Episode 38px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Sachem?s Staff of King Philip."

"Oh, the Sachem?s Staff of King Philip!" Kirk says in response. "One of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Sachem?s Staff of King Philip.  Will it be:
"Dennis and Kelly of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Todd and Danielle of the Blue Barracudas,
"Erick and Allison of the Green Monkeys,
"Travis and Brittany of the Orange Iguanas,
"Shane and Erika of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Brandon and Morgan of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "but in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter the Temple.  But first, they must cross the Moat, and here's how they'll do it today:
"In front of each team there's a rod which stretches across the Moat.  When I say go, one player from each team will climb onto the rod and they'll shimmy across on it ?til they reach the other side of the Moat.  That'll be his partner's signal to climb on the rod and shimmy across the Moat too."
"As soon as the second player steps onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will be going on to the Steps of Knowledge.  Hey teams? are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"Let?s get to it!" Olmec replies.
"All right then," Kirk replies. "On your marks, get set, GO!"

The teams all take off at a good pace, but soon the Green Monkeys? and Silver Snakes? first players have a good lead over the other teams.  The girl on the Orange Iguanas is far behind the other teams when the boy on the Silver Snakes climbs off the rod at the other side of the Moat.  The boy on the Red Jaguars and the girl on the Green Monkeys are next to step onto the deck.
?It?s a tight match!? Kirk says as the girl on the Purple Parrots, wearing only her right Aquasock, scrambles off the rod to let her partner start climbing across. ?We?re lookin? for four teams, and right now, it?s anybody?s game!? The boy on the Blue Barracudas and the girl on the Orange Iguanas make it to the other side at the same time.  The girl on the Silver Snakes isn?t quite as fast as her partner, so the boy on the Green Monkeys takes the lead and becomes the first person to bang the gong.  The mist disappears completely as the girl on the Red Jaguars locks into second place and the Purple Parrots grab the third position.  The girl on the Silver Snakes makes it across only a few seconds before the second player from the Blue Barracudas, and she manages to bang her gong to end the game.
?That?s it!? Kirk announces, and the camera shows him standing with the Red Jaguars around their gong. ?Red Jaguars made it across barely any trouble at all.  They?re going on to the Steps of Knowledge, along with the Green Monkeys?? the camera briefly shows each qualifying team? ?and the Purple Parrots? and the Silver Snakes! The Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas gave it a great effort too.  We got a nice gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? Todd, Brittany, Travis and Danielle will each be receiving a small prize package provided by Reebok.
Title: Rediscovery EP: The Sachem?s Staff of King Philip
Post by: The Ancient Warrior on June 05, 2007, 11:35:52 AM
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "The quest continues, and now it?s time for Olmec to tell us about the Sachem?s Staff of King Philip.  But pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec?s Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"One of the problems for settlers in seventeenth-century Massachusetts was Metacomet, or as they called him, King Philip.  He was the son of Massasoit, a Wampanoag sachem, or chieftain, who befriended the Pilgrims in 1621.  At first he wanted to be able to live peacefully among the settlers, so he went by the name Philip and wore European clothes.  But when he the settlers had plans to take the Wampanoags? land, he was outraged.
"'We?re taking their land, will you help us?' asked one man.
"'Take this land?' Philip replied. 'I am the leader of this tribe, and this is our land!'
"'You, the sachem?' the man laughed. 'You who are dressed like a settler? If you won?t help us, step aside!'
"At once, Philip rushed back to the Wampanoag villages, reverted to his Native American life as sachem and, brandishing his staff of power, ordered an attack.  The Wampanoags and the settlers ended up fighting in King Philip?s War, but the war stopped when Philip himself died.  His staff made its way to the Temple.  Your task is to find the Sachem?s Staff and bring it back here."

"Thank you Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend, "but where is this Staff?"
Olmec replies:
"The Sachem?s Staff of King Philip can be found in the Laser Light Room." The camera zooms in on the Sachem?s Staff leaning on the front railing in the Laser Light Room, then fades back to Kirk.

"All right," Kirk begins, walking down the steps. "Teams, you?re now on the Steps of Knowledge.  In a minute, Olmec?s gonna ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you.  If you?re right, you?re gonna move down to the next level, but if you?re wrong or run out of time, I?m gonna give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec?s Temple.  Olmec, we're ready for the first question."

Olmec begins:
?According to our legend, is a Native American chieftain???
Kelly rings in: ?King Philip???
?That is not one of the three choices,? Olmec replies. ?Is a Native American chieftain called a: Sachem, Sultan, or Sapphire??
Brandon hits the marking first: ?Sachem???
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?Nice job, Silver Snakes, step down,? Kirk says, and the Silver Snakes move down onto the second step. ?Remember, you might wanna wait for Olmec to finish the question before you ring in.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Which of these was King Philip?s original name: Massasoit, Metacomet, or Squanto??
After a moment of hesitation, Allison buzzes in: ?Mass? a-soy-it???
?Incorrect,? Olmec replies.
Then Shane gongs in: ?Metal comet???
?Correct,? says Olmec in response, and the Purple Parrots move down one step.
?Good pronunciation!? Kirk remarks. ?We?re looking for the first two teams, it?s pretty much anybody?s game right now.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Did he take the name Philip and wear European clothes because: He wanted to hide himself from his people, He wanted to peacefully live with the settlers???
Erika rings in: ?Uh? he wanted to live mixed in? with the settlers???
?That is correct,? Olmec answers, and the Purple Parrots move down to the third step.
?Purple Parrots now just need one more correct response to move on to the Temple Games,? Kirk explains to the audience. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?In which of these states did King Philip?s tribe live in: Minnesota, Montana, or Massachusetts??
Shane stomps in first: ?Massachusetts.?
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, and the Purple Parrots high-five as they jump down onto the bottommost step.
?The Purple Parrots are now in the Temple Games,? Kirk says as Shane and Erika celebrate, ?but we?re still looking for one more team.  Who?s it gonna be: the Red Jaguars, Green Monkeys, Silver Snakes? Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?King Philip was the sachem of which of these tribes: The Eskimos, The Algonquin, or The Wampanoag??
Allison steps in and slowly answers: ?The Wampa? nogues???
?Correct,? Olmec replies, and the Green Monkeys move down one level.
?Red Jaguars can still catch up,? Kirk narrates. ?Next question, Mr. Olmec.?
Olmec then asks:
?Did King Philip return to the Native American tribe when he heard the settlers???
Allison cuts off Olmec again: ?When they? when the settlers were gonna take his land away???
?That?s close enough for Olmec,? he answers, so the Green Monkeys move down to the third level.
?Green Monkeys are now just one step away from the Temple Games,? Kirk comments. ?Still time for the other teams.  Let?s keep going.?
Olmec does so by asking:
?In our legend, did Philip?s staff: Indicate his right to rule, Double as a weapon, or Help???
Morgan gongs in: ?Right to rule???
?That is correct,? Olmec answers, and the Silver Snakes move down to the third step.
?Next correct response and the Silver Snakes are goin? inside the Temple Games,? Kirk informs the audience. ?Red Jaguars can still catch up.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Philip?s father was Massasoit, who befriended a group of settlers.  Were they???
Brandon jumps in: ?Pilgrims???
?That is correct!? Olmec yells, and the Silver Snakes move diagonally down to stand stage-left of the Purple Parrots on the final step.
?All right, we got our two teams!? Kirk says, walking up the side of the bottom step to stand behind the two qualifying teams. ?We have the Silver Snakes and the Purple Parrots! The rest of you guys come on down here.? The Green Monkeys move in closer and the Red Jaguars move down two steps. ?These guys gave it a great effort too.  Here?s what we?ve got for them.?
Dee reads the consolation prize:
"Look at the entertaining fun you?ll have when you strap on Moon Shoes.  Super excitement is yours when you bounce higher than ever! Don?t leave Earth without Moon Shoes, from Big Time Toys!"
Kirk is now standing behind the Silver Snakes and the Purple Parrots on the bottommost level of the Steps of Knowledge. ?These two teams are playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?and we?re gonna see if they can do it right after this!? The camera zooms out and fades to commercial.

Post by: The Ancient Warrior on June 05, 2007, 11:37:12 AM
Kirk is now standing in front of the Crevasse between the two remaining teams. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s talk to our team players.? He turns to talk to the brown-haired girl just left of the middle of the screen. ?On the Purple Parrots, we have Erika.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? she replies.
?And I understand you like music like Cascada and the Pussycat Dolls,? Kirk says, ?you like swimming and riding your bike, but you?re also into writing.  Tell me about that.?
?Well,? Erika says, ?I?m writing this story about two people from these nations at war and they each go into the other country to try to end the war.?
?Does it have a title yet?? asks Kirk.
?Not yet,? she replies.
?It sounds like it?ll be a good book though,? Kirk comments as he goes to interview the short-haired boy on the far left of the screen. ?And Shane, tell me how old you are.?
?Thirteen,? he answers.
?And I understand you say you like all sports,? Kirk says, ?but do you have a favorite??
?Umm,? Shane replies, ?it?s tough, but I think I can narrow it down to three.?
?And those are??? Kirk asks.
?Football, basketball and soccer,? he answers.
?These guys love sports and music,? Kirk remarks. ?Let?s hear it for the Purple Parrots!? The audience cheers for a second as Kirk goes to talk to the brown-haired girl just right of the middle of the screen. ?And on the Silver Snakes, this is Morgan.  How old are you??
?Twelve,? she replies.
?And I understand you want to be a teacher,? says Kirk. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well,? Morgan explains, ?I wanna be a social studies or a science teacher, mostly social studies.?
?Why?s that?? asks Kirk.
?Well,? answers Morgan, ?they both have a lot to talk about, but I have a better grade in social studies, I can probably? explain it better.? She laughs a little near the end.
?When were the Moors pushed out of Spain?? Kirk quizzes her.
?1492,? Morgan answers.
?I think she?s ready,? Kirk announces as he goes to talk to the brown-haired boy on the far right of the screen. ?And Brandon, how old are you??
?Thirteen,? he replies.
?And you?re into football and skateboarding,? Kirk reads on the index card in front of his face. ?Tell me about that.?
?Yeah,? Brandon replies, ?I?m a wide receiver, and as for skateboarding, I?ve been doing that for two years, best tricks are the 360 Heelflip and the Rocket Air.?
?These guys sound like a smart team,? Kirk comments. ?Let?s hear it for the Silver Snakes!? Brandon and Morgan clap along with the audience.

?All right, you guys ready to play?? asks Kirk.
?YEAH!? The players shout in unison.
?Then go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says, and the players walk offscreen. ?The Temple Games, teams are competing for these Pendants of Life.? He opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera. ?They?ll need those Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they go through the Temple.  There?s three Temple Games, and Olmec will tell us about the first one.  Olmec!?

Olmec begins:
?King Philip had to arm the Wampanoag people and prepare them for the colonial war.  In this game, you must grab the heads for four Native American spears.  When Kirk gives the signal, crawl to the first cube, grab the first spear head, then crawl back with it and place it on the end of one of the spears.  Then, go back to get the next spear head.  Along the way you must try to avoid the swinging sandbags.  If you?re hit, you?ll have to go back and start again.?
?The first player to place a head on each of their four spears? or the player that?s assembled the most spears in 60 seconds? wins.?
The camera fades to Kirk. ?I think they used to make spears just like this,? he says. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?And let?s get the sandbags back in position and start swinging them.? The spotters do just that. ?On your marks, get set, GO!?
Morgan and Erika both take off at a good pace, grabbing their first spear heads and also making it back with them at almost the exact same time.  On the second time, however, Erika gets hit by a sandbag right after she reaches the second spear head, with :45 left.
?This game?s tough,? Kirk says as Morgan grabs the second spear head and slowly heads back. ?It takes good timing and concentration.? With 34 seconds left, Morgan puts the second head on a spear as Erika heads out to the first cube for the fourth time.  Morgan, however, is hit early on the next time, whereas Erika finally makes it back with the second spear head.  Both get hit a few more times by the swinging obstacles before a pattern of ceiling spotlights flash to indicate that the game is over.
?Okay, that?s it!? Kirk announces, running over to count the scores. ?Looks like Purple Parrots got three spears put together, but Silver Snakes also got three spears put together! It?s a tie? they each get a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds for a second. ?It?s all tied up.  The next game is worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.?

Olmec continues:
?In King Philip?s time, England was still developing several colonies on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.  In this game, you will claim a territory on the other side of a much smaller ocean.  When Kirk gives the signal, sail out from the dock and, without touching the water, jump out to plant the flag on the island.  Then, sail back and run back up the dock.
?The first player to mount their flag and get both feet on the dock? or the one that?s furthest along after 30 seconds? wins.?
?All right, let?s set that clock for 30 seconds,? says Kirk, and the clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set, GO!?
?There they go! Bon voyage!? Kirk shouts as Brandon and Shane head out from the dock and go right out to the islands at the same pace.  They mount the flags at almost the same time, then head right back to the dock.  The game is very close, but Brandon gets back to Kirk only two seconds before Shane.
?That?s it!? Kirk shouts. ?It was close, but the Silver Snakes got the flag down and got back here first, giving them another half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds again. ?So now Silver Snakes have one full Pendant, Purple Parrots have a half, we go to the third and final game, it?s worth a full Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec narrates:
?Unfortunately for King Philip, in the war, the American colonists took down a vast number of Wampanoags.  In this game, however, you only need to take down four.  When Kirk gives the signal, lob a cannonball at one of the warriors on the wall.  Then you partner will place a cannonball in the slingshot and aim at the warriors on the wall.
?The first team to knock down all four warriors ? or the team who?s knocked over the most warriors in 60 seconds? wins.?
?This means war,? Kirk comments. ?Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock then appears in the corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Cannonballs bounce off the gongs and splash into the Moat.  The first target is knocked down by the Purple Parrots with 40 seconds remaining.  The Silver Snakes finally knock one over with only 23 seconds to go, and then only a couple more are knocked over near the end of the game.  The ceiling spotlights flash when the clock reaches zero, and Kirk runs back onscreen from the camera-left side to declare the winner.
?Okay, let?s count ?em up!? Kirk says. ?The Purple Parrots knocked down two warriors, the Silver Snakes knocked down two warriors, it?s a tie? they both get the full Pendant!? The audience applauds. ?So that gives the Purple Parrots a Pendant and a half, but that gives the Silver Snakes two Pendants? they?re goin? to the Temple!? Brandon and Morgan high-five a couple times as Kirk goes to talk to Shane and Erika. ?The Purple Parrots gave a gallant effort.  We got a great gift for them and here?s what it is.? Shane and Erika will each be receiving a copy of the Teen Titans Game Boy Advance video game.
Kirk is now standing in front of the equipment for the third Temple Game between Brandon and Morgan. ?Now we?re gonna see if the Silver Snakes can make it through the Temple and retrieve King Philip?s Staff,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera races across the stage, veering around the Temple Games equipment and zooming in on the Dungeon before fading to commercial.
Title: Rediscovery EP: The Sachem?s Staff of King Philip
Post by: The Ancient Warrior on June 05, 2007, 11:38:44 AM
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs with his hands on Brandon and Morgan's shoulders. "Welcome back," he says to the camera before turning around to talk to Olmec. "Olmec!" he shouts. "The Silver Snakes have proven themselves worthy and earned the right to enter your Temple.  Can you offer them some clues about the Temple to help them retrieve the Sachem?s Staff of King Philip?"
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Dungeon.
?There, climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Dark Overlook, and correctly place all three torches to open the door? to the Shrine? of the Silver Monkey.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, but be careful? one of the suits of armor could be possessed by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you'll have to give up a Pendant of Life! Then, race up to the Laser Light Room, where you can grab the Sachem?s Staff of King Philip.  Find the right combination that will unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Room of the Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 2 Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am," Brandon answers.
"Very well, Brandon," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Sachem?s Staff.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts which let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can give your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Morgan's turn to enter and try her luck.  If you can reach the Staff, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Staff in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how:"
?   First, they?re both going to get a Schwinn Mesa mountain bike.
?   If they grab the Staff within three minutes, they?re also going to get an Ultra-Bounce trampoline from Bollinger.
?   And if they can get the Sachem?s Staff out of the Temple before three minutes is up, they?ll both be going to St. Martin! The Golden Tulip St. Martin beach resort has its own private beach, water polo, and all the amenities of Golden Tulip International.  Golden Tulip International, for a prize package totaling $11,700!

"All right, St. Martin, sounds good!" Kirk says, excited. "So, Brandon, let?s get you out in front.  Put your mouthpieces in.  Olmec, lower your gate."
Olmec moans as he lowers the Temple Gate, and the blue lights on him are turned off.
"And let's set the clock? for three minutes." The clock appears onscreen. "On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There into the Temple he runs! Up into the Gong Room!? Kirk shouts Brandon races up the stairs into the Room of Temple Gongs and begins to slam down on the gongs, going from the one furthest right and going stage-left.  The fifth one he hits lights up white, and the doors open.  Brandon then races onto the Bridge and runs across, only to find out that the door leading directly into the Laser Light Room won?t open. (2:33) After looking around for a second, he heads back into the Room of Temple Gongs and descends into the Crevasse.
?I guess he?s gotta go south now!? Kirk remarks as Brandon climbs down.  He uses the upper crawl tube to enter the Mine Shaft and begins to pile rocks in the bucket. (2:17) After he drops the sixth rock in the bucket, the stone slab covering the door into the Crystal Cave opens.  With 2:02 remaining, Brandon crawls through into the Crystal Cave, where in the corner of the room lurks the first TEMPLE GUARD!
?Woah! Temple Guard!? Kirk remarks as Brandon hands over his Pendant. ?He?s a little startled, that?s what the Temple Guard does to ya.? Brandon pulls down the stalactites on the ceiling, the first of which opens the doors.  He climbs up into the Dragon?s Lair where, out from behind a hidden door, jumps the second TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh! Take off Morgan!? Kirk shouts as Brandon is caught by the second Temple Guard.  Morgan has 1:40 remaining, and she starts by jogging up the stairs and sliding down into the Crevasse. ?She seems to be following Brandon?s path,? he says.  She heads toward the upper crawl tube, climbs down the ladder in the Mine Shaft, and slides belly-down through the tunnel connecting the Mine Shaft to the Crystal Cave.  She then runs across the room to enter the Junction of the Secret Shafts. (1:23) She walks across, hits the actuators for both tunnels out of the room, and crawls through the one closer to the front of the room.
?She?s great time so far,? Kirk comments as Morgan begins to hit the actuators in the Switch Inferno with 1:12 remaining, ?and now she?s only a couple rooms away from the Staff!? Morgan begins on the left wall, then moves to the back wall.  The last actuator on the back wall opens the door to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, and she climbs upward. (0:45) She grabs the pieces of the statue and puts them in position on the base one at a time.  She has trouble fitting the base into the platform and getting the torso in the correct orientation, but with fourteen seconds remaining, she jams down the head and runs into the Dark Overlook only to be stopped by the final TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh, there?s that last Guard,? Kirk comments. ?Give ?em the Pendant! Hurry!? Morgan takes a bit of time getting the Pendant off, but then she realizes she took a wrong turn.  She walks back through the Shrine and enters the Knights? Barracks? but we?re out of time!
?Oh, they were only one room away!? Kirk says. ?But the Silver Snakes gave it a great effort, and we gotta get outta here.  Check us out next time for another exciting Legend of the Hidden Temple!? Morgan reappears next to Brandon and Kirk, and the camera shows close-ups on the Sachem?s Staff of King Philip and the Knights? Barracks as the credits roll.

Temple Run Summary
Episode 38px]

Name of Artifact: The Sachem?s Staff of King Philip
Season: 2
Layout: 2 (6 overall)
Result: Failed acquisition
Time Remaining: N/A
Team: Silver Snakes
Pendants Won: 2
Location of Artifact: The Laser Light Room

These players made several wrong turns, and it ruined their chances of victory.  Brandon beelined for the artifact at the start of the run, by going up into the Room of Temple Gongs and across the dead-end Bridge; later, after encountering his first Temple Guard and completing the Crystal Cave's objective, he went up into the Dragon's Lair and was taken out.

Morgan smartly went straight across the bottom floor until she reached the Switch Inferno.  She walked at some points, but overall, she wasn't a horrible player.  However, after she climbed up into the Shrine from the Switch Inferno and put the monkey together, she ran into the Dark Overlook where she was delayed by the final Temple Guard.  Time ran out just as she was entering the Knights' Barracks.

Trivia and Records:
Morgan's wrong turn (going stage-left instead of stage-right after taking the vertical passage and putting the monkey together) wasn't that rare of a mistake, but this is the only time there was a Temple Guard in the top corner room waiting for a player to take that wrong turn.  Also, this episode featured a Moat that lasted for more than fifteen minutes? the mist disappeared completely before it ended? but, oddly enough, the player interviews were not edited out.
