The camera makes its way through lush greenery, and the palms move away as ambient animal noises are heard. Portions of a temple are shown, and suddenly the jungle ends, and we see Olmec’s face light up and shout, “LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE!”

The show’s title card—a pendant of life—crashes together on the screen, and the camera shifts to focus on the temple and its rooms. “With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now!”

The pendant splinters and Kirk is seen crawling out of the Jungle Crevice to run right into the center of the stage and up the Steps of Knowledge as he begins his narration.

“Thank you, thank you!” says Kirk. “It's nice to see you! Thank you, Olmec. Welcome to the Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we going to hear about today?”

Olmec replies, “The Legend of The Sheathed Sword of George the Fifth!”

“Ooh, the Sheathed Sword of George the Fifth!” says Kirk. “Well, one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Sheathed Sword—will it be The Red Jaguars?”

At this point, the camera focuses on each team as they are introduced.

“The Blue Barracudas?”
“The Green Monkeys?”
“The Orange Iguanas?”
“The Purple Parrots?”
“Or the Silver Snakes?”

“They’re going to have to pass some tough mental and physical tests,” continues Kirk, “and in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec’s temple, but first they’ll have to cross the Moat, and Olmec’s gonna tell us how they have to do it today.”

Olmec instructs:
“Before you, an ancient raft floats in the water, and above it is a path of vines across the Moat. When Kirk gives the signal, both of you, climb into the raft and use the first vine to propel yourself to the next vine. Then grab on to the next vine and do it again. When you reach the other side, climb out of your raft, run over, and hit the gong!”

Kirk hits the Silver Snakes’ gong to demonstrate, which—in turn—lights up a bright silver.

“The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round,” finishes Olmec. “Okay,” says Kirk Kirk. “Teams! Are you ready?”

The teams excitedly reply, “Yeeaahhhh!”

Kirk then asks, “Olmec, are you ready?”

“But of course,” replies Olmec.

“All right, then,” says Kirk. “Teams! On your marks, get set… GO!”

Immediately, the teams begin to get into their rafts. “They’re scramblin’,” commentates Kirk as the rafts slowly begin moving forward. “Now comes the hard part. It takes a lot of strength to get you across that misty Moat, just by pulling themselves using vines…” Indeed, the Orange Iguanas seem to have some trouble pulling themselves across; on the other hand, the Silver Snakes simply glide forward in the water almost flawlessly, moving from one vine to the next with swift movements. “I like the way they’re moving,” remarks Kirk as the Silver Snakes pass their sixth vine and bump right into the side of the deck. “The Silver Snakes look like they’re gonna be our first team—they are!” They slam down on their gong less than 15 seconds into the round, far ahead of their opponents. “We’ve got room for three more teams, though,” reminds Kirk, as we switch back to a wide shot and see that the Red Jaguars and the Blue Barracudas are the next leaders. The girl on the Purple Parrots is desperately reaching out to grab the fifth vine—which is probably a good foot away. The Green Monkeys are just simply stuck halfway between the third and fourth vines, but are still ahead of the Orange Iguanas, who are even further behind, struggling to make progress. “We’ve got our second team!” yells Kirk as the Blue Barracudas ring their gong.

“We’re looking for two more teams,” announces Kirk, as the teams out on the Moat continue to pull themselves across, the Red Jaguars ahead of the other three teams, reaching the deck seconds later. “And here come the Red Jaguars!” The girl on the Red Jaguars pulls herself out, helping her partner out of the raft before they both slam down on their team gong together. They are closely followed by the Purple Parrots, who soon climb out as well. “—and we’ve got our four teams!” declares Kirk when the Purple Parrots hit their gong. “Stop right there—we’ve got ‘em!”

We now see Kirk standing next to an excited pair of Silver Snakes. “Silver Snakes did a great job! They had no trouble whatsoever,” he says. “And going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Silver Snakes—and the Purple Parrots—and the Blue Barracudas—and the Red Jaguars.”

