I stole this idea from the Trivia thread and surprised no one has made one yet.
The rules are simple - one person will create a riddle pertaining to Legends and the next person must try to guess the riddle. The riddles can be about anything, just as long as its Legends related.
The first person who gets the riddle first can post their own if they like or can pass it onto another person. If you guess wrong, try to give another person a chance to guess before guessing again.
I will start off:
No brave soul has ever retrieved a prized possession from my lair,
apparently I house the deceased from former players.
I am responsible for a tragic ending to a certain team,
I am a space without a real theme.
Who am I?
-
Tomb of the Headless Kings?
-
Not quite what I was looking for, but you are definitely on the right track. ;)
-
The Dungeon?
The Pendant of Kamehameha had a tragic ending concerning the Dungeon, and there wasn't much to the room.
-
Correct, it was the lame Dungeon!
No brave soul has ever retrieved a prized possession from my lair,
Three artifacts were featured in this room and were never once retrieved.
apparently I house the deceased from former players.
Kirk always talks about the former contestants being in this room.
I am responsible for a tragic ending to a certain team,
The Dungeon housed the straggling guard from "The Pendant of Kamehameha" that unfairly ended their run.
I am a space without a real theme.
Its just a room with ladders and no skeletons.
Your turn! :mrred:
-
I'll pass. I'm not good at making riddles.
-
I guess I will go again. :mrblue:
I am a delicasy made out of mother nature,
I am hidden in a space full of once proud fighting men.
The youth that sought me never were able to reach the level I was residing at,
their ending fate was getting stuck in a broken threshold with possessed foliage.
Who am I?
-
The Snow Cone of Mount Kilimanjaro
It's a snow cone.
It was in the Room of the Ancient Warriors.
The players were stupid enough to remain at the bottom level.
They ended in the Dark Forest.
-
Correct!
And you couldn't describe it any better than I did. But I would've been a little more harsh though in my description.
-
Fine, I'll try something. I'll edit when I have something.
EDIT: Here it is.
I'm usually, from the ground, far away.
If I wasn't in my room, someone would drive you away.
How royal and grand it would be to achieve victory
if it weren't for two people's stupidity.
Who am I?
-
The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan?
Only reason I'm guessing this is because of two embarrassments to the show— John and Tia, based on the last line.
-
I agree with GMW. Crickets are on the ground, but seem far away. They make loud noise which would drive you away. And as stated by GMW, Tia and John and were idiots.
-
I guess I will post a new one until the answer is revealed.
A shrine devoted to a trio of precious deities,
lying their idly awaiting for a wanderer to snuggle with their prosperity.
A temple once housing a tool belonging to a being of great strength,
only one who seeks to enter the murky bottoms may seek the help of these gods.
Who am I?
-
The Golden Idols
There are three of them
You have to hug the idol
The "tool" refers to John Henry's Lost Hammer
The idols are only useful if you want to go down to the Swamp area
-
The Golden Idols
There are three of them
You have to hug the idol
The "tool" refers to John Henry's Lost Hammer
The idols are only useful if you want to go down to the Swamp area
All of those are correct!
-
An instrument of tessenjutsu
I hold the story of
A group of prime warriors who
Attacked lord Kira
What am I?
-
The War Fan of the Forty-seven Ronin
A fan with
The story of the forty-seven ronin
Outspokenly brave warriors who
Did away with Lord Kira for killing Lord Asano
-
Correct.
-
Following up with this riddle:
This is home to a dreadfully-appearing Greek monster
She needs you to do some hairstyling with snakes
She can shriek like a banshee and her eyes may illuminate a reddish hot pink glow
Alack, she caused a pocketful of players who stumbled upon here significant delay and defects
What am I?
-
Medusa's Lair
-
Correct.
This was at the center of the temple
You had to insert two snakes into Medusa's head
When you installed both snakes in her head, she would shriek excessively and her eyes would turn a neon red glow
A pocketful of contestants who completed this objective had to cope with significant delay and production errors
-
Here's one:
Basked in somber glow,
I am nearly the last of my kind.
My objective is easy to know,
But I ensure that you fall behind.
What am I?
