Welcome to the Legends of the Hidden Temple "Best Legends win" tournament. In this tournament, we are trying to figure out the best win in the history of Legends. Every day I will hold a series of different matchups that will feature two wins on the show. Your job is to pick what episode you believe is the better of the two. After 24 hours. the episode with the most vote will proceed onto the next round.

"The Ruby Earring of Benzibab" beat "The Moccasins of Geronimo" 7-0 in the previous matchup. That means "Benzibab" will advance to the next round.

RULES:
- Each matchup will be open for a total of 24 hours. Once that window of time is up, the winner of the poll will be revealed.
- You are allowed to change your vote anytime during the 24 hour window. But the last vote before time is up is the one that will be final.
- All you have to simply do is select which of the two wins that you feel deserves to progress longer.
- You don't have to reveal your vote to the public, that is only optional. Your vote will be confidential until the 24 hour time frame is up.
- Please vote in the poll! The more people that vote, the more fun this tournament will be. All it takes is less than 30 seconds to vote.
- Have fun

"THE APPLEWOOD AMULET OF EMILIANO ZAPATA"

VS.

"THE IVORY HUNTING HORN OF ROLAND"

We are now officially into the second round of the competition, where we are down to 16 wins now. The competition will probably be more close now so in some of these matchups I won't reveal my choice right away. After this round, we will be down to 8 wins.

So yeah, I won't hide my choice for this one since its so easy - "The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata". It was a good team effort and a classic victory that came down to the very last second. You can never get tired of watching this win! The run was a nail biter all the way down to Olivia-Emma's exit plan. And besides, I don't think "Roland" should be in the final 16 wins. So this one is too easy to vote for.

I also set the poll where you can change your vote if you want to. But it must be within the 24 hour window of the matchup. ;)

***FEATURED MATCHUP***

"THE RUBY EARRING OF BENZIBAB"

VS.

"THE MOCCASINS OF GERONIMO"

This matchup right here is the last matchup for round one. Starting tomorrow, we will head into the second round of the Tournament and we will be down to 16 wins there. As the number of participants narrows down, hopefully we will have closer matchups. And the Freydis/Sforza matchup is still open for another half hour. I will edit in the results like usual once we are done.

Anyways, this matchup features two wins that I can hardly stand at all. Neither wins impresses me and I never understood the hype with either one of them. But for this matchup I am going with "The Ruby Earring of Benzibab". IMO, this win felt more deserving than "The Moccasins of Geronimo". In favor of the Silver Snakes team in "Benzibab", both Annie and Kevin were fast contestants. Their layout was simple, but they still finished with over a minute on a clock. That was no fluke right there. Although I remember everyone in the past gushing over this win. Its really not that great IMO and they wouldn't have had all that time if they were forced to take a tougher way like the "Imperial Wizard" and "Lost Taj Mahal Turban" kids did.

"The Moccasins of Geronimo" has to be the most overrated win on the show. I can't believe I placed this win in my top five at one time. Mitchell had to be the luckiest contestant on the show. Him opening the Treasure Chest was just dumb lucky and he was lucky that it opened for his temple run. That is the only reason people probably like this run because of the fact that the useless Treasure Chest works for him for once. But other than that, he basically walked through every room of the temple and the only exhausting objective he had to complete was spinning a Sundial. Oh yeah, let's not forget that he tried assembling the monkey at the end of the run. Maybe Kimberly was taking notes during his temple run.

"THE JEWELED SCABBARD OF SFORZA"

VS.

"THE MILK BUCKET OF FREYDIS"

Really, I never saw why "The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza" receives so much love. Lacey and Asher were enthusiastic contestants and everything, and they also did a fine job in the temple, but this win never grabbed me. The win always felt like it was given to them on a silver platter. Not to say that they didn't earn it, but I never felt the love that people gave to it.

On the other hand, "The Milk Bucket of Freydis" is a nail biter win and one of the best solo wins on the show. Tarrah was one of the few contestants that I can forgive for being slow. Actually, its not that she was a slow runner, it was more like she had trouble completing some of the temple rooms due to her short stature. She still made it to the Milk Bucket with 30 seconds remaining. Sure, she made a costly detour into the Secret Password but I can forgive it for her amazing effort at the end of the run. When she face planted in the Pit, I was impressed that she was able to get back up AND bring that huge artifact out of the temple despite the fact that she took that nasty hit. She was a true champ in her win and I can overlooked some of her mistakes for the good effort she put up. So this win gets my vote.  :mrpurple:

"THE METAL BEARD OF THE EGYPTIAN QUEEN"

VS.

