The camera manoeuvers through a lot of plants and stops in front of an ancient Mayan Temple. Then, a talking stone head appears and says:
LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! (The pendant logo appears and the background shows the whole temple) With your guide, KIRK FOGG! (The pendant logo breaks into pieces) AND HERE HE IS NOW!!!!

Kirk swings in to the set and lands. He then says:
Thank you very much! Thank you! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend of each of the treasures of his temple. Which one are we gonna here about today?

Olmec: The legend of the Sack of Illegal Riches of William Farquhar!

Kirk: Ooh, The Sack of Illegal Riches of William Farquhar. Well, the legend is set, and one of these teams will have a chance to retrieve the sack of riches. Will it be... (The camera shows the team up close)

The Red Jaguars?
The Blue Barracudas?
The Green Monkeys?
The Orange Iguanas?
The Purple Parrots?
The Silver Snakes?

(The camera goes back to Kirk) They'll have to pass a lot of physical and mental tests, and in the end only on team will earn the right to enter Olmec's temple. But first, they'll have to cross the Moat, and Olmec will tell us how they'll have to do it today.

Olmec: Before you lies a hollow log floating in the Moat. When Kirk gives the signal, the first player will roll the log to the other side, with their partner moving on top of the log. If the second player falls into the water, both of you must begin again. Once both of you are across, run over and hit the gong!

(Kirk hits the Silver Snake gong to demonstrate)

Olmec: The first 4 teams to hit their gong will go on to the next round.

Kirk: Alright. Teams! Are you ready?

(The teams indicate they're ready)

Kirk: Olmec, are you ready?

Olmec: Oh yeah!

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(The Green Monkeys and the Blue Barracudas start off well, while the other players keep falling into the water, with the Red Jaguar hitting his butt hard)

Kirk: Ooh, that must have hurt. Remember, it takes balance.

(The Green Monkeys and Blue Barracudas are across, make it to the other side, and the Purple Parrots start to make progress by going slow and steady, while the others keep falling.)

Kirk: Blue is across, Green is across, the others need to scramble! And Purple Parrots make it! We need one more.

(The others are still struggling, and you can see the Moat losing its mist as the Red Jaguars almost make it)

Kirk: You gotta scramble, hurry up!

(The Silver Snakes start to maintain balance and races to the finish against the Orange Iguanas and it?s....)

Kirk: That's it! We got our 4 teams! (Kirk walks up to the Purple Parrots) Wow! You guys did a great job like everyone else! Going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Purple Parrots, and the Orange Iguanas, and the Green Monkeys, and the Blue Barracudas.

Kirk: The Red Jaguars and the Silver Snakes came up short, they're not gonna go away empty-handed, here's what they get.

Announcer: Skechers footwear(Description).

(Kirk and the teams are at the Steps of Knowledge)

Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the legend of the Sack of Riches of William Farquhar. But pay attention, guys, because your knowledge of the legend will bring you a step closer to the Temple.

Olmec: Singapore would not have been without the leadership of William Farquhar, Singapore's first Resident, which means President.

Olmec: In 1914, after Sir Stamford Raffles was able to get the natives to let Britian control Singapore, he left Farquhar in charge of the place. Farquhar was able to get people from Southeast Asia to stay and work in Singapore. He also was able to get food from Melaka to feed the people. He had a police force to get rid of crime in Singapore and encouraged the people to get rid of the pests like centipedes and rats for rewards.

Olmec: Things looked good for Singapore, but Farquhar was losing money fast and cannot pay the people. So, he decided to let people smoke opium and gambling dens were made legal. He even collected the money from them and not give it away.

Olmec: One night in his office, a group of British arrived to arrest him.

Olmec: "Under Queen Victoria, you are sacked for your illegal ways of governing and will be sent back to Britain. Take him away."

Olmec: They took all the stuff in his office, except a sack of money which fell out and ended up in the Temple. Your quest is to find the Sack of Rcihes and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thanks, Olmec, so tell us where the sack is.

Olmec: The Sack of Riches of William Farquhar can be found in te Room of the Ancient Warriors.

Kirk: Teams, you're now standing on the Steps of Knowlege. In a minute, I'm gonna ask you a qestion. If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or ran out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The first 2 teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to the Temple. Olmec, first question please.

Olmec: What is another meaning for Resident?
(Blue Barracudas stomp in)

Olmec: That is correct.

Kirk: Alright, Blue, down to the first step. Next question.

Kirk: Purple is just one Step away to the Temple Games, but the Green Monkeys and Orange Iguanas can catch up. Next question.

Kirk: Whoa! Malaysia! Quick thinking Green Monkeys. Just one more Step to the Temple Games. Next question, Olmec.

Olmec: That is not one of the 3 choices. The 3 choices are an

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Amazing comeback by the Green Monkeys. We need one more team. Who's it gonna be? Next question, Olmec.