-
Is it the Mine Shaft?
-
Incorrect, but now that I look at the riddle again, that answer would make sense. Here is a modified version:
Basked in somber glow,
I am nearly the last of my kind.
My objective is easy to know,
But I ensure that you fall behind.
In layout seven I am seen,
Yet why is my life so brief?
The path is broken and green,
No doubt a source of grief!
What am I?
-
The Holes of Python?
-
Fine, I'll try something. I'll edit when I have something.
EDIT: Here it is.
I'm usually, from the ground, far away.
If I wasn't in my room, someone would drive you away.
How royal and grand it would be to achieve victory
if it weren't for two people's stupidity.
Who am I?
I was looking for The Comet Embroidered Battle Flag of William the Conqueror.
High in the sky
Temple guard behind the door in the Chamber or the Sacred Markers will drive you away
Royal and grand as he was a king.
Olivia and Jonathan did stupid mistakes...
-
The Holes of Python?
That is correct! Here's my rationale:
Basked in somber glow,
I am nearly the last of my kind.
My objective is easy to know,
But I ensure that you fall behind.
The room is gloomy and dark. Besides the season 2 Swamp, it is also the last room that closely resembles its predecessors (Swamp/Spider's Lair/Bamboo Forest). Afterward, it becomes and remains the Jester's Court, which has a completely different theme. Finally, the objective is easy: push an actuator. However, due to the room's structure, it really slows contestants down.
In layout seven I am seen,
Yet why is my life so brief?
The path is broken and green,
No doubt a source of grief!
The room appears in S1L7. However, for better or worse, it is not a long-term room. Lastly, the partitions divide the room into smaller sections ("broken"), and the room is obviously green.
-
I laugh in your face
When with me you unite
I might slow down your pace
Because I never shed the right light.
Who am I?
-
Another hard one. Is it Th Jester's Court?
-
Is it the Laser Light Room?
-
Correct, The Viper.
After completing the objective, there is a laughing sound.
Unite as in aligning with the paintings
It may slow down your pace as the light is dimmed after the objective.
-
Ok.
Below the top.
3 artifacts were propped.
None were retrieved.
One of my successors leaves some people skeeved.
-
The Tomb of the Headless Kings.
-
The Dungeon
-
Incorrect.
-
Both?
-
Yes.
-
The Heart Room?
-
Correct.
It was below the "top" of the temple.
3 artifacts were put there but none were retrieved.
Some people are skeeved out by Medusa's Lair.
-
I'll pass, I'm not good with riddles.
-
Let me see.
My objective is too easy
Thats why many choose me
But I may be creaky
And an open door may not be.
-
The Ledges?
-
The Crypt?
-
Both incorrect.
-
The Throne Room?
-
The Treasure Room?
-
All still wrong.
-
The Troubled Bridge?
All the contestants had to do was run across a bridge, which was much easier than the Rock Quarry/Wheel Room.
People prefer to go through the bridge then complete an objective on the bottom floor.
Bridges are often creaky when crossed.
In some runs, the bridge is deadend like in the Oracle Bowl of Delphi.
-
You couldn't have described it better.
-
Sorry for hijacking your turn TRJ, But I came up with a real cryptic one I wanted to try out on you all:
I went from the bottom of the sea,
To inside the Earth's crust,
But for the Person who found me,
A toss was a must.
Who am I?
-
The Broken Trident of Poseidon?
-
That's not what I was looking for, TRJ.
But can you explain why you chose the Trident so I can see if my riddle was ambiguous?
-
It's RJF, not TRJ.
The legend involved Poseidon the god of the sea, and Kimberly took it and she just happened to leave it aside.
-
Is it the Snow Cone of Mt. Kilimanjaro?
-
The Keys to the Alhambra?
-
The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza?
-
Is he gonna give the answer?
-
Just to throw something else out there:
The Silver Monkey
-
I guess I will proceed with my riddle until TMH reveals his answer.
A trinket once belonging to a warrior who ascended a great peak,
decorating a chamber where the correct light will open the way.
Only riding a container of water will reward one with this prized possession,
a faulty escape doomed this clan from seeking the ultimate win.
-
Don't you mean RJF? You and your Fogg-Ups TRJ. ;)
Answer: Is it The Medal of Sir Edmund Hillary?
-
Correct, it was the Medal of Sir Edmund Hillary!
Sir Edmund Hillary climbed to the top of Mt. Everest
The Medal was hidden in the Torch Room
The room could only be entered via the Well
Tara had an atrocious exit plan that ruined their chances for a win
