The Blue Bandana of Calamity Jane

In the moat, the teams had to navigate across a series of ancient rings hanging across the moat, without touching the water.  Everyone started at a good speed, but the Green Monkeys broke away from the rest of the teams, and got ahead by a ring.  The Orange Iguanas were leading the rest of the teams by about half a ring, but then they fell into the water and had to start again.  The Silver Snakes also fell into the water and had to start again.  The Green Monkeys kept their lead, and they ringing in first.  The Blue Barricudas, who had broken away from the rest of the teams, were out not far behind and rang in second.  The Red Jaguars were going to be the next across, but when the second player tried to step of the ring, she fell into the water, causing them to have to start over.  The Purple Parrots had kept a steady speed the whole time, and because of that, they rang in third.  The Silver Snakes fell in again, putting them basically out of it.  The Red Jaguars knew that they needed to hurry to catch up to The Orange Iguanas, and they got even with them.  They stayed close, and both got off their rings at the same time.  In the foot race to the finish, The Orange Iguanas barely beat out the Red Jaguars, and rang in fourth

At The Steps of Knowledge, Olmec told the teams the legend, and revealed that the Bandana was in The Laser Light Room.  The teams started out evenly, eith Green getting the first question right, Orange getting the second, and Blue getting the third.  Blue then got the fourth question right, putting them one step away.  Purple got the fifth question right, moving them down with Green and Orange.  Green got the sixth and seventh questions right, putting them into The Temple Games.  Blue got the seventh question right, sending them to face the Green Monkeys in The Temple Games.

Before The Temple Games Kirk introduced the teams.  The Blue Barracudas consisted of Josh and Lisa.  John liked to play hockey and Lisa wanted to be a fashion designer when she grew up.  On the Green Monkeys, there was Roy and Kala.  Roy played the drums and Kala played volleyball.

In the first Temple Game, it was Josh against Roy.  While attached to a bungie cord, they had to jumb up, grab a bandana, and put it into their bucket.  Both players took a little time to build up momentum, and Roy was the first to graba bandana.  He also got his second before Josh got his first.  He didn't get one on his next jump, so the score was tied 2-2 with :14 left.  Both jumped up and grabbed a bandana, but Josh dropped his on the way down, so it wouldn't count.  Time ran out before either could get another bandana, so Roy won the half pendent for Green.

The second Temple Game pitted Lisa against Kala.  They were attached to bungie cords in the middle of a slippery, square surface.  They had to grab a bandana from a bucket in the middle, and put it on a head in one of the corners of the surface.  Both had trouble, and it wasn't unti lthere was :40 left that Kala managed to score.  Lisa scored shortly after.  They didn't have as much trouble now, and both were getting the bandanas on at a good speed, but because of her early lead, Kala got her four on first, earning a half pendent for Green.

In the third Temple Game, the teams were attached together on a vertical platform, and had to manuever around it so that they could get to a big opening and one of them could pass through.  Green had a rough start, so Blue got an early lead.  They knew they needed to win, so they went all out and won, tying the teams at one pendent each.  The tiebreaker pedestal was brought out, and Olmec asked another question.  Green rung in first and got it right, sending them to The Temple.

Before the Temple Run, Olmec explained the layout of the rooms.  Kala said she was going first, so Kirk gave her the team's only pendent.  After he said go, Kala raced into The Temple at a good speed, and headed up into The Crypt.  The third one opened the door leading to The Trouble Bridge with 2:47 left.  She tried the door to The King's Storeroom, and it opened.  She found the key in the second pot, and the door opened on the second hole.  She went down to Medusa's Lair with 2:31 left.  She was immediatly caught by a Temple Guard so she gave up pendent.  After having some trouble she got the snakes into the head, and a door opened into The Room of the Ancient Warriors with 2:10 left.  She tried all three suit of armor, and the door opened on the third, but she was also caught by a Temple guard, so her run ended with 1:52 left.  Roy went into The Temple at a slow pace, and followed her path to The King's Storeroom, where he went straight to The Room of the Ancient Warriors.  He entered The Shrine of the Silver Monkey with 1:29 left.  He took a very long time trying to put the monkey together, and when he finally got it together, there was only :53 left.  He then went down to The Dark Forest.  He reached into the tree on the right, but didn't find a key.  He reached into the tree on the left, but he was caught by a Temple Guard, ending the team's run in The Temple with :39 left.
