The Heart Room / The Jester's Court
« on: November 25, 2006, 01:20:12 PM »
Quote from: ""outer space""
that door was really small and it just worked out that way. How come there were never any guards in the well or vipers nest

The Viper's Nest lasted for only 15 episodes and hardly any team entered the Well. There were very few temple guards in those two rooms regardless of what they were called.

The audience switched between each event because according to the interviews they taped all the Moat crossings together, then all the Steps of Knowledge together, etc.

Why was there never a temple guard in The Jester's Court? There was an trapdoor to the left of the middle block, so temple guards wre planned by the production staff. There were no reasons a temple guard shouldn't be in the that room. Any ideas as to why?

I'm sorry. I was talking about the Holbein episode; that one could have been solo.

Actually, the Shrine/Bog door did open (you have to look extremely closely) so it could have been a solo run. Too bad!

That layout was used again in the Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein except the dead end this time was in the Crypt. Also this layout was used in the Water Bottle episode and the Ivory Elephant one except the Shrine/Forest door did open (but of course they didn't take it!)

The Heart Room / Common Layouts
« on: November 17, 2006, 02:40:46 PM »
Many of the same layouts were used over the course of the show. What do you think was the layout most used? This doesn't include temple guard placement but does include artifact location and doors that opened.

My vote would have to be the first season runs where the artifact was in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. There was (almost) always a dead end in the treasure room and the contestants would spend the majority of the time searching through the Observatory,Heart Room, and Treasure Room before finding the Throne Room/Room of Harmonic Convergence.

Any other ideas?

That door never opens. I am positive. The only other door that opened besides the Password room was the Bog which contained the third guard.

There was one from the Passage to the Password( entering from the slide) and one from the Password to the Passage which was inactive. There really was no reason for it to be there.

I don't know if anyone would consider trying this, but I would like to see someone come up with lyrics for the Legends opening music. I couldn't come up with anything, but I'm sure someone has an idea.[/i]

The article was really just a couple of writing assignments my teacher had decided to feature. My paper was about "The Star of Sultan Salidan." I followed the rooms exactly, however, I made temple guard jump out just a room away to make it more exciting. I also described Olmec as 12 feet and I also made it a one second victory!

In season 3 nearly all of the actuators in the temple were removed but a few remained.

How many actuators were in the temple during season 3 and where were they located? Also, how many of those actuators were new?
