Rate the Legends Room - Day 43 Jester's Court

Treasure Room gets a 1, no explanation needed.

I gave the Treasure Room a 2 because, as horrible vacant and underused the room was, there was a cool sound effect when the treasure chest "opened"... twice... in the "Belshazzar" and "Moccasins" runs.

I like the sound the chest made also when it opened. I think the same sound effect was used when a contestant completed the Treasury of the Golden Orbs. I am not sure why they didn't use it in later seasons.

Next up is the Room of the Secret Password.

I gave the Room of the Secret Password a score of a 7. IMO, this was one of the best rooms in the upper left hand corner of the temple. The objective was not ridiculously easy like the Torch Room and Viper's Nest, and it actually appeared in a good portion of the show, not just for one layout. And in Season 3, it actually required the contestants to complete the objective in order to enter the Quicksand Bog. This should've happened a long time ago. I like the unique objective the room offered and there were many memorable moments in this room - like Kelli butchering the passwords in the "Judge Roy Bean" episode and Andrea throwing the tablets on the floor. Easily the best room in that room space.

I give it an 8, I love this room. I especially liked how various contestants pronounced the "Klaatu Barada Nikto" password.

I really liked this room, it really was a staple room in Seasons 2 and 3, so I'll give it a 7.

I gave the Room of the Secret Password a 9 because it was hands-down the best use of the upper floor, far-left space. It was nice that it made an appearance in both Seasons 2 and 3, and I greatly enjoyed that it was forced to be completed during Season 3 with the addition of the Pharaoh's Secret Password. The objective was pretty straight forward but not too simple. Some great and memorable moments occurred in the room; even Chandra's completing it in Season 2 is memorable. And unlike the first two seasons, there were multiple temple guard encounters there.

I am going to end the Room of the Secret Password's time a few hours short.

Next up is the Room of the Three Gargoyles.

I gave the Room of the Royal Gongs a score of a 3. I am sorry, but I was never a fan of this room. It was pretty lame and a blatant ripoff of the Gargoyle Room. Why did they even replace the Gargoyles in the first place? The Royal Gongs only appeared in two layouts and they worked the exact same way. Actually, they were just three giant actuators when you look at it. In the end, I like the Gargoyles better.

So you say you are doing the Room of Three Gargoyls next and you do the Room of Royal Gongs? 

Anyway this was a boring room, so I'll say 3.

I give it a 3. I liked the way the room looked, but it was just yet another boring, hit the actuator room.

I gave this room a 4. I didn't think it was THAT bad, but not too impressive either.

That's it for the Room of the Royal Gongs. It finished with a score of a 3.2


I haven't done the Observatory yet at all. But I think I am going to separate them since most of their objectives were unique and not too similar. The first one will be the Sundial version.

I gave the Sundial Observatory a score of a 3. There was nothing really special about this room at all. The objective was so simple that it made the Season 1 temple look even more pathetic. Just lame like most of the other rooms during that season. What saved it from getting a lower score was due to the fact that it was not another "hit the actuator" room and the contestants did have to spin it all the way around to open all doors. Other than that, it was a pretty lame and uninpiring room.
