Rediscovery EP: The Incomplete Painting of Titian

Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 34px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Incomplete Painting of Titian."

"Oh, the Incomplete Painting of Titian," Kirk says in response. "And so the adventure is set, and so one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Incomplete Painting.  Will it be:
"Brian and Jessica of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Steven and Emily of the Blue Barracudas,
"Nathan and Olivia of the Green Monkeys,
"Ben and Anna of the Orange Iguanas,
"Nick and Madison of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Cameron and Hannah of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass through some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they?ll have cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today:
"Each team is standing in front of a dragon tunnel that stretches across the Moat.  When I say go, one player from each team will crawl in the entrance of the tunnel and tunnel their way all across the Moat.  Then their partner'll crawl in and make his way through the dragon tunnel."
"When the second player climbs out of the tunnel and steps onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.  Hey teams? are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"Ready when you are," Olmec replies.
"All right then," Kirk replies. "On your marks, get set, GO!"

?There they go, they?re gonna get eaten by the dragons!? Kirk shouts as the teams? first players crawl into the tunnels and head their way on through.  The players only have trouble making it over the raised curves in the path.  However, the tunnels are slicked with soap and water to make maneuvers somewhat easy. ?I think it?s gonna be a race to the finish, it?s gonna be a tight match,? Kirk says in his play-by-play commentary.  But at first, a few teams get a little stuck in the curves of the path, the boy on the Orange Iguanas makes it across very quickly.  The girl on the Silver Snakes is the next one out of the dragon mouth, but about fifteen seconds thereafter.  The boy on the Green Monkeys emerges from the tunnel about ten seconds later, the girl on the Purple Parrots another ten seconds after him.
?The dragon wants to curve, you just gotta curve with it,? Kirk comments as the girl on the Red Jaguars appears from the tunnel. ?I think that?s gonna determine it!? After about fifteen more seconds, the girl on the Orange Iguanas crawls out of the tunnel, and her partner goes over to hit the gong. ?We got one team? two? three? We got our four teams right here!? Kirk says as the other teams hit the gongs at almost the exact same time.  The camera pans to show him running from offscreen-left to stand with the Green Monkeys near their lit-up gong. ?Whoa, Green Monkeys, it came down to the last second! Going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Green Monkeys? and the Orange Iguanas?? the camera briefly shows each of the other qualifying teams? ?and the Purple Parrots? and the Silver Snakes! The Red Jaguars and Blue Barracudas gave it a great effort too.  We?ve got a nice gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? Brian, Jessica, Emily and Steven will each be receiving an Eastpak backpack.

Rediscovery EP: The Incomplete Painting of Titian
« Reply #1 on: May 06, 2007, 04:44:08 AM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the Incomplete Painting of Titian.  But pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you one step closer to the Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"One of the greatest and most talented painters of the Italian Renaissance was Titian Vecellio.  He created many great works like The Assumption of the Madonna and The Venus of Urbino.  But when Titian finally died in Venice at the age of 89, he was only halfway through a new painting called Piet?.  His will contained a codicil which stated:
"'I can't finish painting Piet?.  I leave the task to Palma the Younger to finish it for me.'
"When Palma the Younger finished Piet? and presented it to the people of Venice, the critics were aghast.
"'Dissa doesn'ta looka like anytinga Titian coulda created!'
"'Why woulda someone alike 'im make a sometinga so frightafull?'
"Legend has it maybe he didn't.  When Titian died, Palma threw out the unfinished Piet? and worked on his own to make a new painting by the same name.  The old Piet? not only was never finished, but it also ended up in the Temple.  Your goal is to find the Incomplete Painting of Titian and bring it back here."