-
I'll pass.
-
It was TDE, not me.
Let me see
The center of the temple, I was there.
A fall was involved in my story.
The person who got me, her partner thought it was fair
that she gave him some of her glory.
-
The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor
It was located in Medusa's Lair
Annie Taylor fell to the bottom of Niagara Falls in a barrel
Missy was the first contestant to get an artifact out of the temple
but John needed some boob action to compensate for her incredible feat
-
Correct.
-
Who's going next?
-
Let me try another.
An empire about to shift
to a true ruler that will go far
A great friend will give me as a gift
And I will be with her fellow guards.
-
The Broken Trident of Poseidon?
-
The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza?
-
Both wrong, though my riddle does seem a bit vague. I'll give a hint only if it's really needed.
-
The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great?
-
The Ruby Earring of Benzibab?
-
The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great?
Correct
-
I'll go.
I am a precious piece of jewelry.
Made of fake gems.
I was put on a rock.
In a "Murky Quagmire."
-
The Pearl Necklace of Gwalior
-
Correct
-
Let me try a riddle:
We're made for walkin'.
That's just what we do.
One of these days we'll come and walk all over you.
-
It can be two artifacts, unless I'm forgetting one or more.
The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid?
-
The Moccasins of Geronimo
-
It can be two artifacts, unless I'm forgetting one or more.
The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid?
You got it, correct.
-
Next riddle:
Will it turn?
Will it open?
Might have to use another one of these.
-
The Ancient Warrior Armor?
-
Good guess, but it's not right.
-
Is he gonna give the answer?
Sorry about not giving my answer, I got called out of town and couldn't access the internet where I went.
I went from the bottom of the sea,
To inside the Earth's crust,
But for the Person who found me,
A toss was a must.
Who am I?
My answer was the Lucky Medallion of Atocha.
It went from the shipwreck that it was in,
To the Mine Shaft of the Temple,
But for Ty,
He had to have his pendant Tossed back to him.
-
The Treasure of the Golden Orbs?
for PP319's riddle.
-
Nope. Here's a hint:
It's an artifact.
-
The Keys to the Alhambra?
-
The Electrified Key of Ben Franklin?
-
The Electrified Key of Ben Franklin?
That is correct. Though I must say I totally forgot about Keys to Alhambra. Blame Lisa for making me forget.
Turn the key.
Will the door open?
If it doesn't, try another key.
-
A garment for wearing
Upon the tip of your head
2 vertices I possess
My owner is dead.
-
The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon?
-
Correct.
You wear it on your head.
It has 2 vertices, or corners.
Napoleon Bonaparte is dead.
-
Bump.
-
Let me try to reboot this with a new riddle.
I am situated at the middle of all the operations,
I am modeled after an emotion that can be found in all species.
The choices are yours and yours alone when it comes down to me,
I am also the possessor of a mythical liquid that brings everlasting innocence.
Who am I?
-
The Heart Room
-
The Heart Room
Correct! :mrred:
The Heart Room is also known as the "center of the temple".
Its based on the heart, which can be found in all living species.
When you enter the Heart Room, you have a choice in what direction to go into next.
The Water Bottle of Ponce de Leon was located in this room.
-
You gonna go next, THK?
-
He will when he gets to it. Please.... be patient.
-
Hanging from the walls
I can never find half of myself
Find my missing parts
And I'll reveal the way
But I just may release
An unwanted enemy
-
The Chamber of the Sacred Markers?
-
The Chamber of the Sacred Markers?
I'll accept. I was really going for just "The Sacred Markers".
-
I'm gonna pass. I can't think of a riddle right now.
-
Guess I'll go.
Just another empty room
It may look embellished and golden
What you don't know is that there is nothing
It's a downright useless places for souls who pass through
What am I?
-
The Tomb of the Ancient Kings?
-
The Tomb of the Ancient Kings?
Incorrect.
-
The Dungeon?
-
The Treasure Room?
-
The Room of the Golden Idols
-
The Treasure Room?
Now that's correct!
It was an empty room
It had an exquisitely carved treasure chest
There wasn't an objective here
Players could just hit actuators or open the treasure chest, which didn't work that much
-
Ill pass
-
My aim has no risk
Just use one of three
But I will be pissed
Because of something on your teeth
-
The Room of the Secret Password
-
Correct
-
