Rate the Legends Room - Day 43: Jester's Court

Keep the Dungeon all season? That was like, one of the ugliest, worst rooms possible. That ranked low for a reason, unless we rank it again, like we "would" for the Treasure Room.

Oh yeah, they should've just kept the Treasure Room all season too. That way it could ruin more temple runs and have no purpose. And Mitchell would've been considered a mastermind for being the only contestant to strategically use it.

And he's still the only contestant with the oh so awesome "strategy" either way. So we still win in that aspect. Also, the first two temple runs both had artifacts hidden in the Mine Shaft. So I guess that room is doing something right.

I gave the Mine Shaft a 6. Not a bad room. Really good concept.

Day 37 - Tomb of the Ancient Kings
Objective: Find the key in the sarcophagus, or plow through the wall.

I gave this room a 7. I thought this room was really neat looking, and I liked the pink and blue colors that went with it too. It really blended in well with the golden doors and the gray, stone wall. The objective was rather easy though, just grab a key in the coffin, or bust through the wall. Still, it was a cool room, but I liked the Dark Forest room and objective a little better.

I gave the Tomb of the Ancient Kings a 7. It was one of the best rooms that came out of the first season. The objective wasn't very hard, but it was unique and more challenging than most Season 1 rooms. Also, the room design is pretty cool too. I like the desolate feeling the room gives and it feels like an actual tomb. The golden doors were a nice touch, even though half of them were useless. Also, this room had some of the best temple guard captures. This room was a solid predecessor to the Dark Forest.

The objective wasn't very hard, but it was unique and more challenging than most Season 1 rooms. Also, the room design is pretty cool too. Case in point: Nick's jump out of the temple in the Great Seal run.

Case in point: Nick's jump out of the temple in the Great Seal run.

Yeah, Great Seal was the one that came to mind.  And there is the Kamehameha guard too, even though it didn't come from the Tomb.   

The same thing also happened to Tim in Gordian Knot except that it wasn't as dramatic. Albert's temple guard during the Dragon Lady run was pretty frightening too. And Lea's guard in Sultan Saladin made her fall to the ground.

Yeah, I liked Lea's "yelp" when she ran into her temple guard in the Tomb. Same with the lazy temple guard emerging from the Dungeon at the end of the Kamehameha run. Tim's temple guard encounter in Gordian Knot was pretty funny too. He also jumped out of the temple, but it wasn't as dramatic as Nick's big jump, like you said.

I went with an 8. It gets a bit of a boost in score from me for being a truly great looking room from the first season.

Day 38 - Treacherous Holes of Python
Objective: Crawl through the holes, and proceed to the next room.

I gave this room a 6. It was a pretty neat room, and I liked the concept of the holes in the room. It made traversing through the room a challenge, and it certainly beat wading your way through some silly pieces of string. *coughSpider'sLaircough* I guess it was my favorite Season 1 room space, but I just wasn't entirely sold on the idea. I prefer the Jester's Court much more.

I gave the Holes of Python a 7. This room was definitely more challenging than the Swamp and Spider's Lair. It actually did take the contestants quite some time to traverse through the giant holes. Plus, the name of the room was also pretty awesome too. On the downside, I felt that the giant holes were a little uninspiring too like it came from a playground or something. But still, the objective was time consuming compared to other Season 1 ones. I enjoyed this room, but I still prefer the Bamboo Forest much more over this one.

I can't believe I forgot about the Bamboo Forest. Fuck this room, I prefer the Bamboo Forest more.
