I am not surprised to see the Heart Room get some votes higher than a 1. A lot of people gave it a 2 in the other topic. At least this room wasn't pretending to be something special... like the Treasure Room. I HATE the Treasure Room. :xBoy, I rehash a topic for you, and this is the thanks you give me? Always a pleasure to help.

I agree with the Paintbrush too about bringing it back for a fourth season. This room was very memorable and a classic. It would be a mistake to remove it. ;) :mrred:Yeah, no entrance room could replace the Crypt. It was a classic room, for all the right reasons. ;)
Well that's okay! Good variety of opinions here!Oh yeah, of course. And look at the poll results too. A wide variety of people have ranked this room between 4-8. I know I ranked the room a little too high, but I really didn't mind the Quicksand Bog at all.
Yeah, one person even gave it a 6 too. I can't view votes, so I don't know who it was.
Maybe, if Robbie is lurking on the forums, and not gawking at Annie's cock. Or lack there of. :lol:Yeah, one person even gave it a 6 too. I can't view votes, so I don't know who it was.
It was probably our very own Robbie. :mrsilver:
Boy, this room is getting really high rankings so far. This just might be the highest ranked room. Though the Shrine will probably take that crown.
I will admit that when I was little that me and my sister pretended that our recliner was the Throne Room. As for the room itself, it is a bottom 5 room in my eyes. I really wish they would've done more with the objective. My idea for this room would be to have several different thrones in the room and have the player sit on the right one to open a door. It is better then sitting on one chair at least. I did like it when the contestants in S1 sat on it despite the doors being already open. :lol:I'm sure all of us have pretended our recliners, or better yet, our computer chairs were the Throne. I know I've done the latter quite a bit of times.

That must've been one big toy chest if it was meant to imitate the Treasure Room. :lol:I will admit that when I was little that me and my sister pretended that our recliner was the Throne Room. We also did the same thing with the Treasure Room too. We had an old wooden toy box where we treated it like the treasure chest. Looking back now though, there would NOT be a Treasure Room in my temple today.
I gave this room a 4. I think giving the Pit Room Space an objective wasn't a good thing to do, especially in Season 3. I liked it better when contestants could choose which door they wanted to try to open. Also, if a contestant fell off the pendulum but had to climb up to an upper door, the wall was difficult to climb because of the ledge.
Another thing I hated about the Dungeon was the ugly big tarp they had on the floor. Almost every contestant tripped on it when they entered the room. Also, the Dungeon guard in "Kamehameha" had trouble opening his door in order to capture Tina. And I also mentioned the color of this room was so ugly too. No wonder Kristen had trouble finding the breakable wall because it almost blended in with the Dungeon.Oh yeah, I forgot about the delayed temple guard in Kamehameha. Why hide a temple guard in there? Couldn't they have just hid it in the Tomb of the Ancient Kings? Yeah, what a dark and ugly room. How this room got approved at all is beyond me.
My favorite part is how the producers put two skeletons in the room and called it the Dungeon.
It just sucks that the room objective seemed to never work properly. Players would clearly have the snakes jammed into the head and nothing would happen. Then they would have to go fiddle with the snakes until the lights went off and the doors opened.
The four snake Medusa's Lair was the worst. Although some of those teams on Captain John Smith and Stone Head's day are lucky they didn't enter Medusa's Lair...Like the Silver Cannonball team.

I HATE THE TREASURE ROOM! :x
Sorry, this was the worst temple room featured on the show. All it was just a giant box in the middle of the room. Like the Paintbrush mentioned, it only worked one time. What is the point of the Treasure Chest then if it is never going to work? I mean it would work perfectly in runs like Hannibal and Zenobia. And don't get me started on the objective. It was just a Heart Room disguised as a treasure chest. Mitchell got extremely lucky with this room for sure. Lame objective, stupid name, lasted too long, only worked once, and an empty waste of space. That describes the Treasure Room perfectly. It will get a 1, no questions asked.
BTW I gave the room a 2 to make PPF do math.Fuck You.

Kidding of course. :P And yeah, the Treasure Room could've been so much more. I would've had more respect for the room if, oh I don't know.... ACTUALLY WORKED most of the damn time.
EDIT: To change "kissing" to "kidding."
And Stone Marker posts his thoughts before me. Since I bet you were so excited to talk about the "awesome" Swamp. ;)
The worst one is easily Larry's Monster Monkey. He didn't even come close with a minute to himself. Although Kim from Charles Lindbergh did a lousy job too. She kept dropping her pieces and putting them in the wrong place. :roll:Yet you fail to mention Kelly from Montezuma? At least Derek from Henry Hudson had some excuse, time was running out.
If this was the Season 2 version, I would give it a 10. This was a great and memorable room in my eyes. The concept was unique and definitely very fun to do. I always wanted to be the contestant to break the pots. Also, some of the pot designs were cool in this room. It was definitely one of the best rooms on the show. On the other hand, I would give the Season 3 version an 8. This version did not have the same charm as the original one. I didn't like the camera angle used and I preferred when the contestant could break the jars with their hands. Average them two together, I gave the King's Storeroom a 9 overall. For someone who gave this such a high ranking, you don't seem like you enjoy the room. Even Geronimo gave you the warm fuzzies more. :P
I gave the Mine Shaft a 6. I actually don't mind this room too much despite the criticism it gets. I thought the room design was rather fitting and it had some memorable moments. The one downside to it was that it was never a good idea to ride it because it was so freakin slow. But that is part of it's charm because it punishes the contestants who avoid shortcuts (Ahmed Baba not included because Shane was amazing  ) Unlike the Well, I actually liked the Mine Shaft and having an elevator in the temple was a cool idea. It wouldn't have been so bad though if it didn't ruin so many runs (Mush Pot Hat, Empress Theodora, Two-Cornered Hat, etc.)And Leopard Skin Cloak. ;) And of course NOT Ahmed Baba. Since you know, he won.
Yeah, the dark coloring was fitting for The Well, but not for the rest of the rooms that season. And notice how in Seasons 2 and 3 the Mine Shaft and Quicksand Bog respectively were never changed the whole season, at all? Granted, Season 3 never changed rooms, but it's good those rooms never changed. I can imagine it being a pain to change around elevator rooms all the time.
I gave the Tomb of the Ancient Kings a 7. It was one of the best rooms that came out of the first season. The objective wasn't very hard, but it was unique and more challenging than most Season 1 rooms. Also, the room design is pretty cool too. I like the desolate feeling the room gives and it feels like an actual tomb. The golden doors were a nice touch, even though half of them were useless. Also, this room had some of the best temple guard captures. This room was a solid predecessor to the Dark Forest.Case in point: Nick's jump out of the temple in the Great Seal run.

Why do you always post at the same time as me, TRJ? It's a little weird. :P
Or you're some sort of mind reader. ;)Why do you always post at the same time as me, TRJ? It's a little weird. :P
Not my fault you post like Kerry. :mrorange:
I gave the Jester's Court a 9! This was one of the staple rooms on the show next to the Shrine, Dark Forest, and King's Storeroom. It had one of the most unique objectives on the show and the design for the Jesters on the wall was top notch. It was definitely a step up from the previous rooms too (although I still love you Bamboo Forest ;) ).Quoted for truth. :mrorange:
