« on: June 21, 2017, 09:30:37 PM »
This is one of the episodes of my L.o.t.H.T. revival prediction. For more info, click here.

Episode 2: Goliath's Severed Head

(Camera moves through a thick jungle taking two wrong turns and finally revealing King Olmec)

Olmec: Legends of the Hidden Temple!

(Title card forms)

Olmec: With your guide, Kirk Fogg!

(Title card shatters)

Olmec: And here he is now! With…my good son, Zuma!

(Kirk and Zuma swing on ropes into the new Legends set)

Kirk: Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Thank you Olmec!

Zuma: Thank you very much father!

Kirk: Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we gonna hear about today?

Olmec: The legend of Goliath’s severed head.

Kirk: Oh, Goliath’s severed head. Well, the legend is set and one of these six teams will have a chance to retrieve the severed head.

Zuma: Will it be:

(Camera shows each team cheering)

The Red Jaguars?

The Blue Barracudas?

The Green Monkeys?

The Orange Iguanas?

The Purple Parrots?

Or the Silver Snakes?

Kirk: They'll have to pass some pretty tough physical and mental tests, and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's temple. But first, the must cross the moat, and Olmec will tell them how they'll have to do it today.

Olmec: Before each of you is a wooden raft with an oar. When Zuma gives the signal, stand on the raft and paddle yourself to the other side. Then it will be your partner's turn to do the same. If you fall off, go back and start again. When both players have crossed the moat, run over and hit the gong. (Kirk and Zuma hit the Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes' gongs) The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.

Zuma: Are you ready teams?

Teams: YEAH!

Kirk: Are you ready Olmec?

Olmec: This rock is ready to roll!

Zuma: On your mark, get set, GO!

Blue Barracudas - 0:19
Purple Parrots - 0:35
Orange Iguanas - 0:43
Silver Snakes - 0:52

Kirk: We've got our four teams right here! They are: The Blue Barracudas, the Orange Iguanas, the Purple Parrots, and the Silver Snakes!

Zuma: The Red Jaguars and Green Monkeys will not go home empty-handed and we happen to have something for them.

Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about Goliath's severed head. Pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the legend will bring you one step closer to Olmec's temple.

Olmec: One of the greatest Philistine warriors was Goliath of Gath, who was a giant among his comrades. For forty days in the Valley of Elah, he challenged the opposing army of the Israelites twice a day.

Goliath: Hear me, weaklings! I am the champion of my kind! The greatest of all Philistines! I demand that you bring forth the greatest of yours so that we may decide the outcome of this war with a single combat!

Olmec: But the Israelites feared his power, and Saul, king of Israel, couldn't find anyone brave enough to step up to him. But on the 40th day, a challenger finally appeared.

Goliath: Is this a joke? I ask for a champion, but given a Sheppard's boy to fight with?

David: I am David, son of Jesse, and yes, I am your challenger!

Goliath: How can you possibly expect to vanquish me with only a staff and a mere sling?

David: Haven't you heard that great things come in small packages?

Goliath: If that is so, then I shall "unwrap" you, and see what's inside!

Olmec: With that, Goliath began his advance towards David, who armed his sling with a rock he found in a brook. With it, he took great aim, and the rock was flung at the giant, slamming him right in his cranium, causing the mighty Philistine to fall like a tree.

David: Now we'll see what YOUR insides are like!

Olmec: David then used Goliath's own sword to decapitate his head, causing the shocked Philistines to run away in terror. The Israelites gave a victory celebration in David's honor afterwards, and years later, Goliath's head was brought to the Temple. Your quest is to find the severed head, and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thank you Olmec, now tell us, where is this severed head?

Olmec: Goliath's severed head can be found in the SHRIIIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey.

Kirk: Teams, you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you'll move down to the next level. But if you're wrong or ran out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's temple. Olmec, we're now ready for your first question.

Zuma: Thank you father, now tell us, where is this severed head?

Olmec: Goliath's severed head can be found in the SHRIIIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey.

Kirk: Teams, you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you'll move down to the next level. But if you're wrong or ran out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's temple. Olmec, we're now ready for your first question.

Olmec: The Philistines occupied the southern coast of…Lebanon, Syria, or Canaan?

(Female Blue Barracuda rings in)

Zuma: Blue Barracudas

Female Blue Barracuda: Canaan?

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Step down!

(Blue Barracudas move down)

Kirk: We're looking for two teams. Next question.

(Female Silver Snake rings in)

Zuma: Silver Snakes

Female Silver Snake: Gath.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Now you guys are on the board!

(Silver Snakes move down)

Kirk: Next question, Olmec.

Olmec: Which of these words best describes Goliath's height?

(Male Silver Snake rings in)

Zuma: Silver Snakes

Male Silver Snake: Giant.

Olmec: That is not one of our three choices. The three choices are: Runty, common, or towering?

(Female Purple Parrot rings in)

Zuma: Purple Parrots

Female Purple Parrot: Towering.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Nice job!

