Title: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 59: Belle Boyd/Pytheas Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 12, 2014, 11:09:15 PM
Time for a new poll since we haven't had any of these for a while.  :mrteal: We are always talking about the best and weakest episode for each production day on the show. I figured why not hold a poll to find the best and worst episode for each production day? The premise of this topic is simple. Everyday, I will hold a poll for a certain production day and we will vote for the best and worst episode on that day. The episode with the most votes after a certain amount of time will be deemed the winner/loser.

Let's start off with the very first production day. The four episodes from this day consist of:

Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 12, 2014, 11:12:27 PM
The very first production day featured some very unusual and quirky episodes. Which is understandable because it was the first production day after all. Regardless, I think the vote is pretty obvious. I went "Galileo" because it is the only episode that had a good outcome that day. Plus, it was memorable all the way through.  :mrsilver: Dead Man's Hand and Belshazzar are NOT bad episodes though. Those episodes featured good teams that got stuck with a crappy layouts. I can forgive those two episodes easily. Blackbeard is crap though.

Galileo >>>>> Dead Man's Hand > Belshazzar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Blackbeard

Galileo easily. The rest of the episodes just don't measure up in comparison.

And my overall ranking of all four days is the same as TRJ:

Galileo >>>>>>>> Dead Man's Hand >>>> Belshazzar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Blackbeard

Should Blackbeard even be considered for the first production day? Not one moment of it used any element seen in the two completed S1L1 episodes.

I was actually unsure of whether doing this or not. Most people seem to group Blackbeard with S1L1 episodes, probably to give that production day four episodes. But you're totally right, Blackbeard has nothing to in common with the S1L1 episodes. At least Belshazzar had most of the episode in S1L1.

Yeah, Blackbeard really doesn't belong on this list. But considered it was supposed to be S1L1, it is sort of fitting.

Maybe I should removed Blackbeard from the poll? Not that it matters because it probably won't get a vote for either layout.  :P

You should keep it, since it is technically labeled "Episode 1," even though it's not actually the pilot episode.

I think we can declare the winner for the very first production day. Galileo wins this one unanimously with 6 votes!  :mrsilver:

Next up is S1L2, a rather sad production day. These are the featured episodes:

John Henry's Lost Hammer
The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan
Elizabeth I's Golden Ship
John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Two: Lost Hammer/Golden Ship Day (S1L2)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 14, 2014, 12:09:11 AM
Wow, S1L2 was a pretty piss poor day. You had a girl who did not know how to press a button, the WORST temple run ever, and the quickest temple loss ever. Regardless, this vote goes to Lost Gold Mine easily. This was not only the best episode that day, but one of the best on the entire show. And I will take Lost Gold Mine over any of these episodes too.  :mrblue:

My personal rankings:

Map to the Lost Gold Mine >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Golden Ship >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lost Hammer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Human feces and waste >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Golden Cricket Cage

John Sutter gets my vote, end of story. :mrblue:

And I like your table in the OP, TRJ. It looks really nice. ;)

Thank you! Considering it is going to be a long list, I think it should be organized in some way.  :mrred: And Map to the Lost Gold Mine wins S1L2!  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:

Next up is a better production day featuring five episodes:

The Star of Sultan Saladin
The Keys to the Alhambra
The Helmet of Genghis Khan
The Trojan Horseshoe
The Pendant of Kamehameha
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Three: Sultan Saladin/Trojan Horsehoe Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 14, 2014, 09:48:49 PM
S1L3 was a pretty good day for S1. We had three temple wins, a pretty exciting and memorable triple capture, and the only weak episode was Alhambra. I like both Kamehameha and Sultan Saladin, but I thought Sultan Saladin was a little better. Mostly because it had a better outcome and the earlier rounds were slightly more exciting. Kamehameha is still one of my favorite triple captures though. The other two wins were just average and Alhambra was crap.  :x

I second everything TRJ said. I also voted for Sultan Saladin, for same reasons. Now we got ourselves another episode that won't stop following us.

Sultan Saladin wins this production day unanimously!  :mrsilver:

Next up is S1L4, a production day dedicated to the Blue Barracudas.  :mrblue:

The Lost Logbooks of Magellan
The Moccasins of Geronimo
Henry VIII's Great Seal
The Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Four: Lost Logbooks/Amelia Earhart Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 15, 2014, 09:26:29 PM
I voted for the only non-Blue Barracuda run from this day, which was Great Seal. This episode was a classic and very fun despite the triple capture outcome. The temple run was also fun and the Silver Snakes were a good team.  :mrsilver: And yes, I even voted it over the amazing Geronimo run too.  ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Four: Lost Logbooks/Amelia Earhart Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on April 15, 2014, 09:28:47 PM
Also voted for Great Seal, which funnily enough was NOT a Blue Barracuda run that day. :mrsilver: That's right, I also didn't vote for the utterly amazing Geronimo either. Too bad YouTubers. But yeah, Great Seal was a great episode, no wonder Teenick has played it three times now.

I voted for "Great Seal" too.

Gee, wait till S1L5. That day was horrific!

Great Seal wins L1L4!

Next up is a production day that was pretty unfortunate and featured no wins. Here are the episodes of S1L5:

Ponce de Leon and the Lost Fountain of Youth
The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte
The Oracle Bowl of Delphi
The Paintbrush of Leonardo Da Vinci
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Five: Jean Lafitte/Leonardo Da Vinci's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 17, 2014, 12:43:28 AM
Wow, S1L5 was a pretty lousy production day. None of these episodes are remarkable in any way. With that being said, I voted for Leonardo Da Vinci. It was the most interesting episode from that day with the fewest problems in my mind. The Steps of Knowledge was actually really good in this episode. Unlike Missing Eye's SoK, which was full of bad answers. Da Vinci also had the rare Orange/Blue temple games and I remember the paint bucket game too. And I don't blame the Orange Iguanas for their lack of progress in the temple either. That layout was unfair and almost impossible.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Five: Jean Lafitte/Leonardo Da Vinci's Day
Post by: PurpleParrot319 on April 17, 2014, 12:51:15 AM
Honestly, the only episode I can remember off the top of my head is Oracle Bowl. It was actually quite good until Jackie entered the temple. That's where things went south. Besides Jackie's stupidity in the temple, Oracle Bowl in my opinion is the better of the four episodes, so I went with that.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Five: Jean Lafitte/Leonardo Da Vinci's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 17, 2014, 12:53:54 AM
Yeah, Oracle Bowl would've been my other pick. And the episode was definitely good before the temple run too. Shane and Jackie were actually doing really good too. But the temple run was so bad that it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. But this is a hard pick and it will be nice to not see unanimous results for once.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Five: Jean Lafitte/Leonardo Da Vinci's Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on April 17, 2014, 12:56:15 AM
I personally voted for Leonardo Da Vinci. It's best of the worst, but still not that exciting. But really, NONE of the episodes that day were good.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Five: Jean Lafitte/Leonardo Da Vinci's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 18, 2014, 12:45:18 AM
While this production day was not unanimous, Leonardo Da Vinci wins it with 4 votes. ;)

Next up is S1L6. The featured episodes are:

The Medal of Sir Edmund Hillary
The Mask of Shaka Zulu
The Golden Jaguar of Atahualpa
The Silver Saddle Horn of Hannibal
Alexander and the Gordian Knot
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Six: Sir Edmund Hillary/Shaka Zulu's Day

Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Six: Sir Edmund Hillary/Shaka Zulu's Day

I voted for Sir Edmund Hillary as the best episode of S1L7. It was one of the few Season 1 episodes that had a really strong team all day. Plus, the whole episode was fun every round and was memorable. The temple run was also my favorite loss from this season, and Danny and Tara were a solid team despite the mistakes.  :mrsilver:

Guess I'll vote for Sir Edmund Hilary for S1L7, assuming we'll do S1L6 tomorrow. Sir Edmund Hilary was a good episode.