"THE BELLY BUTTON OF BUDDHA"

Since I am back to classes during the week, I am making this matchup slightly earlier. The Map to the Lost Gold Mine/Enormous Iron Nose Ring matchup is still open until time expires. I will edit the winner in once it does. ;)

You know what, after a recent watching of "The Belly Button of Buddha", I have gained a new respect for this run.  Jennifer may have been a slow contestant and her path was sort of lucky, but she still had a solid solo run similar to "The Star of Sultan Saladin" and the like. Her only problem was that she moved so slow before reaching the Belly Button. This run would've been slightly better if only she picked up the pace.

With that said, I am still voting for "The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen". This win basically lives in the shadows of "The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen". It was still a very good win though and it was nice to see the Purple Parrots winning the temple run after winning their first (and only) tiebreaker. T.J. was very fast in his short stint in the temple, and Randy was fast all the way up to the Shrine. Her only problem was her exit plan that involved her running all over the temple. This is the only bad part about this run is the shouting at Randy by T.J. But other than that, its an overlooked Purple Parrot win and it was nice to see them win in season three.

"JOHN SUTTER AND THE MAP TO THE LOST GOLD MINE"

VS.

"THE ENORMOUS IRON NOSE RING OF BABE"

To me this vote is way too easy - "Map to the Lost Gold Mine". It is easily one of my most favorite team wins on the show. I know Damian and Jennifer didn't have to face  tough layout and they move kind of slow in other places, but it was a fun run to watch. Jennifer was one of the best girls on the show IMO and she was fun to watch in the temple. Plus, this was one of the few temple runs of season one where Kirk was excited and his commentary was decent. Plus, the ending is a classic.

As for "Iron Nose Ring"... it just doesn't impress me like it once did. Joel was fast and everything, but he did screw up big time on the top floor. He took a long time in the Shrine to assemble the monkey and he took the wrong way out of the temple. He was lucky that he had enough time to cover his mistake. If it wasn't for the easy temple layout and his fast speed on the bottom floor, perhaps this would've been a very close win. Or we would've had a loss similar to "Anne Bonny", "Sir Edmund Hillary", and "Johnny Appleseed".  :?

"THE LUCKY MEDALLION OF ATOCHA"

VS.

"THE MUCH-HERALDED HELMET OF SIR GAWAIN"

Interesting matchup, as it features both Orange Iguana solo wins. While I like both temple wins, I always thought that "The Lucky Medallion of Atocha" was the better win. Ty was one of the best male contestants on the show and rightfully earned his win. While he did drop his pendant at the beginning of the run, he was able to recover from it AND didn't take the direct path once. And in a way, the pendant dropping added to the memorableness of this run. It was an exciting win from beginning to end.

As for "Sir Gawain"... I do enjoy the win but it just does not have the same charm as "Atocha" does. Tiffani was a solid contestant, but her slow pace kind of kills the run. Plus, the temple guard dodging was a little too lucky IMO. I know she used her shortcuts and everything... but really not a single temple guard? The "Sojourner Truth" team had the exact same path, yet they met all three guards. Oh yeah, you can blame Nick GaS for me not liking this run as much either.

"THE JEWEL-ENCRUSTED EGG OF CATHERINE THE GREAT"

VS.

"GALILEO'S CANNONBALL"

To me, this is a matchup where I wish both wins would go onto the next round.  Seriously, both of these wins are amazing in their own ways and I hate to see either one of them eliminated this early. As far as my Red Jaguars bias goes, I am going with "Catherine the Great". This is one of the few reasons I am a Jaguars fan. I remember watching this run back during the original airing on Nickelodeon and it was always a fun win to watch. Both Kris and Kristen were a kick ass team and ended the show on a memorable style. Kristen was also one of the best girls on the show IMO. And of course, the fancy camerawork at the end of the run added to the memorableness of this victory.

Not to say "Galileo's Cannonball" is not a good victory. It was actually another nailbiter too and I wish that run would've progressed to the next round at least in place of "Roland" or "Genghis Khan". But only one win can progress, so that is the unfortunate part.  I still find this victory exciting and Jammin John was one of the best contestants on the show. For one of the earliest temple runs on the show, this team did a great job. And the ending is pretty funny too when John drops the cannonball.  Honestly, if this win wins this matchup, then I will not be too disappointed.

***FEATURED MATCHUP***

"LAWRENCE OF ARABIA'S HEADDRESS"

VS.

"THE VERY TALL TURBAN OF AHMED BABA"

This vote is easy for me - "Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress". That run is just a nail biter down to literally the last second of the run. Season one didn't have many good wins, but this one was an exception. Candance started out slow, but David was one of the best boys on the show. Victory looked bleak when he grabbed the Headdress with 27 seconds left. But he hauled ass out of the temple to literally win with one second left! This was a very exciting victory and David had one of the best exits on the show.

"Ahmed Baba" did have a lengthy layout, but Shane was lucky that there was not another temple guard in the path he took. Taking a long path is always costly and has hurt other teams before his episode and after his episode. Plus, it was kind of annoying to listen to with Kirk shouting "Shane" every ten seconds.

