Title: Legends: Rebirth-The Torn Veil of Angela Merici
Post by: The Bandit King on May 22, 2010, 01:09:50 PM
Episode 37: The Torn Veil of Angela Merici

The camera winds and twists its way through a thick jungle of strange and exotic plants. After a few wrong turns, it finally stops in front of an ancient Mayan temple. At the base of the temple, a giant stone head sits. Suddenly, the head’s eyes light up and it begins to speak:

Legends of the Hidden Temple: Rebirth!” These words appear on the screen. “With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now!”

A middle-aged man wearing a denim shirt and blue jeans swings in on a rope. He drops down and runs up the Steps of Knowledge, microphone in hand.

“Thank you! Thank you, everybody! Nice to see everyone again! It’s good to see you again, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple: Rebirth. The rooms are filled with lost treasures protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legends behind each of these newly discovered treasures in his temple…which one are we gonna hear about today, Olmec?”

“The legend of the Torn Veil of Angela Merici,” Olmec replies.

“Oh, the Torn Veil of Angela Merici,” Kirk repeats. “Well, the legend is set, and one of these six teams will have a chance to retrieve the torn veil—will it be:

“The Red Jaguars?” The camera zooms in on each team as they are introduced.
“The Blue Barracudas?
“The Green Monkeys?
“The Orange Iguanas?
“The Purple Parrots?
“Or the Silver Snakes?

“They’ll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests, but in the end, only one team will have the right to enter the Temple. But first, they have to cross the Moat, and Olmec will tell us how they have to do that today…”

Olmec begins to explain the Moat Crossing:
“Before you, a large tree has fallen across the Moat. When Kirk gives the signal, one player from each team will begin walking across the tree until they reach the other side. Once you’re safely across, your partner will cross in the same way. You may use the branches and roots of the tree as handholds; however, if you fall or if a knee touches the tree, you must go back and start again. Once both players reach the other side, run over and hit the gong.” Kirk bangs the Silver Snakes’ gong to demonstrate. “The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round!”

“All right, let’s get started, then,” Kirk remarks. “Hey, teams, are you ready?”
All six teams scream and cheer in response.
“Olmec, are you ready?” Kirk asks.
“Let’s rock and roll,” Olmec replies.
“Okay,” Kirk says. “On your mark, get set, GO!”

All six team members rush out onto the fallen tree, using the branches for leverage wherever possible. The Red Jaguars’ boy’s falls off the tree and is sent back, but everyone else eventually makes it across. “This is tough, because you’ve got to keep your balance and make sure your knees don’t touch the trunk!” Kirk narrates as the Green Monkeys’ girl does just that. “Oh, just like that—Green Monkeys have to go back now!” Kirk shouts. The Blue Barracudas’ girl loses her footing and slips into the Moat, and she also has to go back. The Silver Snakes, Orange Iguanas and Purple Parrots all get their second player across rather quickly, and they hit their team’s gongs in that order. “Three teams—we’ve only got room for one more,” Kirk explains. The Red Jaguars’ boy has now made it across, and the Red Jaguars’ girl is crossing along with the Blue Barracudas’ girl and the Green Monkeys’ girl. At about the same time, the Red Jaguars and Blue Barracudas lose their grip on one of the tree limbs, and each fall into the Moat. Before they can trudge back to their starting position, the Green Monkeys’ girl has made it across, and she hits her team’s gong to end the Moat Crossing.

“That’s it—four teams, right there!” Kirk shouts as he runs over and stands beside the Silver Snakes. “Silver Snakes had no problems getting across that Moat, and going on to the Steps of Knowledge will be the Silver Snakes…and the Purple Parrots…” Kirk pauses between each team’s name to allow for applause. “…and the Orange Iguanas…and the Green Monkeys! The Red Jaguars and the Blue Barracudas didn’t quite make it, but we’ve got a great gift for them anyway, and here’s what it is!” They receive a $50 gift certificate from GameStop.