"Thank you Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So tell us, where is the Incomplete Painting of Titian?"
Olmec replies:
"The Incomplete Painting of Titian can be found in the Laser Light Room." The camera zooms in on the Incomplete Painting leaning on the outer railing in the Laser Light Room, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we're ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Was Titian a: Painter, Sculp???
Nathan rings in: ?A painter???
?Correct,? Olmec replies.
?Nice job, Green Monkeys, step down,? Kirk comments, and the Green Monkeys move down a step. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?During which of these periods was Titian alive: Revolutionary War, Renaissance, or Middle Ages??
Olivia stomps down first: ?The Middle Ages???
?Incorrect,? Olmec replies.
Madison buzzes in: ?Middle Ages???
?Incorrect,? Olmec answers. ?The answer was the Renaissance.?
?All right,? Kirk says. ?Next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Did Titian live in: France???
Hannah gongs in: ?Italy.?
?Correct,? answers Olmec, and the Silver Snakes move down one level.
?I think this match is heating up,? Kirk comments. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?What was the name Titian gave to the Incomplete Painting: Paran?, Piet?, or Coup d?etat??
After a second of hesitation, Hannah buzzes in: ?Piet????
?That is correct,? Olmec responds, and the Silver Snakes move down to the third step.
?Silver Snakes only one step away from the Temple Games,? explains Kirk. ?Let?s keep going.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec then asks:
?Who was assigned to complete Piet? when Titian died???
Anna stomps down first, but says nothing before a bell sounds.
?Time?s up,? Olmec says. ?The three choices are: Pieter Brueghel the Elder, Hans Holbein the Younger, or Palma the Younger.?
Cameron gongs in: ?Palma the Younger???
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, allowing the Silver Snakes to move down to the bottom step.
?Okay, we?ve got our first team going on to the Temple Games!? Kirk announces. ?Who?s gonna join them: the Purple Parrots, the Green Monkeys or the Orange Iguanas? Next question.?
And, given the command, Olmec asks:
?In our legend, did Palma: Throw out the old painting and make a new one???
Nick stomps down first: ?He threw out the painting and made a new one???
?Correct,? Olmec answers, and the Purple Parrots move down one step.
?Orange Iguanas can still catch up,? Kirk comments. ?Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?According to our legend, did Palma receive the order to finish the painting: From Titian?s son???
Madison buzzes in: ?Uhh? From Titian?s son???
?Incorrect,? Olmec replies. ?The other two choices are??
Anna gongs in: ?He got the message in Titian?s will???
?Correct,? Olmec replies, and the Orange Iguanas move down a step.
?It?s all tied up now,? Kirk narrates. ?Continue Olmec.?
Olmec does so by asking:
?Titian?s order for Palma to finish the painting was an addition to his will.  Is an addition to a will called a: Devisee, Livery, or Codicil??
Nathan stomps down first: ?Codicil???
?That is correct,? Olmec replies, and the Green Monkeys move down a step.
?One more correct response, and the Green Monkeys are going to the Temple Games,? Kirk explains to the audience. ?Let?s hear the next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Did Titian live to the age of: 89, 99, or 109??
Olivia stomps down first: ?89???
?That is correct!? Olmec yells, and the Green Monkeys join the Silver Snakes at the bottom step.
?All right, we?ve got our two teams!? Kirk announces, walking up the back of the bottom step to stand behind the two qualifying teams. ?The Green Monkeys and the Silver Snakes! The rest of you guys come down here.? The Orange Iguanas and Purple Parrots move down a step. ?These guys gave it a great effort too.  They?re not going away empty-handed, we?ve got a nice gift for them and here?s what it is.? Ben, Madison, Anna and Nick will each be receiving a copy of Monster House on DVD.
Kirk stands between the two winning teams on the bottommost Step of Knowledge. ?The Green Snakes and the Silver Monkeys will be playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?and they?re gonna do it right after this!? The camera zooms out over the Moat, then fades to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Incomplete Painting of Titian
« Reply #2 on: May 06, 2007, 04:47:02 AM »
Kirk is standing in front of the Mine Shaft with the team players around him. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s get to know our team players.? He turns to talk to the girl to his immediate right, whose brown hair is tied back into a ponytail that extends about a third of the way down her back. ?On the Green Monkeys, we have Olivia.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? she replies, her blue eyes blinking.
?And it says here that you play soccer and you?re also a cheerleader,? Kirk reads on the index card in his hand. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well,? Olivia explains, ?I started at the beginning of the school year, and I just love? how I can scream loud and not get in trouble.? She gives a bit of a silly smile, which reveals her braces, as Kirk goes to interview the blond boy on Olivia?s right.
?And Nathan,? says Kirk, ?how old are you??
?Thirteen,? he replies.
?And you play baseball and you like to swim, but you were in a regional-level spelling bee last spring,? he reads. ?Tell me about that.?
?Oh, I didn?t make it that far,? he says modestly. ?There were 41 kids there, whoever was first would go to Washington, D.C. for the national championship, I was 27th out of 41.?
?What word did you get knocked off on?? Kirk asks.
?Junta,? replies Nathan. ?I started with an h instead of a j.?
?You trying again this year?? asks Kirk.
?Yeah,? he answers.
?Well I hope you?ll do better this time,? Kirk says. ?Let?s hear it for the Green Monkeys!? Nathan and Olivia high-ten as the audience applauds.  Kirk turns to the right side of the screen to talk to the short-haired blond girl on the other team. ?And on the Silver Snakes, we have Hannah.  How old are you??
?Eleven,? the short girl replies.
?And you like to swim and you collect baseball cards,? Kirk reads. ?Tell me how you got into that.?
?Umm,? Hannah explains, ?I have two older brothers, Tyler and Jay, and they collect baseball cards, and I guess that?s how I started.?
?How big is your collection?? Kirk asks.
?Maybe? 100,? she replies. ?I started? my birthday last year.?
?Oh, I?m sure it?ll get bigger,? Kirk says, going to interview the taller, curly-brown-haired boy on the far right of the screen. ?And Cameron, how old are you??
?Fourteen,? Cameron replies.
?And you?re an aspiring writer and you say you?re obsessed with studying ancient Greek culture,? Kirk reads. ?Tell me about.?
?It?s not just in?erest in the myths,? Cameron explains, ?it?s been ever since my parents made a family tree and I found out that on my dad?s side I?m related to Archimedes.?
?Well you?ve really studied enough here too, first in the Steps of Knowledge,? Kirk says. ?Let?s hear if for the Silver Snakes!? The audience applauds again, and Cameron and Hannah clap along with the audience.

