The camera manoeuvers through a lot of plants and stops in front of an ancient Mayan Temple. Then, a talking stone head appears and says:
LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! (The pendant logo appears and the background shows the whole temple) With your guide, KIRK FOGG! (The pendant logo breaks into pieces) AND HERE HE IS NOW!!!!

Kirk swings in to the set and lands. He then says:
Thank you very much! Thank you! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost of treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend of each of the treasures of his temple. Which one are we gonna here about today?

Olmec: The Legend of the Quipu of Pachacuti

Kirk: Alright, the Quipus of Pachacuti! Well, one of these teams will have a chance to retrieve the Quipu. Will it be... (The camera shows the team up close)

The Red Jaguars?
The Blue Barracudas?
The Green Monkeys?
The Orange Iguanas?
The Purple Parrots?
The Silver Snakes?

(The camera goes back to Kirk) They'll have to pass a lot of physical and mental tests, and in the end only on team will earn the right to enter Olmec's temple. But first, they'll have to cross the Moat, and Olmec will tell us how they'll have to do it today.

Olmec: Before you lies 3 vines hanging in the Moat. When Kirk gives the signal, swing on the first vine and grab onto the second, then swing again and grab the third vine and swing across. Once the first player is safely across, their partner will do the same. If your feet touch the water, you must go back and start again. As soon as the second teammate is across, run over and hit the gong!

(Kirk hits the Silver Snake gong to demonstrate)

Olmec: The first 4 teams to hit their gong will go on to the next round.

Kirk: Alright. Teams! Are you ready?

(The teams indicate they're ready)

Kirk: Olmec, are you ready?

Olmec: Let's get swinging.

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(Silver Snakes and Orange Iguanas swing across with great ease whil Blue Barracudas still has trouble grabbing the second rope. The other teams struggle, but make it to the other side after the Silver Snakes hit the gong)

Kirk: We've got our first team, we'll need 3 more.

(Then, the Orange Iguanas hit the gong and the first Blue Barracuda makes it across. But, too late. The second Purple Parrot and Green Monkeys hit the gong)

Kirk: That's it! We've got our 4 teams! (Kirk walk up to the Silver Snakes) Great job by both of you. You did it so fast! Going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Silver Snakes, and the Purple Parrots, and the Orange Iguanas, and the Green Monkeys. The Red Jaguars and the Blue Barracudas gave it great effort. We've got a great gift for them, here's what they get.

(Kirk and the teams are at the Steps of Knowledge)

Kirk: As the quest continues, it's time for Olmec to tell us about the legend of the Quipus of Pachacuti. But teams pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to the Temple.

Olmec: The Kingdom of Cuzco was renamed Tawantinsuyu under the rule of Emperor Pachacuti, which means "He who remakes the world" in the city of Quechua. He was the 4th emperor of the Hanan Dynasty and began an era of conquest that expanded from the valley of Cuzco to nearly the whole of civilized South America.

Olmec: Pachacuti wasn't supposed to be emperor because his father, Inca Viracocha appointed Pachacuti's brother, Urco, to be crown prince to be his succesor when he died. But Pachacuti proved himself to be crown prince when he defeated the Chankas, their tribal archenemies.

Viracocha: You have proven yourself worthy of being my succesor.

Urco: No fair! I'm the oldest!

Viracocha: And all you done was whine! Why should I let you be my succesor if you think everything is unfair?

Olmec: When Pachacuti was emperor, he had a lot to do. And when there were emergencies, he had to use his quipus to mark out what to give to each tribe, who to announce that tribe and more. This helped him to keep track of his kingdom. But somehow Urco stole one of the quipus and that quipu was needed because the famine came. The guards caught him, but the quipu disappeared. Your quest is to find the Quipu of Pachacuti and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thanks, Olmec. So where is the quipu?

Olmec: The Quipu of Pachacuti can be found in the King's Storeroom.

Kirk: Okay, teams. You're standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec's gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or ran out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The first 2 teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to the temple. Olmec, first question please.

Olmec: What kingdom did Pachacuti rule?
(Green Monkeys stomp in)

Olmec: That is correct.

Olmec: Pachacuti means...

(Silver Snakes stomp in)

Kirk: Wow! We got our first eam to the Temple Games. It's the Silver Snakes. We'll need one more, who's gonna be? Next question.

Olmec: What did Pachacuti use to keep track of his kingdom?
(Green Monkeys stomp in)

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: We've go our 2 teams right here. It's the Green Monkeys and the Silver Snakes. Come on here, guys. The Orange Iguanas and the Purple Parrots gave it a grwat effort, they're not going away empty-handed. Here's what they get.

Announcer: Hush Puppies footwear (Prize Description goes on)

Kirk: These 2 teams will be playing for the right to enter Olmec's Temple, and they're gonna do it right after this!