Kirk and the remaining four teams are now standing atop the Steps of Knowledge.
“As the quest continues, it’s now time for Olmec to tell us about the Torn Veil of Angela Merici. But teams, pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec’s Temple…”

Olmec begins to tell the story:
“One of the greatest feminist visionaries in history was Saint Angela Merici. She was born in the late 1400s in what is now Italy. Angela was orphaned along with her sister when she was only ten, and so they moved in with their uncle. Inspired by the deaths of her sister and then her uncle, Angela became a nun, and adopted the then-controversial idea that girls should receive the same education as boys. She converted her own home into a school, and began teaching young girls basic history, grammar, and religion. But the men in the community were not amused. Legend has it that a group of them barged into the school while Angela was there.
“‘We’re-a here to see Signora Merici,’ said one man.
“‘That’s me,’ replied Angela. ‘What can I do for you gentlemen?’
“‘We’re-a not too keen on some of the things you’ve been-a teaching our-a children.’
“‘A woman’s-a place is in the home—making-a pasta, making-a babies—not learning these-a useless ideas that they can’t even put to good-a use! Everybody knows that-a men are smarter than-a women anyway!’
“‘If you think men are smarter than women, how do you account for the fact that my girls make better grades than most of your sons that attend school?’ Angela replied.
“‘We’re-a not here to hear-a statistics! We’re-a going to trash this-a place!’
“It was at this point that Angela took her nun’s veil off her head, tore it in half, and threw it to the floor.
“‘You want to destroy this school? Fine—I’ll build another one! If you drive me out of town, my students will continue my work! You can’t destroy ideas when you know as well as I do that they’re the truth!’
“Embarrassed, the men shuffled silently out the door. Angela picked up her torn veil, and kept it until the day she died. Years later, it found its way to the Temple. Your quest is to find the Torn Veil of Angela Merici and bring it back here.”

“All right, thanks, Olmec,” says Kirk. “But tell us, please—where is the Torn Veil?”

“The Torn Veil of Angela Merici can be found in the Room of the Secret Password,” Olmec replies. The camera zooms in on the half-torn veil hanging on the guardrail of the room before fading back to Kirk.

“All right,” Kirk says. “Teams, you’re now standing on The Steps of Knowledge. In just a minute, Olmec’s gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you’re right, you can move down to the next level, but if you’re wrong or run out of time, I’m gonna give the other teams a chance.” Kirk begins descending the Steps. “The first two teams to make it down to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec’s Temple. Olmec…we’re now ready for your first question.”

Olmec begins:
“Was Angela Merici born in what is now: Spain, Italy, or France?”
The Silver Snakes ring in. “Italy.”
“That is correct,” Olmec replies. The Silver Snakes step down to the second step.
“Silver Snakes, step down,” Kirk instructs. “Next question, Olmec.”

“Was Angela Merici’s occupation: nurse, nomad, or nun?”
The Green Monkeys ring in. “A nun?”
“That is correct,” Olmec replies. The Green Monkeys join the Silver Snakes on the second step.
“Green Monkeys step down now,” Kirk narrates. “Next question.”

“Did Angela think women and men should have: the same salary, the same education, or the same shoe size?”
The Silver Snakes ring in. “Same education.”
“That is correct,” Olmec booms. The Silver Snakes step down to the next-to-last step.
“All right—Silver Snakes are just one step away,” Kirk observes. “Anything can happen, though—next question.”

“What did Angela convert into a school for girls: her home, her garden, or—”
The Orange Iguanas ring in. “Uh, her…house.”
“That…is correct,” Olmec hesitantly responds. The Orange Iguanas step down to the second level.
“Orange Iguanas now step down,” Kirk says. “Still looking for two teams—next question, Olmec.”

“Who in the community did not approve of Angela’s philosophies: the clergy, the men, or the—”
The Silver Snakes ring in. “The men!”
That is correct!” Olmec booms. The Silver Snakes jump down to the bottom level and high-five one another.
“Silver Snakes are now our first team for the Temple Games,” Kirk comments. “But we still need one more team. Who’s it gonna be—the Purple Parrots, the Orange Iguanas, or the Green Monkeys? Next question.”

“Did the men believe that a woman’s place was: in the garden, in the home, or in the Shrine of the—”
The Green Monkeys ring in. “In the home?”
“That is correct,” Olmec affirms. The Green Monkeys proceed to the penultimate level.
“Green Monkeys are now just one step away,” Kirk narrates. “Still plenty of time for our other two teams—next question.”