(Purple Parrots move down)

Kirk: Next question, Olmec.

Olmec: The battle between the Philistines and the Israelites took place at the Valley of–

(Male Orange Iguana rings in)

Zuma: Orange Iguanas

Male Orange Iguana: Elah.

(Female Orange Iguana rings in)

Zuma: Orange Iguanas

Zuma: Blue Barracudas

Male Blue Barracuda: Twice.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Come on down!

(Blue Barracudas move down)

Kirk: Will you guys or the Orange Iguanas be our first team? Next question.

Olmec: Who was the King of the Israelites at this time? Saul–

(Female Silver Snake rings in)

Zuma: Silver Snakes

Female Silver Snake: Saul.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Step down!

(Silver Snakes move down)

Kirk: Remember, we need two teams. Next question.

Olmec: The man who accepted Goliath's challenge was–

(Male Blue Barracuda rings in)

Zuma: Blue Barracudas

Male Blue Barracuda: David.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: We’ve got our first team! It’s the Blue Barracudas!

(Blue Barracudas move down and high ten)

Kirk: Who’ll join them? Next question.

Olmec: David's profession was being a…Prince, Shepherd–

(Female Silver Snake rings in)

Zuma: Silver Snakes

Female Silver Snake: Shepherd.

Olmec: That is correct!

(Silver Snakes move down and high ten each other and the Blue Barracudas)

Kirk: We've got our two teams that are going head to head in the Temple Games! They are: The Blue Barracudas! And the Silver Snakes!

Zuma: Orange Iguanas, Purple Parrots, none of you will go home empty-handed either. Here are your gifts for playing.

(New Laguna Sportswear prize plug is shown)

Kirk: These two teams will play for the right to enter Olmec’s Temple!

Zuma: They will do it right after these messages!

(Pendant forms and “Legends of the Hidden Temple” comes out from behind it)

(Pendant splits and “Legends of the Hidden Temple” zooms out)

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends. Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But before we get started, Zuma and I will have a talk with the team players. On the Blue Barracudas we have:

Madeline: Madeline Whalen.

Kirk: How old are you Madeline?

Madeline: 14.

Kirk: It says here that you’ve been to Ireland. Now tell me about that.

Madeline: Well I have distant cousins there and I wish I could go back.

Kirk: Do they ever come to this country?

Madeline: They do. We’ll have a family reunion next year.

Kirk: That sounds amazing! Now who are you?

Aaron: Aaron Jervis. I’m 12 years old.

Kirk: It says here that you play basketball. Tell me about that.

Aaron: Well my dad coaches and my older brother also plays. I could be a better player someday.

Kirk: I sure hope so. Let’s hear it for the Blue Barracudas!

Zuma: And here on the Silver Snakes, we have:

Emma: Emma and I’m 13.

Zuma: It says here that you barely ever eat.

Emma: Yeah, my parents don’t want any junk food in our house and everyone at school makes fun of me for being skinny. Because they don’t want me eating junk food, I don’t think I can eat anymore even though they want me to.

Zuma: How tall are you and how much do you weigh?

Emma: I’m five feet tall and weigh 70 pounds.

Zuma: 70 pounds is way too low for someone your height. I imagine many others your height are much heavier. Your parents might know your weight is too low.

Emma: They know.

Zuma: Well tell them you need more food to gain weight. Now who may I ask are you?

Ian: Ian. I’m 12 years old.

Zuma: It says here that you play the guitar.

Ian: Well my older brother is still teaching me. He’s teaching me “Stairway to Heaven” and I’d like to play the whole song.

Zuma: Let us hear it for the Silver Snakes!

Kirk: Why don’t you girls get set for the next temple game and the guys are set for the first one here. In the temple games, teams will be competing to win Pendants of Life. The winning team will need those pendants to protect them from the dreaded temple guards as they make their way through the temple. There are three temple games, and Olmec will tell us about the first one.

Olmec: Before David challenged Goliath, he was tending his father's sheep. Before you is a ramp, and at the top is the sheep's pen. When Zuma gives the signal, push a sheep up the ramp until it's secure in the pen, then slide back down and start again. The player with all four sheep in their pen OR the player furthest along in 60 seconds wins!

Kirk: Alright, players get in position, let's put 60 seconds on the clock!

Zuma: On your mark, get set, GO!

Madeline - 4 (0:28 Remaining)
Emma - 2

Kirk: She got all four! That’s it!

Zuma: Madeline got all four while Emma got two.

Kirk: That means that the Blue Barracudas get a half a Pendant of Life! The Silver Snakes don’t have a pendant, but they can catch up in the next game. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: David found the stone he used for his sling at a brook. You have found one yourself, but it needs polishing. Before you is the entrance of a tunnel. When Zuma gives the signal, make your way through the tunnel pushing your boulder back and forth through the tunnel to smooth it out. The player to go back and forth the most times in 60 seconds wins!

Kirk: Alright, players get in position, let's put 60 seconds on the clock!

Zuma: On your mark, get set, GO!

