This is great news! We've all waited a lifetime for this show to get some kind of revival! I am interested on how the premise of this movie will work. I hope it becomes a success though and they can actually create a regular version of the show.  ;)

I actually think they are making the movie to get younger kids into Legends. Then, they will do a "Want to be on Legends, this is your chance!" thing right around the airing of the movie for a revival of a game show similar to the 90s show.

I think the kids reception of the movie is what will make or break that, though.

I wonder if they'll actually revive the show (create Seasons 4, 5, 6, 7, and so on).

Hey Guys, there's a Wikipedia page up for the Legends film.

Also, Dee Bradley Baker will not be voicing Olmec in the film. The role of Olmec will be voiced by Michael Benyaer.

Well, that's a bummer. :(

At least we have Kirk, so it's not a total loss.

If you have seen all 120 episodes of Legends, copy and paste this into your signature for all to see.

BIG UPDATE:

There are now conflicting reports as to who will be voicing Olmec in the Legends revival movie.

According to a March 23rd Twitter post by Michael Benyaer, he said he would be voicing Olmec.

However, in a Facebook post (click out of the video and you'll see the text) by the Facebook page of "The Splat" made yesterday, they announced that Dee Bradley Baker would be coming back to voice Olmec.

I've replied to this post made yesterday by "The Splat" citing the conflicting post made by Michael Benyaer, and will update you with any reply I get from "The Splat".

They must've watched Larry in The Mysterious Manuscript of Mary Shelley before they tried putting the monkey together.

Ok, here is what I gather from the trailer, and what I think it means:

Basically, the movie takes place in a time when LOTHT did happen. The young kid (with the  :monkeys2: shirt) either watched the show when he was young and bought a shirt, or his father/cousin exc. remembers the temple and gave him his t-shirt. Either way, the young kid has some prior recollection of the show, because he remembers the Shrine of the Silver Monkey and Olmec.

There are a lot of other things one can gather from the trailer, but one thing I believe is that the movie could be a promo for a game show that would follow.

One thing I talked about a  few months ago is that the reason LOTHT wouldn't work now is because the show (which is geared for kids) would get 85% of viewers from people above 18 years old. Now, with the movie, young kids would be excited to watch the show, and people that remember the original would be just as hyped.

I wouldn't be surprised if you see a "Do you want to be on the Show?" promos during the commercial breaks of the movie.

Anyway, this is pure speculation, but I think it's an opportunity Nick wouldn't pass up.

You make a strong point. I just watched the 360 video they released, and they have a bunch of Easter Eggs in it, like the Steps Of Knowledge outside of the Temple, a yellow helmet, and most obvious, a skeleton wearing a Silver Snakes shirt and Kirk saying that "an explorer was so startled by a Guard that he fled, never to be heard from again" while in search of Henry the VIII's Great Seal, and we ALL know what happened in that episode :-)