Olmec: What did Farquhar do for opium smoking?
(Purple Parrots stomp in)
Male Purple Parrot: He let people smoke anywhere they want?
Olmec: (After a pause) That is correct.

Kirk: We have 2 teams right here, and they arethe Green Monkeys, and the Purple Parrots. Come on over, guys. The Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas gave a great effort, they are not going away empty-handed, here's what we got for them.

Announcer: A $50 savings bond from Melody Pops (Description)

Kirk: These 2 teams will be playing for the right to enter Olmec's Temple, and they will do it after this.

(The camera pans to the Moat and the pendant logo crashes and the screen fades)

(The show is back from break and the pendant logo splits and zooms out of the Jester?s Court to face the Pit of the Pendulum)

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But before we get started, let?s meet our team players.

Kirk: On the Green Monkeys, we have Josh who collects stamps and is into football, and Jessica who?s a dog lover and wants to be a vet to save animals. We got an animal lover in the Green Monkeys!

Kirk: And on the Purple Parrots, we have Michael who sings in the church and plays the guitar and Patricia who loves basketball and has a diploma for the piano. We got musicians here in the Purple Parrots!

Kirk: Why don't you girls get ready for the first Temple Game and the girls for the second, and I?ll tell you what?s gonna happen here. In the Temple Games, teams are competing to win pendants of life. The winning team will need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards as they make their way through the Temple. There are 3 temple games, and Olmec , tell us about Temple Game #1.

Olmec: William had to go across Asia to find people to live in Singapore. Now it?s time you helped him. Currently, you are now in the other parts of Asia and Singapore is just before you. When Kirk gives the signal, grab a flag of an Asian country and place it on Singapore. The player to get all 10 flags on Singapore, or the player with the most flags on Singapore at the end of 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Sounds like arresting people. But let?s just put 60 seconds on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(Patricia and Jessica get their first flags and place it on Singapore with no problem, but Jessica stumbles to reach the second flag)

Kirk: Green better be careful. (0:54)

(Patricia manages to get her 3rd flag on Singapore at 42 seconds while Jessica just manages to get her 2nd flag on Singapore)

Kirk: Green still tailing Purple, but it?s still anyone?s game. (0:38)

(Patricia gets her 5th flag on Singapore 11 seconds later while Jessica still struggles with her 3rd flag)

Kirk: Purple is speeding up now, it?s all about momentum. (0:25)

(Jessica starts to speed up after her 4th flag, but Patricia gets her 6th flag up after 8 seconds)

Kirk: Purple?s leading, Green has to speed up. (0:29)

(Patricia now grabs her 8th flag while Jessica still struggling with her 5th flag after 14 seconds)

Kirk: Purple?s really fast, get a move on, Green! (0:14)

(14 seconds later)

Kirk: That?s it! We?re done! (Kirk walks up to the girls) Now let?s see, Green got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 flags, Purple has 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 flag! The Purple Parrots get a half pendant of life.

Kirk: The Green Monkeys can catch up in the next game, it?s worth a half pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: William also made sure there would be food for the residents of Singapore. Your task is to assist him. When Kirk gives the signal, jump up, grab a piece of food and drop it in your bin. The player with the most food in 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Mmm... I?m getting hungry, so let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(Michael and Josh get off well with both getting their first piece in their bins.)

Kirk: Green and Purple are starting well. (0:55)

(Seconds later, Josh and Michael get their 3rd piece in the bin)

Kirk: They?re both neck and neck here. (0:42)

(Even after 30 seconds, they both have their 5th food in their bins)

Kirk: I can?t tell who is hungrier. It?s so close. (0:10)

(10 seconds later)

Kirk: That?s it! Let?s go check them out! (Kirk walks up to the players) Let?s see, Purple has 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 pieces of food. Green has 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 pieces of food too. They each get a half pendant of life!

Kirk: So Purple has one pendant, Green has a half pendant. We go to our 3rd and final game, it?s worth a full pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: William had a police force to wipe out crime in Singapore. And lucky for you, you?ve been enlisted into the police force. When Kirk gives the signal, grab a ball and aim it at the criminals in front of you. The team that knocks down all the criminals or the team that knocks down the most criminals at the end of 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Time to clean out crime. This is for the Temple. Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(Josh and Michael both knock down their first criminal)

Kirk: Whoa! They got their first one down! (0:56)

(Jessica and Patricia also knocks down another criminal)

Kirk: Whoa, they?re neck and neck! (0:48)

(Michael knocks down another criminal but Josh misses one of the criminals)

Kirk: Purple Parrots needs to knock down one more, but it?s still anyone?s game. (0:43)

(Jessica manages to knocks down hers but because of Patricia... (0:38))

Kirk: That?s it! Let?s stop the clock, because we?re done! (Kirk goes to the Purple Parrots) Wow! You got all 4 criminals that fast, so you get a full pendant, which means you get 2 pendants. The Purple Parrots are going to the Temple!

Kirk: The Green Monkeys gave a huge effort, they?re not going away empty-handed, here?s what they get.