Aaron - 4
Ian - 5 (Time is up)

Kirk: Time’s up!

Zuma: Ian went back and forth five times while Aaron went back and forth four times.

Kirk: That means that the Silver Snakes get a half a Pendant of Life! Our third and final game is worth a full Pendant of Life. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: David's rock hit Goliath right on his forehead for an instant knock-out. You will have to cover the whole body with them! One player is armed with rocks. When Zuma gives the signal, they must fling the rocks at their partner tied to a wall, who must catch them on their bodies. The team with the most rocks attached in 60 seconds wins!

Kirk: Of course, they're not gonna kill them. Let's put 60 seconds on the clock!

Zuma: On your mark, get set, GO!

Blue Barracudas - 13
Silver Snakes - 10

Kirk: That’s it! Time’s up. Let’s see how many each team got.

Zuma: Well Kirk it looks like the Blue Barracudas got 13 and the Silver Snakes got ten.

Kirk: That means that the Blue Barracudas get a full pendant, giving them 1½. The Silver Snakes only got a half. The Blue Barracudas are going to the temple!

Zuma: Silver Snakes, nice try. Did you have fun?

Emma and Ian: Yes.

Zuma: Of course, neither of you will go home empty-handed. Here are your gifts for playing.

(Marshalls prize plug is shown)

Kirk: We’ll see if the Blue Barracudas will make it through Olmec’s Temple and retrieve the severed head!

Zuma: They will do it right after these messages!

(Pendant forms and “Legends of the Hidden Temple” comes out from behind it)

(Pendant splits and “Legends of the Hidden Temple” zooms out)

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! Madeline and Aaron have proven themselves worthy and have earned the right to enter Olmec’s temple.

Zuma: But first, my father will give them some information to help them retrieve Goliath’s severed head.

Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Room of the Three Gargoyles. Push in the correct tongue, and pass into the Pit of Despair. Here, you must choose your next path. You could race up to the Observatory, spin the sundial, and climb down into the Heart Room. Open up one of the doors and you could enter the Treasure Room. You might open the treasure chest and climb down through it, or open the door to the SHRIIIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Pirate’s Cove. Spin the ship’s wheel and you can descend into the Dungeon. You can plow through the Stone Wall into the Dark Forest. But beware of the Temple Guards that may inhabit the trees. Find the key in the tree, and you’ll enter the Swamp. If you escape, you could gain entry to the Throne Room. Sit on the Throne of the Pretender, then race through the pit, come out the Cave of Sighs and back through the temple gate. The choices are yours and yours alone. You won 1½ pendants in the temple games. Who's going first?

Madeline: I am!

Olmec: Very well, Madeline. When Zuma gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the temple and make your way towards the severed head. Hidden inside the temple are Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on. BUT if you're caught without a pendant, you will be taken out of the temple, and it'll be Aaron's turn to enter and try his luck. Hidden somewhere in the temple is the other half of your pendant. If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life. If you can reach the severed head, all of the doors of the temple will instantly unlock and the Temple Guards will vanish. Return through the gates with the severed head in three minutes and you will both be handsomely rewarded and here's how:

Dee Bradley Baker:

First, you're both going to get…Apple Watches Series 2! The second generation of Apple's smartwatches. Water resistant up to 50 meters and uses a speaker for expelling residual water after a swim or after substantial immersion in water. From Apple Incorporated.

If you can grab the severed head before three minutes is up, you'll also receive…Northwest Territory Grand Canyon 20' x 12' tent! With its grand spacious cabin comfort design, the Grand Canyon 12-person tent feels more like a house than a tent. From Northwest Territory.

And if you get the severed head out of the temple before three minutes is up, then you'll both be going to Krystal Cancun! A resort for beach lovers with excursions to the Mayan ruins. It's rich in history and rich in pleasure for adults and kids alike. Krystal Cancun!

Kirk: They’re dying to go to Cancun. Well, let's see if they can.

Zuma: Father, will you lower gate, please?

(Olmec moans gutturally while the gate lowers)

Kirk: Get in position. Mouthpieces in. Put three minutes on the clock!

(Timer bangs down)

Zuma: On your mark, get set, GO!

(Temple run music cues and HUD moves in on screen)

Madeline heads down into the Cave of Sighs and immediately encounters a Temple Guard (2:58)! She gives up her pendant and heads for the upper crawl tube. It opens and she crawls through and jumps into the Pit of Despair. She tries the door to the Observatory which opens (2:37). There, she spins the sundial and finds the other half of Aaron’s pendant attached to it (2:26). She then heads down into the Treasure Room, tries the door to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey to no avail (2:11), and opens the treasure chest leading her down into the Swamp (2:04). She climbs down, opens the Dark Forest, finds the key in the camera-right tree and opens up the Shrine of the Silver Monkey (1:46). She climbs up, picks the severed head off the pedestal (1:41), and makes her way through the Treasure Room and Observatory. She jumps down into the Pit of Despair, makes her way through the Cave of Sighs, and back out (1:14)!