(The camera pans to the Pit and knocks down the column and pendant logo crashes and the show fades to break)

(The show is back from break and the pendant logo splits, revealing the Quipu)

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends. Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But before we get started, why don't we meet our team players.

Kirk: On the Green Monkeys, we got Abigail. She's into dancing and wants to be a ballerina, and Jacob is in the track team and wants to be in the Olympics. Let's hear it for the Green Monkeys.

Kirk: And on the Silver Snakes, we have Sally who's into figure skating and wants to be a doctor, and her partner Chris is into softball and wants to be a singer. Let's hear it for the Silver Snakes.

Kirk: Why don't you girls get ready for the first game and you guys for the second, and I'll tell you what's gonna happen. In the Temple Games, teams are competing to win pendants of life. The winning team will need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards as they make their way through the Temple. There are 3 temple games, and Olmec will tell us about the first one.

Olmec: Whenever there's a famine, Pachacuti had to supply food for each tribe in his kingdom. Your task is to help him to collect food. When Kirk gives the signal, jump up, grab a piece of food, and drop it in your bin. The player that collects all pieces of food (There were 12) OR the player that's furthest along in 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: I hope these kids are hungry! Let's put 60 seconds on the clock!

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(Abigail and Sally start off great and dumped their first food in their bins. Then, Abigail starts to speed up)

Kirk: Green Monkeys starting to pick up speed. (0:47)

(Abigail starts to lead 3-2 while Sally stays low to get the momentum)

Kirk: Green Monkeys leading slightly, you gotta pick up the pace, Sally. (0:32)

(Abigail dumps her 5th food in the bin, while Sally starts to miss the bin)

Kirk: Green is blazing, hurry up Silver (0:15)

(Abigail leads 7-4, but Silver tries to catch up but...)

Kirk: That's it! Time's up! Let's count the food! Green Monkeys have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 pieces! Silver Snakes got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 pieces! The Green Monkeys get the half pendant of life!

Kirk: The Silver Snakes can catch up in the next game. It's worth a half
pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: Pachacuti needed to send orders to his tribes about the Chankas, so he had to remember his routes there. You will have to remember where to go to send his orders. When Kirk gives the signal, go onto the steps and continue your way across. If the step falls, you must go back and begin again. The first player to reach the other side OR the player that's furthest along after 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Let's put 60 seconds on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(Immediately, Chris's first step falls while Jacob goes on. Luckily, Chris was able to get to his 2nd step while Jacob at his 3rd where he falls and has to go back)

Kirk: You gotta remember correctly, otherwise it's tough. (0:49)

(Chris was able to make it to his 4th step but after blazing (and with a bit of luck).... (0:30))

Kirk: That?s it! We?re done! Let?s check them out. Well done, Green Monkeys. You blazed across to the other side with plenty of time left. The Green Monkeys get another half pendant of life!

Kirk: So it?s the Green Monkeys with 1 pendant, the Silver Snakes don?t have any. We go to our 3rd and final game, it?s worth a full pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: Pachacuti needed to defend his kingdom against the Chankas. Fortunately, you will be helping him defend his kingdom. When Kirk gives the signal, pull your partner and push her towards one of the Chanka soldiers. The first team to knock down all their soldiers OR the team that knocks down the most soldiers after 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: The Silver Snakes will need this to tie. Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(Jacob and Chris start pushing their partners to the soldiers, and Green knocks down one but Silver misses by a bit)

Kirk: Push harder, Silver. (0:54)

(Chris did that and got his first guard, while Jacob needs to reposition where to push Abigail)

Kirk: Silver?s catching up, you better hurry, Green. (0:45)

(Silver knocks down their second soldier, and so does Green)

Kirk: Oh my, it?s neck and neck. (0:38)

(Chris is able to push Sally to the last soldier, but Sally pushes herself towards it, knocking it down and ending the game)

Kirk: That?s it! Let?s go check them out. Great job, Green. You got all 3 soldiers down, so you get the full pendant, which means both teams have a pendant. It?s a tie, so let?s bring our tiebreaker pedestal.

(The pedestal is brought to the set)

Kirk: Okay teams, Olmec?s gonna ask you a final question. If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you. You have 3 seconds, and I can only accept your first response. If you?re right, you and your partner will be going inside the Temple in search of the Quipu, but if you?re wrong or run out of time, I?ll give the other team a chance. All clear? Olmec, we?re now ready for our final question.

Olmec: Who stole the Quipu?
(The Silver Snakes ring in)
Chris: His brother?
Sally: Urco?
Olmec: (After a pause) That is correct!

Kirk: The Green Monkeys got it! They?re going to the Temple! Oh my! The Silver Snakes did a great job. They?re not going home empty-handed. Here?s what they get.

Announcer: A savings bond from Chef Boyardee (Description)

Kirk: Now we?re gonna see if the Green Monkeys can make it through Olmec?s Temple, retrieve the Quipu of Pachacuti, right after this!

(The camera pans to the Moat and pendant logo crashes and the show fades to black)

Kirk: Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! Chris and Sally have proven themselves worthy and have now earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple. But first, Olmec's gonna give us some information to help them retrieve the Quipu of Pachacuti.

Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeletons, and pass into the Pit of the Pendulum. Knock over the column, and climb into the King's Storeroom! Smash the clay pots to find the key, that will lead you into the Chamber? of the Sacred Markers. Match the symbols on the right, to those on the left, and pass into the Rooom? of the Ancient Warriors! Place yourself in the correct armor, and open the door to the SHRINE of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Room? of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription, and shout it out to open the door to the Pharaoh's Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Quicksand Bog, where you could smash through to the Dark Forest? but beware the Temple Guards that may inhabit the treeeeees! Find the key in the tree and you'll enter? the Jester's Court! Press yourself against the correct wall painting, and you'll gain entry to the Tomb of the Headless Kiiiiiings! Pull the vines to release their bones, and attach the missing skull to its proper king! Then, race through the pit, CLIMB through the Ledges, rrrrrrace down the STAIRS and back through the Temple Gate! The choices are yours and yours ALONE! You won 1 pendant in the Temple Games. Who's going first?

Sally: I am!

Olmec: Very well, Sally. When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Quipu of Pachacuti. Hidden inside the Temple are temple guards assigned to protect 3 specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a pendnat, you'll be taken out of the Temple, and it will Chris's turn to try his luck.

Olmec: If you can reach the Quipu, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock and the temple guards will vanish. Return to the gates with the Quipu of Pachacuti and you'll both be handsomely rewarded, and here's HOW!

Announcer: First, you're gonna get a CD-i player.
Announcer: Grab the Quipu and you'll both get a sports kit courtesy of Sportscraft.
Announcer: If you can bring the Quipu out of the Temple before 3 minutes is up, you'll both be going to Key Largo!

Kirk: Key Largo, I love it. Let's see if they can get there. Get into position, Sally. Lower your gate, Olmec.

(The gate lowers)

Kirk: Let's put 3 minutes on the clock!

(The clock bangs down with 3 minutes)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!!!

Sally runs up to the Crypt (2:54) She pulls the first book and the door to the Ledges open (2:52) She pulls the second book and enters the Pit of the Pendulum (2:50) She swings on the rope and knocks the column down, but drops (2:44) "She's heading for the Tomb of the Headless Kings." (2:41) "Temple guard! But she gives the guard their only pendant." (2:38) Sally pulls the vines and finds the skull after pulling her 6th vine (2:32) She places it on the left skeleton, and the door to the Jester's Court opens (2:28) She tries the right painting, but nothing (2:24) She tries the middle, but also nothing. (2:24) She tries the left, and the door opens and she enters the Dark Forest (2:17) Sally tries the right tree, but no key (2:16) She tries the left tree, and got the key and uses it (2:09) "She's headed for the Shriiiine of the Silver Monkey!" She gets the base and the middle and the head to the front of the room (1:54) She has the base on correctly (1:51), but has trouble with the middle and puts it correctly after Kirk says "Turn it around, it's upside down." (1:43) She jams the head down and enters the Room of the Ancient Warriors (1:41) She tries the left armour, but nothing (1:37) She tries the middle, but nothing (1:34) She tries the right armour and the door opens to the King's Storeroom (1:31) She runs up the stairs and grabs the Quipu (1:25)

"She's got the Quipu, now get outta there, you got time!"  She races across the Pit (1:20), passes through the Crypt (1:18), jumps down the stairs and... (1:16)

Kirk: She got out! She got out with so much time left! Unbelieveable! All  Chris had to do was watch! Whoa! We got to get outta here. See us again next time for another great Legend of the Hidden Temple.

(The credits scroll slowly while the camera pans to pretty much the whole set)

Temple Run Summary

The Quipu of Pachacuti

One pendant was enough for Chris and Sally, and it all came down to Sally. She was fast and her only guard in the Tomb of the Headless Kings. She knew what to do in each room, and as a result, this run is combination of The Lucky Pillow and The Milk Bucket put together. She even blazed out of the Temple after grabbing the Quipu. Kirk was excited, and everyone was cheering.

Rating: 10/10

Notes:

This is the first time an item was retrieved from the top of the central shaft in Season 3.

This is the 4th fastest win in Legends history and the fastest of Season 3.

Not bad. But some players in your series are shockingly fast! :wink:

LOL, make sure to throw in some Aqilas and Jackies too! Otherwise, it's quite good.
