I'm probably pulling a n00b here, but I just noticed that the Laser Light Room laser platform is actually just the back of the Throne of the Pretender.

Did anyone else know that?

Yeah, I noticed that a while back. It seemed that they were planning the Laser Light Room when they created the new Throne Room because there were already squrares cut out on the back of it.

I never saw that, but I have another question concerning the Laser Light Room. How did a Temple Guard leave the room after taking a player's Pendant? Have they ever shown one walking out?

The doors were still there behind the wall that held the lights. A temple guard would walk behind the wall, open the door, and enter the "Subspace of the Temple."

The problem the room had concerning the temple guards is that there was no peephole they could look out of to see the contestants--they had to actually look around the corner before making their move. Hardly surprising.

I'm sure it wasn't hard to hear Kirk saying "She's heading for the Laser Light Room!" and the abundant smoke in that room gave them the element of surprise.

The temple guards in the Laser Light Room were obvious to the audience, but definitely not the contestants. Some memorable screams came from that room.