?Okay,? Kirk says, ?you guys ready to play??
?YEAH!? The players reply.
?Okay, go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says, pointing in different directions, and the players walk offscreen. ?In the Temple Games, each teams will be competing to win?" he opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "Pendants of Life.  The winning team will need those Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  There are three Temple Games.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec begins:
?Painting was no easy task in Titian?s day.  He would have to get lots of supplies before getting to work on one painting.  In this game, all you need is the paint.  Before you stands a huge spider web with several cubbyholes around the outer edges.  When Kirk gives the signal, fling yourself onto the spider web in front of you and climb up to one of the holes and break it open.  If the paint container inside is full, grab it, come back down and place it in your bin.  If the container is empty, climb towards another cubbyhole and break that one open.
?The first player to find the four full paint containers? or the player that?s found the most full paint containers in 60 seconds? wins.?
The camera fades to Kirk. ?Okay, this is a new way to paint,? he says. ?Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock then appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Olivia and Hannah launch themselves onto the nets and start climbing up to the top.  Hannah goes straight for the camera-left corner of her net, while Olivia sticks to the stage-right portion of hers and has a little trouble deciding what container to break open.  Finally, she settles on one in the top corner, finding a small container filled with blue paint whereas Hannah discovers an empty container. (The containers are actually just inkwells.)
?It?s a tough game, but it looks close!? Kirk comments.  Hannah puts her container back in its cubbyhole and moves over to her right to find a blue-paint-filled container in the next cubbyhole, while Olivia slowly climbs down, sticking near the sidewall and being careful not to drop and break the container.  But Hannah doesn?t climb down quite as slowly, and so she manages to place her first paint container in her bin only a second after Olivia gets hers in the bin.  As time begins to run down, Olivia finds a black-paint-filled container just off-center, while Hannah indecisively floats around near the top of the net.  The ceiling spotlights flash as Hannah drifts toward another cubbyhole and Olivia starts back down with a container of yellow paint.
?Okay, time?s up!? Kirk shouts, running over to count the scores. ?Silver Snakes had only one color paint, but the Green Monkeys got two! Green Monkeys get the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds for a second. ?Silver Snakes can catch up in the next game worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?Not all of Titian?s subjects lived in the city of Venice.  Often artists would travel to find the people they were going to paint portraits of.  Before you stands a part of an Italian forest.  When Kirk gives the signal, put your paintbrush behind your head and make your way through the forest.  Whenever you come to two trees, you must find a way to maneuver between or around them, keeping your paintbrush behind your head and both of your hands on it.
?The first player to exit the Italian forest? or the player that?s closest to the end after 60 seconds wins.?
?The forests look just like this in Italy, too,? Kirk says. ?NOT.  Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Nathan and Cameron begin to make their way through the forest, trying to spend as little time as possible maneuvering between each pair of oddly bent trees.  Neither is exceptionally fast, but both are evenly matched.  However, Cameron makes it out just before Nathan, and with 30 seconds left.
?All right, that?s it!? Kirk shouts, appearing from offscreen to announce a winner. ?Silver Snakes just edged out the Green Monkeys, giving them the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds again. ?The third and final games, it?s worth a full Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec narrates:
?When Titian died, Palma the Younger threw out the old painting and replaced it with a new one.  In this game, you and your partner will work together to replace a painting.  When Kirk gives the signal, stick the original painting to your helmet, and run out to meet your partner at the middle of the path.  Then, your partner will grab the painting slide back and place it in the disposal bin.  Then, your partner will grab the replacement painting, stick it to their helmet, run out, and pass it to you.
