Episode 44px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Torch of Fujiwara no Nobuyori."

"Ah, well one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve that Torch!" Kirk says in response. "Will it be:
"Chris and Jessica of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Alvaro and Stephanie of the Blue Barracudas,
"Mathew and Tamika of the Green Monkeys,
"Justin and Amanda of the Orange Iguanas,
"Brian and Jessica of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Stephen and Jennifer of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they must cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today:
"In front of each team a bridge of Arctic rings has stretched across the Moat.  When I say go, one player from each team will start crawling across the floating rings until he reaches the other side of the Moat.  Then his partner'll start crawling across the bridge of rings til he gets to the other side."
"As soon as the second player steps onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong!" He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.  ARE YOU READY!"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"YEEEEEEEAH," Olmec replies.
"A-ha-hall right," Kirk laughs. "On your marks, get set, GO!"

The first players from each team scramble across the ring bridges at various paces.  Before even twenty seconds have passed, the boy on the Red Jaguars crawls off the end of the bridge and steps onto the deck.  The boy on the Green Monkeys makes it across only a few seconds later, with the boy on the Blue Barracudas on his tail.
?Oh, it?s a tough thing crossing rings!? Kirk says as the girl on the Silver Snakes steps onto the deck, the first players on the Orange Iguanas and Purple Parrots right behind her. ?We?re looking for four teams!? The girl on the Green Monkeys makes it across the bridge fastest, and so she becomes the first player to hit the gong. ?We still need a few more teams,? Kirk says only a couple seconds before the second player on the Blue Barracudas steps onto the deck and hits her team?s gong.  The female Red Jaguar is only about two seconds behind, and at the same time, the boy on the Silver Snakes crawls off the ring bridge to hit his team?s gong as well.
?And that?s it!? Kirk announces, and the camera shows him standing with the Red Jaguars around their lit-up gong. ?Red Jaguars came across the Moat with blazing speed, and they?ll be going on to the Steps of Knowledge, along with the Blue Barracudas?? the camera briefly views each qualifying team? and the Green Monkeys? and the Silver Snakes! The Orange Iguanas and the Purple Parrots gave it a great effort too.  We got a great gift for them for playing? they?re not going away empty-handed? and here?s what it is.? Justin, Brian, Jessica and Amanda will each be receiving a backpack provided by Eastpak.

The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the Torch of Fuji Nobuyori.  Pay attention, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"One of the most deceptive Japanese warlords was Fujiwara no Nobuyori.  He lived in the mid-1100?s, and at that time, there were two emperors fighting for supremacy: Nij? and Go-Shirakawa.  Nobuyori and his friend, Minamoto, supported Go-Shirakawa and did not want Nij? to become emperor of Japan.
"'What?re we gonna do?' Minamoto asked. 'With the Taira family on his side, Nij??s bound to get all the power he needs.'
"'True,' said Nobuyori with a smirk. 'But he can?t get any power from Taira-san if Taira-san doesn?t have any power.'
"Ever the trickster, Nobuyori went in disguise and convinced the Taira clan to leave Kyoto for the weekend and go on vacation.  The next day, Nobuyori and Minamoto led a number of men bearing torches to the abandoned Taira castle.
"'Okay.  It?s now or never.'
"The rebels ran through the palace, setting fire to everything.  The fire soon spread, destroying the homes of many of Nij??s supporters, and as a result, Go-Shirakawa became the undisputed emperor.  Almost everyone escaped from the flames in time, but unfortunately, Nobuyori could not, and his torch ended up in the Temple.  You must find the Torch of Fujiwara no Nobuyori and bring it back here."