As the ruler of my people
I sit behind the curtain
But it gets very lonely
And in case you were wondering
I have no relation to the man
With the Golden Stallion
-
The Very Tall Turban of Ahmed Baba?
-
The Very Tall Turban of Ahmed Baba?
Correct.
Ahmed Baba sat behind a curtain while he was speaking with people
Ahmed Baba has no relation to Ali Baba
-
I'll pass.
-
So will I.
-
What's with the shock?
-
I don't know what the shock was for, but I guess I'll just take my turn anyway.
It's so lonely being on the bottom
My room's objective will have you looking at the top
As to where you should go, I happen to know
However, without something important
It's up to you to know where to go
-
The Laser Light Room?
-
...No. :(
-
Hint: THK was very close.
-
The Tomb of the Headless Kings?
-
Correct. I was surprised you didn't get it the first time.
It's so lonely being on the bottom (kings at the bottom level of the temple)
My room's objective will have you looking at the top (watch the bones fall from the ceiling)
As to where you should go, I happen to know (once completed, they open a door)
However, without something important (the head)
It's up to you to know where to go (player must look around for an open door)
-
Continue!
-
He's probably busy. However, because of the 24 hour rule, anyone can go. GMW, would you like to go?
-
Yeah, I'll pass.
-
I got nothing, so I'll pass.
-
Time to revive this game.
No way up or down
Only side-to-side
Inside this room
Three beings reside
One of royalty
Two of no such grace
Only one lets you pass
If you match his place
-
The Room of the Ancient Warriors?
-
The Jester's Court?
-
The Jester's Court?
That's the right one.
-
Ill pass.
-
I pass too.
-
I guess I'll go again:
Use our secret map
To find our nose ring
Watch for our assassin
With his ruby earring
We couldn't find the eye
Because we lost our man
And it appears we also lost
Our secret battle plan
What am I?
-
A Silver Snake.
-
A Silver Snake.
Correct. Everything in that riddle is a reference to a Silver Snake temple run. Specifically:
The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen
The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe
The Ruby Earring of bin-Zibab
The Missing Eye of David
The Secret Battle Plan of Nathan Hale
-
I'll pass.
-
So will I.
-
Geez. I might as well take over this game full-time.
In the Temple
Two kids thought
They'd find this treasure
From Angkor Wat
But they weren't fast
And took too long a path
And so they faced
The destroyer's wrath
What is the treasure?
-
The Stolen Arm of Shiva
Only because you brought the episode up in the Spam thread. :mrorange:
-
The Stolen Arm of Shiva
Only because you brought the episode up in the Spam thread. :mrorange:
Correct.
-
A silk woven by mother nature's most feared creature,
locked in a vault full of symbols is where this fine silk is featured.
A challenger tried to scam their way to a token of protection,
only to be kidnapped by the guardians of the labyrinths.
-
The Silk Sash of Mulan?
-
On the right track, but not quite I was looking for. A good guess though. :mrblue:
-
The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce
-
The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce
That's correct!
The Golden Spider Web was woven by a spider, a creature who many people fear.
It was located in the Chamber of the Sacred Marker.
Jeremy cheated in his temple game which cost his team a half-pendant (even though I think it was an honest mistake).
As a result, the run ended in triple capture.
-
So will I.
Then don't post.
Anyway, here's another. It's q bit vague, but it just came from the top of my head.
My partner was better than me
But I was chosen to go first
With that nasty blunder
I was expecting the worst
Who knew that the artifact's location
Was a contrast to my height
I may have made some wrong turns
But I knew I could win this fight.
Who am I?
-
The Broken Wing of Icarus
-
Nope
-
Hard one. Is it Miriam from "The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen"?
-
Incorrect.
I'll post a hint after a few guesses.
-
Jennifer from "The Belly Button of Buddha"?
-
Nope. I suppose a hint is necessary.
Hint: I ranked this player.
-
Tarrah from "The Milk Bucket of Freydis"?
-
Yup. And considering how vague the riddle was, I'll explain.
My rankings showed Chris was better than Tarrah.
She fell into the Pit with little time left.
She's short and ironically the Bucket was at the very top of the Temple.
She went into the wrong room after completing the Monkey.
She won.
-
I'll pass.
Inb4GMWsaysthesamething
-
Well, I already posted, so I'll let others go.
-
Guess i'll go.

