I caught a glimpse of it on the news earlier, and it was definitely very shocking.  Did you catch what caused the explosions? I'm watching it on the news again now and I still missed the announcement. :?

Now that I think of it, what if someone ranked the best "losing team" on the show? Like the way TMH ranked the best winning team. The scoring system can be the same, just no points for victory obviously.

We all know that Travis and Elisa would come out on top, though. :P
Wrong. Nick and Chandra from Leopard Skin Cloak would. First in the moat, first in the Steps of Knowledge, swept the temple games. Kind of like how Kelly and Tony from Billy the Kid dominated every round and won the whole thing.

According to TMH's scoring system, they should get docked 15 points due to Chandra unnecessarily entering the Room of the Secret Password:

I created a scorecard system to determine the best team ever on the show.  Here's how the scoring worked.

- 20pts for 1st, 15pts for 2nd, 10pts for 3rd, 5pts for 4th
- 2pt deduction for every 30 seconds that elapses

- 11pts for the first question right, 10pts for the second, all the way down to 1pt for the eleventh question right
- 2pt deduction for an incorrect question

- 10pts for winning a half-pendant game
- 20pts for winning a full-pendant game
- 10pts for winning a tie-breaker
- 5pts for winning a tie-breaker via the other team getting it wrong

- 25pts for grabbing the artifact
- 25pts for getting it out of the Temple
- 10pts for finding and picking up the hidden half-pendant
- 15pt deduction for taking an incorrect route

The maximum number of points as such is 140 (20 Moat + 30 Steps + 40 Games + 50 Temple).  While 145 _is_ possible (20 + 30 + 30 + 10 + 60 Temple) for teams with 1.5 Pendants, it never happened.

And now, here we go:  the countdown of the twenty best Legends teams!
I think the only problem there is that the "wrong turn" clause was a little bit vague.  Looking back at the list, I don't think TMH penalized a team for adding a room or two onto the route to the artifact as long as they eventually got there (such as starting in the Crypt only to have to go down to the Ledges).  Only if they ran into a complete dead end or backtracked by mistake, like from the Shrine to the Room of the Secret Password.

At least, that's how I think he did it.  I suppose adding an unnecessary trip to the Room of the Secret Password or Quicksand Bog onto the path to the artifact isn't "wrong" per se, just less efficient than the quicker route.

Amberian Dawn - "Virvatulen Laulu"

Pretty surprising, since the only other time I've heard a classically trained male do guest vocals in this sort of music was "Imperfect Tenses" by After Forever. :o Really love this and the fact that it's in Finnish makes it more challenging yet beautiful, but if only I could find a translation online... I might know somebody I can ask to help out there, though.

I'm a little torn too.  I do like the way it looks, but I'm only stuck wanting to like it because giving Mewtwo a new forme now seems so... forced.  It's just too much like Keldeo and Shaymin getting new formes to drum up hype for the movies (although in Shaymin's case, I would've just preferred that as the only forme).

I think the key to making an alternate forme feel natural is to introduce it alongside the main forme as part of the Pokémon's central theme (e.g. Castform, Cherrim, Sawsbuck, Rotom).  Giratina and Kyurem are the only ones where I like the addition of a new forme after their introduction, and I think it's because they became more central to those later games and there were a few hints at least for Kyurem... I remember looking at Black Kyurem and White Kyurem and thinking that I should've seen the formes coming, based partly on the main forme's lower base stats compared to Zekrom and Reshiram, but mainly on the Pokédex entries and the moves Freeze Shock and Ice Burn in B1W1's game data.

As far as my own game files go, I'm currently running through the Elite Four in Platinum, doing one battle each day this week.  That means Aaron and Bertha have already been defeated, and I'll let you know how things turn out when it's over. ;) I'm almost done in Black 2 on Normal Mode as well, after plenty of delays; I've got the entire roster of the Trick Room team, and all that's left is to farm for Shards to tweak the movesets, grind for the Elite Four and then search for the last few postgame TM's I need.

Oh, and just for the record... The "site maintenance" thing earlier was supposed to be one final April Fools prank for the year.  It just didn't pan out like I hoped it would, but I wanted it to look more like the forum had been deleted because of some silly copyright claim and we'd all have to dig up the ZetaBoards link again.  I don't even know how many of you noticed.

Yeah, seriously.  I wouldn't even mind going back to the way YouTube was only two or three years ago.  HD was still a bit more available, but without most of the annoying forced changes and such.  I think that was before the layouts got way too stupid, too, so not only did it look better, it was maintained better too.

Too bad it didn't look like a lot of people remembered the backup forum.  I know TBK sent me a PM with the link just in case when the GMW prank happened, but I thought he'd sent it to more other people.  Maybe I should've done that.

The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata (artifact in same room space, direct path worked here too)

My theory about the Stone Head of the Evil King is the episode details were fully planned out before the Medusa's Lair prop came onto the set.  Maybe they had to make do with the Heart Room for the first day of Season 2 and the Medusa prop was a late shipment or something, but it might have arrived sooner than expected regardless.  It just feels like the Stone Head episode was planned for Layout X as "The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor" probably was as well.

The Diary of Dr. Livingstone (second player in both runs entered all twelve rooms)

I can't believe I didn't make the pottery connection for The King's Storeroom. :o I always tried to justify the Portrait being in the Laser Light Room with the different colors of light as a very tenuous connection to paint colors and stuff like that...

I probably would've put the Bent Shaving Pan in either the Dark Forest or the Quicksand Bog.  Jedediah Smith was an explorer, and those were the two most wilderness-based rooms in Season 3.

As for the Leopard-Skin Cloak, a sort of animal connection between the artifact and the room objective is all I can offer as justification there.
