The camera zooms out from a close-up shot of Olmec?s right eye, then swings around to reveal a wide shot of the entire set facing the Moat and the audience.
?Welcome back to Legends,? says Kirk, standing in front of The Jungle Crevice with the two remaining teams. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest?so let?s hear it for Adam and Ashley of the Blue Barracudas? and Ferguson and Amy of the Orange Iguanas!? The audience applauds for the four players.
?All right, then?go get ready for your games?? Kirk directs the players in different directions as the walk away ?? and I?ll explain what?s gonna happen.
?In the temple games, teams are competing for pendants of life?? Kirk grabs a pendant out of his pouch and holds it up to the camera. ?The winning team will need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards, as they make their way through the temple. There are three temple games, and Olmec will tell us about Temple Game #1.?
Olmec explains:
?All kings need a crown?and back here, we have four new kings to be crowned. When Kirk gives the signal, crawl out and grab a crown, turn around and place it on a head. Then crawl out and grab the next crown. On your journeys, you must avoid the swinging boulder?and if you are hit, you must return to the start and begin again. The first team to crown all four kings, or the player that?s further along at the end of 60 seconds? wins.?
?Let?s hope they?re not made of copper, like Cnut?s?? comments Kirk. ?On your m? No, actually, let?s put 60 seconds on the clock first!?
The clock slams down in the corner of the screen. ?All right, now it?s time for the game,? laughs Kirk. ?On your marks, get set? GO!? On this word, both players begin to crawl quickly along the footpath, with Amy getting hit by the boulder, which she didn?t manage to avoid in time. ?Oh no, Orange Iguanas gotta go back,? comments Kirk, ?that gives an opening for the Blue Barracudas!? [0:49] By this point, Ashley has already returned her first crown to the basket, and the camera zooms in on it? to show that it is in fact copper-colored. As Amy brings her first crown back, Ashley is already halfway on her way to her second, but gets hit by the boulder just moments before laying hands on it. [0:33] ?Boulders are flying, crowns are slipping here and there? there?s a lot of things that could distract you in this game?? comments Kirk. ?All right, the Blue Barracudas are catching up again!? Amy has now regained the lead, and as 12 seconds remain on the clock, the score is 3-2 orange, but the blue ties it up quickly? two seconds before the clock explodes and time is up!
?That?s it!? says Kirk a couple of seconds after the boulders stop swinging. ?We?re gonna count up the scores now? all right, we?ve got one? two? three crowns on the blue? and? one? two? THREE crowns on the orange! It?s a tie?they each get the half pendant of life!? The audience cheers briefly at this, as the two girls tiredly give each other a high-five. ?The second game is also worth a half-pendant,? continues Kirk, ?and Olmec will tell us about that one too, right, Olmec??
Olmec narrates:
?To make a new crown for Cnut, servants went all over the country searching for gold. Now you will do some treasure hunting of your own! When Kirk gives the signal, rummage through the rubble in the pit in front of you. If you find a piece of gold, pull it out and bring it back to your treasure chest. The team who collects the most pieces of gold at the end of 60 seconds? wins.?
?Be careful, teams,? says Kirk mysteriously. ?Alright, let?s put 60 seconds on the clock!?
The clock slams down into position. ?On your marks, get set? GO!? Both boys immediately jump into action, clawing at the foam blocks and colored balls in front of them, mess flying all over the place. Something glistens as it flies out of the pit?Adam?s thrown out a piece of gold! ?There?s a piece!? says Kirk. ?You missed it?it flew out, it?s right there? there ya go!? [0:44] The Orange Iguanas find their first piece shortly after, but not before the Blue Barracudas find their third piece. Rubble is now strewn all around the area, with the two players ferociously searching for the gold pieces. ?It?s 5-2 blue now!? commentates Kirk. [0:21] There seems to be a desperation in Ferguson?s face as a jib camera flies past it, as he violently throws the rubble out of the pit, uncovering two more gold pieces that he returns to his basket. Adam bags another piece, and as Ferguson wildly tries to find another, time runs out.
?Okay, stop right there!? announces Kirk, running over to the baskets. ?Let?s count up the scores here? The Blue Barracudas have? one, two, three, four, five, six pieces of gold? and the Orange Iguanas have? one, two, three, FOUR pieces of gold?the Blue Barracudas get the half pendant of life! That gives them a full pendant; the Orange Iguanas have a half. The next game is the third and final game, it?s worth a full pendant, and Olmec, will tell us about it. Olmec??
Olmec continues:
?Vikings often sailed the seas in their large, long ships. Before each team stands a Viking ship bound for Newfoundland, and it?s your job to sail it there. When Kirk gives the signal, roll your boat down the ramp and paddle your way to the island. Once there, turn your boat around, grab the lifesaver, and pull yourself back. But be careful?if your feet touch the water, you must go back and start again. The first team to land all four feet on the dock, or the team that?s further along at the end of 60 seconds? wins.?
?Whoever wins this goes to the temple,? reminds Kirk. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.?
The clock slams down into the corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set?GO!? Both boats roll down the ramp and across the floor at breakneck speed. ?It?s a close fight!? commentates Kirk, ?and no one?s giving up the lead.? [0:52] But at this point, there isn?t a lead when both teams reach the island?that is, until Ashley steps out of the boat to grab the lifesaver and the judges send the Blue Barracudas back. ?Oh, no, this might mean the Orange Iguanas may make it!? says Kirk as he states the obvious outcome at this point. ?And they?ve made it!? he yells as Ferguson and Amy jump onto the dock before jumping up and down in excitement.
?All right, nice job, guys,? congratulates Kirk, ?Blue Barracudas, come over here too? all right? Well, the Orange Iguanas made it back first, so they get the full pendant of life?that gives them one and a half pendants, then Blue Barracudas had one? the Orange Iguanas are goin? to the temple!? The crowd cheers and claps as the Ferguson hugs a screaming Amy.
?An excellent team we have right here,? says Kirk as he high-fives the Orange Iguanas, ?as well as the Blue Barracudas over here?they made a great effort, and they?re not going away empty handed. Here?s what we have for them??
Dee reads the prize:
?It?s a $500 savings bond from Nestle! Hey, kids?here?s an easy act to follow. Turn an ordinary glass into a thick chocolatey treat. Nestle Quik?it?s magic in the making!?
?This team is excited!? comments Kirk, pointing at the camera. ?And they?re gonna take on Olmec?s temple, retrieve the Copper Crown of the Viking King? right after this!? The camera does a rapid zoom-out from the dock, eventually ending up as a wide angle of the entire temple games floor with the temple in the background. The pendant crashes together, and the screen fades to black as the outro finishes.