"Thank you Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So tell us, where is this Torch of Fujiwara Noyori?"
Olmec replies:
"The Torch of Fujiwara no Nobuyori can be found in the Switch Inferno." The camera zooms in on the Torch leaning on the stage-right wall of the Switch Inferno, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we're now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Was Fujiwara no Nobuyori: Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese??
Mathew buzzes in: ?Japanese.?
?Correct,? Olmec answers.
?Nice job, Green Monkeys, step down,? Kirk says, and the Green Monkeys move down a step. ?Remember, you have to stomp down hard on the marking to ring in.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Was Nobuyori?s friend named: Motto, Minuto, or Minamoto??
After a second of hesitation, Chris rings in: ?Mimanoto???
?Correct,? replies Olmec, and the Red Jaguars move down a step as well.
?It?s a stompin? match,? Kirk comments. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?According to our legend, at that time in Japan?s history there were two emperors.  Was the emperor Nobuyori supported named: Nobunaga, Go-Shirakawa, or Tokugawa??
No one stomps down for a second, but then Stephanie gongs in: ?Tokugawa???
?Incorrect,? Olmec replies.
Mathew hits the marking first: ?Go?Shirakawa???
?You are correct,? replies Olmec, and the Green Monkeys move down another step.
?One more correct response and the Green Monkeys are goin? to the Temple Games,? Kirk explains. ?We need two teams.  Next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?In our legend, was the other emperor named: Nero, Nij?, or Nikko??
Alvaro stomps down first: ?Nij????
?Correct,? answers Olmec, and the Blue Barracudas move down to the second step.
?That Silver Snake can catch up,? Kirk narrates. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?To keep Nij? from becoming the undisputed emperor, Nobuyori had to cut off the power Nij? got from his supporters.  Would he do this by???
Tamika cuts off Olmec this time: ?Um? burning the people?s houses and castles down???
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, and the Green Monkeys move down to the bottom level.
?All right, we?ve got one team going on to the Temple Games!? Kirk announces as Mathew and Tamika high-five on the bottom step. ?We?re still looking for one more team, will it be the Red Jaguars, the Silver Snakes or the Blue Barracudas? Let?s keep going.?
Olmec asks:
?Which of these was a Japanese warrior class that existed in Nobuyori?s time: Zanbat????
Stephanie buzzes in: ?Samurai.?
?That is correct,? Olmec answers, and the Blue Barracudas move down a step.
?Now the Blue Barracudas only need one more correct answer to go to the Temple Games,? Kirk comments. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec continues:
?In our legend, which noble clan did Nobuyori see as the main supporter of Nij????
Stephen gongs in, but blanks out and says nothing before a bell sounds.
?The three choices,? Olmec finishes, ?are Tanaka, Takahashi, or Taira.?
Stephanie buzzes in: ?Taira???
?That is correct!? yells Olmec, and the Blue Barracudas move down onto the bottom step.
?Okay, we got our two teams!? Kirk announces, and he walks up the side of the bottommost Step of Knowledge to stand behind the teams without getting caught in the middle of their celebrating. ?We got the Blue Barracudas and the Silver? I mean, the Green Monkeys! Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes, come down here.? The other teams move down onto the third level to join Kirk. ?These teams gave it a great effort too.  We got a nice gift for them and here?s what it is.? Chris, Jessica, Stephen and Jennifer will each be receiving a copy of the Kingdom Hearts II PlayStation 2 game.
Kirk is now standing between the two qualifying teams on the bottommost level of the Steps of Knowledge. ?These two teams will be playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says. ?Who?ll win? We?ll find out right after this!? The camera switches to a panorama through the Junction of the Secret Shafts from a viewpoint in the middle of the room before fading to commercial.
Title: Rediscovery EP: The Torch of Fujiwara no Nobuyori
Post by: The Ancient Warrior on August 04, 2007, 08:44:46 AM
Kirk is standing in front of the Temple Gate between the two qualifying teams. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now, of course, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, and let?s talk to our two teams.? He turns to his left to talk to the tall black girl just left of center screen. ?On the Green Monkeys, we have Tamika.  How old are you??
?Fourteen,? she replies.
?And I understand you have a big CD collection and you like to dance,? Kirk says. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well,? Tamika says, ?I have about over a hundred CDs, and I?ve been dancing since I was nine.  I?m currently taking ballet.?
?Well you?ll have to show your moves in these Temple Games,? Kirk comments, going to interview the brown-haired boy on the far left of the screen. ?And Mathew, how old are you??
?Thirteen,? he answers.
?Now, I understand you?re on your school?s swim team and you collect coins from around the world,? Kirk says. ?How big?s the collection??
?Probably thirty,? Mathew replies.
?You have a favorite coin?? asks Kirk.
?I?d have to say this $2 coin from Canada,? he explains, ?it?s silver around the edges but gold in the middle.?
?That sounds cool,? Kirk says. ?Let?s hear it for the Green Monkeys!? Mathew and Tamika clap along with the audience as Kirk goes to talk with the brown-haired girl just right of center screen. ?And on the Blue Barracudas is Stephanie. How old are you??
?Thirteen,? she replies.
?And I heard you run track, you like to hang out on the movies with your friends on Saturdays and you write poetry,? Kirk says. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well,? Stephanie explains, ?they?re just these short poems, usually like twelve lines and I always throw a joke in at the last line.?
?Could you share one with us?? Kirk asks. ?Never mind, I?m not sure we?ll have the time.? He goes to interview the boy on the far right of the screen, who has spiky dark hair and slightly tanned skin. ?And Alvaro, how old are you??
?Fourteen,? he replies.
?By the way, did I say that right?? asks Kirk.
?Yeah, it?s al-VAR-oh,? he replies.
?And you play football as a wide receiver, you sometimes go rock-climbing and you want to be an actor,? Kirk reads on the index card. ?What kind of movie do you want to star in??
?One of those? big-action movies, I think,? Alvaro answers.
?Well I bet there?s gonna be a lot of action-packed action in these Temple Games,? Kirk comments. ?Let?s hear it for the Blue Barracudas!? The audience applauds for a moment.

