Um... I think you're wrong.

Nickelodeon keeps churning out new shows.  Granted, they're cartoons, but they're still shows.  Nickelodeon is THE kids' network.  Viacom owns them.  The NBC people.  Disney is ABC.  They aren't going anywhere for a while unless Disney BUYS Viacom, which I don't see happening anytime soon.

Oh, wait, you're just talking about the shows on GAS, all of which are at least six years old.  -_-

SAVE LEGENDS!  I happen to have 110 episodes on tape (my parents taped a governer's debate over my Blackbeard's Treasure Map).  But what of those 10 episodes that I need?

Remember that Nickelodeon is the #1-rated basic cable network. In other words, it can be considered to be the most successful basic television channel. It's not going off any time soon.

because kids today are stupid and will watch anything, so why waste money making a good show when you can make a crappy show for virtually nothing

Well, that is a good point, however, if kids would watch crappy kids' shows, then why hasn't a network with "good" kids' shows overtaken Nick? Nickelodeon just knows how to play to everyone--that's the thing.