“Did the men threaten to: run Angela out of town—”
The Orange Iguanas ring in prematurely. “Uh…run her out of town?”
“Incorrect,” Olmec replies. “The three choices are: run Angela out of town, trash the school, or take Angela to—”
The Green Monkeys ring in. “Trash the school?”
“That…is correct!” Olmec booms. The Green Monkeys bound down to the bottom step, where they are congratulated by the Silver Snakes.

“And we’ve got our two teams,” Kirk remarks as he rushes over and stands between them. “They are the Green Monkeys, and the Silver Snakes! Orange Iguanas and Purple Parrots, you guys were great, too—come on down here. These guys aren’t going home empty-handed, no…we’ve got a great gift for them, and here’s what it is!” They receive The Princess and the Frog on DVD.

Kirk is now seen standing between the two advancing teams. “These two teams are gonna be playing for the right to enter Olmec’s Temple, and they’ll do it right after this!”

The camera pans in on a small rocky area beside Olmec and zooms in on a group of fake spiders and snakes placed there as the title appears onscreen, and we fade to a commercial.

We return from the break to find Kirk standing in front of the Temple with the two remaining teams.

“Welcome back,” he says. “Now, of course, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest…

“So let’s hear it for Tommy and Michelle of the Green Monkeys!” The audience claps for the tall brown-eyed girl with jet-black hair and the equally tall blue-eyed boy with curly brown hair.

“And Sammy and Vanessa of the Silver Snakes!” The audience claps for the Hispanic girl with long brown hair tied back in a scrunchie and the tall brown-eyed boy with dirty-blond hair.

“All right, you guys, are you ready to play?” Kirk asks.

“Yeah!” they loudly reply.

“All right—go get ready for the Temple Games,” Kirk says. “Now, in the Temple Games, our teams are competing for…” Kirk retrieves a Pendant of Life from his pouch and holds it up to the camera. “…Pendants of Life. Our winning team is gonna need Pendants just like this one to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple. There are three Temple Games—Olmec, please tell us about the first one…”

“Leave it all to me,” Olmec replies. The black lights under him come on as he begins to explain the first Game:

“When Angela Merici became frustrated with the men who broke into the school, she tore her veil in half and threw it on the ground. In this game, you are about to give Angela four new veils to replace her torn one. When Kirk gives the signal, run out, grab a veil, come back and place it on one of your four busts. Then run back out and grab another veil. Along the way, you must avoid the swinging obstacles. The first player to get all four veils, or…the team with the most veils at the end of sixty seconds…wins.”

“Okay, looks like we’re getting some veils here,” Kirk remarks. “Let’s get started—set the clock for thirty—no, sixty seconds!” The clock slams down in the bottom right-hand corner, set for the correct time. “On your mark, get set, GO!”

Michelle and Vanessa each run out, grab the first veil, bring it back and place it on their first stone head without getting hit. With some planning, Vanessa manages to get her second veil, but Michelle is hit trying to get hers. As Vanessa rushes out to get her third veil, she is hit, allowing Michelle to get her second veil and tie the game up with 40 seconds left. Michelle runs out to get the third veil, but gets hit trying to bring it back. Vanessa waits for the sandbags to swing by her before she progresses, allowing her to make it back with her third veil with 22 seconds left. Michelle manages to retrieve her third veil and bring it back a few seconds later, but by this time, Vanessa is almost halfway out to get her final veil. Michelle somehow makes it to her fourth veil with only five seconds left. A last-second dash to get the veils back in time proves futile for both girls, as they both get hit by a sandbag. Time expires very soon afterwards.

“Oh, that’s it!” Kirk shouts as he rushes back onscreen. “Come on over here—they made a mad dash there at the end, but they both couldn’t make it back in time. So both teams got three veils; that means both teams get the half Pendant of Life!” Kirk pauses to allow the audience to applaud. “Don’t worry, because the tie might be broken in this next Temple Game. It’s also worth a half Pendant—Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2…”

Olmec begins:
“After she converted her own home into a school for girls, Angela taught many subjects that are now considered commonplace for any education. Before you stands a maze with numerous compartments. Inside each compartment is a textbook on a certain subject. Your task is to obtain four history textbooks. When Kirk gives the signal, crawl into the maze and pop up in one of the compartments. If the book you find is a history book, come back and place it in your bin; otherwise, take the book and pop up in another compartment. Then, exchange the book you have for the book in the compartment, and keep searching. The first player to retrieve all four history books, or…the player with the most history books at the end of sixty seconds…wins.”