"THE MUSSEL-SHELL ARMOR OF APANUUGPAK"

VS.

"THE DIARY OF DR.LIVINGSTONE"

I am creating this matchup earlier than usual due to me starting classes tomorrow. The Annie Taylor/Cleopatra matchup is still open. Once the results are in, I will edit into the posts of this topic.

Another easy choice - "The Mussel-Shell Armor of Apanuugpak". After all, they were one of two teams to achieve a center of the temple victory on the show. Amanda started off slow, but Gator quickly picked up her slack and made it all the way to the Chamber of the Sacred Markers. He knew three minutes was not enough time to waste and scored a rare center of the temple win. One of the best wins on the show.

As for "Dr. Livingstone", it is just too forgettable for my taste. I don't even remember this being a win half of the time and its not very exciting anyways...

"THE LUCKY PILLOW OF ANNIE TAYLOR"

VS.

"THE SNAKE BRACELET OF CLEOPATRA"

I gotta go with the classic temple win right here - "The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor". Missy was a very exciting contestant to watch in the temple and her high emotions made this win very memorable. She may have not been Gator or Jarrid fast, but it was good enough to score the first solo win on the show. Just a great win you can never get tired of. I will admit that I like "The Snake Bracelet of Cleopatra" also, and I thought Robert and Tracy were above average contestants. However, their win was no very hard and exciting. And "Annie Taylor" is a classic, so its hard for other wins to compete against this one.

"THE SILVER HORSESHOE OF BUTCH CASSIDY"
VS.

"THE SECRET MAP OF THE BANDIT QUEEN"

Oh look, I don't even have to hide my answer today for this matchup. My choice will easily go to "The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen" and its not even close. Miriam may have been a slow and medicore player, but Zac was one of the best on the show. He really hauled ass when Miriam was taken out of the temple and scored the fastest temple exit on the show... when he was already on the other side of the temple on top of that! I can't stand "Butch Cassidy" at all and its such an overrated and undeserved win. The Orange Iguanas barely scraped by to get to the temple, and that included them winning the final temple game on a controversial call. And when Paula enters the temple, she literally does not enter a room with an objective. What a load of crap. At least Jeremy and Erika earned their way to the temple. One of my bottom five wins on the show.

"THE SNAKESKIN BOOTS OF BILLY THE KID"

VS.

"THE TROJAN HORSESHOE"  :P

Interesting matchup, as it features some of the more underrated wins on the show IMO. I thought both wins were decent and overlooked, but I am going to go with "Billy the Kid" on this one due to the fact that Purple Parrots finally won the temple run. That alone made this temple run slightly more memorable. Both temple layouts were simple, but "Billy the Kid" was slightly better and even if Tony's exit was a a little poor, it still made it a little suspenseful in a way. I like "The Trojan Horseshoe" also, but its not too exciting though and Lucretia moved a little too slow for me. If either one wins though, I won't complain.  ;)

Welcome to the Legends of the Hidden Temple "Best Legends win" tournament. In this tournament, we are trying to figure out the best win in the history of Legends. After 24 hours. the episode with the most vote will proceed onto the next round.

***FEATURED MATCHUP***

"THE COLLAR OF DAVY CROCKETT"

VS.

"THE HELMET OF GENGHIS KHAN"

Interesting matchup... both involve a set of wins that were neither spectacular or memorable. Both teams had simple layouts and were not very exciting either. For this matchup though, I am going to go with "The Helmet of Genghis Khan". The team in "Genghis Khan" put up a better effort than the "Davy Crockett" kids IMO. Becca may have walked through the temple, but Taylor followed up on her steps well and even reached the Helmet after she was taken out one room away. The ending to this run though is a classic, which is a reason why I am choosing it over "Davy Crockett".

As for "Davy Crockett", that win was almost as simple as our "" smiley train win, I thought Shannon was pretty decent and she had a good strategy, but Adam was entirely slow and made no effort to speed up after grabbing the Collar. There is no reason why this team had to finish with four seconds on the clock with such a simple layout. But either way, neither win is too exciting but I think the ending to "Genghis Khan" alone solidifies my pick for this win.

"       "

VS.

"THE IVORY HUNTING HORN OF ROLAND"

Oh look, a matchup between two of my least favorite wins on the show. Even though neither win is anywhere near my favorite, I will easily vote for "The Ivory Hunting Horn of Roland". It was a simple win and Yakerra honestly wasn't that great, but it was a much better effort than "     ". Seriously, "     " is easily the most undeserving win on the show. How does it take a full 2:30 to push two actuators and sit on a Throne? Erika wasn't a bad contestant, but Jeremy was slow and clueless. He looked around the rooms cluelessly and the stupid ending celebration makes this win more unlikable. They wouldn't have won if they had a to take the long way. Although "Roland" had a very simple layout also and she wouldn't have had a full minute left if her layout wasn't so simple.