“The Orange Iguanas and the Green Monkeys gave it a great effort,” he says. “They came up a little short, but we’re not gonna let them go empty-handed. We’ve got a nice gift for them, and here’s what it is.”

Dee reads the prize:

Wild Jungle EP: The Sheathed Sword of George V

The screen transitions to a shot of the four teams atop the Steps of Knowledge. “As the quest continues,” says Kirk, “it’s now time for Olmec to tell us about The Sheathed Sword of George the Fifth. But teams—pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec’s temple.”

Olmec narrates the legend:
“One of the greatest Kings of the United Kingdom was George the Fifth.  He led Britain through World War I and served as the emperor of India. In 1910, George became King of the British Empire and was crowned a year later. But as a younger man, George was lonely and looking for love.

“‘So, when are you getting married?’ asked his aunt at his brother’s wedding.

“‘When are you getting married?... When are you getting married?... When are you getting married?’

“Eventually, it drove George crazy, and he decided to find himself a wife. He fell in love with his uncle’s daughter, Marie of Edinburgh, and legend has it, that he gave her a special sword in a jeweled sheath that he had taken from his father when he proposed.

“‘Will you marry me?’ asked George, as he knelt down not only with a ring, but also with the sword. But alas, her mother did not approve of the wedding, and Marie said ‘no’.

“Heartbroken, George walked outside and tossed the sword into the river. He eventually got married two years later to Princess May, but the sword was forgotten and soon found its way to the Temple! Your quest is to find the Sheathed Sword of George the Fifth and bring it back here.”

“Thank you, Olmec,” says Kirk after a short pause, “so tell us—where is the Sheathed Sword?”

“The Sheathed Sword of George the Fifth can be found… in the Secret Spring.” reveals Olmec. The camera moves across the bottom floor of the Temple till it reaches the Secret Spring, and then fades to a close-up of the Sheathed Sword sitting on a ledge in the front of the room.

“All right,” says Kirk in response. “Teams—you are now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec’s gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you’re right, you’ll move down to the next level, but if you’re wrong or run out of time, I’m gonna have to give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams that make it to the bottom level—” Kirk runs down the steps, then walks out of view “—will be one step closer to Olmec’s temple. Olmec, we’re now ready for your first question…”

The Blue Barracudas randomly stomp down, making a few members of the audience laugh.

“Nope, no, don’t stomp down yet…” laughs Kirk as the light under the Barracudas’ feet turns off. “Okay, Olmec—your first question.”

Olmec asks: “Was George the Fifth—King of the United States, King of the United Kingdom—”

The Silver Snakes interrupt: “King of the United Kind—Kingdom.”

“That is correct,” replies Olmec. “Okay, step on down, Silver Snakes,” says Kirk, allowing them to move down to the second step. “Next question.”

Olmec asks: “At the time of his rule, India was being controlled by Britain. Did this make it part of—the British Alliance, the British Empire, or the British railway network?”

The Red Jaguars stomp down: “The British Empire…?”

“That is correct,” declares Olmec. “Step down, Red Jaguars,” narrates Kirk. “Next question.”

Olmec asks: “When George the Fifth first wanted to get married, did he propose to: Marie Antoinette, Marie of Edinburgh, or—”

The Purple Parrots interject: “Uh… Marie… um…”

“Incorrect,” announces Olmec as a bell sounds. “The other choice was Marie Curie.”

The Silver Snakes buzz in: “Marie of Edinburgh.”

“That is correct,” replies Olmec. “Okay, step on down, Silver Snakes,” instructs Kirk as they move down to the third step. “Now they’re just one step away from the Temple Games. Next question…”

Olmec asks: “Did George the Fifth become king in—1909, 1910, or 1810?”

The Silver Snakes hit their marking: “Uh… 1910?”

“That is correct!” shouts Olmec, allowing the Silver Snakes to jump down onto the final step. “We’ve got our first team going on to the Temple Games!” announces Kirk. “It’s the Silver Snakes! All right, we’ve still got space for one more team, though. Let’s carry on! Olmec, next question.”

Olmec asks: “According to our legend, when George the Fifth propose to Mar—”

The Red Jaguars stomp down: “He, uh, gave her the sword?”

“That is correct!” declares Olmec. “Okay, now the Red Jaguars are just one step away from the Temple Games!” Kirk says. “Okay, next question…”

Olmec asks: “Is the capital of the United Kingdom—London, Yorkshire, or—”

The Red Jaguars ring in: “London!”

“That is correct!” bellows Olmec. “These two teams will be going on to the Temple Games!” shouts Kirk as he runs over to the teams on the bottom step. “We’ve got the Silver Snakes… and the Red Jaguars! The Purple Parrots and the Silv—Blue Barracudas gave it a great effort, though. They’re not going away empty-handed. We’ve got a great gift for them, and here’s what it is.”

Dee reads the prize:
“It’s a Pulse Kick N’ Go electric scooter! The Kick N’ Go uses a unique self-propulsion pedal to keep your balance while riding. From Pulse!”

The screen wipes to reveal Kirk with his hands on the two remaining teams’ shoulders. “These two teams are gonna be competing for the rights to enter Olmec’s temple,” he says, “and they’re gonna do it—right after this!” The camera moves across the bottom floor of the Temple, panning past each of the rooms until it stops in front of the Secret Spring, zooming in on the Sheathed Sword. The titlecard appears, and then we fade to commercial.

Wild Jungle EP: The Sheathed Sword of George V

The pendant splits, the camera zooms out from a small muddy puddle in front of the Forest of a Thousand Dragons, and then we fade to Kirk and the two teams.

“Welcome back to Legends,” says Kirk, standing in front of The Tiger’s Den with the two remaining teams. “Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest… so before we get started, let’s meet our teams. On the Red Jaguars, we have Wayne. Wayne, it says here that you like playing soccer, but it also says that you are a black belt in Kung Fu—is that right?”

“Uh, yeah,” says the short boy who appears to be Asian, with long black hair and dark brown eyes. “I started learning Kung Fu when I was five, and I got my black belt two years ago.”

“And how old are you now?” Kirk then asks.

“13,” answers Wayne.

“All right, six years of practice,” remarks Kirk. “Let’s see if that can come in handy. And also, we have Sharron.” He turns to the next player, a slightly taller girl with brown hair and blue eyes. “It says here that you like to surf—tell me about that.”

“Uh, well, my dad asked me to try it when we went on vacation in California,” she explains, “and I never surfed before, so he had to kinda force me to do it, but I liked it.” She pauses and smiles.

“Okay, well, sounds good,” comments Kirk as he turns around to face the audience. “Let’s hear it for the Red Jaguars!” The audience briefly cheers for the team as Kirk turns his attention to the boy on the Silver Snakes, with slightly tanned skin and black hair hanging down over one side of his face.

“And on the Silver Snakes,” says Kirk as he looks up at the boy, “we have Julio. You like playing all sorts of sports, but you told me that you also won a science fair—tell me about that.”

“Uh, yeah, I won my school’s science fair… two years ago,” replies Julio.

“And, um, what did you make that won?” asks Kirk.

“I designed a sort of dumbwaiter,” he says.

“Sounds cool,” says Kirk. “I’d like to have one of those in my house myself.” He turns to the final player, a girl with light blond hair and a freckled face. “And over here, we’ve got Benita. It says here that you play basketball, but it also says that you’re really into music and you want to be a singer. Tell me about that…”

“I dunno, I just really like singing, and I wanna become a singer someday,” shrugs Benita.

“Well, what type of, uh, music would you sing?” Kirk then asks.

“Probably like pop or something,” she laughs. “That’s what I listen to the most, so…”

“Okay then,” continues Kirk. “Let’s hear it for the Silver Snakes!” The audience applauds for the team before Kirk continues speaking.