Oh shoot, I just realized that I had the wrong production day.  I forgot S1L6 AKA the Bamboo Forest production day. I will just cover those episodes tomorrow. ;)

I also like Atahualpa too from S1L7. But Sir Edmund Hillary had a better team performance and slightly better. No vote for Shaka Zulu either, even though it is supposedly an amazing episode.  :mrsilver:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Six: Sir Edmund Hillary/Shaka Zulu's Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on April 18, 2014, 12:56:21 AM
Yeah, Atahualpa would be my second choice. And it was coincidentally another failed escape too. :mrblue: Either way, you might want to tweak the table in the OP, just so everyone knows we're covering S1L7 right now. ;)

Yeah, I went with Edmund Hilary.

I can only imagine the casuals figuring out why we chose a loss over a "win".

Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on April 18, 2014, 03:02:06 PM
Yeah, because "Shaka Zulu" is the best win ever just because it was done in quick time. I guess these casuals only like to look at the layouts and not the whole run.

And Sir Edmund Hillary wins S1L7! Sorry Shaka Zulu, no love for you this time around.  :mrred:

Now for the production day I missed. The only day that featured the Bamboo Forest.  :mrblue:

The Golden Chains of Zenobia
The Belly Button of Buddha
The Stolen Arm of Shiva
The Stone Marker of Leif Erickson
The Helmet of Joan of Arc
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Seven: Buddha/Stone Marker Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 19, 2014, 12:55:12 AM
What an unremarkable production day. I voted for Buddha though because it was the only episode with a good outcome and watchable. It is definitely not one of the most exciting or memorable episodes of Season 1, but Jennifer and Tony were still a decent team. And I will take a player walking through the temple and winning over the other disappointing temple losses.  ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day Seven: Buddha/Stone Marker Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on April 19, 2014, 01:07:08 AM
I also voted for Buddha. I don't think highly of this win or episode, but the rest of the episodes that day are so unremarkable.

Buddha wins S1L6. No surprise there. :P

Next up is S1L8. Probably the best production day from Season 1:

King Tut's Cobra Staff
The Dragon Lady and the Blue Pearl
The Codebook of Mata Hari
Pecos Bill's Lost Lariat

Wow, this was a tough choice for me. This vote might be a surprise, but I went with Cobra Staff. Both Blue Pearl and Cobra Staff were very similar episodes in my mind. Blue Pearl had a very exciting temple run and the earlier rounds were great, but in the end I like Cobra Staff's episode overall. Cobra Staff is special to me since I remember it from my childhood. Good legend, good steps, very memorable and competitive temple games, and the temple run was a pretty good failed escape. Plus, Albert was more of a lost cause than Eusinia. I love both Blue Pearl and Cobra Staff, but in the end Cobra Staff was the superior episode. And Cobra Staff even ranked in the Episode Ranking thread.  :mrpurple:

I personally went with Blue Pearl. Both that episode and King Tut were great episodes, but I just liked Blue Pearl a little better. That temple run was more of a nailbiter, and had less mistakes. And it was a little more memorable for me. But King Tut would be my second choice. ;)

Yeah, Blue Pearl comes very close for me also. This is my persona rankings for that day:

Cobra Staff > Blue Pearl >>>>       > Lost Lariat >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mata Hari

This was a pretty good day overall. The only episode I don't like is Mata Hari.

That's probably how I'd rank them too. Mata Hari is clearly the weak link, even Silk Ladder is more exciting. Despite its piss easy layout.

Well, this one was a close one for once. Cobra Staff barely edges out Blue Pearl for the win. I wouldn't have mind it went either way. ;)

Next up is the last production day of Season 1.

Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress
The Collar of Davy Crockett
The Snake Bracelet of Cleopatra
The Treasure of Anne Bonny

I voted for Lawrence of Arabia for the last production day of S1L9.  Easily the best episode of that day and maybe best episode of Season 1. It was a great way to kick off our favorite game show.  The other two wins that day were pretty average and have nothing on Lawrence of Arabia. And of course, Anne Bonny is the weak link that day and that should've been a win too. All thanks to Ron.

You know what? Why not move onto the next production day. It is obvious that Lawrence of Arabia wins this one unanimously with 7 votes.

Now we are onto Season 2 now. The first production day of S2L1 features:

The Silver Horseshoe of Butch Cassidy
The Secret Battle Plan of Nathan Hale
The Golden Stallion of Ali Baba
The Silver Cannonball of Grandy Nanny

I am counting Nathan Hale as a part of this day since only the temple run was postponed. ;)
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 10: Butch Cassidy/Nathan Hale's Day

This was not a very good production day. 3 of these episodes were lackluster and 1 featured a mediocre win. Regardless, I voted for Butch Cassidy. Only because it is the only real watchable and memorable episode that day. And I rather watch an unimpressive win than the worst triple capture or two teams running all over the temple (Golden Stallion gets a pass, but the temple run is still unremarkable.) But I still wouldn't go back and watch Butch Cassidy for leisure time though.

What a horrible production day. It would've been better with Medusa's Lair so Paula can actually have something praiseworthy. But as it stands, her episode is the best of the worst.

With 7 votes, I think we can pronounce the second fastest female solo win the best episode of S2L1. :mrorange:

Next up is the first production day of S2L2. The following episodes include:

The Walking Stick of Harriet Tubman
The Lost Love Letter of Captain John Smith
The Diary of Dr. Livingstone
The Bone Necklace of the Blackfeet Chief
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 11: Harriet Tubman/Blackfeet Chief's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 21, 2014, 02:53:14 PM
I voted for Dr. Livingstone as the best episode of this production day. It was a forgettable episode and was pretty average, but it also had the best outcome of that day too. I remember the very quick temple games at least and Brett entering every room of the temple. I wanted to vote for Blackfeet Chief at first, but that episode was also forgettable and Leah and Brandon should've won too. At least the Dr. Livingstone kids won.

I voted for Bone Necklace. It was an average episode, but I thought Brandon and Leah were a stronger team than Tabitha and Brett. Dr. Livingstone just bores me, I just think Bone Necklace deserves to win more honestly.

I went with Diary of Doctor Livingstone. It may be an uninspiring win (ala Silver Horseshoe of Butch Cassidy), but it was the best outcome of that production day.

I say stick with what you feel is the better episode. Clearly you think Bone Necklace is better, so stay with your gut. That's my opinion, although I'm sure what I'll say next would've swayed you the other way regardless.

I was torn between that one and Dr. Livingstone, but I went with the episode with the better outcome in the end, and that is Dr. Livingstone (I presume). It was pretty good overall. It might have had a forgettable temple run, but at least it ended as a win. Bone Necklace should have been a win too. It was almost the same layout as Jewel-Encrusted Egg, and that layout had some harder objectives. Not to mention, it was a win. There's no excuse as to why Bone Necklace was a loss. That team was too slow. At least Brett and Tabitha won with their layout. Brandon and Leah can't say that. The best they can say is that they grabbed the necklace, but the Jewel-Encrusted Egg layout was almost the same (only difference were the rooms and the Crypt was entered instead of the Ledges) and that team won. Give me Dr. Livingstone over Bone Necklace any day.

