The "Other Nick Shows Cheaters" thread.
« on: June 23, 2016, 03:14:52 AM »
This is a sister thread of the Legends Cheaters thread, and is meant to discuss any incidents of cheating in any Nick show other than Legends.

So discuss whether or not the person cheated, bent the rules, or committed an honest mistake.

I remember an episode of Double Dare 2000 where the red team was doing a round. 2 physical challenge and it involves the parents hitting buttons on a grid to launch snowballs into the air for the kids to catch. Each kid had to catch 2 (4 in total) and one of the kids picked one up off the ground and placed it in their bucket. Harris was calling for the game to be over with 2 seconds left, but obvisouly the judges saw it and they didn't win. I wish I could remember the team name though.

Also speaking of Double Dare, did anyone else think that when doing the obstacle course, the contestants would pick up flags that were just handed to them? Like a kid gets the flag, goes to Pick It, reaches up and grabs the same flag that they were just handed?

Well there are only 67 episodes of DD2K, so finding that incident shouldn't be too terribly hard.

Also, IIRC, the flags were numbered during some of the seasons of Double Dare. Maybe they found out that a team had done this and implemented the numbering system to prevent further cheating.

Honestly, that's what I always thought as well. Like SSDD and the original DD never had the numbers until later on in its run until almost Nick's FDD.

I also think, in some small way, that the same might apply to the end game in Finders Keepers.

Okay now that's where I have to hold you up 322.

The tags during Finder's Keepers' "Room-to-Room Romp" were not only color coded from the start, but they also couldn't be cheated this way because each tag contained the name of the next room to search and the clue for the item in the next room. Hence the contestants couldn't have cheated in a manner like you've previously suggested because they'd show Wesley or Larry a tag with the name of the current room being searched. A dead giveaway for attempted cheating.

I will agree with you, but only to an extent. Only reason I say to an extent is because in some Toffler episodes, all they do is pick it up and he'll tell them to go to the (insert room name here) Room. I know at least one episode a kid picked up what he thought was the tag and read "Go to the Closet", problem was they were already in that room.
