Title: Anybody follow the NBA?
Post by: PurpleParrot319 on May 11, 2012, 12:56:16 AM
Even if it's a little bit?

Lakers-Nuggets are gonna go to a game 7 and Metta World Peace is coming back from his 7 game suspension. How the fuck did I know this was going to happen? I mean, the winner of this game will face the Thunder and the last time the Lakers faced the Thunder was the game that got Metta suspended. There is NO WAY that the Lakers will lose game 7. Just watch, Metta's gonna troll everyone in game 7 and it will be the Lakers-Thunder in the next round. It's David Stern's destiny! Besides, a Thunder-Nuggets match-up won't bring in as many viewers compared to a Thunder-Lakers match-up. NBA's gotta have them dolla bills yo! :P

Seriously, this sport has become way too predictable over the years. It's almost as predictable as the WWE.

Nope, I don't like the NBA.

Sorry!

That's okay, it's probably best that you don't. ;)

I say that because a lot of people will agree that it's a rigged piece of shit.

I don't follow it anymore either. Part of it is due to the Wizards being atrociously bad and the other part is because the refs are even worse than football.

I have the NBA because its rigged and because all the players bitch too much.

National Bitches Association is more like it.

It wasn't so bad back in the day when Jason Kidd and Michael Jordan played, because everyone I knew watched it and those were athletes you could look up to. Now, it seems like a lot of the NBA players are corrupt and want to make a name for themselves by being badass.

Although I still watch an NBA game once in a while if there is nothing else on TV. I am not really a fan of NHL either, but I will take that over the NBA now.

The NHL rules! I mean, the playoffs are down to the final four over there and you wouldn't believe some of the teams that have made it this far: Rangers, Devils, Kings, and Coyotes. Especially the last two, and one of them for sure is going to the finals because they're facing each other. Good variety, even though my Red Wings are out already.

And as expected, the fucking Lakers won. :(

I hope the Thunder crush them in the next round.

Oh, I love the NHL too. I meant I rather watch an NBA game on TV rather than a hockey game. Its much better to go to a hockey game in person. And besides, I am a little bitter that the Caps lost tonight/

Overall, my preference is:

NFL > MLB > NHL > NBA

The biggest problem with watching the NHL on TV is that it's hard to keep the puck in sight. Not just that, but the ice is too bright for my eyes. Pure white. :|

You must be one of the ones who wants to bring the FoxTrax puck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FoxTrax) back, then. :P

I'm not too familiar with it.

It was used by Fox in the mid to late 90s:

I can already tell you who's going to be the last four teams remaining: Celtics, Heat, Lakers, and Clippers. Yep, both LA teams are going to be in the conference finals facing each other. David Stern envisioned this before the season started and he needs an LA team to go to the finals for them dollar bills. While the Thunder and Spurs are great, there's no way either of them are advancing.

The Celtics and Heat are obvious choices because of who they're facing right now.

Well, I got both LA teams wrong.

I would've been okay with the Clippers making it because they've sucked for a long time. I don't like the Lakers though. Great to see them out.

I'm intrigued by the Spurs-Thunder match-up. Two great teams we got here. The Spurs haven't lost since April and the Thunder are super strong too. I think the Thunder will expose the Spurs in this series. No one stays on top forever.

The Heat just beat the Pacers in six games. Looks like Miami is going back to the finals this year. :(

It will happen if the Sixers win game 7 against the Celtics. The Celtics can give the Heat a run for their money because it's going to be about the money. Which team do the refs like the most? :P

Oklahoma City has won the west.

Somewhere, thousands of TV screens in Seattle are being smashed to bits.

Just as I predicted, the Spurs were exposed in this series. Oh, and this was after they took a 2-0 series lead over the Thunder. What happened? It's like the Spurs fell apart or something. I knew the Thunder were good, but I didn't expect them to come back like that. I'm becoming a fan of this team. They're fun to watch and they don't have the refs/David Stern in their pockets unlike the two teams remaining in the east.

Speaking of the east, I'm interested to see how much David Stern loves the Heat. Down 3-2, will they come back and win two in a row for the series win? I hope not.

Heat-Celtics are going to a game 7, as expected. The Celtics just looked flat in tonight's game. There's no way they're going to win Saturday.

Heat are going to the finals. I don't think anyone saw this coming!

Well, this is one less viewer the finals is getting because I'm not going to watch. I know the Heat will win. Bank on it.

I think I speak for everyone outside of South Florida when I say Go Thunder.

Will the finals air on ABC or the Weather Channel? I'm not sure. :P

Since there's nothing good to watch tonight, I guess I'll watch the first game to see how it plays out. I know, I said I wouldn't watch, but it's a Tuesday. Nothing good to watch on Tuesday's.

And now the series is tied at 1.

Glad I didn't watch it. Took a couple of glimpses to see what the score was and now I'm very confident that this is the Heat's final to lose.

Sigh, looks like Lebron is finally going to get that first championship ring. Lock it up, he's got it. If his team wins the next game, double padlock.

Took a quick look at the current score of game 5 and the Heat got this. 95-71 entering the 4th quarter.

Well sports writers and analysts, there's Lebron's ring. Now will you finally shut up about him not having one? It was bound to happen sooner or later, no denying this.
