Episode 77px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Map to James Marshall's Treasure."

"All right! Well, the legend is set," Kirk says in response, "and one of these six teams will get a chance to retrieve the Map to James Marshall's Treasure.  Will it be:
"Martin and Jamie of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Jordan and Emma of the Blue Barracudas,
"Dan and Kendall of the Green Monkeys,
"Devon and Jessica of the Orange Iguanas,
"Justin and Viviana of the Purple Parrots,
"Or T.J. and Rachel of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "but in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  First, they?ll have to cross the Moat, and here's how they'll do it today??
"Well, the Moat's frozen! So, one player from each team is sitting in a sliding ring.  When I say go, he'll use the rope to pull himself along until he reaches the other end of the ice.  Then he'll slide the ring back across the ice to his partner and his partner has to pull himself across to the other side of the Moat."
"As soon as the second player steps out and onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will be going into the next round.  Teams: Are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"Let's get rollin'!" Olmec replies.
"All right!" Kirk says in response. "On your marks teams, get set, GO!"

The teams? first players all make good time pulling themselves across, with the Red Jaguar and Orange Iguana first across, but the other teams close behind.  However, quite a few of the team players don?t throw the sliding rings far enough the first time; the Green Monkeys, Orange Iguanas and Silver Snakes do, but the other teams need to retry.  While the other teams are re-throwing, the Orange Iguana girl clambers out of her inner tube and runs over to hit her team?s gong.
?There, we got our first team going on to the Temple Games!? announces Kirk.  ?The Orange Iguanas!? The Green Monkeys and Silver Snakes place second and third just as the Purple Parrot catches the sliding ring and gets in; the Red Jaguars and Blue Barracudas are still trying to transfer the inner tube. ?We?re looking for one more team!? Both the Jaguars and Barracudas need to retry, and while the Parrot isn?t the fastest at pulling herself across, she still manages to do so before the other teams get the inner tubes across.
?That?s it!? Kirk shouts, and the camera shows him running onscreen to stand with the Green Monkeys around their gong. ?Green Monkeys did a nice job getting across.  Going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Green Monkeys, and so are the Orange Iguanas?? the camera briefly shows each qualifying teams? ?and the Purple Parrots? and the Silver Snakes! The Red Jaguars and the Blue Barracudas gave it a great effort too.  We got a nice gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? Martin, Jamie, Jordan and Emma will each be receiving a copy of How to Eat Fried Worms on DVD.

The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, now it?s time for Olmec to tell us about the Map to James Marshall?s Treasure.  But pay attention, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"On a January morning in 1848, a man found something shimmering in the waters of a channel under the mill he worked at.  His name was James Marshall, and he and his employer John Sutter realized that what he found was gold.
" 'I don?t believe it!' exclaimed John.
" 'Should we keep this little secret to ourselves?' James asked his boss.
" 'Of course! But you should make a map to show me where you found it.  There might be more than that one little nugget.'
"James listened to John?s advice and made a map to where he found the gold, but one of the other workers snuck in and stole the map.  He told the rest of the workers, who told their friends, and soon enough, everyone in the United States knew there was gold.  James and John kept that one gold nugget while everyone else spent the next two years mining in the surrounding area for gold and finding much, much more.  After it was declared there was no more gold, the stolen map was thrown away, and it made its way to the Temple.  Your quest is to retrieve the Map to James Marshall?s Treasure and bring it back here."

