJ, Tony, and Shane. They were all solid players.

I fixed the Randy/TJ mistake. Although I am sure when we first watched this run, we all thought that Randy was the male player. :P

I think this is a good stopping point for the Purple Parrots. The top 3 male players are T.J. (6), Tony (5), and Shane (4).

And now we will move onto our final team, the Silver Snakes.  :mrsilver:
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Six: Silver Snakes
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 09, 2013, 04:28:26 PM
The poll is officially up now. ;) This was a tough choice because there were 5 or 6 guys that were really good. I chose: Jammin John (Galileo), Shem (Henry Morgan), and Zac (Bandit Queen).

1. Jammin John - For one of the first temple teams ever, John did really good. He owned every round and brought the Cannonball out with one second to spare. You couldn't ask for anything better for the first temple team ever. Also, his nick name was awesome.  :mrsilver:

2. Zac - Another player that owned everything. His speed in the temple was amazing, and the Silver Snakes wouldn't have won without Zac.  :mrsilver:

3. Shem - It was either him or Kevin, but I thought that Shem put up a stronger and more impressive effort. He was very fast in the temple and did a good job grabbing the Golden Earring at the last second.

I also thought that Joel and Kevin were great players too. However, the above three were more impressive and deserved the top 3 spots more. Robbie was even another one I might've voted for.  :mrsilver:
Title: Re: Best Three Male Players by Team - Day Six: Silver Snakes

JK JK. I voted Jammin John, Shem and Zac

So the top 3 Silver Snake males are Zac (6), Jammin John (5), and Shem (5).

What I am doing to do is use this thread to do the bottom 3 male players for each team. To make it easy, I will go backwards and we will do the three bottom male Silver Snake players. ;)

So, you're gonna use this thread to make the "bottom three worst players?" Sounds good to me, I think I already know one of the players I'll vote for when it comes to the worst Silver Snake guys. ;)
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Seven: Silver Snakes
Post by: PurpleParrot319 on August 12, 2013, 11:08:51 PM
Two of the choices were very easy. Golden Cricket Cage's John and Casey. The other one wasn't as easy. I went with Garrett as my third choice because of everyone else, I thought he was the most mediocre. I considered picking Billy and Adam, but I thought Garrett was worse than them. It really isn't fair to pick Tony because he never got to enter the temple.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Seven: Silver Snakes
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 12, 2013, 11:09:42 PM
The poll is set now. I wish it was always this easy. :P Anyways, I voted for John (Golden Cricket Cage), Casey (Kilimanjaro), and Billy (Lost Hammer).

1. John - Easy vote for me. It took him half of the temple run to get to the Heart Room and he got sidetracked too much. He even backtracked to the Cave of Sighs. Worst male player ever.

2. Casey - Another easy vote. Casey spent two minute just to get to the Dark Forest in S3. That is very bad, considering most players got there in half of the time it took him. It didn't help that he must've tried each objective 2-3 times. Another waste of space.

3. Billy - I know Kim screwed this run up to the point that it wasn't winnable, but Billy didn't help matters himself by wasting time climbing the Spider's Lair webbing. Plus, he moved kind of slow and took the Mine Shaft elevator.

I was going to vote Jeremy too on account he was so slow and won by only pressing two buttons                   . But Billy made more mistake than this slowpoke.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Seven: Silver Snakes

John & Casey were obvious losers, the third I chose was Jeremy from      . He was slow and he acted like 2 buttons was the objective of the century. Plus, I hate his celebration too.

I changed my vote from Billy to Jeremy also. Billy had no chance at winning, but at least he made it far into the temple despite the little time he had. But Jeremy was slow, confused, and there is no excuse for winning with 30 seconds left with that easy layout. He even stops at the Steps to celebrate.

I am surprised some people voted for Garrett from Mata Hari. He actually made decent time with his layout. Granted, he could've moved a little faster in certain rooms. But he made it one room away with almost a minute left. It didn't matter anyways, because they wouldn't have won with Rinette as the second runner.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Seven: Silver Snakes

The three biggest Silver Snake losers are John (Golden Cricket Cage) (5), Casey (5), and Jeremy (4)        .

Time to move onto the Purple Parrots. ;)
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Eight: Purple Parrots
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 13, 2013, 09:12:30 PM
This was a tough choice because two were obvious answers, but the last choice was hard to make. In the end I voted Claude (Lost Lion Tail), Brian (Sultan Suleiman), and Derek (Henry Hudson)

1. Claude - This choice was obvious. Claude was a horrible player and so terrible that he ranked on John and Tia's level. It was bad enough the Purple Parrots got to the temple on a team game fail, but Claude makes it worse with his performance.

