Twice in Season 1 actually, Stone Marker. Both Trojan Horseshoe and Geronimo featured that combination as well. ;)

Oh, I didn't see Mitchell the Strategist's episode there.  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue: Coincidentally, both episodes were the only runs with that combo from Season 1 AND they were wins.   :mrblue:

Plus, Dr. Livingstone used to be paired up with Trojan Horseshoe during the pre production order Nick Gas days. Both having opposite teams advancing from the steps too. Blue/Purple in Dr. Livingstone, and Green/Silver in Trojan Horseshoe. Another interesting coincidence there. ;)

And with a 7.33 average, time to end the poll for Blue-Green-Purple-Silver. :mrblue:  :mrpurple: :mrsilver:

Up next is Blue-Orange-Purple-Silver. :mrblue: :mrorange: :mrpurple: :mrsilver:

 :barracudas2: :iguanas2: :parrots2: :snakes2:

Episodes it was featured in: (Used in 4 episodes)
The Enormous Feather of the Me Linh
The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus
The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain

The Priceless Portrait of the Polynesian Girl

My vote and reasoning will come in the next post. ;)

I gave this match up an 8. I thought the colors looked very nice together, even though Silver kind of ruins it. And besides Enormous Feather, the episode selection was excellent. :mrorange: :mrsilver: It's funny how this combination literally did not happen until the last day of Season 2. And it happened TWICE on that day too, and then again in Sir Gawain. Too bad this was a very rare match up, I would've loved to see it happen more often. I would've rated it higher if it wasn't for Orange dominating a little too much. Plus, just like Red-Blue-Orange-Silver, Blue also did not advance from this pair either. On the flip side, Purple ALWAYS advanced from this, even though they didn't have a temple appearance. So it sort of makes up for it a little. :mrpurple: But I love how the colors look together, and I like the episode selection. So it ranks high for me. ;)

I like this combo a lot. The colors actually look pretty neat with this combo, and the I enjoy how rare it was. On one hand, a Purple Parrot fan would probably not like this combination because they went to the temple games and lost in each of these episodes. Especially when 3/4 of them were to the Orange Iguanas. On the other hand though, this combo featured 3 great episodes! I like how it took the last day of Season 2 for this combo to even appear. And two of them came on the same day! (Nostradamus and Polynesian Girl). Overall, I like the rareness of the combination, the episode selection, and the coloring of it. I will give it a 9. :mrorange:  :mrsilver:

And here are some interesting stats too:
- 2/4 of those episodes were failed escapes, while the other two episodes were wins
- 2/4 of those episodes were tiebreakers
- 2/4 of those episodes had bottom floor artifacts, while the other two were top floor artifacts
- 3/4 of those episodes were 1.5 pendant temple runs
- 3/4 were Orange/Purple episodes

Interesting how such a rare combination can have such interesting coincidences.

Here are some more:

- 3/4 of those episodes were taped last on their production day. (Nostradamus shared the same day as Polynesian Girl)
- 3/4 of the temple male runners had a name begin with J (Jason, Jahmel, and Jim)
- The frontrunners in the two wins were female, and the frontrunners in the two failed escapes were male players.
- Both Enormous Feather and Nostradamus/Priceless Portrait were part of a production day where the artifacts were all grabbed,

And after this, we have one more steps color combination to go. Then it's off to the temple game pairs at long last. Do you think the temple game ones will be more interesting to cover and discuss? I think they will be. ;)

And with a 7.60 average, time to end the poll for Blue-Orange-Purple-Silver. :mrblue: :mrorange: :mrpurple: :mrsilver:

Up next is the final Steps of Knowledge pair, Green-Orange-Purple-Silver. :mrorange: :mrpurple: :mrsilver:

 :monkeys2: :iguanas2: :parrots2: :snakes2:

Episodes it was featured in: (Used in 6 episodes)
The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible
The Lion-Slashed Jacket of Sacagawea

The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain
The Golden Pepperoni of Catherine de' Medici
The Oracle Bowl of Delphi

The Snake Bracelet of Cleopatra

My vote and reasoning will come in the next post. And tomorrow we shift our attention to the temple game pairs. ;)

I went with a 6. This group happened more often than I recalled. It's very unique. Not really any great episodes from it. But it's still cool looking.

I gave this match up a 6. I wasn't a huge fan of how the colors looked, but it looked alright. I didn't care about the episode selection here either. Besides Discarded Seal and Golden Pepperoni, the rest of the episodes were just average. I did like the even distribution of all the teams, where each team got a temple appearance at least once. So no team in particular dominated too much. Other than that, this combination is middle of the pack for me. It wasn't bad or anything, but there were worse pairs out there than this one. And Discarded Seal saves it somewhat too. ;)

This combo seems too bland to me. It probably has something to do with the colors. It looks like Halloween and Christmas colors mixed together. Episode selection wise, it is pretty average. I really don't hate any of these episodes. And I love Discarded Seal, Golden Pepperoni, and Snake Bracelet. Other than that, there is not a lot to say. This comes off as a forgettable combo with nothing special. I give it a 5.
