Well, the patterns have nothing to do with what the words mean.  The last couple had to do with spelling; others might have to do with how the words are pronounced, but it has nothing to do with meaning.  So if you set a pattern, it's gotta be something that has nothing to do with what the words mean, but how they're written or pronounced, that determines which are "good" and which are "bad." And then other people have to guess, and the first to get five pairs of likes and dislikes right first gets to guess the pattern for the win.
