A tragic day for heavy metal fans.  The loss of Type O Negative frontman, Peter Steele, last month, was a big one, but Dio? Even bigger.  He was an amazing and influential vocalist, and he'd been fighting cancer for a while, but it absolutely sucks that he died when he was so eager to recover and get back to touring and recording. :(

I only found out about this yesterday, and this is indeed a loss for heavy metal and rock fans around the world. He was an integral part of so many great bands, and his loss is a gap in the world of music that's going to take a long, long time to heal.

RIP, Ronnie. We're gonna miss you...
