Episodes with similarities

I thought that this might be a fun topic and talk about something new at the same time.\

Anyways, what are some episodes that have glaring similarities? The similarities do not have to be from the temple runs, but those are usually where they are found anyways. While making similarities, try to shy away from episodes that are too obvious like episodes that share the same artifact locations.

Here are a few obvious episodes with similarities.

The Paintbrush of Leonardo Da Vinci
The Stone Marker of Leif Erickson
- Both episodes featured an artifact located in the Tomb of the Ancient Kings
- Both runs featured the girls of each team encountering a deadend in the Swamp area along with a temple guard.
- Both girls scaled the entire central shaft before being taken out in the Observatory.
- At least one contestant from each run entered the Room of Three Gargoyles at some point, but failed to press all three tongues which forced them into the Cave of Sighs.

The Belly Button of Buddha
The Milk Bucket of Freydis
- Both episodes featured an artifact located in the Observatory.
- Both episodes were solo wins by frontrunner girls from each team.
- Both episodes featured a solo victory and were the only solo victories by girls with two pendants.
- Both girls run into the Torch Room/Room of the Secret Password after completing the monkey.

Let's see if we can find more.

Upside-Down Compass and Lion-Slashed Jacket are very similar too. Both players on both teams were pretty slow, they both had to scale the central shaft (technically, the King's Storeroom in the Compass run was optional), the layouts were tough, and both runs ended in the Shrine.

The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon
- Both artifacts were located in the King's Storeroom.
- Both runs were Red Jaguars runs.
- Both boys started in the Crypt before being forced down into the Ledges.
- Both girls make a fatal mistake during the run that costs them the win (Kelly fails to assemble the monkey with plenty of time left and Carly takes the elevator instead of the Mine Shaft-Shrine door.)

The Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein
The Golden Spiderweb of Robert the Bruce
- Both artifacts were located in the Chamber of the Sacred Markers
- Both teams were forced to enter the Chamber via the bottom floor.
- Both frontrunners were girls who failed to pull all three books in the Crypt
- Both teams did not have any shortcuts to use during their run

The Hans Holbein run ended in the Dark Forest.

[Purple Parrots Fan]

Plus, Hand Holbein and Robert the Bruce were NOT filmed on the same day. The former episode had the "2 islands and a plank" moat, and the latter had the "net and vine" moat. But, both episodes WERE filmed last on their respective filming days. And both filming days that featured the aforementioned moats were all losses.

The Broken Trident of Poseidon

- Both artifacts were hidden in the Shrine
- Both legends took place in ancient Greece
- Both temple games were Green/Silver
- Green won one pendant both times
- The frontrunner in both runs made it to the artifact but was unable to bring it out
- Both artifacts were broken

-Both artifacts were part of an arm
-Both artifacts were in the Swamp room space
-The Orange Iguanas were in both runs
-Both teams moved too slowly and made the mistake of going the wrong way once
-Sometimes, I get these runs/episodes mixed up

Oops, I always forget thought that Hans Holbein is not part of the "impossible layout" day. Thanks for clearing that up, I will go edit my post. 

Also, good job with the Icarus/Poseidon comparison TSM. I would've never thought to find so much similarities between the two.

- Both artifacts are located in the Torch Room space.
- Both teams finished 1st in the Steps of Knowledge.
- Both teams won two pendants in the temple games.
- Both teams encountered their last temple guard in the Shrine.
- After assembling the monkey, both female contestants were forced down into the Well/Mine Shaft in order to take the elevator up to the room above.
- Both girls travel at to the center of the room from the Observatory. (although Tara travels down the central shaft)
- Both girls dropped their artifacts during the run.

The Dried Ear of Corn of Sojourner Truth
- Both artifacts were located in the Jester's Court.
- Both episodes dealt with a female figure getting arrested for one reason or another.
- Both teams that went to the temple had two full pendants.
- Both runs featured a second runner who was a girl that got confused in the Dark Forest when they were one room away from the artifact.
- Both girls reached the room of the artifacts as the run was ending (although Ashlie reached the Bonnet in her run.).

- Both artifacts were hidden in the Torch Room
- Both teams encountered all three guards
- Both frontrunners started in the upper entrance room and were forced down to the Cave of Sighs
- Both teams encounted guards in the upper entrance room and the center room
- Both backrunners cost their teams the grand prize by going down the central shaft on the way out

The Ivory Elephant of Scheherazade

- Both artifacts were hidden in the center room
- Both were Blue Barracuda runs
- Both temple games ended in sweeps
- Both teams were forced to visit both entrance rooms
- Both teams would've entered every room of the temple en route to the artifact

The Pendant of Kamehameha
Henry VIII's Great Seal

- Both artifacts were hidden in the Swamp room space
- Both were Silver Snake runs
- Both frontrunners were taken out in the Heart Room
- Both backrunners were taken out in the Tomb of Ancient Kings (yes, the third guard in Kamehameha was in the Dungeon, but Tina was able to enter the Tomb before being captured)

Word on Sir Edmund Hillary and Anne Bonny comparisons. I was about to come in and do those two. But you forgot to add how both runners dropped their artifact in the Throne Room.

For Henry VIII's Great Seal and Kamehameha, you can add how both episodes are about a king.

- The winning team in both episodes finished first in the moat, first in the Steps, won two pendants in the temple games, and brought the artifact out of the temple.
- Both episodes featured the team with a relatively easy layout and entered six rooms en route to the artifact.
- Both episodes were paired together when airing on Nick GAS.

The Golden Cup of Belshazzar
The Secret Battle Plan of Nathan Hale
- Both episodes were taped in the earliest layouts of their respective season, while their temple run was moved to a later layout.
- Both episodes featured an artifact located in the Shrine.
- Both teams won 1.5 pendants in the temple games.
- Both temple runs ended in the room to the right of the Shrine.
