Title: Iterview With "Tiffani"
Post by: Notundercovercop327 on May 10, 2009, 07:57:35 AM
I know it was a while back, but does anyone else think that that interview with Tiffani from the helmet of sir gawain was total Bullshit?

"Totalfuckinlootly a lie" (LOL) was my choice. I agree outer space, coming across her interview through an old link a few days ago, I thought her interview was BS too. It just seemed like in her interview, she was teling us her life story rather than her experience on legends. Besides, back when that interview was conducted, her full episode was one of the very few that was availabe on YouTube at the time. All the other interviews seemed real, while with "Tiffani," it just seemed like some poser trying to pass as her with a fake story. Sorry, but I just didn't believe that was truly her. =/

My complaint was that this person knew things about this episode that I a person had who had seen the episode 10 times didn't know. How the hell do you know about the hidden half pendant of life? Obvously this person watched the episode 80 million times before writing the interview. What do the rest of you think.

Well, I feel like an idiot for once thinking it was real.  The fact that she didn't get it right about the number of what episode she was in is evidence against it (at least Elise got it right, for example).

But yeah, looking back, the interview was too much like a first-person commentary.  I don't think enough of what was going on in her head was actually there.

I probably should update the site somehow to match this...

You might find it interesting to know that I was the one who originally conducted the interview with "Tiffani," but I never posted it to the website because it didn't pass my BS Sniff Test. It's good to see that my hunch is supported by you guys.

I remember you saying that somewhere else on the forum. Now we know its fake. Tiffani just wrote up her story sent it in without any prior contact. Plus there is no record of a Tiffani Milford existing outside that interview. Case Closed, bring in the dancing lobsters.

Plus, in a legends interview, wouldn't the webmaster ASK the questions to the contestant rather than say nothing and let him/her ramble on about his/her personal life? Oh yeah, that interview WAS definately fake, like yall have been saying.

Two things that will always stay in my mind about this interview. One, Someone, one of us, went out of there way to write this for no good reason. Two, even though it didn't fool us, It fooled one of the main forunners of the Legends Community, JaminJon Plez. He was the one who first posted the interview.

Not to mention, he took screencaps of the episode and posted her temple run on YouTube. And of course, there were no questions or answers on the interview. It was just "Tiffani" practically writing a biography about hersef.

At least it wasn't as bad as the "Joel Simmons" interview I got about a year after starting my site. I and long-time fans of TKS will always be scarred by the rampant poor grammar and spelling issues within it. The guy who posed as Joel eventually fessed up with the explanation that he didn't think I'd answer his questions via e-mail unless he was worth my time. An interesting approach...

What I did for the Tiffani incident and all interviews afterward was ask for a picture of the contestant's t-shirt distributed on the show, or if that was unavailable, a picture of the contestant with a hand-drawn sign reading "Legends" visible within the frame. The "Tiffani" poser couldn't produce either. The approach isn't entirely foolproof, but it's a lot better than absentmindedly posting what people send in. Hopefully it has helped keep my site's credibility fairly high.

I've actually received a few additional interviews for the site, but I've chosen not to post them, just because I don't want to go through the hassle of verifying each of them. They usually make it to Aaron's site anyway. I'm just getting lazy when it comes to Legends. The obsession sort of came and went. Now I'm just keeping my site open to help others relieve their childhoods in the same way I did.

Yeah, like the interview with Heather from, "Snowcone of Mt. Kilimanjaro" made its way to Aaron's site a few months ago, and one of the tape trading dudes interviewed the REAL Joel not too long ago either. And both those interviews seemed real too. It'd be interesting reading yet another interview from another contestant, I like reading about the audition process and some of the behind the scenes stuff. But anyways yeah, Tiffiani's interview wasn't real and....thats not cool.

Hey Nick, If you ever get anyone who claims to be a contestant, you could send them my way if you want. I've done a few Takeshi's Castle interviews if you need to see my work. I'd love to interview a Legends Contestant.

Agreed 100%.