Oh yeah, the other two episodes are pretty much a waste. Can't forget about them. :P
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 11: Harriet Tubman/Blackfeet Chief's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 21, 2014, 10:13:41 PM
This was a hard choice for me. I liked the earlier rounds for Blackfeet Chief just as much as Dr. Livingstone. I thought the temple run was decent, but Leah and Brandon really should've won. Leah moved way too slow as a frontrunner, and Brandon could've picked up the pace himself. They should've won because the layout was identical to Enormous Iron Nose Ring and Catherine the Great (like mentioned above). Dr. Livingstone was not that much better than Blackfeet Chief, but I had to vote for it because the temple run was slightly better than Blackfeet Chief. I am not voting for it just because it was a win. I find the win to be both lame and boring, and I don't even remember it most of the time. If Dr. Livingstone went up against a better temple loss like Dolley Madison, Polynesian Girl, and Henry Morgan, I would vote for those easily.

This production day was pretty average. I could care less about the two triple capture episodes. And the artifact grabbed runs weren't really the best Season 2 had to offer. Plus, I can't think of a single fast runner from this day.

It's not that Bone Necklace was on the same level as Henry Morgan or Lucky Pillow wise. I don't care about that episode either, I'm not saying it was the very best episode of Season 2. I just thought it was a better episode because it was the first time Purple beat Red, and they almost got out of the temple. Dr. Livingstone is just an episode I could never get into. Even the very first time I watched it, I thought it was the most dull episode ever. But I figure if everyone else is voting for it, then I should too. I don't know, sometimes I have different reasons for liking certain episodes.

Yeah, this production day is like the previous one with Butch Cassidy where all of the runs were either average or had a disappointing outcome. No way would Dr. Livingstone get my vote if there was actually a good run that day (like Mush Pot Hat or Iron Nose Ring). And didn't Dr. Livingstone had the quickest temple game sequence too? Talk about a one-sided temple games round.

I promise this will be the last time I make a quick update. Only because I will be extremely busy tomorrow and have no time to update due to being gone real early in the morning until late at night. With 7 votes, Dr. Livingstone wins this production day.  :mrblue:

Next up is the second production day of S2L2. AKA the day with bitchy moat crossing:

The Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Appleseed
The Cracked Crown of the Spanish King
The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora
The Stone Head of the Evil King
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 12: Mush Pot Hat/Stone Head's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 21, 2014, 11:32:56 PM
I voted for Mush Pot Hat for the long ass moat production day. This was the only episode that day where this moat was not extremely long. Not just that, but this episode was also good in every other round including the close temple games and exciting temple run. Chris and Angela came close to a win and the ending was a nailbiter. The other episodes, mostly Stone Head and Cracked Crown, are on my episode black list.

This is no doubt the worst moat ever on the show. Just watch Stone Head and Cracked Crown's moat. The concept was good, but it was way too challenging and flawed. This is the one moat I can't wait until you get to also. :P If you watched Mush Pot Hat's moat, you wouldn't think that this moat gave the other teams trouble because no one had trouble in this episode.

Disregarding the ridiculously long moats for the day, my vote goes to "Mush Pot Hat" I enjoyed the episodes as whole, and the temple run was a nail biter with two good players, even though Angela was slightly hesitant.

Johnny Appleseed wins the bitchy moat day!  :mrorange:

Next up is the last production day of S2L2. Also, one of the best production days ever too:

The Lucky Medallion of Atocha
The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata
The Electrified Key of Benjamin Franklin
The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 12: Atocha/Annie Taylor's Day

What a great production day. 3/4 of these episodes are in my top 10 all time favorite Legends episode list, but too bad we can only choose one. :( With that said, I thought that Annie Taylor was the best episode from that day. It was a magical episode that I could never tired of watching.  :mrblue: The Blue Barracudas were a solid team, and was filled with many memorable moments. Missy was the star of this episode and she handed us our very first center of the temple win.  :mrblue: I love Atocha and Applewood Amulet too, but Annie Taylor deserves this title the most. ;)

So many great episodes, but still an easy vote. I went with Lucky Pillow. Easily the best Season 2 episode ever, and one of the all time best episodes ever on the show. :mrblue: Applewood Amulet and Atocha were great too, but Lucky Pillow definitely deserves to win it more. :mrblue: I'm not sure which production day I like better, this one of the last day of Season 3. Now THIS is a solid production day! :D

This is hard. I want to vote for both Atocha and Emiliano Zapata, but Lucky Pillow takes the cake. It has everything and it is one of the most memorable episodes ever. Missy was awesome. Heck, everything about it was awesome! :mrblue:

Yeah, I have to say that this was the best production day on the show. 3/4 of these episodes are in my top 10 favorite episode list. The last production day of Season 3 was great also, but I only think highly of Catherine the Great. The other three episodes were good, but no where near top 10 like Annie Taylor, Emiliano Zapata, and Atocha are for me. ;)

And it's a toss up for me for which production day was better. I think I like Lucky Pillow's day just a little more, since the layouts felt A LOT less rigged than the last day of Season 3. And Lucky Pillow's day was still relatively early on in the season too. ;)

Next up is the first production day of S2L3:

The Missing Eye of David
The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe
The Very Tall Turban of Ahmed Baba
The Ivory Elephant of Scheherazade
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 14: Missing Eye/Ivory Elephant's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 23, 2014, 02:51:17 PM
I voted for Enormous Iron Nose Ring as the best episode from this day. Overrated or not, I thought this was a very memorable and fun episode. The legend was silly, the temple games were memorable for Joel's dominance and Kirk's "Bells on Babe's Neck. Isn't that a song?" quote, and for Joel's very fast win. While his temple run is not as great as people make it out to be, it was still fun to watch him move fast and dominate. Great episode that I can never get tired of watching. Missing Eye was also a very fun episode and memorable, but I felt Enormous Iron Nose Ring had the better outcome with a slightly better team. Both Silver Snake episodes were great though.  :mrsilver:

I also voted for Enormous Iron Nose Ring. It was either that or Missing Eye, but I thought Enormous Iron Nose Ring deserved it more. :mrsilver: Tall Turban is boring and overrated, and Ivory Elephant is boring and well.... nothing special.

This was a close one, but Enormous Iron Nose Ring wins this production day.  :mrsilver:

Time for a production day that wasn't very good for any team that day...

The Sacred Ring of Sultan Suleiman

The Lost Lion Tail of Little John
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 15: Iron Mask/Lost Lion Tail's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 25, 2014, 12:40:45 AM
I voted for Montezuma as the best episode from that day. While the temple run was a disaster, it was still the strongest performance that day. At least Kevin and Kelly moved fast in the temple. Plus, the rest of the episode was memorable and enjoyable. Not the best episode, but it is one that I can rewatch. Iron Mask would've been my other choice, but it was too boring. I vow to never touch the other two episodes again too. I HATE COSA RARA!  :x

You got the episode list totally wrong. Iron Mask was NOT filmed the same day as Lost Lion Tail. Sacred Ring was. So you need to fix the entire thread.