“All right, ready to play?” shouts Kirk. The players cheer and yell in response. “Okay then, why don’t you guys go get ready for the second Temple Game, and the girls can go get ready for the first…” Kirk points in different directions, and the players follow them, walking off-camera.

“In the temple games, teams are competing to win Pendants of Life—” Kirk grabs a pendant out of his pouch and holds it up to the camera. “The winning team will need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards, as they make their way through the temple. There are three Temple Games, and Olmec will now tell us about Temple Game #1.”

Olmec explains:
“Kings reign for as long as they live, and sometimes, that can be a long time. George the Fifth ruled as the King of the United Kingdom for 26 years. When Kirk gives the signal, climb up onto the wheel and shift your weight to make it spin. Every full revolution clockwise represents one year of George’s reign. The first team to make 26 full spins, or the team that’s further along at the end of 60 seconds… wins.

“As they say, time flies,” comments Kirk as he backs away from the Game to get a clear view. “Let’s put 60 seconds on the clock!”

The clock slams down into the corner of the screen. “On your marks, get set… GO!” Immediately, Sharron and Benita climb up onto the giant “Pendants of Life” and begin to spin them by walking upwards. “The Red Jaguars have got some good balance,” commentates Kirk. “The Silver Snakes aren’t doing so well—OH!” Benita slips down after making two spins—with 45 seconds remaining—and Sharron takes this chance to increase the score to 3-2. “Ooh, but she makes a quick recovery…” Indeed, Benita climbs back onto her wheel quickly and begins running quickly—but loses her balance a second time as a result! [0:32] The score is now 7-5 Red, but Benita is not giving up, trying to speed up continuously, but having to slow down numerous times to keep herself from sliding off the wheel. Sharron continues her steady pace, which seems like a far better technique than the start-stop technique Benita uses. “Oh, it’s gonna come down to the end,” says Kirk. [0:10] With the score now at 10-9, both Benita and Sharron now begin to speed up, trying to get more points before time runs out… but right as Sharron completes her 11th spin, TIME IS UP!

“Okay, time’s up!” announces Kirk as he runs back into view of the camera, running over to the airbags below the disks. “All right, let it on down… come on over here, let’s check out the scores…” We cut to a view of the scorecards the spotters have been using to keep track of the scores.

“The Red Jaguars made 11 spins,” says Kirk, “and the Silver Snakes made… 10 spins! That gives the Red Jaguars the half Pendant of Life!” The audience cheers as Benita gives Sharron a quick low-five, as they both appear to be quite tired.

“The Silver Snakes can catch up in the next game,” he then says. “It’s worth a half-a-pendant—Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.”

Olmec narrates:
“The British Empire in the late 1800s expanded gradually, taking control of one place at a time. One of the places they colonized was India, and they did it a bit at a time. Today, you’ll be doing the same thing—just in a different fashion. Before you are two boards: one is empty, and the other has the letters of the word ‘India’. When Kirk gives the signal, run forward and grab a letter, and then change direction and stick it on the other board. The first player to spell the ‘India’ on their board, or the player that’s further along at the end of 60 seconds… wins.”

“This looks like it might be tough,” remarks Kirk. “Let’s set the clock for 60 seconds!”

The clock bangs down into the screen’s bottom-right corner. “On your marks, get set… GO!” The boys run forward, jumping up, but turning around to pick up speed. “This isn’t an easy game,” explains Kirk. “They’ve got to keep changing directions to get those letters onto the… uh, other boards, there…” [0:52] Wayne is first to grab a letter—the ‘N’—and then takes another eight seconds or so until he gets it up onto the second board, right as Julio turns around and heads toward the board to place his first letter. “Red Jaguars doing great… Silver Snakes are right on their tail, though.” [0:40] After a miss by Wayne, the Silver Snakes overtake and place their second letter on the board to spell “I_ D_ _” with 32 seconds remaining. “All right, Red Jaguars are catching up now,” comments Kirk, as Wayne and Julio grab their third letters each at around the same time, but with Julio slightly ahead. But Wayne spins in midair, and manages to change direction far enough to slap on his third letter, forming “IND_ _”. [0:24] Julio once again falls behind, but fortunately for him, “—the Red Jaguars missed!” shouts Kirk with 20 seconds left, and he ties up the scores again. “The Red Jaguars really need to catch up if they want to take that lead back, now—we’re running outta time…” With about nine seconds left, Julio sticks the ‘A’ onto the board, right as Wayne grabs his fourth letter. He turns around and tries to make a mad dash for a last-second attempt to tie the score, but is unsuccessful. “Time’s up!” yells Kirk as the clock explodes over the screen.

Kirk runs over to a clear area near the boards to get a view of the progress. “Okay, well, the Red Jaguars got three letters up correctly,” he says, “and the Silver Snakes got FOUR letters, so the Silver Snakes get the half Pendant of Life!” The camera shows Julio throwing his hands up in celebration, still swinging back and forth on his cord.

“That gives the Red Jaguars a half-pendant,” recaps Kirk, “and the Silver Snakes also have a half-pendant. We’re going in to our third and final game! It’s worth a full pendant—Olmec, tell us about it.”

Olmec continues:
“To declare his love for Marie of Edinburgh, George the Fifth travelled miles and miles to her palace just to propose. Today, you will be making that same journey. Before you, the route to Marie’s palace is marked: over a hill… through a jungle… across a lake… and up the tower of the palace. When Kirk gives the signal, the first player will conquer the first obstacle, and then tag their partner at the end. Then their partner will move on to the next obstacle, and you’ll do it again! When you reach the Tower, both of you climb to the top, and place the ring on one of Marie’s fingers. The first team that reaches the top of the Tower and places the ring… wins.

“Let’s get these teams to Marie of Edinburgh—and hopefully to the Temple,” says Kirk. “Okay, teams—on your marks, get set… GO!”

The boys are up first, springing into action as they begin to climb the rock climbing wall on the face of the Hill. “It’s gonna be neck-and-neck all the way, I have a feeling,” remarks Kirk, as the camera shows that Julio and Wayne are ridiculously close together. “These are two tough teams, and it’s a tie—and this is our tiebreaker! Who’s gonna get that glory and go on?” Although the Red Jaguars are first to slide down to the other side of the Hill, the Silver Snakes are just seconds behind, and Benita soon jumps into the Jungle not far behind Sharron. “Oh, but she’s gonna walk,” narrates Kirk, as Benita is seen moving through the elastic cords while standing, pushing them out of the way, instead of simply avoiding them by going low like Sharron. The Red Jaguars are first out of this obstacle, and Wayne immediately races up the steps to the deck of the Lake and jumps into it with ease. “Here comes Julio, though,” commentates Kirk as the boy on the Silver Snakes is seen catching up. “It’s gonna come down to the last obstacle… The Tower…” Both boys choose to wade through the water, splashing loudly as they try to run across the “lakebed”.  Wayne and Sharron both begin to scale the tower, with Wayne going up first—doing so quickly, too. The Silver Snakes attempt to catch up, but as they begin to climb, the Red Jaguars have already reunited atop the Tower, and grab the inner tube “ring” and slide it atop the gigantic hand’s ring finger to end the game.

“That’s it!” shouts Kirk. “That is IT! Stop right there—Silver Snakes, Red Jaguars, you can come on down…” He runs to the base of the Towers—airbags for safety—and waits for the teams to come down to announce the results.

“Well, the, uh… Red Jaguars got up to that Tower first; they got that ring up there first—so they win the full Pendant of Life!” Kirk pauses for applause before continuing.

“That gives them a pendant and a half,” he counts. “The Silver Snakes had a half… The Red Jaguars are going to the Temple!” Wayne and Sharron high-ten and hug as the audience gives them a very loud round of applause.

“Nice job!” praises Kirk. “The Silver Snakes did a fantastic job too—they gave it a valiant effort. We’re not gonna let them go away empty-handed. We’ve got a great gift for them, and here’s what it is.”

Dee reads the prize:
“Get ready to dodge darts all day, because you’ve won a NERF Dart Tag Hyperfire set! Comes with two new NERF Mavericks and 20 soft darts for fun yet safe play—from NERF.”

The prize is pushed out of the screen to reveal Kirk and the Red Jaguars. “Let’s see if these Red Jaguars can make it through Olmec’s Temple,” he says, “retrieve that Sword of George the Fifth—right after this!” We switch to a high-up shot, flying past the top floor rooms of the Temple—first the Lion Cave, then the Anaconda’ Sanctuary, and finally stopping at the Vine Drop. As it slowly zooms in on the door linking the Walk of Faith and the Room of the Tropicana Birds, the titlecard appears, and then we fade to commercial.

Wild Jungle EP: The Sheathed Sword of George V
« Reply #3 on: August 27, 2010, 04:25:49 AM »
The pendant splits, the camera zooms out from one of the Tropicana Birds, and then we fade to Kirk with his hands on the Red Jaguars’ shoulders.

“Welcome back to Legends,” he says. “Sharron and Wayne have proven themselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter Olmec’s temple. But first, Olmec’s going to give them some information to help them retrieve The Sheathed Sword of George the Fifth.”

Olmec begins his rundown:
“You could start by climbing through the Tigers' Den and climbing down into the Vine Drop. Pull the right vine to raise the stone slab, then race into the Treasury of the Monkeys. Find the right bunch of bananas, and you could choose to go up into the Anaconda's Sanctuary, or into the Grand Marsh. Open the alligators’ mouths to find the tongue, and you might have a chance to enter The Forest… of a Thousand Dragons. Reach into the dragon’s mouths and find the key—but be careful: one of the dragons might be inhabited by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you’ll have to give up a Pendant of Life. Next, plow through the wall and into the Secret Spring—where you can grab the Sheathed Sword of George the Fifth.

“There, climb up the Falls and into the Catfish Cove. Find the correct bucket, and open the door to the Shriiiiine… of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Lion Cave. Place yourself in the correct mouth, which will allow you into the Wildebeests' Hideout. Turn the correct horn, and run across the Walk of Faith. Then, pass through the Room of the Tropicana Birds, race down the stairs, and back through the temple gates. The choices are yours and yours alone. You won one-and-a-half pendants in the temple games. Who's going first?”

“I am!” calls Wayne.

“Very well, Wayne!” replies Olmec. “When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple, and make your way towards the Sheathed Sword. Hidden inside the Temple are Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on but if you're caught without a pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple... and it will be Sharron’s turn to enter and try her luck. Hidden inside the Temple is the other half of your pendant. If you can find it, and you’re carrying the other half, you will get an extra life. If you can reach the Sheathed Sword, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock and the Temple Guards will vanish. Return through the gates with The Sheathed Sword of George the Fifth in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded—and here's how!”

Dee reads the team’s prizes:
•   For just going into the temple, you’ll both receive a high-definition Blu-Ray player from Sony! Sony’s BDP-S1 Blu-Ray Player takes movie magic to the next level, displaying crystal clear quality in 1080p HD! From Sony.
•   If you can grab the Sheathed Sword before three minutes is up, you’ll also receive this BMX bike from Mongoose! The 2010 Micron by Mongoose has a low frame that can withstand all the high-octane action kids can enjoy on it! From Mongoose.
•   And if you can bring the Sheathed Sword out of the temple before three minutes is up, you’ll both be going to Space Camp! You’ll float like an astronaut and perform a shuttle mission during your action-packed week at Space Camp, in Huntsville, Alabama! From U.S. Space Camp.

“All right, they’ve already got the Blu-Ray Player,” reminds Kirk. “Let’s see if they can pick up the rest of the loot, though. Let’s get in position, Wayne—mouthpiece in… and you put your mouthpiece in too, Sharron. Let’s put three minutes on the clock!”

The clock slams down in the corner of the screen. “Olmec,” says Kirk, “lower your gate.” The gate lowers as Olmec moans and the lights around him switch off. “This is it, Wayne! On your marks, get set… GO!”

“All right, there goes Wayne, up into the Temple,” commentates a voiceover version of Kirk, as Wayne races up the Temple steps and heads past Olmec from behind. “This team is strong! They’ve got a Pendant and a half—but somewhere in that Temple is the other half.” Wayne continues to run, heading up two flights of stairs to enter the Room of the Tropicana Birds a mere 10 seconds since his entry. He hits the beaks of two birds—the ones beside the Temple Guard door—and the second one slams open the door to the Walk of Faith. [2:46] Wayne heads down the stairs, and then edges out carefully onto the bridge of vines. “He’s moving fast, but he’s being careful on the Walk of Faith,” narrates the voiceover. He crosses the bridge in about eight seconds, and hits the actuator to the Wildebeests’ Hideout with 2:34 left on the clock. “Okay, now he’s gonna head up into the Wildebeests’ Hideout,” says the voiceover, as Wayne climbs up the steps and appears in the Hideout moments later. But before he can make a move, a TEMPLE GUARD jumps out from the back of the room and captures him!

[2:25] “Give him the pendant!” advises the voiceover. “You have to give him the pendant!” Wayne hands the guard his Pendant of Life, and then turns the horns of the wildebeest head one after the other, with the first horn—the right-side horn—opening the door to the left. “Nice job! He’s lowered the stone slab, so now he can head right into the Lion Cave.” Wayne makes his way down the stairs, and then enters the Lion Cave with 2:08 remaining. He places himself inside the rightmost lion head first, pressing his own head back against the panel inside. “Try another!” yells the voiceover after a few seconds. Wayne places himself inside the middle lion head now, and as he pushes back on the actuator with his head, a door is opened. [1:56] “Which door opened?” asks the voiceover rhetorically. “Which one opened? I think it’s the one downward.” It is—and as soon as Wayne discovers it, he begins to make his way down into the Grand Marsh. With 1:48 on the clock, he jumps down into the “swamp water”, and wades his way over to the first alligator mouth he sees—the one on the left side of the room. “Will it be that mouth?” says the voiceover. Wayne pulls open that mouth, but finds nothing inside. “It’s gonna be the other one…” He heads back over to the other side of the room and opens the alligator mouth on the right. [1:39] This time, a long tongue uncoils out of the mouth—with a small golden object hanging off the end of it—and Wayne looks backward, yelling something and pointing at the tongue before he pulls it and opens the doors. “He’s signaling to his partner,” explains the voiceover, and as Wayne moves to the next room, the camera zooms in on the object, revealing that is the other half-pendant.

[1:30] “He lost some time there, but now he’s just one room away from the Sheathed Sword!” Wayne appears in the Forest of a Thousand Dragons with 1:26 on the clock, bringing a large portion of the Marsh with him—which spills out near the doorway—and, ignoring the dragons, immediately runs toward the stone wall, smashing it down. “He’s heading into the Secret Spring—he’s got the Sword!” shouts the voiceover as Wayne grabs the SHEATHED SWORD from the front of the room with 1:21 remaining.  “Now he’s got to make his way back!” Wayne immediately turns around and darts back into the Forest of a Thousand Dragons, placing his hand on the dragons as he makes his way past them and dives into the Grand Marsh. [1:10] “He’s heading back into the Marsh,” comments the voiceover as Wayne gets up and wades his way across the room, and then climbs through the doorway to the Treasury of the Monkeys with 1:04 remaining. “He’s heading into the Treasury of the Monkeys,” narrates the voiceover. Wayne jogs through the room, and then heads toward the open doorway back to the Vine Drop. [0:56] “He’s heading into the Vine Jungle!” shouts Kirk, misnaming the room, as Wayne crawls his way through the door and into the Vine Drop, running past the three vines to the entrance of the Tiger’s Den. “Cheer him on,” Kirk says to Sharron, who is already jumping up and down in excitement. [0:44] Wayne has some trouble navigating his way through the room, initially climbing downward, but correcting himself and climbing up onto a ledge that leads back to the entrance. “He’s got plenty of time!” declares Kirk. “Bring me the Sword! Bring it to me!” Wayne hurries up the slide, runs past Olmec, and then crosses the gate with 33 seconds on the clock!

“They did it!” yells Kirk as Wayne continues running down the final steps to hug Sharron. “They got the Sheathed Sword—he is tired! They got it all! They—” Kirk is briefly interrupted by applause as Sharron, Wayne, and Kirk group hug for a few seconds.

“They got it all!” declares Kirk. “The Blu-Ray player, the BMX Bikes… they’re going to Space Camp! Great job! I’d like to stay longer, but we’re outta time—see you next time for another great Legend of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!

The credits begin to scroll as various ending scenes are shown: the now-empty Secret Spring, and a first-person walk through from the Catfish Cove to the door of the Wildebeests’ Hideout in the Lion Cave. Finally, the camera fades out, and the light bulb-Nickelodeon logo is shown as an electric buzzing noise is heard.

Summary:

This episode started off as a fairly slow-moving one. For starters, the Moat took at least a minute and a half, which was too long for my taste for this Moat crossing, where players got into rafts and pulled themselves across the Moat using vines. Either way, the Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas, Purple Parrots, and Silver Snakes all moved on to the Steps of Knowledge.

The legend was about George V of the United Kingdom and his "search for love". According to the legend, George had brought Marie of Edinburgh a sheathed sword when he proposed, which he later threw away when he was rejected and... well, you know the rest. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" /> The Steps of Knowledge was where the episode began to pick up pace, though - and a little too early, if I may say so myself. The Blue Barracudas stomped down on their step before the first question and apparently the crew decided that it would be funny to light it up, causing the audience much laughter. Sadly to say, they didn't actually answer a question in the round, but the Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes did, earning themselves a spot in the Temple Games each.

The Red Jaguars were made up of Wayne, a black belt in Kung Fu and surfer Sharron, and the Silver Snakes were made up of science fair winner Julio and pop singer Benita. The Temple Games were extremely closely-fought. In the first game, the girls had to spin a wheel for 60 seconds, with each turn representing one year of King George's reign. Sharron got 11 spins, beating out Benita, with 10, to win the half-pendant. In the second game, the boys had to play a unique twist on the letter-transferring game that was featured in 1994 episodes such as "The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata". Instead, both boards were placed side-by-side, and players had to run to one, grab a letter, and then change direction to place it on the other. Julio won this game, with one more letter than Wayne. And in the final Temple Game, players ran an obstacle course relay-style to get to the top of "Marie of Edinburgh's Palace". As Kirk mentioned, this was the tiebreaker, and an exciting one as well, but the Red Jaguars beat out their opponents to win a trip into Olmec's Temple.

There have been absolutely no solo victories since S2 L2, and this episode finally added another one to the second season. Wayne began in the Room of the Tropicana Birds, crossed the Walk of Faith, and then headed down from the Lion Cave, all with more than a minute and a half to spare. It was a simple grab from there, and Wayne sped out through the low road and out of the Temple with 33 seconds remaining.

Trivia and Records
There was noticeable audio and video editing during the Temple Run. For starters, most of the Temple Run was overdubbed, with Kirk's live voice muted. However, this switched exactly when there was an odd cut in the Treasury of the Monkeys - Wayne moved from one side of the room to the other in just a few frames! My theory is that the stone slab wasn't allowing Wayne to exit the Temple before, and the crew stopped to raise it before letting Wayne continue.

Hahah, I loved this? the stir-crazy Blue Barracudas, the impressive solo run and even Kirk thinking "5 + 6 = 13" during the interviews. :D
