Big mistake as the final temple guard in the Mine Shaft (yes, in there) ended the run with about 20 seconds left.

Summary: This team was pretty decent. The frontrunner tried for a direct path that prevented a win. When he was taken out in the Laser Lights right when he completed the objective, his partner  noticed the open Laser Lights/Pit door open, so she went through there. She also avoided a temple guard in the Dark Forest which for some reason was in the right tree. Pretty good run with a decent team.

Summary: This would've been a thrilling win if not for one fatal mistake: when the second runner assembled the monkey, the door down to the Dark Forest opened. If the second runner had used that shortcut to access the Shrine, there's no doubt in my mind this would've been a win.

Notes: This temple run had the potential to be a solo victory. Instead, the frontrunner did not go directly into the Room of the Ancient Warriors, like his partner did. He detoured into the Chamber of the Sacred Markers, where he not only met a temple guard, but it cost time. Also, the second runner did not use the Forest/Shrine passage after she assembled the monkey. She entered the Quicksand Bog instead, which cost even more time. Time ran out in the Dark Forest, just one room away. If it weren't for those mistakes, this would have been a win for sure.

Summary: One wrong turn on the part of the first runner cost him a chance at a solo win. He clearly appeared to be going for the direct path, having started in the Crypt and chose the Observatory from the Pit. Alas, he was forced down the central shaft and was taken out in the Throne Room. The second runner made a great effort to make up for lost time, and was even able to reach the artifact. Unfortunately, time ran out shortly thereafter.

Notes: Man, my second "season" is NOT off to a good start so far. Literally all the past five episodes of mine are all losses. And this run is no exception. While this was a rather tough layout, it would have helped if the second runner had spotted the half pendant in The Pit. He ended up going past it instead, and it cost the team dearly. The players did move pretty fast though, and they did know what they were doing for the most part. If the half pendant had been picked up, no doubt this team would have reached the artifact. But with 40 seconds left on the clock, victory would still be pretty slim.

I sure hope I get an artifact grab or a win soon. Oh well, at least I got a rare Blue vs. Orange match up in the temple games.

Notes: Finally, the bad streak has been broken! And no, this was not rigged. The Blue Barracudas were a strong team all day, by coming in first in the moat and Steps of Knowledge, and scoring a solid victory. After the frontrunner was removed in only three rooms, the second runner took over and blazed through the whole temple. She found the half pendant in the Pit, and needed it, and reached the artifact with 30 seconds left on the clock. She then escaped with 17 seconds to spare. Temple runs don't get any better than this.

Summary: Wow, what a tricky layout. The frontrunner was forced down into the Ledges, forced down from the Observatory (it was the only room that opened from the Pit of Despair), and encountered the second temple guard in the Mine Shaft with about 35 seconds left. The 3rd guard was in the Dark Forest, but the second runner didn't have enough time to get there. However, that player started in the Ledges and did manage to get to the elevator before time ran out. This layout was cruel. What a shame, both players were about Travis and Elisa level.

Notes: Wow, 2 wins in a row? This is definitely a good rebound from the very beginning of my second "season." Both players moved fast, and knew what to do in every room. The artifact was picked up with 50 seconds left on the clock, and a victory was scored with 22 seconds left on the clock. Great win, though if the frontrunner had started in the Crypt instead of the Ledges, it could have been a solo victory.
