The Good-Luck Watch of Empress Eugenie featured a great effort by Jay to get the Watch. He was fast and he knew what to do. Had his partner not been so scared and hesitant, then this would've been a great win. I still like this loss though. Good loss.

Time for "The War Fan of the 47 Ronin" to go next. This was a good team that got screwed over by an event that was out of their control. Jeremy was fast and made it all the way to the Room of the Secret Password with over a minute left. Elise was fast too, but she lost thirty seconds due to a production error that was neither contestants fault. Even with all that time lost, she still made it one room away from the War Fan. Too bad they got screwed over, but at least they were given the second prize.

My second elimination of the day goes to The Pearl Necklace of Gwalior. Ryan did a great job. Dawn was kind of slow, but she knew what to do in the rooms. It was a very close finish to the artifact that just came up short. Despite coming up short, it wasn't a bad run. Season 3 top 20 material for sure.

This is starting to get tricky now...

"The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King" was a good team with a bad outcome. Maggie got unlucky by losing her pendant early in the Pit of the Pendulum. Josh had a good idea in the temple by going up to the King's Storeroom and bypassing the central shaft. Unfortunately, he passed the half-pendant and met all three guards. If the team didn't choose to go down into the Tomb of the Headless Kings, they might've won.

The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain also featured a good team that got stuck with a crappy layout. If it weren't for the temple guards, I'm sure they would've made history by grabbing a Dark Forest item. This is one reason why the Dark Forest is not a good place to hold items.

We are closing in fast on the bottom 15. Missing the bottom 15 though is "The Lost Taj Mahal Turban of Aurangzeb". Both Green Monkey players were average, but they made it pretty far with a layout that was similar to "The Mystical Spellbook of the Imperial Wizard". It would've helped if Dean moved a little faster or if Chrystine didn't miss the obvious half-pendant. Not that it mattered, the best the team would've done is reach the artifact had they found the half-pendant.

I don't think The Lion-Slashed Jacket of Sacagawea deserves to be in the bottom 15 of season 3. Lauren may have been slow, but she knew what she was doing in her center column trek. Mike was pretty fast too, but he made a couple of bad mistakes. If it weren't for that, then he would've finished the monkey in time and maybe would've opened the Room of the Secret Password. Average run that's just forgettable.

Starting off the bottom 15 is "The Melted Head of Madame Tussaud". This was more of an annoying than bad run due to incompetence on Nick's part. He wasted too much time in rooms whose objectives shouldn't have been complicated to begin with. He also took the direct path, which added a couple of more rooms onto the layout. When he was taken out, Jennifer had little time for herself to make it far, but she was smart and also did add two rooms of progress on. She even almost completed the monkey before time was up. If it wasn't for Nick, than this team could've maybe reached the Melted Head.

Now this is getting harder. There are a few runs I feel should go now, but next to go is The Bent Shaving Pan of Jedediah Smith. As slow as Irish was, she at least had an idea of what to do in the temple. She made it far on her own in her long stay and got unlucky with that last temple guard. Unfortunately, her lack of speed didn't give Brian a chance to prove himself. Not bottom 10 quality.
