I gave this run a 6. It's a pretty average run, but not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Sherra and Derek were extremely strong pre temple, but didn't exactly measure up in the temple run. They moved pretty slow, but their layout was hard. Even if Sherra and Derek had sped up, and taken more shortcuts, they still would've lost. Also, this run is memorable for Derek dropping the monkey piece over the edge at the last second. And very poorly edited to boot. Overall, I'd say this was an average run, with a typical difficult Season 3 temple layout. But of course, Sherra is a bad person for taking a direct path. And Derek is a bad person for dropping the monkey over the edge.

I gave Henry Hudson a 5. It was a middle of the road run for me. On one hand, the temple run is very boring and not memorable at all. On the other hand, Sherra and Derek faced a tough layout and they made it far taking into account their progress. If we were rating temple runs from the entire show, I would definitely give this a 6. But since we are comparing it to other Purple Parrot runs, I had to give it a slightly lower score. But still, Sherra and Derek were not bad players and their only problem was their slow speed. And their difficult layout did not help matters. Probably the most forgettable Purple Parrot episode.

I personally thought Bone Necklace was more forgettable, but whatever. But look at it this way: Tomorrow is Metal Beard, the other Season 3 run from the Parrots. At least that one was memorable. And we just rated it recently too.

Yeah, Blackfeet Chief had nothing memorable about it either. It is a toss-up between that one and Henry Hduson. :o And I love Metal Beard and hope to see everyone rate it high. Definitely look forward to rating that one.  :mrpurple:

It will probably finish with the same average it did in the wins thread. I hope it ranks high too, since Metal Beard is another overlooked run. :mrpurple:

I take it you're busy touring again? ;) [/off topic]

By the way, I'll update the polls tomorrow. Since I now have 5 votes, I think it's safe to finally give it an update. :mrpurple:

Sounds good to me!!

And we were SUPPOSED to be leaving for a tour next week but the person in charge of booking it failed to do their job. Last time I ever leave that in someone else's hands.

So we're rescheduling for November. BUT, we have an acoustic show tomorrow that we've been preparing for. And last night I was at my friends' show. Check them out. They're called Candy Hearts.

[/sorry for all the off topic stuff]

And with a 5.4 average, time to end the poll for "The Upside-Down Compass of Henry Hudson."

Up next is "The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen." :mrpurple:

I gave this run an 8. Like I said in the "Rate the wins" thread, this was a solid Purple Parrots win. :mrpurple: I know it was basically a replica of "Dr. Livingstone" and "Bandit Queen," but both this and Bandit Queen were much more exciting. Both TJ and Randy were fast, competent, and it was great to see the Parrots FINALLY win a tiebreaker. Randy's exit plan was pretty risky, but I don't hold that against her at all. That's what made the whole run exciting. Overall, this is a very overlooked win that needs more praise, and TJ and Randy deserved to win. :mrpurple:

I gave Egyptian Queen a 9! I love this episode and Purple Parrot team. Like Billy the Kid, this was a Purple Parrot team that you can't root against at all. TJ and Randy were the last temple team for the Purple Parrots, and they broke tradition by winning a tiebreaker for them! And not only that, but they also won the temple run too.  :mrpurple: The temple run itself was exciting. TJ and Randy were definitely solid players and I also enjoyed how both players cheered for each other. Randy's exit was a little crazy and TJ's scream was a little annoying, but it made the ending also a nail biter. Even though the Purple Parrots only went to the temple twice this season, they still pulled it off with a solid performance. One of their greatest episodes on the show. :mrpurple:  :mrpurple:  :mrpurple:  :mrpurple:  :mrpurple:

Yeah, this was definitely a solid performance by the Purple Parrots. :mrpurple: Too bad we can't say the same for tomorrow's episode.

You go from one team that you can't help root against to a team you wish you never even watched their episode.

Yeah, and then we go back to great runs, and save the Parrots' other win for best for last. So it all works out. :mrpurple:
