Episode 1: The Telephone Receiver of Alexander Graham Bell


The Camera manuevers through the plants and foliage. Then we see. The Camera then points to the Moat. Then it points to the temple, scanning all of its rooms. Then camera pans to Olmec.

Olmec: “Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple: The Return! Say hello to your guide, Kirk Fogg.

We see Kirk swimming in the Moat. He jumps out and stand near the Steps of Knowledge.

Kirk: Hey everybody! Nice to see you! Nice to see you too, Olmec! There are mony lost treasures hidden in the temple. Which one will we hear about today, Olmec?

Olmec: The Telephone Receiver of Alexander Graham Bell.

Kirk: Great! Which one of our teams will have the chance to retrieve the Telephone Receiver of Alexander Graham Bell. Will it be The Red Jaguars, the Blue Barracudas, the Green Monkeys, or the Silver Snakes? In order to get the Receiver, they’ll have to start by crossing the Moat! Olmec, Tell us about the Moat!

Olmec: Before you lies 12 ancient bamboo steps. When I say go, you and your partner will step on the steps to get across. If your step sinks, you will have to start over. Once you and your partner are across, hit your gong. The first four team to cross the Moat will advance to the Steps of Knowledge.

 Kirk: Teams are you ready?

Teams: Yeah!!

Olmec: On your mark... Get set... GO!

The contestants all start to steps from pole to pole. The Orange Iguanas step sinks in, alomg with the Purple Parrots. The Red Jaguars fall in, along with the Orange Iguanas again. The Green Monkeys footing slips and they fall in as well. The Silver Snakes are having the most trouble of all. The Blue Barracudas make it across with out having to go back. The Purple Parrots also make it across also. The Orange Iguanas are having a hard time remember the correct path. This gives the Green Monkeys an opening to get across. They make it across also. Th Orange Iguanas are almost across when the Red Jaguars hit their gong.

Kirk: The Red Jaguars made it at the last minute, along with the Green Monkeys, Purple Parrots, and Blue Barracudas! The Orange Iguanas and the Silver Snakes gave it a great effort. For their efforts, they get an Apple Gift Card!

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends of the Hidden Temple: The Return! These four teams have crossed the Moat and made it to the Steps of Knowledge. It’s now time for Olmec to tell us a bout the Telephone Receiver of Alexander Graham Bell. Take it away, Olmec!

Olmec:  Alexander Graham Bell was born in Ireland. He was a wise child. At age 10, he persuaded his father to give him a middle name. His father chose “Graham” in admirance of Alexander Graham, a family friend. A few years after Alexander’s brothers died, he moved to the United States.  There he studied speech, because both his mother and wife were deaf. One day an idea came to him.
“I have to greatest idea! I will make a device that can let people talk to each other without being near each other!”
However, Elisha Gray also has the same idea. Both men worked to make their telephones. They worked tirelessly for many hours a day. On the same day, both men finished their inventions. The first person to  patent their telephone would be the owner of the invention. Elisha Gray went to the patent office. He was about to patent his telephone, but he was too late.
“I’m sorry Mr. Gray, but Mr. Bell already patented his a few hours earlier.”
“Drat!” Gray proclaimed.
Alexander became world famous for inventing the telephone. The receiver of his telephone mysteriously dissappeared and made it to the temple!

Kirk: Olmec, where can the Receiver be found?
Olmec: The Telephone receiver of Alexander Graham Bell can be found in the Lightning
Room.

   We see the receiver in the Lightning Room. In the background we see the electrictity flashing everywhere.

Kirk: Now our teams will have to answer the questions to make it to the temple games. The team who stomps on their marking first will have a chance to answer the question. If they’re right, they can move down a step. The 2 teams that make it to the bottom will be going to the temple games! Olmec, we’re ready for your first question!

Kirk: The Green Monkeys and the Purple Parrots have made it past the Steps of Knowledge! The Red Jaguars and Blue Barracudas won’t go away empty handed! They get The Sims 3 and The Sims 3: Abitions and World Adventures expansion packs!

The camera zooms in on one of the tee pees in the Indaian Burial Grounds. Then we see Kirk getting ready to talk.

Kirk: The Green Monkeys and Purple Parrots made it past the Steps, and now they’re onne step closer to the temple. On the Green Monkeys we have Brad and Leah. On the Purple Parrots we have Michelle and Ryan. In order to find out who’s going to the temple, they’ll need to compete for pendants of live in these temple games. The first two games are worth a half of pendant, and the third is worth a full pendant. Olmec, tell us about our first temple game.

Olmec: Alexander had trouble putting his telephone together. In this game, you are going to help him put it together. When I say go crawl through the dark tunnel and grab a piece of the telephone. Crawl back to the middle of the tunnel and put the piece in your bin. Then crawl to the other end, grab a piece, and crawl back and put it in your bin. Continue this for sixty seconds.

Kirk: Thank you, Olmec. On your mark... Get set... GO!

Both girls crawl through the pitch black tunnels. We see a first person view of Michelle’s camera on her helmet. Leah pushes open the door at the end of the tunnel and takes a piece of the phone and crawls back through her cave. Michelle then pops out adnd snatches a piece of the telephone. Both girls place the pieces in their baskets simultaneously. Leah gets lost in her tunnel while Michelle grabs her second piece. Leah finnaly gets her second piece with five seconds left. Michelle is grabbing her third piece as time runs out.

Kirk: Let’s count up these parts! The Green Monkeys have one piece. The Purple Parrots have 1... 2 pieces! The Purple Parrots get a half pendant!

Michelle starts jumping up and down very excitedly for no apparent reason.

Kirk: Olmec, tell us about game two.

Olmec: Bell and Gray were competing for the right to the telephone. Here you are going to do the same. When I say go, you’ll roll to the patent office, grab your first document, and roll back to your office. Check of the document with your feather pen, roll back to the patent office, and grab your second document. Roll back to your office, check it with the pen again, and bring both documents back the patent office. The first person who is finished, orh the person who is further along wins.

Kirk: Thanks. On your mark... Get set... Go!

Both boys start rolling at an extraordinary speed. After both boys grab their first document, Ryan trips while getting into his wheel. Just when Brad thinks he has a lead, Ryan speeds right past him. Ryan checks the document, and races off to get his next one. Brad gets stuck in the dent in the middle. He finally gets unstuck, but it is too late. Ryan has already gotten both of his documents back to the patent office.

Kirk: The Purple Parrots are looking pretty good right now! The Purple parrots get their second half pendant, giving them a whole pendant! Let’s see who can win the last temple game! Olmec, take it away!

Olmec: Alexander had to arrange his wires correctly. You and your partner are going to do the same. Before you lies 4 color wires, and seven wire holes. One person from each will see which wire goes in which hole. They then need to yell out the correct combinations to their partners on the other size of the wall. Fifteen seconds after your partner tells you the combinations, start connecting the wires. The first team finished will ring their bell.

Kirk: Ok, this is for the temple! Now the partners have to see the combinations.

Hole 7 lights up blue, 4 is green, 2 is yellow, and 3 is purple. The players start shouting out their combinations. 15 seconds after ther done Olmec says “Start connecting now.”
The girls start connecting their cords. about 12 seconds after the start, Michelle rings her bell.

Kirk: Wow! Michelle! That was fast. The Purple Parrots get a full pendant, which gives them 2 pendants. The Purple Parrots are going to the temple!

Michelle starts jumping up and down with Ryan.

Kirk: The Green Monkeys aren’t leaving with nothing! they’ll be getting a Razor Spark Scooter!

The camera pans up to the Lightning Room, revealing the Telephone Reciever.