?You guys ready to play?? asks Kirk.
?YEAH!? The players shout as a reply.
?All right! Go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says, and the players walk offscreen. ?In the Temple Games, each team will be competing for these?" he opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "Pendants of Life.  The winning team will need those Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  There are three Temple Games.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec begins:
?Fujiwara no Nobuyori?s strategy was to burn the homes of Emperor Nij??s supporters.  In this game, you won?t actually be burning a building, but you?ll do something similar.  When Kirk gives the signal, grab a flame symbol, jump up, and attach the flame symbol to the ceiling, then come back down.  Then, grab another flame symbol and do it again.
?The first player to attach all the flame symbols to the ceiling? or the player that puts the most flame symbols on the ceiling in 60 seconds? wins.?
The camera fades to Kirk. ?Don?t try this at home,? he says. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Stephanie and Tamika jump up to place the first flame symbols on the ceiling.  Tamika finds the rhythm quickly and places the first symbol on the ceiling with 56 seconds remaining, but Stephanie is not too far behind, getting her first symbol on the ceiling with 54 seconds left.  Tamika has to make two attempts to jump high enough that she stick the next flame symbol to the ceiling, but she gets it up there with 49 seconds left.  Stephanie manages to close the gap a bit in the meantime.
?It?s a challenge,? Kirk comments, ?but I think Tamika can handle it, she dances, she?s graceful!? Tamika manages to keep up a fairly pace throughout the game, with Stephanie trailing.  After 60 seconds have elapsed, a pattern of ceiling spotlights flash to indicate that the game is over.
?Okay, time?s up!? Kirk announces, running over to declare a winner. ?So the Blue Barracudas got six fires on the board, but the Green Monkeys got eight? it?s a whole forest fire! Green Monkeys win a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds for a second. ?The Blue Barracudas can catch up in the next game, it?s worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?Nobuyori and Minamoto would wait in the shadows for a family to leave their home, then take a complicated path to enter the house undetected.  In this game, you must take an indirect route through the bamboo forest to reach a noble home carrying an unlit torch.  When Kirk gives the signal, put your torch behind your head and make your way through the forest.  Whenever you come to two shoots, you must find a way to maneuver between or around them, keeping your torch behind your head and both of your hands on it.
?The first player to leave the bamboo forest? or the player that?s closest to the end after 60 seconds wins.?
?It?s gonna be a squeeze to the finish,? Kirk says as the players place the poles behind their heads. ?Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Alvaro and Mathew head into their respective forests and try to work their way to the end.  Mathew insists on taking slightly more difficult routes than does Alvaro, who, as a result of moving through wider areas, makes it out of the forest with a whole 32 seconds still on the clock.
?It?s it, it?s over quick!? Kirk comments as he runs over to congratulate Alvaro. ?The Blue Barracudas got out first, so that gives them the other half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds again. ?So it?s all tied up, but this last game is worth a full Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3.?