"Thank you Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So tell us, where is that Treasure Map?"
Olmec replies:
"The Map to James Marshall?s Treasure can be found in the Junction of the Secret Shafts." The camera zooms in on a rolled-up map situated on top of the outside wall of the Junction of the Secret Shafts, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we're now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Did James Marshall find: Silv???
A stomp by Devon interrupts Olmec: ?Gold.?
?Nice job, Orange Iguanas, step down,? says Kirk, and the Orange Iguanas move down to the second level. ?Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?When James found the gold, was he working at: Sutter?s Mill???
Justin cuts Olmec off this time: ?Sutter?s Mill???
?Correct,? says Olmec in response.
?Purple Parrots, step down!? Kirk shouts, and the Purple Parrots move down to the second step. ?Next question, Olmec!?
Olmec now asks:
?James Marshall?s finding sparked the Gold Rush.  Which state was this in: Florida, Nevad???
Kendall hits the marking first: ?California.?
?Green Monkeys, step down!? says Kirk, and the Green Monkeys also move down to the second level. ?Silver Snakes can still catch up.  Next question.?
Olmec then asks:
?Were the gold miners during the California Gold Rush called: Thirty-Niners, Forty-N???
Viviana rings in: ?Forty-Niners.?
?That is correct,? replies Olmec.
?Purple Parrots are now just one step away from the Temple Games,? says Kirk, gesturing for the Purple Parrots to move down onto the penultimate step. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Did James discover the first gold nugget in: 1848, 1849 or 1850??
After a second, Rachel gongs in: ?1849.?
?Incorrect,? Olmec answers; Rachel has a dumbfounded look on her face.
Justin buzzes in: ?1848???
?That is correct!? shouts Olmec, and the Purple Parrots jump down onto the bottom step.
?All right, we got our first team moving on to the Temple Games!? Kirk announces. ?It?s the Purple Parrots! We still need one more team; will it be the Green Monkeys, Silver Snakes or Orange Iguanas? Let?s keep going.?
Olmec then asks:
?According to legend, was the Treasure Map stolen by: A coworker, A bandit ???
Rachel stomps down and guesses: ?A coworker???
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?Silver Snakes are on the board!? Kirk announces, and the audience applauds as the Silver Snakes move down to the second step. ?Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec?s next question is:
?Was James Marshall?s boss named: Joe, John or Billy Bob??
Rachel rings in again: ?Uh? John.?
?That is correct,? says Olmec in response.
?Good comeback by the Silver Snakes,? remarks Kirk as the Silver Snakes move down to the third step, ?and now they?re ahead of the other teams and just one step away from the Temple Games! Olmec, next question!?
Olmec continues:
?According to our legend, did James Marshall and John Sutter end up with???
A stomp by Dan interrupts Olmec: ?Uh? They just got one gold nugget and that?s it.?
?You are correct, sir!? Olmec responds.
?Green Monkeys now just one step away from the Temple Games!? comments Kirk. ?Orange Iguanas can still catch up.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Is the capital of California: San Diego, Sacramento or Rancho Cucamonga??
While Olmec is providing the third choice, Rachel steps in: ?Sacramento???
?THAT IS CORRECT!? Olmec shouts, and the Purple Parrots move over to make room for the Silver Snakes to hop down onto the bottommost step.  The two teams then make room for Kirk to walk up onto the bottom step and stand behind them before they congratulate one another.
?We got our two teams right here!? Kirk announces as he turns to face the camera. ?They are the Silver Snakes and the Purple Parrots! The rest of you guys, come on down.? The Green Monkeys and Orange Iguanas walk over to where Kirk is. ?You gave it a great effort too.  You?re not going away empty-handed, we got a great gift for you both and here?s what it is.? Dan, Jessica, Kendall and Devon will each be receiving a $50 U.S. Savings Bond provided by Skechers.
The camera cuts back to Kirk, the Purple Parrots and the Silver Snakes at the bottom of the Steps of Knowledge. ?These two teams will be playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera zooms in on the gongs up in the Room of Temple Gongs before fading to commercial.
Title: Rediscovery EP: The Map to James Marshall's Treasure
Post by: The Ancient Warrior on October 18, 2009, 06:20:59 PM
Kirk is standing in front of the Mine Shaft between the last two teams. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now is the time when the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest? so let?s hear it for Justin and Viviana of the Purple Parrots!? The camera zooms in on the shot, brown-haired boy with freckles and the equally short, curly-haired Hispanic girl as the audience cheers for them. ?And T.J. and Rachel of the Silver Snakes!? The long-brown-haired boy with hazel eyes and the dirty blond girl clap along with the audience. ?You guys ready to play?? Kirk asks.
?YEAH!? The players shout their reply.
?All right, then go get ready for the Temple Games!? Kirk says.  Justin and T.J. then walk offscreen in one direction, Viviana and Rachel in another. ?In the Temple Games, each team is competing for?" he opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "Pendants of Life.  The winning team?s gonna need the Pendants to protect them from the DREADED Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  There are three Temple Games, and Olmec will tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec begins:
?After James Marshall found the first gold nugget at Sutter?s Mill, people came from all over the world to find more, and they often took very complicated paths to get there.  In this game, you must travel through a forest with a torch for light.  When Kirk gives the signal, put your torch behind your head and make your way through the forest.  Whenever you come to two branches, you must find a way to maneuver between or around them, and you must always have your torch behind your head and both of your hands on it.
?The first player to exit the forest? or the player that?s closest to the end after 60 seconds wins.?
The camera segues to Kirk. ?Hunting for gold??  he says. ?Guess so.  Players, get into position.  Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? A countdown clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Early in the game, Rachel has a lead over Viviana, but she picks up the pace after starting off slow.  Rachel makes no effort to speed up and reclaim her lead after Viviana gets further ahead, however.  Viviana even takes a wrong turn closer to the end and has a little trouble squeezing through two bamboo arches in a row simultaneously, but it still doesn?t slow her down enough for Rachel to completely catch up.  Viviana makes it through the tight spot and escapes from the forest with 21 seconds left, just two seconds before Rachel.
?That?s it!? declares Kirk. ?Purple Parrots did a great job and made it out first by a nose, so they get the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds briefly. ?Silver Snakes can catch up in this next game, it?s worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.?

