Rate the Color Combinations (Temple Games Edition) - Purple vs. Silver

[The Red Jaguars]

Red-Purple doesn't look too bad for me. However, the episode selection was pretty lousy though. The only episode I like is Blackfeet Chief, which is coincidentally the only time the Purple Parrots beat the Red Jaguars.

Red-Silver is definitely ugly though. And let's not get started about some of the episodes from that combo. 

I really liked Blue though with most of the combos.

I personally hate Red/Purple. Those colors look so pukey to me, but you're right about Blackfeet Chief being the only good episode from that pair. I think someone else said those colors look like berries. And that's pretty accurate too.

Red/Silver is even worse. Though like Red/Orange, the episode selection there is really hit or miss.

I can't wait to get to the Blue match ups. Blue looks great with most of the other combos, like you said.

I gave this combination a 2. I personally hate these colors together. They look extremely ugly and way too mediciny. And the episode selection is just terrible. The only episode I like from this match up is Bone Necklace, which coincidentally is the only time Purple beat Red. The rest are average (Belshazzar) to just plain terrible (whatever I didn't mention yet). I also dislike this match up because the distribution of episodes is so painfully uneven. There's at least 2-3 that should've been Purple Parrot runs instead. Just.... I don't want to waste time talking more about this pair. I'm glad this was one of the more rare match ups on the show.

I gave this combo a 4 purely because I like purple and red together.

The episode selection is horrible and red wins way too many times (not that the producers can help it).

I am not a fan of this combination, for the same reasons as the Paintbrush. The Purple and Red don't even mix well. Mostly because the Purple was too dark, so it didn't really work well with Red. And the episode selection is seriously lacking. Blackfeet Chief is the only episode I like from this list. The other episodes (minus Golden Cup) were so boring and mediocre. Printing Plate and Queen Nzinga are pure crap. I gave this combo a 3 overall because it had too many problems.

No doubt that Queen Nzinga and Smashed Printing Plate would feature better outcomes if the Parrots went to the temple. In Nzinga, the temple guard capture shoul've been easily avoided. This would've been an easy win had the team found the half-pendant (same one Kerry and Claude found). And while the Printing Plate team made it far, they really should've reached the artifact since the layout was almost identical to Queen Boadicea. The Purple Parrots in that episode probably would've even reached the Plate.

And I would totally turn Golden Ship to a Purple Parrot episode. Gabby and Joe were way too slow of a team, and finishing with 1:30 on the clock while entering four rooms is not impressive. Imagine if a team like Robbie and Tina or Damian and Jennifer got this layout? It would've been a 2:00+ triple capture. It is hard to sympathize with these two when they move so slow.

I really don't understand why Golden Ship should be included. Would you really want to see another team actually lose with 2+ minutes on the clock? Unless of course that Purple Parrot team won 2 pendants. I don't know, I don't think Purple would've done a better job there. =/

The temple guard layout was crap for sure. In Gabby and Joe's defense, they went through four rooms and the half-pendant was no where in sight. And its not like they knew the direct path entrance room would have a guard since they were very early in Season 1. However, Joe's temple strategy was too obvious. I don't think any team would've avoided triple capture in that run unless they started in the Gargoyle Room.