How did I mix that up? And I thought I knew all the production days now. :P I guess that means Iron Mask is tomorrow with Efoua then. Thanks for adding Sultan Suleiman though. Wow, this was not a good day for the Purple Parrots. :o

Regardless, my vote still remains the same for Montezuma. Sultan Suleiman was a good episode until the temple run. But the triple capture is so pathetic that it does not deserve my vote. And I still hate Cosa Rara.   :x

Now it is time for the Iron Mask production day. ;)

The Crown of Queen Nzinga
The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 16: Efoua/Iron Mask's Day

Another production day with one good episode and three average or bad episodes. I voted for Two-Cornered Hat because it was the only exciting episode that day. The whole episode was enjoyable to watch and the temple run was fun also. Carly and Brian may have made too many mistakes, but their quick speed and rare completion of the Lightning Room made this run memorable.  :mrred:

And if Two-Cornered Hat wins, that means we have 3 straight King's Storeroom episode wins.

Next up is S2L4. The layout a duo Purple Parrot pwnage episodes exist.  :mrpurple:

The Silk Sash of Mulan

The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid

I voted for Snakeskin Boots as the best episode from this production day.  :mrpurple: It was a Purple Parrot classic and Kelly and Tony won it in dominating fashion. Easy win or not, this episode is best of the best. Annie Oakley was great also, but I had to vote Snakeskin Boots because Kelly and Tony actually won. Chandra and Nick were great too, but they kind of blew it in the temple. But their loss is still exciting. Attila the Hun is so boring to me and Silk Sash has too many bad things going for it.

I would actually be happy if both Silk Sash and Attila the Hun go to that list.  :mrblue:  :mrred: Attila the Hun is so boring.

I wonder how much love Annie Oakley would've gotten if Chandra and Nick won? We would be calling that episode Purple Parrot Pwnage instead. I love this episode a lot and the loss is very exciting too. A lot of other people feel that way about this run also. But Snakeskin Boots is slightly superior. ;)

Annie Oakley would definitely get a lot of love if THAT had been the first Purple Parrots win. Then Snakeskin Boots wouldn't be as recognized as it is now. But yeah, Snakeskin Boots was a better episode. Though I do think we'd love both runs if they were back to back Parrot runs. ;)

Billy the Kid wins the S2L4 production day.

Next up is the first day of S2L5 featuring  the Room of the Mandarin Hand. Episodes on this day include:

The Golden Pepperoni of Catherine de Medici
The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan
The Milk Bucket of Freydis
The Missing Weather Maps of Charles Lindbergh
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 18: Golden Pepperoni/Milk Bucket Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 27, 2014, 07:55:09 PM
I voted for Milk Bucket as the best episode from this day. :mrpurple: This was a good production day, but I have to go with the episode with the one second win. This episode is in my top 10 and every round was a great watch. Tarrah was the underdog contestant and her temple win was very exciting. She is not overrated at all and was a solid player with her layout. The nailbiter ending was the best part of this episode. Great effort by the Purple Parrots. :mrpurple: Henry Morgan was exciting too and Golden Pepperoni was not as bad as people make it out to be, but this one is all about the Milk Bucket. :mrpurple: Missing Weather Maps can go jump off a cliff.

Another vote for Freydis for me. :mrpurple: Tarrah was a great player. :mrpurple: I'd much rather watch her in the temple than Jennifer from Buddha.

Freydis win this production day!

Time for the last production day of S2. The following runs include:

The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus
The Broken Wing of Icarus
The Bonnet of Dolley Madison
The Priceless Portrait of the Polynesian Girl
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 19: Nostradamus/Polynesian Girl Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 28, 2014, 10:11:58 PM
I voted for Nostradamus as the best episode this day. Most of these episodes were good, but Nostradamus had the best outcome. And all of the rounds were exciting too. And the temple win was great too, and Jason was clever to use the Dog Leash in the Pit. I like Polynesian Girl too and thought it was a great way to close out Season 2, but Jim and Kristen didn't win. If they did, I would probably vote for this one. But as of right now, Nostradamus is the best.  :mrorange:

Yup, also voted for Nostradamus, for same reasons. :mrorange: But really, all the episodes were good that day. Even Icarus was before the temple run at least. And I also would've voted for Priceless Portrait if it had been a win. :mrsilver:

Nostradamus wins the last production day of Season 2!  :mrorange:

Now we move onto Season 3 and the first production day. Also known as the "Golden Olmec" day.  :mryellow:

The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack
The Comet-Embroidered Battle Flag of William the Conqueror
The War Fan of the 47 Ronin
The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 20: Bifocal Monocle/Sir Gawain's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 29, 2014, 08:23:58 PM
I voted for Sir Gawain as the best episode this day.  :mrorange: Even if I have seen this episode countless times, it is still fun to watch and it was entertaining all the way through. The legend was very neat, the temple games were memoable, and the temple run was a good solo effort. Tiffani was a solid contestant as was her win. I like William the Conqueror also, but Jonathan and Olivia should've win. If they did, I would probably vote for it over Sir Gawain. But right now, Sir Gawain wins this one.  :mrorange:

I want to move onto our next production day because it is actually interesting. Sir Gawain wins this day unanimously with 6 votes, so there is no surprise there.  :mrorange:

Now time for an interesting day:

The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta
The Lion-Slashed Jacket of Sacagawea
The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen
The Thornwood Gavel of Judge Roy Bean
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 21: Chandragupta/Bandit Queen's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 29, 2014, 10:31:38 PM
Wow, this is a tough choice.  Chandragupta and Bandit Queens are both amazing episodes. I really had a hard time in choosing one of these. In the end though, I went with Bandit Queen. I know it seems like I bash this win a lot, but I really enjoy the whole episode. The legend was one of my favorites on the show, the competition was good, and the win was exciting for Zac. Actually, Zac made this whole episode.  :mrsilver: Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Chandragupta too. Andrea's enthusiasm and the close competition was fun. But in the end, I found Bandit Queen's episode and win a little more memorable. I love both though.   :mrsilver:

I voted for Chandragupta. This episode to me was quirky and fun in its own way. Seriously, Andrea does not get recognized as much as she should. Very underrated player. Bandit Queen I've seen so many times, so I'm kind of tired of seeing it. I think Chandragupta deserves to win a lot more. ;)

Both Chandragupta and Bandit Queen are great. In the end, I also picked Bandit Queen because I find it more memorable, and in a good way. Zac was awesome! :mrsilver:

And we got ourselves a tie! I am not surprised, because both of these episodes are very close for my liking. I knew Chandragupta would've gotten more than 1 vote. So for right now, both Bandit Queen and Chandragupta win this production day.    :mrsilver:

Next up is a not so good production day.

The Snow Cone of Mt. Kilimanjaro
The Upside-Down Compass of Henry Hudson
The Bent Shaving Pan of Jedediah Smith
The Marble Armrest of Xerexes
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 22: Smashed Printing Plate/Xerxes Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on April 30, 2014, 10:16:04 PM
I voted for Henry Hudson as my vote. It might just be an average episode, but it is more deserving than all the crap from this production day. And while Sherra took a direct path and Derek was a bad player for dropping the Silver Monkey torso with one second, they were strong all day too. The other teams didn't deserve to enter the temple.