Olmec narrates:
?Nobuyori?s plan to make Go-Shirakawa the undisputed Emperor of Japan was divided into four stages.  On the wall before you are the four stages of Nobuyori?s plan: ?Gather a mob,? ?Knock off Nij??s supporters,? ?Invade the Great Palace,? and ?Overthrow Emperor Nij?.? When Kirk gives the signal, load the slingshot and fire a ball, and your partner will catch the ball and stick it on the first stage.  Once you?ve covered a stage, it means it has been completed, and you can climb up and try to complete the next stage.
?The team that completes all four stages first? or the team that?s further along in 60 seconds? wins.?
?Whoever wins this game goes to the Temple,? Kirk explains. ?And if it?s a tie, we go to a tiebreaker.  Let?s put those 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock then appears onscreen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
The girls launch the balls at their partners, who hopefully would catch them.  After about 20 seconds, each team has two stages covered and is trying to cover ?Invade the Great Palace.? At this point, Stephanie?s aim becomes terrible and the balls fall too far out of Alvaro?s reach, but Mathew manages to catch a ball and stick it on the third target with 24 seconds left.  He moves up to ?Overthrow Emperor Nij?,? and sticks a ball to the target with only seven seconds left.
?That?s it!? Kirk announces, and Mathew and Alvaro jump down using their bungee cords. ?The Green Monkeys followed through Fujiwara?s entire plan first, they get the full Pendant? they?re goin? to the Temple!? Tamika jumps up and down out of excitement, and Mathew claps along with the audience.  Kirk then goes to talk with the Blue Barracudas. ?These guys gave it a great effort too.  I wish I could send both teams into the Temple.  Here?s what we?ve got for them.? Alvaro and Stephanie will each be receiving a $100 U.S. Savings Bond provided by Nestle.
Kirk is now standing with the Green Monkeys near the equipment for the third Temple Game. ?These guys?ll be going to look for that Torch of Fujihara Nobuyuri,? he says, ?and we?re gonna see if they can do it right after this!? A first-person run from the Laser Light Room, across the Bridge and into the Room of Temple Gongs is shown just before the camera fades to commercial.

Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs with his hands on Mathew and Tamika's shoulders. "Welcome back to Legends," he says. "You guys have proven yourselves worthy and now?ve earned the right to enter the Temple.  But first, Olmec?s gonna give you some information to help you retrieve the Torch of Fujiwara Nomoyori."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno, where you can grab the Torch of Fujiwara no Nobuyori.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Dungeon.
?There, climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Dark Overlook, and correctly place all three torches to open the door to the SHRIIIIIIINE? of the Silver Monkey.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, but be careful? one of the suits of armor could be possessed by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you'll have to give up a Pendant of Life! Next, race up to the Laser Light Room, find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Troubled Bridge? the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Room of the Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 1 ? Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"Me," Tamika says in response.
"Very well Tamika," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards? the Torch of Fujiwara no Nobuyori.  Hidden inside the Temple are three shafts which let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as three Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it's Mathew's turn to enter and try his luck.  Hidden somewhere in the Temple is the other half of your Pendant.  If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life.  If you can reach the Torch, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Torch in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how:"
?   First, they?re both going to get an Ultra-Bounce trampoline provided by Bollinger.
?   If they can grab the Torch within three minutes, they?re both going to get a $500 Target gift card.
?   If they can bring the Torch out of the Temple before three minutes is up, they?ll be going to Quebec City!  They?ll be staying for three days at Delta Quebec, with an indoor exercise room, an outdoor heated pool and an underground mall and they?ll be there during the Carnaval de Qu?bec.  Delta Quebec, for a prize package totaling $11,436!

"All right, Quebec City!" Kirk says, excited. "I know they?re gonna love that.  Now, Mathew, what?s your strategy?"
"Well we?re gonna start up," Mathew explains, "go across the top, and climb right down, grab the Torch, and go back through the bottom to get back out."
"Let's see if that works out," Kirk says. "Let?s get Tamika out in front.  Put your mouthpieces in.  Let?s put? the gate down, Olmec!"
Olmec moans as he lowers the gate, and the blue lights on him are turned off.
"Set the clock for three minutes." The clock appears onscreen. "On your mark, get set, GO!"

