Make Up Your Own GUTS Events

[The Bamboo Forest]

Well, since we have these kinds of threads for Legends, maybe it's a good idea to have one for GUTS to generate a little more activity in the Ice Crag.

Slippery When Wet - Sort of like Vertiboggan, but it's a water-based slide and using a "double donut tube" (those that look like two dobut tubes connected and are used on some waterslides at water parks). Obstacles include tight turns, water jets, and rocks causing a very indirect path down the chute.

Down and Dirty - The players must squirm through a long sewer and pop out the other side, then turn around and crawl back to the start. Best time wins.

Come on guys, this was meant to generate Ice Crag activity!

Clashin? Clear ? Each player is given an up-sized badminton racket, while the shuttles (birdies) are placed on a pedestal next to them. The player must bounce up, grab a birdie, then throw it up in the air and perform an overhead clear over the 4-foot net. The player with the most overhead clears at the end of 1? minutes wins the game.

Stunt Fall ? Each player is placed next to a large 10-foot climbing wall split into three and at the top are a mass of ribbons. The players must climb the wall, then grab a ribbon and pull it down to the ground, before climbing back up again. The player to unroll the most ribbons at the end of 1? minutes wins Stunt Fall.

Steamin? Rollers ? The players must traverse a platform of rollers by crawling on them (if they walk, they would fall). The rollers are kind of like what you see at the end of the airport security check belts?they?re all laid out in a row. Once the player has reached the other side, s/he would need to turn around and make his/her way back to the Aerial Bridge. Best time wins.

Jump Start ? Modeled after the ?Jump-ball? start move in basketball, a centrally-placed, air-compressed cannon will launch a basketball into the air. The players must jump off their respective Aerial Bridges and catch the ball while being airborne. The player to catch the most basketballs at the end of 60 seconds is the winner.

Generator ? A  playground-based contraption is used in this event?a sort of giant donut-shaped wheel tilted at a 45 degree angle (just like the giant spinning pendants in Legends but with a hole in the middle). The player to turn their wheel the most times in 45 seconds wins the event.

Power Polo ? This is kind of like Touchdown, but near the pool. Players had to jump off their elevated platform, shoot a ball into the net directly opposite of them, and fall into the water. Then they would climb up a ladder to their platform and do it over and over again. The player to score the most goals at the end of 60 seconds wins.

I'm not so good with names, but I'd have this event where players had to race along the track on a scooter. That would've been cool IMO.

Leap of Faith - Another elastic event. Players will hop off the Aerial Bridge and onto a trampoline on the ground. There are three platforms in front; they are lined in a 45 degree angle (see [badly drawn] diagram below to help visualize). The player will get three tries, and only the best jump will be counted. The player to hop on the highest platform wins.

Disco Dancefloor - I have no idea where they could squeeze this one in, but there will be a large dance floor. Color-coded squares (blue, red, and purple) will "bounce" around the screen and players must step on their color boxes. The player to step on the most of their color boxes at the end of 45 seconds wins.

Cliffdiver - Players will jump off an elevated platform and into the water, but first they must throw a small tennis ball at the target in front of them. Each player is given 30 seconds, and the player to knock the target down the most times wins.

Hi-Flyer?Ever played that crappy ?My Family?s Got GUTS Drop Zone? game on Nick.com? Well, I actually sort of created an event based on it. Players slide down a zip line holding onto a metal ?hanger?. Once they run out of momentum (or they just can?t go any further because they?re too weak ) they must drop down into the pit of sand below. The maximum distance is 30 feet (if they make it to the other Aerial Bridge) and players are given three tries. Only the best distance counts, and the player with the best distance wins.

Powerslide - Played on the Ski Slope. Like Vertiboggan, but players are strapped to a board on their stomachs. Players will steer the board laying down like that down the course; fastest time wins.

Not an event, but I would've added a "quicksand" kind of thing at the base of the Aggro Crag, filled with foam blocks and plastic balls and all sorts of random crap that can be thrown in there, and then make players have to go through a certain section of the switchbacks (like how they have the rollers on one ramp, you could change another ramp to this quicksand thing) with quicksand in it. Just a lifelong idea.

Sky High - Combination of Off The Wall and various temple games. Players jump off the Aerial Bridge and try to knock the baseballs off their section of a canopy instead of a vertical wall. Most balls knocked off wins.