Oh shit, Snow Cone had the side-scrolling net game while Smashed Printing Plate had the rope and vine game. That just makes this production day even worst now. Oh well, Henry Hudson still wins this one.  :mrpurple:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 22: Smashed Printing Plate/Xerxes Day
Post by: Red Jaguars Fan on April 30, 2014, 10:18:31 PM
I voted for "Henry Hudson". But that doesn't mean I enjoy it that much. It was average to me, and I only voted for it because "Bent Shaving Pan" was bad, and the other two were downright terrible.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 22: Snow Cone/Xerxes Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on April 30, 2014, 10:20:54 PM
But yeah, I also voted for Henry Hudson, for same reasons as everyone else. Derek and Sherra were extremely strong pre temple, and were the only team that day to NOT suck so badly in the temple. Bent Shaving Pan is a team I'll never feel sorry for. So boring, so filler, and Brian is the poorest excuse of a second runner I've ever seen on the show. And Xerxes and Snow Cone were just terrible. I don't even want to waste time talking about them. Those teams just didn't deserve to go to the temple and I'll never feel sorry for them either. O_O

Henry Hudson wins this production day!  :mrpurple: Good riddance, I literally hate the other three episodes.  :?

Next up is the Smashed Printing Plate day. ;)

The Smashed Printing Plate of Frederick Douglass
The Mystical Spellbook of the Imperial Wizard
The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain
The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 23: Imperial Wizard/Useless Map Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 02, 2014, 12:45:20 AM
Another production day that was not very good. I voted for Imperial Wizard though as it was the best of the bunch. I know it had the racist legend and Jared the jerk, but it was still a decent watch. The Green Monkeys were dominant all day and the temple run is not too bad aside from Jared's detour. And Katie's fast speed makes this run pretty exciting to watch. I like Useless Map too, but it wasn't as entertaining as Imperial Wizard. It is definitely not Jared and Hallie's fault for the triple capture, but at the end of the day the outcome was still bad. And I hate the other two episodes and hope to never see them again.

This one was close too. Imperial Wizard pulls out the win though.

Next up is the impossible layout day:

The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible
The Mysterious Manuscript of Mary Shelley
The Dried Apple Half of William Tell
The Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 24: Discarded Seal/Hans Holbein Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 03, 2014, 12:44:17 AM
I voted for Discarded Seal as the best episode from this day. Despite the really hard layouts, this day was pretty bad. Discarded Seal was a great episode though and Travis and Elisa were an amazing team. They were robbed in the temple too and deserved a second chance. Despite not reaching the artifact, it is one of the best episodes on the show.
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 24: Discarded Seal/Hans Holbein Day

The Enormous Feather of the Me Linh

Next up is another day with some good episodes:

The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu
The Broken Trident of Poseidon
The Lily-Crested Crown of Clovis I
The Mussel-Shell Armor of Apanuugpak
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 26: Red Sash/Lily-Crested Crown's Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 05, 2014, 12:15:12 AM
I went with Apanuugpak for this production day. One of the best episodes ever on the show, and it featured Gator. None of the other episodes can come even close to Apanuugpak.  Red Sash was good too, but it can never top Gator.  ;)

Next up is the mainly India-themed production day. ;)

The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen
The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King
The Lost Taj Mahal Turban of Aurangzeb
The Melted Head of Madame Tussaud
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 27: Egyptian Queen/Madame Tussaud Day

I voted for Egyptian Queen as the best episode from this day.  :mrpurple: It was a great episode and the Purple Parrots were an awesome team. TJ and Randy were the first (and only) Purple Parrot team to win a tiebreaker. And then they won the temple run in exciting fashion. This is an episode that does not deserve the hate it gets.  :mrpurple:

I am going to update this one before going to class. ;) Metal Beard wins this production day,  :mrpurple:

Next up is the second to last production day that was pretty unsuccessful.

The Pearl Necklace of Gwalior
The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd
The Lost Whale Bone of Pytheas
The Dried Ear of Corn of Sojourner Truth
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 28: Gwalior/Sojourner Truth Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 06, 2014, 02:35:43 PM
I voted for Belle Boyd as the best episode this day. While the earlier rounds might've been forgettable, Leah and Matthew were a good team all day. And their temple run was a very strong performance despite taking an extra long path. And truth be told, most of these episodes are forgettable. But Belle Boyd was a good run in my book.  ;)

Yeah, I agree, this set of episodes really are forgettable. But I also voted for Belle Boyd, for same reasons. Leah and Matthew were easily the strongest team that day, and they were fast. ;) The rest of the teams that day were just plain average.

The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza

This was a great production day and all of these episodes were good. But there is one episode that stands out, and that is our last episode ever. Catherine the Great gets my vote here. Red Jaguars bias aside, this was truly a wonderful way to close the show and you couldn't have asked for a better performance and win.  :mrred:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 29: Sforza/Catherine the Great's Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on May 07, 2014, 10:24:09 PM
I also voted for Catherine the Great. :mrred: The rest of the episodes are great too, including Sforza. Like I said in the tourney thread, I find Sforza underrated and I happen to like that episode. But nothing tops Catherine the Great. What a great way to close the show. :mrred:
Title: Re: Best Episode by Production Day - Day 29: Sforza/Catherine the Great's Day

And I updated the chart in the OP to include Belle Boyd's filming day, with Belle Boyd being bolded with 5 votes. I also added the (8[*b][/*b]) code next to the production days that end in "8." That way the 8) smiley doesn't show up. So you might have to re add that code next time you update the OP. ;)

Catherine the Great wins this production day! Also, thanks for adding the Belle Boyd day to the original post.  ;)

Now we are going to move onto the WORST episode for each production day. So we are revisiting Season 1 and doing S1L1 again (including Blackbeard).

Blackbeard's Treasure Map
The Golden Cup of Belshazzar
Galileo's Cannonball
Wild Bill Hickok and the Dead Man's Hand
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 30: Blackbeard/Belshazzar Day (S1L1)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 09, 2014, 12:41:12 AM
I voted for Blackbeard as the worst episode. First episode or not, this one was a huge disaster. The really bad editing and the piss poor temple run makes this episode hard to watch. Sabrina was a horrible player.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 30: Blackbeard/Belshazzar Day (S1L1)
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on May 09, 2014, 12:43:27 AM
I also voted for Blackbeard. Even though it was entirely produced in S1L5, it still deserves my vote. This episode was just painful to watch.

Blackbeard is the worst episode for this production day.

Next up is S1L2:

John Henry's Lost Hammer
The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan
Elizabeth I's Golden Ship
John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 31: Cricket Cage/Lost Gold Mine Day (S1L2)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 09, 2014, 03:21:47 PM
Wow, this was a pretty lousy production day. At least 3 of these episodes I don't ever really bother watching. -_- In the end, I voted for Golden Cricket Cage because there was nothing redeemable about it.

Golden Ship was more of an unremarkable episode then a bad one. Even if the temple run was super short, you can't blame Gabby and Joe.
Lost Hammer had another really shitty player who did not know what a button was, but the rest of the episode was actually pretty good.
Golden Cricket Cage was just a suckfest all the way through. John and Tia were horrible players and of course they gave us the worst temple run ever. So my vote goes to Golden Cricket Cage. -__________________-

The Helmet of Genghis Khan
The Trojan Horseshoe
The Pendant of Kamehameha
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 31: Alhambra/Kamehameha Day (S1L3)

I voted for Alhambra as the worst episode this day. Not only is this the worst episode on this day, but the worst one on the whole show. Steve and Lisa had no business being in the temple in the first place. And then Lisa screws it up anyways by sucking. -_-

Time for the Blue Barracuda day mixed with a dab of Silver Snakes:

The Lost Logbooks of Magellan
The Moccasins of Geronimo
Henry VIII's Great Seal
The Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 33: Lost Logbooks/Geronimo Day (S1L4)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 11, 2014, 08:21:22 PM
There are two episodes I don't like on this day: Magellan and Amelia Earhart. I seriously could care less about either episode, and both are honestly on my blacklist.