2. Brian - This run would have not ended in triple capture had Brian either a.) Tried all three books in the Crypt or b.) Signal the half-pendant to Gracelyn.

3. Derek - This was a filler choice for me. He wasn't a bad player at all, but he made some weird mistakes in the temple like knocking the Silver Monkey over and detouring into a couple of rooms that could've been avoided.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Eight: Purple Parrots
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on August 13, 2013, 10:00:40 PM
I also voted for Claude, Brian, and Derek. The former two choices were obvious picks, but Derek was my filler choice, just like TRJ. Derek wasn't a bad player at all, but he's the next weakest player after Claude and Brian. Even then, Derek is definitely NOT as bad as people make him out to be.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Eight: Purple Parrots
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 14, 2013, 10:54:11 PM
And it looks like the losers are Claude (5), Brian (5), and Derek (5).

Now we move onto the Orange Iguanas.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Nine: Orange Iguanas
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 14, 2013, 11:06:09 PM
This was actually pretty hard this time, because a lot of Orange Iguana players were a good choice for the bottom 3.  In the end, I chose Thomas (Bifocal Monocle), Justin (Golden Chains), and Evan (Shiva).

1. Thomas - While he had little time to himself, he acted like a complete dumbass in the temple. He was the only contestant ever to pull books in the Crypt when doors were open, ran into his partner's dead end, and moved so slow. A lost cause player.

2. Evan - He was very slow as a second runner and did not know how to assemble the Silver Monkey. Only if Larry didn't screw up so bad, this would be the contender for the worst assembly.

3. Justin - It was either him or Damien from Pytheas. Damien was really slow, but at least he knew what he was doing. There is very little that can be said about Justin though. He was slow and wasted too much time detouring between the central shaft and Treasure Room. He had more than enough time to make it far in the temple. He sucked.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Nine: Orange Iguanas
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on August 14, 2013, 11:08:46 PM
I also voted for Justin, Evan, and Thomas, for same reasons as TRJ. They were the only Orange Iguana male players that were REALLY bad. The rest were just average, but not exactly bad.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Nine: Orange Iguanas
Post by: PurpleParrot319 on August 14, 2013, 11:31:06 PM
I voted for Evan, Thomas, and Justin like you guys did. However, I'm surprised you two didn't pick Brian and Nick knowing how you feel about them.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Nine: Orange Iguanas
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 14, 2013, 11:33:19 PM
In Brian's defense, he was just so slow and didn't have a chance at winning by the time he entered. The three guys that I voted for blew it by the time they entered the temple and made really dumb mistakes that shouldn't have happened. Nicholas was a really good contender too, but I will keep my vote for Justin because this kid got lost in the Treasure Room and Heart Room.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Nine: Orange Iguanas
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 15, 2013, 09:05:48 PM
And it looks like the biggest losers for the Orange Iguanas are Evan (6), Justin (5), and Thomas (5).

Now we move onto GM1's team.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Ten: Green Monkeys
Post by: The Red Jaguars on August 15, 2013, 09:18:46 PM
This poll was filled with some Green Monkeys guys that failed pretty hard in the temple. In the end, I chose Chris (Lost Lariat), Jason (Icarus), and Pat (Xerxes).

1. Pat - He had more than a minute to himself and could not get past the Quicksand Bog, where his partner was taken out. Plus, he sucked all day throughout his episode, especially in his individual game. He was a lost cause for sure.

2. Chris - He is the real reason why the Lost Lariat run was not a win. He had more than enough time to bring the Lariat out, but he blew it by taking his sweet old time in the temple. If he moved his butt any faster, this team would've won.

3. Jason - I don't care how close he was to winning, it should not take 3 minutes to bring the artifact back to the gate with that layout. Jason hesitated too many times, backtracked a couple of times, and had a bad exit plan. He deserved to lose.