“I know the school needs textbooks, but this is just ridiculous,” Kirk jokes. “Let’s set the clock for sixty seconds!” The clock slams down in the corner, ready to go. “On your mark, get set, GO!”

Sammy and Tommy rush into the maze and pop up in a compartment. Tommy finds a history book right off the bat and rushes back to place it in his bin, but Sammy finds a book marked “English”, so he takes it and pops back down in the maze. Sammy finds a book marked “Art”, but he places both books in the cubbyhole by mistake, and goes back down in the maze empty-handed. Sammy comes up and finds a history book at the same time Tommy does, and they both bring it back to their bins with about 30 seconds to go. Sammy gets lucky and finds another history book in the first compartment he emerges in next, tying up the game 2-2 with 24 seconds left. Sammy gets confused when he comes up in the same spot he placed two books in a second time, allowing Tommy to take the lead with 10 seconds left. No one finds anything else before time expires.

“Okay, that’s it!” Kirk says as he appears back onscreen. “Silver Snakes got a little confused in the maze there—let’s get the bins and see how each team did.” A spotter brings the bins over as Kirk kneels beside them and begins to count. “Green Monkeys got one, two, three books—they’re all marked ‘History’. And the Silver Snakes got…one, two books! The Green Monkeys get the half Pendant of Life!” Kirk pauses to allow applause. “So now, the Green Monkeys are ahead, one Pendant to a half Pendant. But now, it’s time for the third and final Temple Game, worth a full Pendant of Life. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3…”

Olmec begins to explain the final Game:
“When the men left the school and officially accepted Angela Merici’s philosophies, they gave Angela enough money to build a proper school so she could stop holding it in her house. However, they had to clear out a large quarry to build it—just like you’re about to do. When Kirk gives the signal, grab a boulder and toss it above your head. Then, your partner will catch the boulder as it rolls down and then place it in your bin. The first team to clear all their boulders, or…the team with the most boulders at the end of sixty seconds wins!”

“This one is for the Temple,” Kirk explains. “Let’s put sixty seconds on the clock!” The clock slams down in the bottom corner, ready to go. “On your mark, get set, GO!”

This game remains pretty even all the way through—the Green Monkeys score first, and the Silver Snakes get a boulder in their bin just a second or two later. About halfway through the game, the Green Monkeys fail to catch one of their boulders, allowing the Silver Snakes to pull ahead. When 15 seconds remain, the Silver Snakes miss a boulder, and the Green Monkeys tie it up. With only five seconds left, the Green Monkeys miss a boulder, and the Silver Snakes pull ahead again just before time expires.

“Okay, that’s it!” Kirk shouts. “Come here, you guys—we had rocks flying everywhere in that one, didn’t we? Let’s count ‘em up and see how we did here…looks like the Green Monkeys got one, two, three, four, five boulders. And the Silver Snakes…they got one, two, three, four, five, six boulders! That gives the Silver Snakes the full Pendant, so they’ve got a Pendant and a half; the Green Monkeys just have one—the Silver Snakes are goin’ to the Temple!” Sammy and Vanessa, still strapped to the apparatus, applaud excitedly. “Green Monkeys, you guys were a great team, too—it was a close match. We’ve got a great gift for you guys, and here’s what it is!” They receive a backpack from Outdoor Products.

As the prize disappears off-screen, Kirk is seen standing beside the now-unstrapped winning team. “Now it’s time to see if the Silver Snakes can make it through Olmec’s Temple; retrieve the Torn Veil of Angela Merici, right after this!”

The camera pans in on the Temple and zooms in on one of the skeleton’s skulls in the Crypt as the title appears onscreen, and we go to a commercial.

We return from the break and find Kirk standing in front of the Temple with the winning team.