Correct.
The crown was adorned by water lilies
The crest was originally toads as said in the legend
The Orange Iguanas moved along the top floor of the temple
Katie got completely distracted in the Chamber of the Sacred Markers
-
Bump.
-
Give me a minute, I will think of one...
-
Give me a minute, I will think of one...
Isn't it RJF's turn though?
-
Bump.
Someone has obviously listened.
-
Do you have a new riddle?
-
A foliage created from a natural vegetation from the east,
residing in a once use to be quagmire.
A labyrinth comprised of thin stalk beelining the entire space,
holding a severed piece belonging to an idol with multiple appendages.
-
Do you have a new riddle?
Oh boy, here we go again.
-
The Stolen Arm of Shiva?
-
A foliage created from a natural vegetation from the east,
residing in a once use to be quagmire.
A labyrinth comprised of thin stalk beelining the entire space,
holding a severed piece belonging to an idol with multiple appendages.
The Bamboo Forest?
-
The Stolen Arm of Shiva?
That's what I was about to say!
-
The Bamboo Forest was the correct answer I was looking for.
I guess the Stolen Arm of Shiva was correct in a way, but that was only referring to the last line of the riddle. But a very good guess though.
Here is the explanation of the riddle:
The Bamboo Forest was made up of bamboo, which can be found in Asian countries in the east.
The Bamboo Forest takes over for the Swamp. (Olmec even called it the Bamboo Swamp once.)
The Bamboo Forest was filled with bamboo poles that lined from the floor to the ceiling.
The Stolen Arm of Shiva was located in the Bamboo Forest.
-
Do you have a new riddle?
GMW, you really need to learn some patience. We are not always gonna monitor this topic 24/7. We have warned you about this several times, but you continue to do this. I know this really isn't a rule, but saying "Bump" and "Are you going or not" is not only unnecessary, it's rude. Please be more considerate of others.
-
Pass.
-
I guess I shall go again. :mryellow:
A wealth once belonging to a figure cloaked as a different gender,
once resting in a sanctum of a broken simian.
Now overlooked in a sanctuary of a pyre,
before being bungled by a lost soul descending a dangerous trail.
-
The Broken Trident of Poseidon?
-
The Lost Lion Tail of Little John
-
Good guesses, but none of them are correct.
I will give you a hint - the second line refers to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.
-
The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen
-
Not the Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen.
Another hint - the last line refers to a poor temple exit during the run
-
It has to be The Broken Wing of Icarus
-
Unfortunately, its not Icarus either.
I think I made the riddle a little too hard or perhaps I made it too incomprehensible. One more hint:
The first line refers to a historic female figure who dressed like a male and joined a group of pirates
-
The Treasure of Anne Bonny
Now I understand what the riddle was talking about. It makes sense, but we were all looking at it the wrong way.
-
A sanctuary of pyre should have been a giveaway....
-
The Treasure of Anne Bonny is correct!
Here is the explanation:
- Anne Bonny disguised herself as a male to join the group of pirates.
- The Treasure of Anne Bonny was once located in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey in earlier season one.
- The Treasure of Anne Bonny was lated located in the Room of Three Torches.
- Ron's exit plan in the temple was very poor and resulted in a loss.
-
Next riddle:
Find my in my lair
To make the doors go ajar
It may seem there are three
But two are false alarms
I once owned footwear
For a criminal's steed
And a makeshift helmet
The owner no longer needs
And a talisman of a man
Whose people were freed
-
The Tomb of the Ancient King
-
The Tomb of the Ancient King
Incorrect.
-
The Viper's Nest?
There were 3 pots, but one had the snake that opened the door.
The Silver Horseshoe of Butch Cassidy was hidden there. (Foot wear for a steed)
The Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Applessed was hidden there. (It was a makeshift helmet)
The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata was hiidden there. (I may be wrong, but i think his people were freed)
-
The Viper's Nest?

