On April 22, 2009, it was announced that Dish would move the west feed of Cartoon Network to channel 177 the next day and (after a month-long slate period) place The N on channel 181 (it is currently on 9576). This action will allow Noggin to go 24 hours on channel 169. The first set of changes then took place early this morning.

At least it managed to survive a year and 4 months after it was suppose to die.

Think of the positives, Nickelodeon has the new Brain Surge game coming up as well as a new season of the new Guts (as far as I know).

Oh well. I didn't expect it to make it a week after the original December 31st date. After I saw TOONW appear on 181, I thought it was a little strange, since TOON was on 176.0

I'm kinda surprised there was no warning of this. They announce the change just hours before it happened (~3:00pm), supposedly then switch at 3:01AM Eastern/12:01AM pacific just about 12 hours later.

R.I.P.

Anyways, since the N got a slot in the 9000's, why not Nick GAS? I guess we'll never know. But hey, we have links to all 120 episodes, so it's not all that bad..

As someone who pretty much lost Nick GaS all the way back on January 1st, 2008, I've missed it for a long time. I think those of you who enjoyed it longer should be at least a little thankful, but that's just me.

Either way, Nick GaS is sorely missed.
