Re: Rate the Moat Crossing - Atocha Day "Shimmy Across Poll Upside Down"

Yeah, I would love to try that moat too. :mrblue: It was a pretty fun challenge, and it did look kind of hard to do. Since I can assume the poll is slippery, and hard for some contestants to keep a grip on. Maybe that's why some of those moats took a long time?

And with a solid 6 average, time to end the upside down poll moat. :mrblue:

Up next is the "Ancient Babylonian Wheels" moat, albeit at the same time. ;)

I gave this moat a 6. It provided a good challenge for the teams, and I did like the concept of crossing Babylonian wheels. And it was especially challenging in this version in the moat where BOTH teams had to cross it together. But I only gave it a 6 because I wasn't exactly "sold" on the idea. Maybe it just didn't interest me as much as the "hanging inner tube" moat did on Leopard Skin Cloak's filming day. Plus, some of the moats here took a while too. Like Cosa Rara's moat, where it came down to Red, Orange, and Purple, and nobody was getting across. Good concept, but it's far from my favorite moat. And the fact that the Babylonian Wheels were used again the next day, loses points with me too.

I think you skipped the "Rope swinging" moat used in the Enormous Iron Nose Ring and Ivory Elephant moat? Unless you are going to feature that one when we get to the Polynesian Girl filming day?

And I gave this moat a 7. I loved the Babylonian Wheel moats in Season 2. But yeah, this one was the weakest of all the times this moat was used. I do like the teamwork aspect of this moat though where both players had to cross. It was a nice way to get teams to start off and work together. However, it looked too challenging like you mentioned. I definitely remember the Cosa Rara moat being long while using this moat. Lost Lion Tail's moat was pretty long too. It was a good idea, but the later versions of this maot was better. ;)

I didn't even think about Enormous Iron Nose Ring's moat. But yeah, I'll probably feature it on Polynesian Girl's filming day, since it WAS the same idea of swinging across a rope. Stupid contagious Fogg Ups. XD

And I also remember Lost Lion Tail's moat being long too. But Cosa Rara's was even worse, since the mist was actually starting to disappear by the end of the round. I also liked the "crossing the same moat single file" better. The teams seemed to cross a lot faster there. ;)

And with a 6.4 average, time to end "Part 1" the Ancient Babylonian Wheels. :mrred:

Up next is the "Single Player" version of the crossing of the Ancient Babylonian Wheels. ;)

I gave this moat a 7. I liked the "players crossing individually" idea MUCH better than both players crossing at the same time. It made the moat go by much faster, and I don't remember any teams struggling or taking too long to cross. I really don't have any complaints about this moat at all. Even if it was basically recycled from the day before. Just a different concept of course.

This moat also gets a 7 from me. I enjoyed this version of the moat compared to the last one, but I did not gave it a higher score because it reused the same objective. The only difference is that the players crossed individually. Kind of lame, but at least most of the moats were not long like the previous day. But nothing stands out either. I liked the one where the players had to crawl through the tires, which was used in Silk Sash's moat I believe?

Up next is the "hanging inner tubes" moat. ;)

I gave this moat an 8. This is my favorite moat of Season 2. I like the idea of players crawling through hanging inner tubes, and it looked challenging to do. The only moat on this day that was bad, was Silk Sash's moat, where Jessie took her sweet time getting across. Can you imagine if Gareth or Kristen from Lucky Pig tried this moat? They'd probably get stuck in the tubes.

If this moat doesn't impress you, I don't know what will. ;)

Yeah, I gave this moat an 8 for the same reason. This idea was probably the most logical usage of the hanging tires anyways. This is yet another moat that would've been fun to compete in. And most of the episodes that used this moat were pretty good. Except for Silk Sash, where Jessie took too long to cross. And I don't want to imagine Kristen or Garrett in the tire swings. Especially Kristen, she would get stuck in the first tire.  :afro:

You don't sound excited. Why can't you show the same excitement for this topic like you do with GM1's threads? ;)

Never mind. Actually, I think I might end this poll early, since I got the 5 votes I wanted. I might leave it for a few more minutes though. Wouldn't be a bad idea to move on to Golden Pepperoni's moat. Which was also a good concept for a moat. ;)