The Silver Horseshoe of Butch Cassidy was hidden there. (Foot wear for a steed)
The Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Applessed was hidden there. (It was a makeshift helmet)
The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata was hiidden there. (I may be wrong, but i think his people were freed)
Perfect explanation. That is correct.
-
I'll pass. I fail at making riddles.0
-
I'm going with a new riddle!
I am a disembodied body part
I owned the murky concoction where unfortunate souls can drown
The duo who were granted a try to salvage me were the color of a fruit
Albeit the fact that I was not saved, the mortals assembled the simians' statue
-

- The hand belonged to a King.
- The hand was found in the Dark Forest
- The Blue Barracudas were the color of a fruit, a blueberry in this case.

Also incorrect, but this artifact was on the same production day as this episode.
-
The Melted Head of Madame Tussaud?
-
The Melted Head of Madame Tussaud?
Correct!
-
Pass. I'm not good with riddles.
-
Anybody?
-
Someone on the forum is obsessed with me
To the point of screaming part of my name
Good thing the admins made him leave
Because I'm tired of his childish game
I'm also either one of the best
Or one of the more overrated wins
With such fast players in this simple test
It's hard to tell, even by other's kin.
Sorry, but there were very little rhyming words.
-

-
I wasn't referring to a member, I was referring to something else.

Scared of things that wear feathers
Jump and run away!
It's a player.
-

Due to limited targets.
-
The Silver Cannonball of Grandy Nanny?
-
TDE, it seems very vague.
-
The Silver Cannonball of Grandy Nanny?
No, that is not correct!
TDE, it seems very vague.
Remember, the riddle contains the words "us" and "we", indicating that there is more than one of the thing I'm eluding to.
-
The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain?
-
The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain?
Incorrect.
Remember, I've given you the clue that the thing I'm talking about is NOT THE ONLY thing of its kind on Legends.
I will give a secondary clue if he next guess is wrong.
-
The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte?
-
The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte?
Wrong.
Second clue: Not an artifact.
-

Clue #3:
All of these things that I'm eluding to have the exact same size, shape, and density.
-
The Royal Gongs?
-
The Treasury of the Golden Orbs?
-
Both Incorrect.
I'm going to reveal the answer after the next wrong guess.
-
Half pendants?
-
Half pendants?
And that's the last incorrect answer.
The Correct answer was the Cannonballs from the "Shoot the Warriors/Soldiers" Temple game.
1. There are more of us than meets the eyes
2. Even though we all were just in disguise,
3. We had more misses than hits,
4. Due to limited targets.
1. Describes the fact that there are a lot of them
2. The cannonballs were disguised kickballs
3. The contestants had more misses than hits during the temple games
4. Because of the fact that each team had only 4 Warriors/Soldiers to shoot at.

We haven't had a new riddle in a while, so let me see if I can bring this back from the dead:
An ornament masking a passage to the depth,
holding precious wealths from a prestige kin vanquished by foreign excursionists.
One who chooses to penetrate this sanctuary will end up with disappointment,
only a single traveler meandering through its prized possession was granted entrance into its bottoms.
Who am I?

The Golden Stallion of Ali Baba?
-
Not the Golden Stallion of Ali Baba
-
Did stuff get deleted?
-
Did stuff get deleted?
Yeah, TSM deleted some of the data base unfortunately.
-
I'm gonna have to re-enter my guess for this then....
The Treasure Chest in the Treasure Room
It's a treasure chest,
It holds treasure,
Whenever kids try it, it never works,
The kid from "The Moccasins of Geronimo" was the only one that was able to pass through it.
-
Oh shoot, I forgot that this riddle had been answered before the database went up in smokes. TempleFan322, you are correct again just like last time! :mrblue:
You can go if you want. ;)
-
I have two eyes,
But you only get one,
If you don't have my full face,
Best be on the run.
Keep YOUR eyes out,
Looking about,
For if you lose,
Its only cause of time ran out.
What am I?
-
The Half-Pendant of Life?
I have two eyes,
The pendant has Olmec depicted on it and Olmec has two eyes
But you only get one,
Only one player at least can have a full pendant
If you don't have my full face,
Best be on the run.
If you have only a half-pendant, you are at risk for getting triple captured.
Keep YOUR eyes out,
Looking about,
You have to keep your eyes open in the temple as the half-pendant is lying there somewhere.
For if you lose,
Its only cause of time ran out.
Losing with a half-pendant means your run ended in triple capture.

Dead on.... Dead on.

Since this was almost lost, I shall revive!
They have tried, except for the legless
But no one reached, much less completed
Thus I remain undefeated.
-
The Dungeon?
-
nope
-
Anyone else? :(
-
The Dark Forest?
-
Nope. Here it is again:
They have tried, except for the legless
But no one reached, much less completed
Thus I remain undefeated
Small hint from the guesses so far: Think bigger
-
I'm probably dead wrong still, but is it The Treasure Chest in the Treasure Room?
-
The Throne Room?
-
Nope to both. Again, think bigger...
Three guesses left.
-
The Room of the Golden Idols?
-
2 guesses
-
The King's Storeroom?
-
Nope. One guess left.
Think carefully now...
-
I've got nothing! lol. Anybody else?
-
The Swamp perhaps?
-
That's the last guess, and it was incorrect.
I said think bigger! The answer was:
Temple Layout 5 of Season 1
They have tried, except for the legless
The Silver Snakes were the only team not to run this layout
But no one reached, much less completed
Thus I remain undefeated
Not a single team that ran the layout won, nor even collected the artifact.
Was I maybe to vague? lol
-
I never thought that would be the answer. :o :mrred:
But looking back now, it makes sense.
But that was a pitiful temple layout indeed. None of those episodes or runs are any good in any sense. My least favorite set of episodes on the entire show.
-
Very good. I thought it was just gonna be a single room that only the Snakes or Baracudas at least got the object.
-
I suppose I will try a new one:
A decoration once vaulted on a lounge for men of prestige,
now one must seek to illuminate the color of purity in order to open the way.
A snapshot of the innocence of an indignant vixen once hanged proudly,
marking the first feat of a soul reaching the treacherous bottom.
-
Sounds like the lower shaft room (below the Heart Room)
-
Sounds like the lower shaft room (below the Heart Room)
You are definitely on the right track, but I am looking for something more specific. ;)
-
Laser Light Room?
A decoration once vaulted on a lounge for men of prestige, (Originally The Throne Room)
now one must seek to illuminate the color of purity in order to open the way. ("Unleash the power of the special white laser....")
A snapshot of the innocence of an indignant vixen once hanged proudly, (Priceless Portrait of the Polynesian Girl was hidding in it)
marking the first feat of a soul reaching the treacherous bottom. (Silver Snakes were the first team to grab an object from the that area of the Temple)

100% correct! :mrred:

I had a riddle set in my mind,
But my mind got lost in the Temple,
I think near a Shrine.
I can't remember the Room,
But here is a fact.
An articaft was never retrieved from there,
And it stopped a team from a hat.
Where is my mind?
-
The Heart Room?
-
Sorry, not The Heart Room
-
Is your mind in the Well?
-
Is it the Lightning Ball Room?
The "hat" could refer to the Crown of Queen Nzinga, which was never reached...
-
Sorry and sorry, its not The Lightning Ball Room or The Well
-
Just to give a small hint; Someone is on the right track with their guess
-
The Dungeon?
-
Sorry, not The Dugeon
-
Just 15 minutes to 24 hours. Close enough! I'm guessing again!
I hope I get this right. I just got another good riddle in my mind. 8)
Anyway, is your mind in the Viper's Nest?
-
Well, the "Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata" was retrieved from the Viper's Nest so I don't know if that fits.
Is it the Dark Forest?
-
FFFFFFFFFFFFF...
I think TRJ's right. >.>
-
Mr. TRJ, that is correct.
I had a riddle set in my mind,
But my mind got lost in the Temple,
I think near a Shrine. (The Dark Forrest is right below the Shrine)
I can't remember the Room,
But here is a fact.
An articaft was never retrieved from there,
And it stopped a team from a hat. (Ever since The Tomb of the Ancient Kings changed to the Forrest, no one ever got an artifact from there, and the "hat" was indeed the Crown of Queen Nzinga, as the "Temple Spirits" ended the run.)

The Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart?