Olmec continues:
?After the first gold nugget was found, a lot more turned up and were claimed.  In this game, you?ll just have 60 seconds to find as many as you can.  When Kirk gives the signal, climb on the wheel and adjust your weight to make the wheel spin.  When it makes one full rotation, it means you have found one more gold nugget.  The player who finds the most gold in 60 seconds wins.?
?More gold hunting,? Kirk says. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen, and Kirk dashes off to the side. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
From the start, Justin has a lead over T.J. that?s only helped more by T.J. falling off the wheel for the first time with 36 seconds left.  It takes him a while to get going again, but once he?s back on he tries his best to make up for lost time.  Justin falls off once in the last seconds, but T.J. stays on for the rest of the game.  When the clock hits zero, a pattern of ceiling spotlights flashes to indicate that the game is over.
?All right, time?s up!? Kirk announces. ?The Silver Snakes got 10 pieces of gold, but the Purple Parrots got 14! Purple Parrots get a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds again. ?The Purple Parrots have a full Pendant, the Silver Snakes still haven?t scored, but they can catch up in the next game, it?s worth a full Pendant.  It?s the third and final game.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3.?

Olmec narrates:
?According to legend, James Marshall had a map of where the gold was found, but it was stolen and then shared among the Forty-Niners.  In this game, you must share some maps with your partner.  When Kirk gives the signal, grab a map and walk out to meet your partner at the middle of the path.  Then pass the map to your partner, and your partner will slide back and place it in your bin.  Then, go back to your starting position and do it again.
?The team with the most maps in their bin after 60 seconds wins.?
?Silver Snakes need this game to tie,? Kirk explains. ?Set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock then appears in the corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
As soon as Kirk shouts ?Go,? the players walk against the force of the bungee cords attaching them to the walls behind them using the handholds in the raised sides of the tracks.  The players have a lot of trouble walking against the force of the cords, but both teams have managed to score at least once after about 20 seconds have passed.  However, T.J. and Rachel score sooner, and due to Justin and Viviana being shorter players, it?s easier for the Silver Snakes to reach each other than it is for the Purple Parrots.  The ceiling spotlights flash to indicate the end of the game when time runs out, and Kirk promptly reappears onscreen.
?All right, time?s up!? Kirk says, walking through the corridor between the tracks and grabs the teams? bins.  The kids run over to join him as soon as they?re freed from the equipment. ?Purple Parrots got one, two? three messages, Silver Snakes got one, two, three, four? five messages! They get the full Pendant, that means each team has a Pendant and we go to a tiebreaker! Bring in the tiebreaker pedestals!?

?Okay, just stand behind there, Purple there, Silver over there,? Kirk says, and the players follow Kirk?s gestures and stand behind the pedestals. ?Here?s the tiebreaker rules.  In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you.  You?ll have three seconds to answer and I must accept your first response.  If you?re right, you and your partner will be going inside the Temple in search of the Treasure Map, but if you?re wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other team a chance.  All clear?"
The players nod in response.
"Olmec!" Kirk shouts. "What?s the final question??