?The first team to complete the exchange? or the team that?s furthest along after 60 seconds? wins.?
?Sounds like a tough game,? Kirk says, and the camera shows Nathan and Cameron with the rather small paintings stuck to helmet. ?Remember, it?s all tied up, whoever wins this goes to the Temple.  Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock appears in the corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
The players try to defy the force of the bungee cords, but it proves to be a tricky Temple Game, as Kirk predicted.  Olivia and Cameron make it to the middle first, but each has to wait a few seconds for their partner to appear.  Hannah, having trouble stretching the cord all the way, keeps sliding backward as Nathan gets to the middle of his track where Olivia is waiting.  Olivia manages to place the original painting in the disposal bin with 40 seconds remaining, but the Silver Snakes don?t transfer their original painting until only 32 seconds are left.  The bungee cords begin tugging on both players on the Green Monkeys, but they manage to transfer the new painting and put it in place with 18 seconds left.
?Okay, we got a winner!? Kirk announces as the spotters free all the players from their equipment. ?Green Monkeys finished well before time was over, they get the full Pendant, that gives them a Pendant and a half, the Silver Snakes only had a half.  The Green Monkeys are goin? to the Temple!? Nathan and Olivia run out to the middle of the track, hug for a second and then high-five each other.  Kirk runs between the tracks to talk to the Silver Snakes. ?The Silver Snakes made it a great effort too.  Here?s what we?ve got for them.? Cameron and Hannah will each be receiving a $100 U.S. Savings Bond provided by Nestle.
Kirk is standing in front of the tracks with his hands on Nathan and Olivia?s shoulders. ?We?ll see if the mighty Green Monkeys can make it through Olmec?s Temple and retrieve that Incomplete Painting of Titian,? he says, ?and we?ll see right after this!? The camera whizzes past the Silver Snakes standing near a piece of Temple Games equipment which was not used, and zooms in on one of the gold doors in the Switch Inferno before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Incomplete Painting of Titian
« Reply #3 on: May 06, 2007, 05:01:01 AM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs with his hands on Nathan and Olivia's shoulders. "Welcome back to Legends," he says to the camera before turning around to talk to Olmec. "Olmec!" he shouts. "These two have proven themselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter your Temple.  But before they go, can you give them any hints to help them retrieve the Incomplete Painting of Titian?"
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Dungeon.
?There, climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Dark Overlook, and correctly place all three torches to open the door? to the Shrine? of the Silver Monkey.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, and you could advance into the Laser Light Room, where you can grab the Incomplete Painting of Titian.  Find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Room of Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 1 ? Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"Me," Olivia says in response.
"Very well Olivia," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Incomplete Painting.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Nathan's turn to enter and try his luck.  Hidden somewhere in the Temple is the other half of your Pendant.  If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life.  If you can reach the Incomplete Painting of Titian, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Incomplete Painting in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how:"
?   For just making it into the Temple, they?re both going to get a camping gear package from Outdoor Products.
?   If they can reach the Incomplete Painting within 3 minutes, they?re also going to get $500 Toys ?R? Us gift cards.
?   And if they can get the Incomplete Painting of Titian out of the Temple, they?ll both be going to Krystal Cancun! Krystal Cancun, the resort for beach lovers, with excursions to Mayan ruins.  It?s rich in history and rich in pleasure.  Krystal Cancun, for a prize package totaling $13,498!