Regardless, I voted for Amelia Earhart because this episode pisses me off more than Magellan. Mostly thanks to Kristen and her incompetence. She didn't do anything to help her team out, and she screwed up big time in the temple. She literally had trouble with every room of the temple, and Scott never got a chance to enter. Magellan was more of a boring episode than a really bad one. The temple run sucks too, but it doesn't make me as mad as Kristen. Annie and Scott should've been a team in the temple.

And I updated the chart in the OP yet again to include S1L3's filming day for worst episode. I wasn't sure on Alhambra's final totals. It was a unanimous 5 votes, right? That's what I put down in the chart, but you can change it if it's wrong. ;)

Thanks for updating that. And Alhambra did get 5 votes also. And it looks like Amelia Earhart and the chubby Kristen wins this day. ;)

Next up is S1L5 which featured no wins:

Ponce de Leon and the Lost Fountain of Youth
The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte
The Oracle Bowl of Delphi
The Paintbrush of Leonardo Da Vinci

I voted for Jean Lafitte. While all of these episodes were unremarkable, this is the one I can't stand looking at. It was so boring and the Blue Barracudas had no business in the temple in the first place. Plus, they sucked in the temple too. Especially Terry Kay who was both very short and very slow. An episode I would not miss if it somehow got deleted forever.

I am surprised Oracle Bowl got a vote? Those are one of the episodes where the temple run was just bad and everything else was good. The earlier rounds were great and Jackie and Shane were doing really good. Definitely not as bad as Jean Lafitte which was crap all day.

Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on May 12, 2014, 09:58:33 PM
Yeah, Shane and Jackie were a strong all at least pre temple. It was Jackie who screwed up the temple run. I actually happen to like Oracle Bowl despite that. The rest of the episodes on this day are blah.

I voted for Stolen Arm as the worst episode from this production day. It was the last episode I needed to watch, and there is nothing great about this episode whatsoever. It was so boring and forgettable, and the temple run sucks due to how slow the team moves and Evan's incompetence. Another episode that should never seen the light of day.

The Medal of Sir Edmund Hillary
The Mask of Shaka Zulu
The Golden Jaguar of Atahualpa
The Silver Saddle Horn of Hannibal
Alexander and the Gordian Knot
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 36: Shaka Zulu/Gordian Knot Day (S1L7)
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 14, 2014, 03:08:23 PM
I voted for Silver Saddle Horn being the worst episode of S1L7. I actually hate this episode even if it is utterly forgettable. Mostly because it was so boring and crappy. It had the long moat, boring temple games, and the temple run was pretty disappointing. Vicky pretty much blew it by going up the central shaft. I know Gordian Knot is forgettable too, but the episode was actually kind of interesting too. Nothing great about Saddle Horn at all and it even ranked low when I reviewed it.

Shaka Zulu is too notorious to not get the nod here IMO. It's an episode that is entirely memorable only due to the monumental production error. It has earned it's place in infamy!

This was a good production day and I like all of these episodes... except for Mata Hari. Just like Silver Saddle Horn, it was just so boring and weak all the way through. It had an unfair temples games officiating and the crappy Blue Barracuda girl. Also, the temple run was not very good with chubby Garrett and slow ass Rinette. And no, I have no sympathy for her either.

Also, I added       to the poll. Can't believe I forgot that one.   :mrsilver:

I also voted for Mata Hari. Gareth wasn't a bad player at all, it was slowpoke Rinette who annoyed me. I have no sympathy for her. I don't care if you have 44 seconds left on the clock, you have to MOVE in the temple. I don't know how anyone can defend her.

And I was the one who fixed everything. How can you forget there was a fifth episode on this production day? ;)

Thanks for fixing that, Paintbrush. I was a little slow there. I can't believe I forgot       anyways due to how easy the win was. :P

And yeah, nothing great about Mata Hari at all. I am glad that I am not the only one that thought Garrett did a fine job. Not the best, but he left Rinette plenty of time. Rinette on the other hand... just didn't know what she was doing. :? The only thing I like about Mata Hari is the legend.

Yeah, same here. I might even say it was the best legend of Season 1. Too bad the rest of the episode was lacking. And don't even get me started on the temple games. When even chubby Gareth can climb a dragon tunnel better than the Blue Barracuda girl, you know you're doomed. I actually think it was better that the Silver Snakes went to the temple. I don't even want to see the Blue Barracuda girl in the temple.

The Silver Cannonball of Grandy Nanny

Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 16, 2014, 03:37:24 PM
What a crappy production day (Butch Cassidy included). Anyways, I gave this vote to Grandy Nanny. This episode featured an annoying and incompetent Orange Iguanas team. Not to mention, the editing and Kirk's commentary was off-beat in this episode. No wonder everyone thought this as thefirst episode of Season 1. And I have seen this episode countless times too.

Can I vote for all of them? I hate almost every episode on this production day. But I also voted for Grandy Nanny. For the terrible camerawork, Kirk's awkward commentary, and the ADHD Orange Iguanas who failed miserably in the temple. Rewatching this episode yesterday reminded me all over again why I hate this episode.

Why rewatch Grandy Nanny?   It was such an awful episode for the reasons we mentioned. I do like the squirting temple game used in this episode, but everything else sucked. Imagine if these two at Stone Head's layout? This would've been another Golden Cricket Cage run where only 4 rooms would be entered.

Also, thanks for fixing the chart too. ;)

I was looking for something to watch, and I have seen it a million times. It's not like I can erase it from my memory. Plus, I still want to rank them in the player rankings thread, so I wanted to see if my scores from last year were accurate enough.

But truth be told, I don't like ANY of the S2L1 episodes. Not even Silver Horseshoe. Comeback kids? Hah, try dumb luck kids.

The Lost Love Letter of Captain John Smith
The Diary of Dr. Livingstone
The Bone Necklace of the Blackfeet Chief

Both of the triple capture episodes from this day were pathetic and unremarkable. Both really shouldn't have happened in the first place either. I voted for Harriet Tubman as the worst episode because it was more pathetic than Captain John Smith. This team would've won if Ryan simply followed his partner's path. In Captain John Smith, the team passed a half-pendant that was kind of obscured and they weren't going to win anyways. Harriet Tubman was the worse of the two.

The Stone Head of the Evil King
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 41: Cracked Crown/Empress Theodora Day

I voted for Cracked Crown as the worst episode from this day. It was an extremely boring and an episode I have seen a million times. Every round sucked in this episode, and Kerry was a lost cause for moving so slow. I hate this episode with a passion and hope that I never have to watch it again. Stone Head was also kind of crappy too, but in that episode I did like the legend and temple games. I hate everything about Cracked Crown.

I voted for Benjamin Franklin as the worst episode from this production day. It was easily the weakest link of an episode from this day. I do NOT think it is a bad episode at all. It just doesn't stack up against the three amazing wins. And Peter and Michelle should've honestly won too.