Olmec asks:
?To get to California by sea, Forty-Niners from Europe often went around the southern tip of South America.  Is this the: Cape of Good Hope, Cape Horn or Cape Hatteras??
After a moment of hesitation from both teams, Justin bangs the gong first: ?Cape of Good Hope???
?Incorrect,? answers Olmec.
?All right, Silver Snakes?? says Kirk, holding his microphone up to the Snakes? mouths.
T.J. guesses: ?Cape Horn???
?That IS correct!? Olmec?s voice booms, and Rachel screams in excitement as she and T.J. high-ten several times.
?It was a tough match, but Olmec?s made his decision!? Kirk declares. ?The Silver Snakes are goin? to the Temple!? Kirk then goes to talk with the Purple Parrots. ?These Purple Parrots gave it a great effort all the way through, it was close and I wish we could send everyone to the Temple, but we got a great gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? Justin and Viviana will each be receiving a copy of the Teen Titans Game Boy Advance game.
The camera shows Kirk standing behind the tiebreaker pedestal with the Silver Snakes. ?We?ll see if the Silver Snakes can make it through the Temple and retrieve the Treasure Map of James Marshall,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera rushes around the equipment for the third Temple Game, stops in front of the Crystal Cave and zooms in on the stalactites before fading to commercial.

Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs next to T.J. and Rachel. "Welcome back to Legends," he says to the camera. "The Red Jag? Silver Snakes broke the tie and now they?ve proven themselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, Olmec's gonna give them some information to help them retrieve the Map of James Marshall's Treasure."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Great Chasm.  Crawl through the pit, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Cathedral, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts, where you can grab the Map to James Marshall's Treasure.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Dungeon.
?There, climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Geographer?s Study.  Take the correct book off the bookshelf to open the door? to the Shrine? of the Silver Monkey.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, and you could advance into the Laser Light Room.  Find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and swing on the rope back across the Great Chasm.  Then, pass through the Arctic Antechamber, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone!? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 1 Pendant in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am," says T.J.
"Very well, T.J.!" replies Olmec as Kirk hands T.J. his Pendant of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Treasure Map.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and it'll be Rachel's turn to enter and try her luck.  Hidden somewhere inside the Temple are the two halves of your Pendant.  If you can find both of them, you will get an extra life.  If you can reach the Map, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Map in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how!"
?   For just making it into the Temple, they?re both going to get a skateboard provided by Vans.
?   If they can grab the Map within three minutes, they?re both going to get a $250 Target gift card.
?   If they can get the Treasure Map out of the Temple before three minutes is up, they?ll be going to Quebec City!  They?ll be staying for three days at Delta Quebec, with an indoor exercise room, an outdoor heated pool and an underground mall and they?ll be there during the Carnaval de Qu?bec.  Delta Quebec, for a prize package totaling $10,696!

