The N which currently shares a channel with Noggin is scheduled to replace Nick GAS by the end of the year. Nick GAS will become a broadband channel on TurboNick. So start taping Legends while you can.

Indeed, this is true. I was just going to put it on the forum, but you beat me to it.
Despite what some may say, I don't mind this change a whole lot. It shows that Nick is at least thinking, for once. Maybe, just maybe, Legends' time has come.
-
According to Broadcasting Newsroom (http://http://www.broadcastnewsroom.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=171570) the change will take place on December 31 of this year. So that leaves us with roughly four and a half months of Nick GAS.
-
alright so I read both articles... Legends is going off the air again?

Looks like it unless for some reason Nick decides to add it to The N network. Episodes should still be available on TurboNick when Nick adds the Nick GAS section.

That's assuming they'll keep the channel online like the channel is on TV, which isn't necessarily the case.
-
Do you think maybe they'll try to put it on the main channel yet again?
-
I knew this was coming, when Nick GAS started airing all shows in order of being made, you know something wasn't right. About the TurboNick thing, if Legends' makes it on to it (which it should), this will benefit people with no NICK Gas. But, if you have a slow internet connection (like myself), you may have a hard time seeing Legends.
Oh well.
-
This fucking sucks... I want to see Legends ALL the time. They should just make new episodes.

Or you could quit being needy and selfless.
You know, either one.

Or we could put a stop to this right now and stay on topic.
This board holds freedom of speech, swearing is fine, now if we can't get this back on topic we're going to have to lock it.
Now, to get back on topic.
As I've stated before, it really isn't that big of a difference to me seeing as how I never got GaS, however, I know it will be a difference to a certain someone on YouTube who ridiculed me for my video making such a big deal about Legends being on Nickelodeon. He was giving me some shit about how I might as well go out and buy the 1000 extra channles.
Well he has a surprise in store.......

As my first post here I want to share the good news I have found. It looks like GaS isn't totally going away. From an article on buzzerblog.com it seems that Nick GaS will be going to continue online or "broadband only" as it states in the article. So maybe we are not at a total lose. Also this would mean if I am correct that those of us that don't have Nick GaS (like me) will now be able to watch our Fav. show online

Good, it's just like the first post said, then.
Welcome to the forums, and do enjoy yourself (and the complimentary cupcakes).

I hate to burst your bubble, Really I do since it's bad for me as well, but Nick GAS is not going to be like it is on TV. In the article, it said that Nick GaS online will be about community sports and Let's Just Play and all that stuff...

I just wish that they'd make a WHOLE NEW CHANNEL for the N and leave Nick GaS the FUCK alone!

Hell, I just wish they would remove 85% of the current shows on Nick and replace them with the classic shit, but, don't we all?

I've known about this for awhile, but let me get this straight...
Nick GAS becomes The N- and shows crap like Degrassi all day..
Noggin continues to be Noggin, and shows stuff like Blue's Clues and whatnot all day..

Right. Suckiness is Nickelodeon's universe's form of entropy. It always increases with every action that's made.

Well, if it can get Nick better ratings...
On another hand, though, who honestly expected to be able to watch Legends for 14 years? We got our fair share, and it was a blast.

Yeah, I agree that Legends' time has probably come. It's been on a good long time--I was really lucky to see it again after its initial run--but now it might as well just be a memory, especially since I haven't watch it in years.
-
Maybe we should start a petition in order to save Nick GaS from being removed from the mainstream TV lineup? :?:

You know what really makes me mad? The fact that they're making friggin' NOGGIN 24 hours a day while Nick GAS dies a silent and sad death. I don't care what they say, 3 year olds are not up at 2 in the morning. THEY SHOULD'VE LEFT NOGGIN THE WAY IT IS AND GIVE THE N'S TIME TO GAS!
But as it's been pointed out, Nickelodeon builds around sucking.
I think this is only happening because Nickelodeon pretty much abandoned Nick GAS...I mean, same schedule since 2005 with only 7, later 6 shows airing, no blocks, no original series...So this is Nick's fault.

I'd watch noggin just for this chick.

I really really really hate to do this to you but it is way too good to pass up.

For some reason, I was anticipating that.

Most pedos on the net would really like to stick their hands up ... oh, that's gross.
-
Hey guys, I got an idea. Starting on the first day when Nick Gas is gone, contact Nickelodeon just by writing, "Bring Back Nick Gas." The more you do it, the better of the chances they'll bring it back.

It is my experience as part of the Legends fandom, that Nickelodeon rarely responds to those sorts of things.
-
Everyone's making a big deal about Noggin, but The N is the real trouble here. I already said this in another thread that didn't get off the ground but The N literally has less shows than GAS. Of course, Nick is going to make a crapload off of this change.
-
I heard that one of the shows that'll be on there is "That 70's Show" reruns
-
umm if lotht gos off the air will this forum die ?

Not if you can help it.
Besides, the majority of the activity going on at the moment is in the Jesters' Court at it is now; it won't change that much in the future.

On that note I would like to mention that things have been slow here lately, however, I myself have never had Nick GAS, hell, when I started this forum Legends was basically off the air for me, so I don't see much of a change, but I would like it if we could do something to bring back the Legends interest in our community.

Wait...where did you here this? On the New York Times they mentioned Nick GAS to go online and may align itself closer to local community sports. That doesn't mean they will go on a deleting spree and delete everything non-sports related. Legend's still has a chance. And if by any chance they DO go on the deleting spree at least we will still have GUTS...
-
It's because Nick isn't going to explicitly say that they're going to cancel all their current GAS shows. I'm not expecting Legends to make the cut, personally.

Yugh...that's true. They always do whatever to thier shows withou even notifying the viewers...it feels like Nickelodeon has completly lost hope on Nick GaS and in themselves.-shakes head in shame-

Nickelodeon's not he one to blame here. It's those heartless "who-gives-a-f---" executives at Viacom who need to take the blame. First they delete everything Legends-related on YouTube, now they possibly might get rid of "Legends" for good since GAS is going broadband. Viacom is a cruel mistress.

Also they are responsible for they beasts we know as...-le gasp- NEOPETS...(Random, I know)
Anyways as I've said it seems as if Nick GUTS will be the only show to qualify for GaS broadband. And viacom doesn't give a crud to make any new shows proboly. This means unless they're fine with only having one show on GaS Online they HAVE TO keep /some/ they have currently on TV to the online version. But screw it I wouldn't be surprised if they end up just showing GUTS over and over and over and over and over again on the broadband channel. It's always a shame seeing good shows placed in the wrong hands...
-
Ok, I know GUTS is sports-related and all, but what makes you think it's 100% official for TurboGAS? You know how Nick is with their old shows. It will probably just be Let's Just Play stuff made specifically for the broadband channel.
-
you never know what could happen