“Welcome back to Legends: Rebirth,” he says. “The Silver Snakes have proven themselves worthy, and now they’ve earned the right to enter Olmec’s Temple. But first, Olmec will give them some information to help them retrieve the Torn Veil of Angela Merici…”

Olmec begins to explain the layout as the camera gives us a first-person tour of the Temple:
“You could start…by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeletons, and pass into the Rope Labyrinth! Maneuver through the ropes, and climb into the Magician’s Chamber. Pull the rabbit from the correct hat, and a door may open into the Clockwork Room. Set the clocks for the correct time, and pass into the Room…of the Golden Torches! Light the correct torch, and open the door to the SHRIIIINE of the Silver Monkey! Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Room…of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription and shout it out to open the door to the Pharaoh’s Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Dungeon, where you could smash through the wall into the Dark Forest…but beware of the Temple Guards that may inhabit the trees! Find the key in the tree, and you’ll enter…the Snake Pit. Place the snakes in the hollow stump, and you’ll gain entry to the Atlantean Altar. Uncover the tile that lets in the waters of Atlantis, then…crawl through the Labyrinth, climb through the Ledges, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate! The choices are yours and yours alone!” Olmec pauses. “You won 1½ Pendants in the Temple Games. Who’s going first?”

“I am,” says Vanessa, raising her hand.

“Very well, Vanessa,” Olmec replies. “When Kirk gives the signal, you’ll race through the Gates into the Temple and make your way toward the Torn Veil. Hidden inside the Temple are Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but…if you’re caught without a Pendant, you’ll be taken out of the Temple, and it’ll be Sammy’s turn to enter and try his luck. Hidden somewhere in the Temple is the other half of your Pendant. If you can find it and you’re carrying the other half, you’ll receive an extra life. If you can reach the Torn Veil, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish. Return through the Gates with the Torn Veil of Angela Merici in three minutes, and you’ll both be handsomely rewarded…and here’s how!”

• Just for making it this far, they’ll get a bicycle from Mongoose.
• If they can grab the Torn Veil within three minutes, they’ll also receive a 4-in-1 game table.
• And if they can bring the Torn Veil out of the Temple before three minutes expires, they’ll win a trip to the Bahamas.

“All right, let’s see if they can win that whole…shebang,” Kirk remarks. “Vanessa, let’s get you out in front here—let’s set the clock for three minutes!” The clock slams down in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, ready to go.

“Olmec, lower the gate.” Olmec moans gutturally as the gate is lowered, and the black lights under him go out.

“On your mark,” Kirk begins, “get set, GO!”

“There she goes—up, up, up the stairs into the Temple!” Kirk narrates via a voice-over. Vanessa slides down into the Ledges, where she stalls for a few seconds before the first TEMPLE GUARD jumps out and grabs her by the leg (2:48). “Oh, no—Temple Guard!” the voice-over narrates as Vanessa hands over her Pendant. “She’s got a Pendant, though, so on she goes!” Vanessa searches the Ledges for an exit, but can’t seem to find one. She finally hits the actuator that leads to the upper crawl tube to the Rope Labyrinth, and the door opens. “That’ll take her into the Rope Labyrinth—hopefully she can make it through!” the Kirk voice-over narrates. Vanessa progresses to the other side of the Rope Labyrinth, failing to see the hidden half-Pendant on the actuator to the Clockwork Room located just above her head. She hits the actuator for the Atlantean Altar, and the door opens (2:20). She heads into the room and starts pulling tiles off the back wall. She is forced to pull seven incorrect tiles off the wall until finally finding the bottom left-hand tile, which floods the room with blue light and opens the door to the Clockwork Room (2:02). “Okay, that’s it—now she’s going up, into the Clockwork Room!” the “Kirk-over” narrates as Vanessa begins to climb the ladder. “She’s making good time so far, but Sammy might have to head in at any moment!” Almost as if he had heard Kirk, the second TEMPLE GUARD ambushes Vanessa the second she steps off the ladder into the Clockwork Room (1:51).