Imagine if they did win though? Then it would be hell to pick the worst episode. (My vote might've been Atocha, mostly due to the really long moat. But damn, all these episodes would've been great if Benjamin Franklin was a win)

Compared to most bottom of the central shaft runs, Electrified Key ranks towards the bottom half. It is not very exciting and is full of mistakes. I don't mind the loss, but it definitely has its problems. Runs like Red Sash, Polynesian Girl, Queen Boadicea, and Empress Eugenie are much better than Electrified Key.  ;)

I am not a fan of any of these episodes. And I hate both Lost Lion Tail and Cosa Rara with a passion. I chose Cosa Rara though because I HATE that episode with a burning passion. It was so boring and the legend was laughable. And Jessica was complete crap in the temple. Lost Lion Tail was a crapfest too, but at least I remember it. Cosa Rara is an episode I never want to see again. :lipsrsealed:

Even though all of these episodes suck, this was a no-brainer for me. This one HAS to go to Little John. At least the other three episodes had some redeeming value to them: Montezuma was just boring with okay parts, Sultan Suleiman had reasonable temple games and moat, and the same can be said about Cosa Rara (stupid legend aside; the temple run was average to me). Little John has nothing good about it. From the last temple game to the horrendous temple run, this episode SUCKS!
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 44: Cosa Rara/Lost Lion Tail Day

Sultan Suleiman was pretty good in the pre-temple rounds. I remember it for the temple games being exactly like the legend. And Brian and Gracelyn were  a decent team at least before the horrible triple capture.

My gut says that Lost Lion Tail should be my vote, but I just can't vote for it over Cosa Rara. I don't know why I hate Cosa Rara so much, but it makes my blood boil thinking about. Even though Justin and Jessica were more deserving than Marie and Claude. And Claude inside the temple.

Lost Lion Tail. Because Claude sucks. End of story.

Despite a spread between votes, Lost Lion Tail still wins this one.

Next up is the last day of S2L3:

The Shriveled Hand of Efoua
The Crown of Queen Nzinga
The Mask of the Man in the Iron Mask
The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 45: Iron Mask/Two-Cornered Hat Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 23, 2014, 01:00:19 AM
I voted for Queen Nzinga as the worst episode from this day. To keep a long story short, this episode sucked ass and the triple capture should've never happened.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 45: Iron Mask/Two-Cornered Hat Day

Queen Nzinga wins this production day.

Next up is S2L4 which is also PP Pwnage day:  :mrpurple:

The Silk Sash of Mulan
The Golden Goblet of Attila the Hun
The Leopard-Skin Cloak of Annie Oakley
The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 46: Attila the Hun/Snakeskin Boots Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 23, 2014, 01:49:35 PM
I voted for Silk Sash as the worst episode from this day. It was a bad episode where every round was pretty bad. Jessie and Steven were not a good team, and they didn't deserve to even advance past the moat. And the temple run sucked too because they didn't know what they were doing. Attila the Hun is also not that great, but that episode is more filler than bad. Silk Sash just sucked. :?

Yeah, I also voted for Silk Sash, for same reasons. It's slightly worse than Golden Goblet.

Yep, time for a long overdue update! Silk Sash wins this production day with 5 votes.

Next up is the first day of S2L5:

The Golden Pepperoni of Catherine de Medici
The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan
The Milk Bucket of Freydis
The Missing Weather Maps of Charles Lindbergh
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 47: Golden Pepperoni/Charles Lindbergh Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on May 26, 2014, 11:01:19 PM
I voted for Charles Lindbergh as the worst episode from this production day. It was easily the most disappointing episode from this day. The Red Jaguars were very strong before the temple, but unfortunately Kim felt the need to blow this the worst way she can. Thank you Kim for bringing shame to the Red Jaguars. -_-
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 47: Golden Pepperoni/Charles Lindbergh Day

The Broken Wing of Icarus
The Bonnet of Dolley Madison
The Priceless Portrait of the Polynesian Girl

Oh come off it. It's CLEARLY your favorite episode. ;) :mrred:

Not in this lifetime.

And the last day of Season 2 was pretty good. I actually like all of these episodes. But my vote went to Icarus because it was the most flawed one. The tiebreaker featured a really easy question that shouldn't have been wrong in the first place. And the temple run sucked because of Jason screwing around. -_- I did enjoy the earlier rounds, but the temple run really brings Icarus down.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 48: Dolley Madison/Polynesian Girl Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on June 01, 2014, 10:01:14 PM
Yeah, I also voted for Icarus, for same reasons as Stone Marker. I actually like this episode, but the dumb tiebreaker answer, and Jason's chokejob really drag it down for me. If only Jason got the grand prize for coming so close to winning.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 48: Dolley Madison/Polynesian Girl Day

It looks like Jason is good enough for his episode to win the worst episode title for this day. ;)

Next up is the first day of Season 3:

The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack
The Comet-Embroidered Battle Flag of William the Conqueror
The War Fan of the 47 Ronin
The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 49: Bifocal Monocle/Sir Gawain Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 02, 2014, 10:55:13 AM
I voted for Bifocal Monocle as the worst episode of this day. This episode is one of the biggest fails on the entire show and quite possibly the worst episode ever. Every round was bad and the Orange Iguanas were a sucky team. What a horrible way to start off a great season.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 49: Bifocal Monocle/Sir Gawain Day

Didn't you watch Bifocal Monocle on Teen Nick? I know I did, but only because it was one of the few Legends episodes they showed. I certainly didn't watch it for recreational purposes. This episode made Attila the Hun feel like Annie Taylor. I am NOT going to watch Bifocal Monocle ever again. Not in this lifetime.

Next up is the second day of Season 3:

The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta
The Lion-Slashed Jacket of Sacagawea
The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen
The Thornwood Gavel of Judge Roy Bean
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 50: Lion-Slashed Jacket/Bandit Queen Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 03, 2014, 03:17:35 PM
I placed my vote for Lion-Slashed Jacket. It was a boring and forgettable episode. I don't think it is a horrible episode, but definitely lackluster and filler. And the temple run is not that great. Thornwood Gavel had a crappy temple run, but the earlier rounds really good.  ;)

Next up is a horrible day:

The Snow Cone of Mt. Kilimanjaro
The Upside-Down Compass of Henry Hudson
The Bent Shaving Pan of Jedediah Smith
The Marble Armrest of Xerxes
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 51: Mt. Kilimanjaro/Xerxes Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 04, 2014, 01:42:14 AM
What a horrible production day! Honestly, 3/4 of these episodes deserve to win this title. I went with Snow Cone though. This was a terrible excuse of an episode that should've never happened in the first place. I don't understand who thought that this was a good idea for an episode plot? Not to mention, Casey and Heather were a sad and pathetic excuse for a team. Marble Armrest sucks too, but at least it had Zac's younger bro Levi and the interesting temple games. Snow Cone needs to go die in a fire.   :x
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 51: Mt. Kilimanjaro/Xerxes Day

Every episode except Henry Hudson deserves the vote. But I'm gonna give it to Mt. Kilimanjaro. I've wiped every aspect of that episode out of my memory. Yeah, it's that bad. Xerxes was bad too, but Zac's little brother sort of made up for it, and Bent Shaving Pan has a team I'll never feel sorry for. Mt. Kilimanjaro is bad on every single level.

Next up is another day that wasn't very good:

The Smashed Printing Plate of Frederick Douglass
The Mystical Spelllbook of the Imperial Wizard
The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain
The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce

I voted for Frederick Douglass. This episode has everything you can possibly hate about a Legends episode. The Red Jaguars were annoying, obnoxious, incompetent, and cheating team. I hate this episode and Jason and Dana.