If I could just choose any one real contestant to interview out of all the ones out there, I'd want someone from the beginning or ending of a season.  I'd probably want to talk with Sabrina from "Blackbeard's Treasure Map" (I'm convinced that episode we saw is the actual pilot, not a redone ep with the same name as I think the theory was passed around some time) to see how the show actually started up.

There was an interview with Heather from the Snow Cone ep? I must've missed that one.

Yeah, right here: http://geocities.com/bluebarracudas123/Heather_Interview.html (http://http://geocities.com/bluebarracudas123/Heather_Interview.html)
^ There was a topic started about it in the Treasure Room, just nobody ever responded to it.

I'd also like to interview Sabrina as well, just to get the full story on what really happened when her episode was filming. Or, maybe an interview with one of the kids from, "The Golden Cup of Belshazzar."

I have 3 questions (color coded):
Ed, I've NEVER seen the "Tiffani" OR "Joel" interviews before, can you PLEASE provide me with URL's to those interviews, or copies of them via email if you took them down? (I want to see them so I can judge them for myself)

Ed, if you need someone to go through the painstaking verification process for interviews, then why haven't you asked me if I'd do it? I'd represent TKS and report my findings to you. (Because GOD AND YOU BOTH KNOW that LEGENDS is still strong in my MIND, HEART, AND SOUL)[/size]

PPF, can you PLEASE provide me with a link to the REAL Joel's interview, so that I may read it?

Sure, here it is: (the real Joel)
http://www.angelfire.com/planet/rinkerman/interview4.html (http://www.angelfire.com/planet/rinkerman/interview4.html)

and here's the interview from "Tiffani"
http://www.angelfire.com/hiphop/thesilvermonkey/tiffani.htm (http://www.angelfire.com/hiphop/thesilvermonkey/tiffani.htm)

If you compare those two interviews, you can totally tell which one is more real.

As I was always curious about reading the interviews that one would have to proofread to see if it's real or not, I wonder if it would be okay if you could post them here. I'm not sure you would approve for a reason, but I would really like to personally read them, mostly for curiosity.

Remember, I was thirteen when I started the site. Even then, the interview looked fishy, but I fell victim to my desire to post new material on the site. It's safe to say that I've learned a lot since then.

As it turns out, the guy who wrote that interview apologized a few days afterward and admitted that the only reason he wrote it is because he thought I wouldn't reply to his e-mail unless he was important to me.

Another huge flaw in the tiffani interview. She claims that all of the sound effects and music were live, If you know anything about television (obviously this person does not) you know that any sound effect or music is added later on to prevent audio glitches cuts in the tape.

A couple years ago, there was a Legends pre-post tape on eBay, without any sound effects.  I did not notice this when I read the interview the first time.

I've seen Anonymous' Silver Snakes shirt with the authentic logo on it, as well as Elise's. Zac Turney is well-known and has a copy of the tape Nick sent him. Those three are the ones I have great faith in. I have reason to believe the others hosted on my site (from Katie and Elise) are authentic, too, but I wasn't as vigorous when I accepted those entries as I am now, so I rely on the benefit of the doubt. That's why there's the disclaimer on the top of the page explaining that I can't guarantee authenticity.

And in all seriousness, it's a huge waste of time to write a fake interview. I'd like to think that people have better uses of their time, but I've been proven wrong before.

When I did my first takeshi's castle Interview, I was young and stupid so it didn't accour to me that people wouldn't want to talk about something that happend 20 years ago. I called this guy who was on the show and had won some money, We'll call him murray, I had never met him All I knew was that he was the same guy who was a contestant on this show. I introduced myself said "hi, I saw you were on this gameshow in 1988, I'm doing an article would you like to do an interview about your experince."
"Why would you want to do an interivew about that?" he says.
I try explaing that the show had a resergance in the U.K. and it is really popular in small audinces. Still very aprhensive, (And how could blame him). He did eventually agree to an interview and he was very nice about sharing his experince. But that interview changed the way I approached people from then on. So yeah it can be intimidating asking these real human beings to talk something that even the people who are close to them don't know about.