“Oh, second Temple Guard! Now it’s Sammy’s turn!” the voice-over explains. Sammy looks around for a few seconds before heading up the stairs and then sliding down into the Ledges. “This guy wants to travel the world—let’s see if he can successfully navigate his way through the Temple!” the voice-over says. After passing up the half-Pendant, Sammy makes it to the Clockwork Room where Vanessa was taken out (1:29). He gets to work setting the clocks in the room for twelve o’clock, which is what the giant clock on the Temple Guard door in the back of the room is set for. After a few seconds of difficulty setting one clock, he finally gets it, and the door to the Room of the Golden Torches opens (1:10). “Okay, that door’s open!” a now-live Kirk says. “The Golden Torch Room is open!” Sammy looks around confused for a few seconds, then for some reason, starts climbing the ladder back down to the Atlantean Altar. “No, wait—he’s going back! He’s going the long way around!” As Sammy almost drops off the ladder in the Atlantean Altar, the camera shows his face, and he has a “What am I doing?” look on his face. He begins climbing back up the ladder, and makes it back into the Clockwork Room (0:41). “All right—now he’s back on track!” Kirk narrates. Sammy progresses into the Room of the Golden Torches, where he grabs the torch-lighter at the back of the room. He goes to the front of the room and touches the middle torch, but nothing happens. He moves on to touch the rightmost torch, the torch lights up in a bright golden glow, and the door to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey opens (0:29). “Okay—into the Shrine of the Siiiiilver Monkey!” Kirk narrates. Sammy rushes into the room and grabs the base of the monkey statue, brings it back to the front of the room and places it on the pedestal. When he goes back to get the middle, the third TEMPLE GUARD intercepts him (0:21).

“Oh, that’s it!” Kirk shouts as the Temple Guard drags Sammy backstage. “They don’t have any more Pendants, so that’s the end of the game! Those Temple Guards really didn’t want ‘em in the Temple—but still, they get the bikes anyway for playing, and I know they had a great time—I know I did. Unfortunately, we’ve gotta get out of here, but we’ll see you next time. Just remember: it’s not just Legends, it’s Legends: Rebirth! Buh-bye!”

Kirk and Vanessa chat as the credits roll. The camera snakes up the wall of the Dungeon and then gives a first-person view of the Room of the Secret Password, the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, and the Room of the Golden Torches. Sammy emerges from the Temple, and he, Kirk and Vanessa continue to talk as the Stone Stanley logo appears onscreen.

The Torn Veil of Angela Merici
Season 1, Layout 5
Artifact Location
: The Room of the Secret Password
Team: Silver Snakes (Vanessa Carrillo & Sammy Killian)
Pendants: 1½
Result: Caught by three Temple Guards (0:21 left)

There have been lots of great Legends episodes in the four non-consecutive years it has been produced. However, this episode isn’t among them. A deceptively simple Temple design that some people might have thought would give this medium-speed team a victory was complicated by the fact that the half-Pendant needed to be found, no questions asked.

Vanessa was probably the faster of the two contestants, but she was still a little on the slow side. She spent over twenty seconds trying to exit the Ledges, and almost went into the Snake Pit, which she didn’t need to do. Still, she was better than some, and was taken out in the Clockwork Room before completing the room’s objective with 1:51 to go.

In addition to being on the slow side, Sammy was also quite slow-witted. After he completed the Clockwork Room’s objective, he started to backtrack into the Atlantean Altar even though the door to the Room of the Golden Torches opened—but that’s not what sealed this team’s fate. The hidden half-Pendant was located on an actuator that wasn’t even used during the Temple Run—a pretty cruel joke by the producers (I guess they were banking on the team starting in the Crypt). Because he lacked the other half, Sammy was taken out in the Shrine with only 21 seconds remaining.

The half-Pendant had to be found, no way around it, for this run to be a success. But at the rate this team was going, they would’ve been lucky if they simply reached the Torn Veil.

Rating: 3.5 out of 10

Notes and Trivia: This is one of the few times that the objective for the Room of the Golden Torches is completed, and one of only four times it’s completed in Season 1.

The legend in this episode is very similar to the one from “The Smashed Printing Plate of Frederick Douglass”. I guess even the writers can have a slow day…

I find it a little interesting that this is the first triple seizure where the team had 1 ? Pendants rather than just one. :o I do like the idea of producers being rather unfair like this from time to time, though? mixes things up a little.  Can't wait for the last three episodes of the season!