"All right! Let?s see if we can get these guys to Quebec," Kirk says before turning to Rachel. "So Rachel, tell us: What?s your strategy?"
"Well," she explains, "we?re just gonna go as left as we can, and if we can?t make it in to the Map and we go too far past it, we?re gonna find some way to come back."
"All right," says Kirk. "Time to see if it works out.  T.J., let?s get you out in front.  Put your mouthpieces in.  Let?s set the clock for three minutes." The countdown clock appears onscreen. "Olmec, lower your gate!"
Olmec groans gutturally as he lowers the gate; the blue lights under him are turned off.
"On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There goes T.J., up into the Temple!? Kirk announces as T.J. jogs up the steps. ?They?ve got one Pendant, they need all the luck they can get!? T.J. lands in the Arctic Antechamber and looks around for a bit, trying to figure out what to do. ?He?s gotta bust through those ice rocks to move on!? T.J. walks over to one of the ice walls and pushes it down, then does the same to the other two walls.  He notices the open door into the Great Chasm and moves on (2:37).  He reaches out for the rope, taking a while to get a hand on it.  When he finally grabs the rope, he swings across the gap, and then jumps down off the far ledge without trying the actuators for the doors leading into the Cathedral and Laser Light Room.  He crawls over to the door into the Crystal Cave, hits the actuator and slides down through the tunnel (2:19).
?He?s right next to the Map, but now he?s gotta pull on those icicles here!? explains Kirk as T.J. runs to the door leading into the Junction of the Secret Shafts, checking to see if it?s open and then trying to open it himself.  Once he gives up on that, he looks around the room. ?Pull down the icicles!? T.J. looks up at the stalactites, then pulls down each using both hands.  The last one he pulls down? the one behind the ladder? opens the door upward with 1:54 left, but T.J. looks over at the Junction door, then heads back towards the Great Chasm.
?He?s gotta keep going forward!? Kirk says at 1:48. ?That door doesn?t work, he?s gotta go up into the Dragon?s Lair!? T.J., having crawled back into the Great Chasm and stood up within the room, slides back through into the Crystal Cave and walks over to the ladder.  He slowly climbs up and sets foot in the Cathedral with 1:31 remaining. ?And now he?s gotta pull the glass off the walls and bring it to the? TEMPLE GUARD!?
A Temple Guard emerges from the side door in the Cathedral, ambushing T.J. with 1:24 on the clock. ?He?s gotta give up the Pendant!? T.J. hands over his Pendant of Life with little hesitation, then continues his search for the pieces of stained glass (1:17).  He puts each piece in place after finding it; the first is in the window with 1:06 remaining, the second with 54 seconds left and the third with 44 seconds on the clock.  When the window is completed, the black pattern on the walls lights up violet, and the door into the Knights? Barracks opens; T.J. moves on and enters the next room (0:40).
?All right, now he?s right on top of the Treasure Map of James Marshall!? Kirk remarks.  T.J. takes the sword off the front railing and puts it in the scabbard sticking out from the rightmost suit of armor?s helmet, but the gauntlets of the armor come to life and grab him as a voice bellows ?GOT YOU!!?? the armor?s possessed by a TEMPLE SPIRIT!
?Oh, Temple Spirit! Go Rachel!? shouts Kirk.  Rachel takes a few seconds to even head off into the Temple; she passes through the gate with 28 seconds left.  She heads into the Arctic Antechamber, jumps down into the Great Chasm? not noticing the open door leading directly into the Cathedral? and enters the Crystal Cave with 14 seconds to go. ?Not much time left to get to the Treasure Map? I wish they had a map right now!? Rachel climbs up into the Cathedral and crawls through into the Knights? Barracks? but we?re out of time!?
?Ugh? That?s it!? Kirk remarks, alone in the foreground. ?Time ran out in the Room of the Ancient Warriors and they couldn?t get there in time.  They tried and gave it a great effort and they still get the skateboards just for playing, but we gotta get outta here.  Check us out next time for more adventure and another great Legend of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? T.J. and Rachel reappear in the foreground and rooms like the Knights? Barracks and Shrine of the Silver Monkey are shown as the credits roll.

Temple Run Summary
Episode 77px]

Name of Artifact: The Map to James Marshall's Treasure
Season: 2
Layout: 5 (9 overall)
Result: Failed acquisition
Time Remaining: N/A
Team: Silver Snakes
Pendants Won: 1
Location of Artifact: The Junction of the Secret Shafts

After one of the best episodes in the layout, we get this atrocity.  The Silver Snakes weren't a good team at all during the day.  They placed third in the Moat, which wasn't the worst, but they were second during the Steps of Knowledge, notably missing on a question that let the Purple Parrots get to the bottom first.  They narrowly avoided an elimination by the Green Monkeys at the Steps, and then won only the third Temple Game to force a one-Pendant tiebreaker.  I have a feeling they wouldn't have gotten the tiebreaker question right had the Parrots not answered wrong first, either.

Finally, there was no excuse for this Temple Run.  T.J. was very slow, hesitant and didn't have a good idea of what to do at all.  He spend two-and-a-half minutes in the Temple before being taken out in the FIFTH room, the Knights' Barracks.  Rachel didn't have enough time to make any additional progress, but she did ignore a shortcut while in the Temple, and judging by her poorly-phrased strategy, she might have been a poor Temple Runner as well.

Trivia and Records:
Kirk almost calls the team the "Red Jaguars" before Olmec's Temple rundown; this episode might have been after or between "The 96th Thesis of Martin Luther" and "The Great Seal of the Axumite King." As a personal note, what irked me even more about this episode were the Temple Games; the first two were extremely loosely based around the legend, having almost no relation whatsoever.  The producers really should've tried harder.

That Temple Run is awfully reminiscent of the run in "The Stone Head of the Evil King" if you ask me. Same path, same room space for the artifact, same temple guard locations (save for the bottom of the central shaft).

If "John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine" & "The Stone Head of the Evil King" got together and had a kid, this is the episode they would make. :P

Not bad...not bad at all...