Tamika immediately races up into the Room of Temple Gongs, only to meet a?
?TEMPLE GUARD! Right off the bat!? Kirk shouts. ?Give ?em your Pendant!? Tamika hands her Pendant of Life to the Guard, then runs to the front of the room and starts banging down on the gongs, starting with the furthest-right one and moving stage-left.  The first three gongs she hits light up blue, purple and green in that order, and the door leading into the Bridge opens.  Tamika runs on through, enters the Laser Light Room and, as she begins to align the sections of the metallic column, is pulled away by the second TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh, go Mathew! Ride like the wind!? Kirk shouts as Mathew passes through the Temple Gate with 2:30 remaining.  He races up through the Room of Temple Gongs, across the Bridge and into the Laser Light Room, then finishes aligning the column. ?He?s got a lot of time, he wanted to go across,? Kirk comments as the dome on top of the Laser Light Room column lights up and Mathew descends into the Dragon?s Lair, ?but now he?s in?? he speaks in a snarling voice here? ?the Dragon?s Lair!? (1:59) Here he grabs the horns from the front of the room one at a time, and begins placing them in the dragon head hanging around the Laser Light Room door.
Once all four horns are in place, a roar is heard, the mystic pattern on the walls glows a bright violet and the door leading into the Knights? Barracks opens.  Mathew crawls on through with 1:31 remaining.  He places the sword in all three sheaths? first the stage-right one, then the middle one and, finally, the leftmost one? before any doors open, but then Mathew runs through into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. (1:10)
?He?s making great time!? Kirk says, Tamika on the edge of her seat. ?And if the right doors opens he?ll only be one room away!?
?Go! GO!? Tamika screams, excitedly jumping up and down as Mathew begins to put together the monkey.  He grabs the base and the middle in one sweep, then goes back for the head.  He doesn?t press down on the head very hard at first, however.
?Jam it down!? Kirk shouts. ?Take the head and jam it down!? Mathew jams the head down into position, and all three doors leading onward open.  He climbs down into the Switch Inferno and, with 51 seconds remaining, grabs the TORCH!
?He?s got it!? Kirk comments as Mathew waits for the door into the Junction of the Secret Shafts to open.
?All the doors are open now!? He jogs across the bottom floor to escape. ?Out through the Room of the Secret Shafts, through the Crystal Cave, the Rock Quarry? 35 seconds!? Mathew reaches the ladder in the Mine Shaft and climbs up one-handed to enter the Crevasse. (0:25) He climbs up into the Room of Temple Gongs, and then races down the stairs from there to pass through the Temple Gate with 10 seconds left!
?He did it!? Kirk announces as Tamika excitedly jumps into Mathew?s arms. ?They did it! Tamika got taken out early, Mathew followed her path and they got the Torch, here it is!? Mathew waves the Torch of Fujiwara no Nobuyori over his head.
?They get it all,? Kirk continues, ?the trampolines, the Target gift cards, and they?re goin? to Quebec City!? Tamika jumps up and down a couple more times. ?But we gotta get outta here.  I don?t wanna, but we have to.  Check us out next time for more adventure and another great Legend of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? Tamika jumps in to hug Kirk, and the camera pans across the audience, runs headfirst through the rock wall in the Dungeon and does an extreme close-up on the Moat as the credits roll.

Temple Run Summary
Episode 44px]

Name of Artifact: The Torch of Fujiwara no Nobuyori
Season: 2
Layout: 2 (6 overall)
Result: Made it!
Time Remaining: 0:10
Team: Green Monkeys
Pendants Won: 1.5
Location of Artifact: The Switch Inferno

This one reminded me of the original show's episode "The Trojan Horseshoe" many ways.  The results were the same? wins with ten seconds left? and they were both achieved by Green Monkey teams who had 1? Pendants, and the artifacts were located in the "gold doors" room.  Not to mention Tamika in this Temple Run looked quite a bit like Lucretia in "The Trojan Horseshoe"...

The main difference was that this Temple Run had a somewhat shorter and easier path than "The Trojan Horseshoe" did, but the room objectives were a tad more time-consuming.  Tamika was taken out just three rooms into the Temple, but with a whopping 2:30 remaining, prompting her partner to rush in.  Mathew kept up a decent pace and thought to take the vertical passage from the Shrine of the Silver Monkey; if he hadn't, this would not have been a win.  He grabbed the Torch with 51 seconds remaining and made it out of the Temple forty-one seconds later.  Overall, it was a rather average win, but what made the episode more enjoyable was some of the most creative camerawork I've ever seen.

Trivia and Records:
This is the first episode in The Rediscovery's history in which an artifact is successfully retrieved from the room located below the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.

I love when you post new episodes of this, I'm never disappointed haha.  I think you kinda inspired me to write my own, but I'm gonna finish a few more episodes before I post it.  Keep up with the great job.   :D

Thank you.

You'll be surprised though: i meant to wait until i had alot more Season 2 episodes finished before i started posting Season 2, but i noticed how impatient members of the forum were getting, so sometimes i just post the next episode as soon as i finish it (like "The Tattered Battle Flag of General Cornwallis, i was missing part of the episode and finished it today.)

Yeah I can imagine people getting impatient- exactly why I'd rather wait till I get a few more episodes done.  That way I'll have a lot that I can post whenever so I can take less time on the later ones.  I've finished three, with four more that are about halfway finished, but coming up with original legends is hard haha