Announcer: Hush Puppies Footwear (Description)

Kirk: We?re gonna see if the Purple Parrots can make it through Olmec?s Temple and retrieve The Sack of Riches of William Farquhar, and they?re gonna do it right after this.

(The camera pans to Moat and the pendant logo crashes and the show fades to break)

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! The Purple Parrots have proven themselves worthy and have now earned the right to enter Olmec?s Temple, but before we get started, Olmec?s gonna give them some information to help them retrieve the Last Teaching Scroll of Confucius

Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeletons, and pass into the Pit of the Pendulum. Knock over the column, and climb into the King's Storeroom! Smash the clay pots to find the key, that will lead you into the Chamber? of the Sacred Markers. Match the symbols on the right, to the rules on the left, and pass into the Rooom? of the Ancient Warriors! Place yourself in the correct armor, and open the door to the SHRINE of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Room? of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription, and shout it out to open the door to the Pharaoh's Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Quicksand Bog, where you could smash through to the Dark Forest? but beware the Temple Guards that may inhabit the treeeeees! Find the key in the tree and you'll enter? the Jester's Court! Press yourself against the correct wall painting, and you'll gain entry to the Tomb of the Headless Kiiiiiings! Pull the vines to release their bones, and attach the missing skull to its proper king! Then, race through the pit, CLIMB through the Ledges, rrrrrrace down the STAIRS and back through the Temple Gate! The choices are yours and yours ALONE! You won 2 pendants in the Temple Games. Who's going first?

Patricia: I am.

Olmec: Very well, Patricia. When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Sack of Riches. Hidden inside the Temple are temple guards assigned to protect 3 specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple, and it will Michael?s turn to try his luck.

Olmec: If you can reach the Sack, all the doors in the Temple will instantly unlock and the temple guards will vanish. Return to the gates with the Sack of Riches of William Farquhar in 3 minutes and you?ll both be handsomely rewarded, and here?s HOW!

Announcer: First, you?ll get a bike! (Description)

Announcer: Grab the Scroll in 3 minutes, and you?ll also receive this game table! (Description)

Announcer: If you can bring the Scroll out of the Temple before 3 minutes, you?ll both be going to Jamaica!

Kirk: Great prizes in store. Let?s see if they can make it. Patricia, get into position. Lower you gate, Olmec.

(Olmec lowers the gate)

Kirk: Let?s put 3 minutes on the clock!

(The clock bangs down with 3 minutes)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

Patricia goes  into the Crypt and immediately.... (2:53) ?Temple Guard, right off the bat!? She pulls the first book and heads into the Pit of the Pendulum. (2:47) She swings and knocks down the column (2:44), which opens the door to the King?s Storeroom. And lucky for her.... (2:40) ?Yes, she gets to the platform. Nice work, Patricia!? She enters the King?s Storeroom (2:35) and smashes every pot to find the key (2:33). The first keyhole opens the door to the Chamber of the Sacred Markers. (2:31) Once she enters the Chamber, immediately... (2:23)

?Temple Guard! Go Michael, go!? He makes it to the Chamber (2:04), and grabs all 3 markers (1:56). He puts all 3 markers correctly (1:50) and makes it into the Tomb of the Headless Kings (1:38). He pulls down all ropes (1:34) and keeps searching for the skull. ?It?s in the bones, somewhere, I think, should be.? When he finds the skull (1:28), he puts it on the king on the right, and it works (1:18). He enters the Jester?s Court (1:20) and tries the painting on the right, but nothing. (1:10). He tries the one in the middle, but also nothing (1:13). He tries the one on the left, and the door to the Dark Forest opens, but the lights do not dim (1:08). He goes into the Dark Forest (0:55) and goes for the tree on the right, but nothing (1:01). He goes for the tree on the left, and.... (0:48) ?Temple Spirit caught him moving.? There is no key, so he busts through the wall into the Quicksand Bog (0:43). He climbs up the ladder and presses the actuator, but nothing (0:37). ?The clock?s running out, you gotta move!? He climbs up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Room of the Secret Password (0:28) He shouts ?Klaatu Barada Nikkto!?, and immediately, the door opens to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey (0:25). He grabs every piece, and assembles the Monkey at a normal pace (0:10). He enters the Room of the Ancient Warrior and... (0:08)

?Get the Sack! He got it! Now get out!? He crawls through the tube to the Chamber (0:04) and goes into the Pit when... (Time?s up)

Kirk: ?Oh! She was so close to getting out with the Scroll. Oh, at least they get the bike and the games. We gotta get outta here, so we?ll see you next time for another Legend of the Hidden Temple. Bye!

(The camera pans to the Moat and the bottom floor while the credits scroll)

Three words: Hardest Layout Ever! They were giving too much to these contestants, especially since both Patricia and Michael were both good players throughout. They were lucky they got 2 prizes, though.

Good fanfic. This reminded me a lot like "The Bullet Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd" layout wise. But at least this team reached the artifact.