No problem, it took me a while to fix it too. Mostly because even I was typing things in wrong. I typed in too many [*tr] for the "worst production day" side of the chart. And it took a while to move the "worst vote" parts of the chart to the right side. Everything looks fine now though. :mrred:

Smashed Printing Plate wins this production day.

Now for a better production day, the one with the Pirate Captain win

The Ivory Hunting Horn of Roland
The Royal Torque of Queen Boadicea
The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain
The Enormous Feather of the Me Linh
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 53: Roland/Enormous Feather Day

I voted for Enormous Feather as the worst run from this day. The first three episodes were great... but then we get this suckfest. The Orange Iguanas didn't deserve to go to the temple. And Karisa was just an awful player too.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 53: Roland/Enormous Feather Day

Enormous Feather wins this production day!

Next up is the production day I missed - the impossible layout day.

The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible
The Mysterious Manuscript of Mary Shelley
The Dried Apple Half of William Tell
The Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 54: Mysterious Manuscript/William Tell Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 08, 2014, 01:58:34 PM
I voted for William Tell as the worst episode from this day. This episode was extremely boring and it sucked all the way through. I can't stand the temple run either. Hard layout or not, Lauren and Brett should've made better progress since it was almost identical to Belle Boyd. And Lauren "fails as a human being" for not making any progress whatsoever with a minute to herself.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 54: Mysterious Manuscript/William Tell Day

Now we jump forward to the Red Sash day:

The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu
The Broken Trident of Poseidon
The Lily-Crested Crown of Clovis I
The Mussel-Shell Armor of Apanuugpak
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 55: Red Sash/Broken Trident Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 09, 2014, 10:49:25 PM
I voted for Lily-Crested Crown as the worst episode from this day. It is such a boring episode and I literally didn't know it even existed until Renegade needed it for his site. And the episode sucked too. I know Broken Trident had a pretty big fail for a temple run, but it was very interesting before the run started. Lily-Crested Crown sucked from the start.

Lily-Crested Crown wins this day.

Next up is the third to last day on the show:

The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen
The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King
The Lost Taj Mahal Turban of Aurangzeb
The Melted Head of Madame Tussaud
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 56: Metal Beard/Mummified Hand Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 10, 2014, 11:36:12 PM
I voted for Lost Taj Mahal Turban as the worst episode from this day. I really don't hate any of these episodes, but I felt this was the weakest of the bunch. The episode was pretty forgettable and boring and had the most flaws. The legend was dumb and the temple run could've been better. Dean was too slow and hesitant, and Chrystine should've found the half-pendant. I know people will vote for Madame Tussaud because of Nicholas and Jennifer's screaming, but the earlier rounds were pretty good in that episode. Taj Mahal Turban was just dull early temple rounds.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 56: Metal Beard/Mummified Hand Day

I am going to end this right now. Lost Taj Mahal Turban wins this one unanimously!

Now we move onto the last day of the show!

The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza
The Good-Luck Watch of Empress Eugenie
The Ruby Earring of Benzibab
The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 56: Metal Beard/Mummified Hand Day

Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 58:Empress Eugenie/Catherine the Great Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 11, 2014, 09:18:10 PM
Man, this is a tough choice. I love all four of these episodes.

Anyways, I placed my vote for Sforza. I know that Good-Luck Watch will get all the votes, but I enjoyed watching that episode all the way through. Sforza is a good episode too, but I just don't like it as much as the other episodes. It kind of felt like the producers were giving everything to Lacey and Asher on a silver platter. At least the other teams deserved their trip to the temple. I love all these episodes though and their really is no bad episode on this day. ;)
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 58:Empress Eugenie/Catherine the Great Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on June 11, 2014, 09:20:10 PM
I personally went with Good Luck Watch. It's clearly the weakest link, and Janeen's hesitations makes it really painful to watch. Should've been a win. Sforza is underrated, and I really like this episode. I know the win was easy, but Benzibab was pretty easy too, yet everyone praises that. Lacey and Asher deserved their trip to the temple, and they deserved to win.

And I fixed the spacing in the OP titles a little bit. I made sure everything fit just fine.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 58: Sforza/Catherine the Great Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 11, 2014, 09:25:11 PM
Yeah, Good-Luck Watch should've been a win. But thanks to Janeen hesitating too much, the Green Monkeys in that episode came up short. I don't know, I feel like the producers in Sforza were just trying to make everything in favor of the temple team. Even if RC and Rebecca went to the temple, they still would've had an easy layout. I know Benzibab's layout was easy too, but Kevin and Annie finishing with over a minute left was no fluke. But really, all of these episodes had favorable layouts.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 58: Sforza/Catherine the Great Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on June 11, 2014, 09:29:08 PM
But EVERY episode that day had easy layouts. All the wins that day were rigged, since it was the last filming day. Hell even Catherine the Great was rigged in a way. And Good Luck Watch's layout was easy too, especially since Jay and Janeen were literally forced to take the Shrine/Forest passage. It wasn't just Sforza with the "fixed" layout, they were all like that. It would've been a 4-4 day had it not been for Janeen hesitating and the production error in the Jester's Court. Good Luck Watch is harder to watch because of all the hesitating.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 58: Sforza/Catherine the Great Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on June 13, 2014, 11:28:28 PM
Well, it looks like Good Luck Watch wins this after all.

Now we can finally move on to Pytheas' filming day I assume?
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 58: Sforza/Catherine the Great Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 13, 2014, 11:55:20 PM
Yeah, let's finally finish this topic once and for all. Empress Eugenie wins this production day with Sforza not too close behind.

And we finally move onto the last production day we need to cover:

The Pearl Necklace of Gwalior
The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd
The Lost Whale Bone of Pytheas
The Dried Ear of Corn of Sojourner Truth
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 59: Belle Boyd/Pytheas Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 13, 2014, 11:58:18 PM
I voted for Lost Whale Bone as the worst episode from this production day. I have seen this episode a hundred times thanks to Nick GaS, and it so boring and mediocre. The legend was lame and the temple run was boring and frustrating. Brittany was slow and Damien was slooooooooooooooooooooooooow.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 59: Belle Boyd/Pytheas Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on June 13, 2014, 11:59:14 PM
Also voted for Lost Whale Bone. But then again, Dried Ear of Corn was a lame, overplayed episode as well.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 59: Belle Boyd/Pytheas Day
Post by: The Red Jaguars on June 14, 2014, 12:09:13 AM
Sojourner Truth was lame too for sure. I dislike Whale Bone a little more though because of how slow Brittany and Damien were. But I forgot Sojourner Truth aired with Golden Cricket Cage on Nick GaS.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 59: Belle Boyd/Pytheas Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on June 14, 2014, 12:11:06 AM
Yeah, I also voted for Lost Whale Bone because I disliked that episode a little more too. But at least Lost Whale Bone got paired up with a decent episode. Dried Ear of Corn got paired up with Cricket Cage. AND it was played over and over on Nick Gas. Ad nauseum.
Title: Re: Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 59: Belle Boyd/Pytheas Day
Post by: Purple Parrots Fan on June 16, 2014, 09:58:44 PM
Well, it looks like Pytheas wins this unanimously. I updated the chart in the OP to reflect that. ;)

And that's it.... we've covered all the best/worst production days. Good for us.
