Title: Which temple room should be crowned "Most Difficult Temple Room"?
Post by: PurpleParrot319 on May 22, 2012, 10:03:11 PM
Does anyone remember that game we did a couple of months ago to determine which room was the hardest? Looking back on it now, I think we should've had a poll to determine which room was truly the hardest. I made the final blow and it turns out it might've been the wrong choice. I gave Medusa's Lair the win, but did it deserve the title of "Most Difficult Temple Room"? I think we need to determine this the fair way.

Of the top 5 rooms in that game, which one should be crowned "Most Difficult Temple Room"? Winner of this poll will be given that title. The top 5 hardest rooms in finishing order from the game are:

#5: The King's Storeroom - Season 2
#4: The Shrine of the Silver Monkey
#3: The Tomb of the Headless Kings
#2: The Chamber of the Sacred Markers
#1: Medusa's Lair

To increase the number of votes this poll gets, you can only see the results AFTER you have voted. This is for those who are curious. Vote legitimately please. That means vote for the room that you think is truly the hardest.

I just voted, but I'm keeping my vote anonymous.

You think after five votes, we should reveal what we voted for and explain our choice?

I say just do the "24 hour vote" thing. Just like we do with all elimination games.

One problem: I can't do that. I never set an expiration date for the poll and now I can't even click on the bubble to allow me to set a time for it.

I set my vote in too and I guess I will reveal it once others choose to reveal their votes. ;)

I would think that post alone would indicate that I did indeed set a poll. You have 24 hours until voting closes, as usual.

My vote = remains anonymous. Though I might reveal it if everyone else does.

Eh, I guess I'll reveal my vote after the deadline as well. I don't think many people so that comment anyway.

And we have a winner! Turns out we didn't even need this topic after all because Medusa's Lair wins again.

I'll admit, I didn't vote for this room this time. I went with The Shrine of the Silver Monkey. I felt that this room was more time-consuming and difficult than the other rooms. I felt it provided the biggest challenge. This room was there from the very beginning and it almost always saw someone struggle with the monkey. Medusa's Lair is a good pick, but I think The Shrine of the Silver Monkey should've won.

Medusa's Lair deserved to win. It was time consuming and always broken. Seriously, look how long it takes for the "eyes" to light up. The Shrine would be a close second for me, but I'm glad Medusa's Lair won. No other room deserves it more.

Personally, I voted for the Chamber of the Sacred Markers. That room required the contestants to have a lot of focus when completing it. Not only that, it didn't help that the markers blend into the room. This room was not easy when racing against the clock.

I am not surprised to see Medusa's Lair win though. That room is so hard that they had to dumb down on the number of snakes you put in her head. Even then, two snakes were time consuming for most of the runs like "The Missing Eye of David" and "The Mask of the Man in the Iron Mask". And it was broken half of the time too.

The Shrine is a good runner up though. There is a reason that room was kept for all three seasons of the show and that was because that room was a true challenge.

I voted for the Tomb of the Headless King - whenever the ropes were pulled, you kinda have to cross your fingers that the skull doesn't bounce completely out of the way.  Add in the fact that the room was dark, the contestant was in a hurry, and you have two bodies to try and it certainly seems like one the most unfair room.

Yeah, that room was time consuming too and made the central column hellish for the contestants to traverse. And then contestants would waste time pulling on the same vine when they didn't need to and they would also have a hard time finding the skull too.