It wouldn't happen to be the Harmonic Convergence's actuators would it?
-
Goody! Another guess! :3
It wouldn't happen to be the Harmonic Convergence's actuators would it?
Not that either. ;)
HINT: The riddle has nothing to do with the Room of Harmonic Convergence. ;)
-
The Room of Royal Gongs?
-
The Room of Royal Gongs?
Correct!
A melody overlooking the access of entry,
The Room of the Royal Gongs overlooked the entrance to the temple.
overtaking a space full of statues of evil and malice.
It went ahead and replaced the Room of Three Gargoyles
Playing the correct melody grants one into the depths of the labyrinth,
You have to press the correct gong to move on in the temple.
only the wise shall try all of the beats.
You should always press all three gongs in order to make sure no other door will open.
TempleFan322 is now up!

How was Harmonic Convergence on the right track then?? :?

I know Radman said he had a good riddle, so he can take my turn and post his.

Was hidden in the Holes of Python, describing the Headdress itself.
But viridian apes in a confident mood

David of the Green Monkeys retrieved the Headdress from it.
I had waaaaay too much fun making this riddle. X3

But I fell deep into the Earth's crust.
The legless saved me,

Lol it took me a day to actually think through this. :P
Is it Galileo's Cannonball?
-
Galileo's Cannonball is correct!
From atop a tower we fell,
But I fell deep into the Earth's crust.
The legless saved me,
After a drop and a rush.
(The Legend talked about Galileo dropping 2 cannonballs off the Leaning Tower of Pisa,
1 of the Cannonballs was in The Mineshaft.
The Silver Snakes made it to the Temple,
Jammin' John dropped the cannonball on the floor of the Cave of Sighs and raced out for a 1 second win.)

-
Every day I rose and fell,
at Kirk's command and by Olmec's will.
Those with pendants may pass,
even though they may not last.
-
Is it the temple gate?
-
That is Correct!
(Every day I rose and fell,
at Kirk's command and by Olmec's will.)
Kirk would tell Olmec to lower his gate, and it would be reset for the next taping.
(Those with pendants may pass,
even though they may not last.)
Only those who had proven themselves worthy, and thus had pendants, could pass the gate.
However, there was no certainty of their time in the temple. (eg. Walking Stick and Mummified Hand)

We came as a pair, that you could see.
From outside our home, we look like a catastrophe.
We don't swim, as we hate water.
But with us, some didn't bother.

"Polynesian Girl" is correct! :mrsilver:
A depiction of a lass in her natural beauty,
The girl in the picture resembles a Polynesian in her natural habitat. And of course, she is naked too. :P
two parties are granted a second opportunity.
Both Chris/Janet (Emiliano Zapata) and Jim/Kristen (Imperial Purple Robe) appeared in earlier episodes before returning to Polynesian Girl.
The prize is captured by a master who encompasses the necessary skills,
Kristen was an artist, and was the one that grabbed the artifact, which was a painting.
being the first to accomplish something before them that was left unfulfilled.
This episode marked the first time a bottom of the central shaft artifact was grabbed. :mrsilver:

Teams competed over a tropical artifact.
[How could such an old artifact stay in tact?]
After a tiebreaker, the winners lost.
Entering ten (or eleven?) rooms was a great cost.
-
Sounds like Kamehameha?
-
Yes!
Teams competed over a tropical artifact.
[How could such an old artifact stay in tact?]
The artifact came from Hawaii in the early 1800s.
After a tiebreaker, the winners lost.
Tina and Robbie won their 1-pendant tie breaker, but then lost in their run.
Entering ten (or eleven?) rooms was a great cost.
The team ended up entering every room en route to the artifact, but the awkward temple guard capture in the Dungeon/Tomb of Ancient Kings makes it hard to determine if they "really" entered 10 or 11 rooms. Having entered every room with less than 2 pendants, it was inevitable that the run would end in triple capture.

A dismantled piece of furniture belonging to royalty,

A young hero striving to follow the champion ways of a kin before him,
Levi Turney was the younger brother of Zac Turney, who won in the production day before him (Bandit Queen).
tragically losing to a test meant for the dim.
The Purple Parrots lost a ridiculously easy tiebreaker.

I have to continue this. Just like the "Name That Show" thread, I like this game too.
Royalty was upset the artifact fell,
Knocked her servant into the water and left saying "Oh well".
One last clue before we're done,
Isn't it ironic that this team won?

Snake Bracelet of Cleopatra

Snake Bracelet of Cleopatra
Correct!

Oh I was quite pissed,

Most of those who entered ran by,
But I'm happy 2 gave me a try.
