The Treasure Room / You Know You've Watched Too Much Legends When...
« on: October 08, 2006, 04:26:59 PM »
You also know you've watched too much legends when you run around your house pretending to do a temple run using door knobs as actuators and making your friends dress up as temple guards.

You also know you've watched too much legends when you write an assignment based on an episode and the teacher offers to use it in the school newspaper.

I must admit proudly I've commited both of those "crimes"

The Heart Room / Favorite New Season Three Room
« on: October 01, 2006, 05:04:29 PM »
the chamber of the sacred markers is too over-rated. you couldn't even see the bottom half of the markers and the kids stood right in front of the wall so you didn't even know what was going on until the doors opened. also in many episodes when there was a temple guard in the door leading up, you could see the door moving.

The Heart Room / Season 1 solo runs
« on: September 30, 2006, 04:45:47 PM »
For a lot of season 1 run, especially the early ones, the doors never flew open. The had to slide the doors to open them up. This affected many runs outcomes especially the Dead Man's Hand episode. It seems the Throne/Swamp door simply unlocked while the Heaet Room door visibly opened. Isn't it weird how doors leading across had to be slid open and doors leading up always flew open!

That stupid Robotniks movie always cracks me up for some twisted reason. I really don't understand it though?!?

The Heart Room / Pendant of Life/Temple Guard Question
« on: September 29, 2006, 11:18:56 AM »
I just read the interview of the Sfortza with Asher and it said a woman showed the contestants a "recommended" path through the temple and the location of the the extra half pendant. That is extremely weird since there probably wasn't even a third guard (or was he in the ledges?) and if every contestant was told where the extra half pendant was I'm pretty sure more teams would find it. The layout was too easy also. It almost seems the producers wanted a guaranteed win for this episode. (And I'm sure they wanted a guaranteed loss for the Apple episode)

I'm pretty sure they didn't come up with layout right before the run because they would have given Brett and Screamin' Lauren a much easier layout! I think they use whatever layout the producers came up with for that certain episode regardless of age, ability etc...

The Heart Room / Pendant of Life/Temple Guard Question
« on: September 27, 2006, 02:26:47 PM »
Was there always a path the contestants could take to avoid the third guard? It would be pretty unfair if a temple run was predetermined from the beginning. Also was the extra half pendant of life present in every single 1.5 pendant run? Where was the third guard in the Sfortza episode? And finally, why is it that the only full episode I haven't seen is Gallileo's Cannonball! Sorry to barrage y'all with all these questions!

Your not missing much. The layout is a complete givaway.

The Heart Room / Daily Episode Log - GaS/TurboNick
« on: September 27, 2006, 07:16:20 AM »
This may sound weird, but I can stand this temple run. The girl finds the blasted key, and doesn't even try it. She takes the easy way out, plows through the stone wall and is caught by the temple guard. It would have worked because when the boy assembles the monkey, the door from the Shrine to the Forest flies opens. She could have had a incredible solo run had she taken the time to try the key. Also I do believe that the door from the King's Storeroom to Medusa's Lair did open although I'm not completely positive.

The Heart Room / Helmet of Ghangis Khan
« on: September 27, 2006, 07:02:25 AM »
This is one of two or maybe three episodes where they do the "outcome" explanation. The only other one I can remember having it was the Stone Marker of Leif Erickson. But overall that episode was weird(the contestants gave first and last names, the layout was practically impossible, and at the end of the credits it says Nickelodeon 1993 in a completely different font from any other episode.

The Heart Room / Am I the only one who loves the Mask of Shaka Zulu?
« on: September 23, 2006, 03:43:52 PM »
You know, it wouldn't be entirely out of the question for that door to open. It was only one room less than the Ivory Hunting Horn of Roland which I'm pretty sure wasn't a production flaw.

The Treasure Room / Make up your own places for the extra half pendant
« on: September 22, 2006, 09:12:38 AM »
I don't think anyone has made a topic like this and if it's in the wrong section forgive me.

My first idea for the location of the extra half pendant would be in the pot that contains the key in the King's Storeroom.

Any other ideas?

The Heart Room / Oh Yeah, That Looks Real
« on: September 21, 2006, 10:50:03 AM »
The should have made The Helmet of Sir Gawaine real metal, The Golden Jaguar of Atahualpa pure gold, the Smashed Printing press of Frederick Douglas real stone and Gallileo's Cannonball a real cannonball.
By the way they do look pretty pretty stupid in season 3.

When watching this episode I noticed a two or three second jump on the timer when the camera changed from the Holes to the Tomb. Also, the contestant had just barely entered the passage from the Holes to the Tomb when all of a sudden the scene jumps to him with the mask in hand. By the way, the contestant could have completed the temple with 1:30 if not 1:40 on the clock had he used the Tomb/Shrine passage. Oh Well!