"Cancun, all right!" Kirk says, excited. "Now, Olivia, tell me? how're you gonna get to the Incomplete Painting?"
"Well," explains Olivia, "I?m starting down, but I?m gonna go into the room over there?" she points to the Crystal Cave? "and start climbing up and grab the Painting and come back out."
"Well let's see if that works out," Kirk says. "Mouthpieces in.  Lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec moans as he lowers the gate.
"And let's set the clock? for three minutes.  On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There she goes!? Kirk shouts as Olivia runs up the stairs of the Temple and slides down into the Crevasse. ?She?s headed into the deep, murky depths of the Crevasse with a Pendant and a half!? Olivia goes straight for the upper crawl tube, which opens, allowing her to enter the Mine Shaft.  She begins throwing rocks into the bucket, and on the fifth rock, the slab covering the door leading into the Crystal Cave rises all the way so that Olivia can proceed. (2:35) ?Three cave rooms in a row!? Kirk comments as Olivia begins pulling down the stalactites. ?That?s kinda weird.? The second stalactite Olivia detaches is the correct one, and she climbs up into the Dragon?s Lair to meet the first TEMPLE GUARD!
Olivia has a Pendant of Life, and she gives it to the Temple Guard to keep going.  She then runs to the front of the room, grabs two horns and places them in two of the four holes in the dragon head around the door in the back of the room.  Then she does the same with the other two horns.  A loud roar sounds, but unfortunately, no doors open.  However, Olivia looks around just to be sure.  After a little while, she slowly goes back down into the Crystal Cave, enters the Junction of the Secret Shafts, takes the upper entrance into the Switch Inferno and from there, runs through the rock wall into the Dungeon.  She begins to climb up the ladder to access the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, but before she climb all the way up out jumps the second TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh, she?s been take out!? Kirk shouts. ?Go Nathan, take off!? Nathan passes through the Temple Gate with a half Pendant in hand and 1:28 on the clock.  He moves through all rooms on the bottom floor of Temple and enters the Shrine of the Silver Monkey with 47 seconds remaining. ?Hope he gets this, right now, he?s only two rooms behind!? Kirk comments as Nathan begins putting the monkey together, grabbing one piece at a time.  Only 22 seconds remain when he enters the Knights? Barracks.  He goes straight to the middle sheath, which doesn?t work.  The second one he tries, the camera-right sheath, happens to be the correct one, so he jogs up the stairs to enter the Laser Light Room and grabs the INCOMPLETE PAINTING!
?He?s got it!? Kirk shouts. (0:03) Nathan heads for the door leading into the Bridge? but we?re out of time!
?He grabbed it!? Kirk shouts, with Olivia standing next to him. ?Down to the last second, but he got the Painting, so they get the camping gear, the ?R? Us gift cards, and we gotta get outta here.  Join us next time for another Legends of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? The camera pans through the rooms of the upper floor of the Temple in first person as the credits roll.

Temple Run Summary
Episode 34px

Name of Artifact: The Incomplete Painting of Titian
Season: 2
Layout: 2 (6 overall)
Result: Did not escape in time
Time Remaining: N/A
Team: Green Monkeys
Pendants Won: 1.5
Location of Artifact: The Laser Light Room

This is another one of those episodes where one room makes all the difference.  Olivia's plan was to go across the bottom floor until she reached the Crystal Cave, then climb up the central column to grab the Painting.  Unfortunately, she hit a double whammy in the Dragon's Lair: her first Temple Guard and a complete dead end.  She eventually retreated to the Crystal Cave, and went along the bottom floor until she got taken out in the Dungeon with roughly ninety seconds left.

Nathan wasn't very fast, but he knew what he was doing.  He didn't run into the third Temple Guard and managed to grab the Incomplete Painting with just three seconds remaining, but this could have been a solo victory for Olivia if she didn't enter the Dragon's Lair.

Trivia and Records:
This is the first episode in which the Green Monkeys, Orange Iguanas, Purple Parrots and Silver Snakes all qualify for the Steps of Knowledge.  Also, when the camera goes to fade out to the commercial after the Temple Games, you can see the equipment for the "path to freedom" Temple Game even though it wasn't used in this episode.