I wanted to vote for Brett from William Tell, but I cut him some slack because 1.) His layout was very hard and 2.) His useless waste of space of a partner made him look like Gator in the temple.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Ten: Green Monkeys
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on August 15, 2013, 09:21:26 PM
I voted for Chris, Pat, and Brett. I went with Brett because even though his layout was pretty much unwinnable, he was way too slow and clueless. Of course, loudmouth Lauren wasn't any better either.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Ten: Green Monkeys
Post by: PurpleParrot319 on August 15, 2013, 09:24:37 PM
Janeen's a guy? :P

I voted for Chris, Pat, and Jeremy. I picked Jeremy because he was a little too slow, clueless, and missed an easy half pendant that he pissed away in his temple game. Slightly worse than Jason and Brett.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Ten: Green Monkeys
Post by: NekoSuave on August 15, 2013, 09:27:51 PM
Chris and Pat were obvious choices for me, but for my third vote, I went with Jason. Why? Because I find him to be worse than Brett. Seriously, he had 54 seconds to exit the Temple, and how does he spend those seconds? With a very bad exit plan. With Brett, he had no chance of winning no matter what. At least Jason had a chance, which makes everything worse.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Ten: Green Monkeys
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on August 15, 2013, 09:28:01 PM
Fixed the "Janeen" error in the poll. Jay was a guy, and far from a bad player obviously.
Title: Re: Bottom Three Male Players by Team - Day Ten: Green Monkeys
Post by: GreenMonkeys#1 on August 15, 2013, 09:30:58 PM
Janeen is a boy?!!

I chose Pat because he sucks, Chris because he blew the run at the end, and Jason because he fucked it with the exit plan. Zac had 0:27 left and won from the same space. Olivia-Emma had 0:37 left with an extra room and won as well. But Jason, with 0:56 left, fucks it up and has a stupid extra room as well. The result is he comes up one yard short.

Now that I updated the girls list, I can do the guys now. The three biggest losers for the Green Monkeys will be Chris from Lost Lariat (6), Pat (5), and Jason from Icarus (4).

Our second to last team will be the Blue Barracudas.

Blue Barracuda poll is up now.  :mrblue: My three votes when to Larry (Mary Shelley), Tony (Stone Head), and Steven (Mulan),

1. Larry - He had a full minute to himself, but could not make any progress. Larry did not know how to run at all and he spent the rest of his time trying to assemble the monkey. Except he never even comes close to assembling the monkey. We get the Monster Monkey as a result.

2. Tony - While four snakes Medusa was brutal, it should not take a whole minute to complete this room. If Tony took his time and didn't just jab the snakes in any place on her head, he might've done better. Plus, he smashed the pots in the King's Storeroom like an idiot.

3. Steven - He moved slow and never even completed the Stone Column the right way. As a result, he created a long path for himself and was too hesitant anyways. A pretty overlooked lackluster player.

I voted for Tony, Larry, and Aaron. The former two were obvious choices, but I voted for Aaron because he was just too slow and lackluster for me. Though Steven from Silk Sash was pretty bad too.

I completely forgot about this poll. :o It looks like our losers are Tony (4), Larry (3), and Aaron (3).

And we save the best team for last, since the Red Jaguars are next.  :mrred:

The three bottom Red Jaguar males I voted for were Ron (Anne Bonny), Joe (Golden Ship), and Jason (Smashed Printing Plate).

1. Jason - He did not know what he was doing in the temple at all. He backtracked and wasted time in the Chamber and hesitated too much. By the time he entered the Shrine, there was no hope for him winning. You wonder why Dana was shouting at him.

2. Ron - AKA the boy in my avatar. Ron had an easy path to the artifact, and he moved slow the whole way there. And once we grabbed the Treasure Chest with about a minute left, he loses it all by taking the central shaft way out of the temple. Plus, he was a cheater like Jason.

3. Joe - This was kind of a filler choice, but Joe was so slow in his short time in the temple. It should not take you 45 seconds to get to the Heart Room. Plus, his strategy to get the Golden Ship was so lame.

Justin from Iron Mask was a Blue Barracuda, NOT Red Jaguar. Derrick from Captain John Smith has been added in his place, albeit in the last slot. Please watch out for that stuff. ;)

I also voted for Joe, Ron, and Jason. My reasons:

Jason: He doesn't deserve ANY of the sympathy he gets and he doesn't deserve to be defended the way that he does. He was too slow, ran back and forth between rooms, didn't take the Shrine/Forest passage, climbed the Quicksand Bog ladder when he didn't have to, and he just in general had no idea what he was doing. No wonder Dana was yelling at him, even though she was no better herself.

Ron: He cheats during the moat, and then gives a half assed temple performance. AND takes a bad exit plan out. Ain't karma a bitch?

Joe: He's not really a terrible player, but he's definitely a weak link. I know the temple guard placement was a bit unfair, but he should know that opening the door from the Wall Climb to the Throne Room will NOT work. Plus, he was waaaaaay too slow.
