Currently playing the piano, though it's getting harder and harder. Lucky I'm not paying for my lessons.

Harsh vocals in general are something I want to get better at.  Meanwhile, I'm trying out the opening riff to "For Whom The Bell Tolls" by Metallica, played one octave lower.

Vocals are also my forte. I've never been too interested in instruments, so once strings/band/chorus was not required in seventh grade, I quit and got another free period instead. :P

I'd do some covers and post them on YouTube, except that my voice sounds 1000 octaves higher when recorded (even by lowering the pitch in Audacity, it sounds really weird...) and I always break my microphone... i.e. fill the entire speaker output bar with sound. lol

You happen to have the link?

I'm a vocalist too, but I don't have a wide range (I blame puberty)

Well, since you talked me into it... :P

Call me bigheaded, but I thought it was not bad myself. Even when my voice sounds the 100+ octaves higher than it should be. Anyway, I tried lowering it a little, but it either sounded ridiculous or messed up the background audio. If you're wondering why the drums in the background sound like African folk dance, then I don't know.

Here's some Papercut for ya! *Looks at TBF, waiting for a good comment*

Sorry about my voice, the microphone is very sensitive. I guess my singing just hit the limit.

*Leaves a good comment*

LOL, I see what you mean by breaking the microphone though. Have you tried filming video instead of recording? But then you'd have a tough time doing the multiple channels of audio...

Not that bad at all. :)
